I enjoyed a small cup of gelato. Server was friendly. This was a nice treat on a super hot and humid day.

Café del Hidalgo has amazing gelato! I was thrilled to find so many vegan/plant-based flavors, and they were delicious. Service was friendly and plenty of seating. A perfect treat spot with plenty of options for everyone!

On St George St in downtown St Augustine is the best quaint cafe that serves a variety of coffee, smoothies, milkshakes, gelato, crepes, sandwiches and salads. Today we stopped in for gelato and it was sooo delicious! I recommend getting the medium size and they will accommodate 2 flavors! I ordered the wild berry and grapefruit! My son had key lime pie and mango. My daughter got hazelnut and toasted marshmallow! They had a huge selection of gelato! Everything is beautifully displayed! All blends were A+! I will try the pistachio next time. I observed they didn't add food dyes which is nice. They also had a cannoli creme crepe that looks amazing! There's a nice chill vibe here. It feels relaxing to step off the busy St George and enjoy a desert. I highly recommend as they make everything homemade.

What a magical place with unbelievable magical flavors..... I don't know where to start. Gelato better than in Italy. The owner is making by himself from the Old family recipe of his grandfather and father just unbelievable. You have to try to understand what I'm talking about...... and the coffee straight from Italy Wood roasted no acidy flavor...just pure flavor of unbelievable coffee....a place you must experience when you are visiting St Augustine!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Creamy, fantasy-inducing, rich, tasty, dreamy, delightful, mouthwatering..... the gelato here is OUT OF THIS WORLD! It's a tiny place: good for a quick stop (especially for cooling down from the hot FL weather). The owners are very attentive! Try the pistachio flavor in a waffle cone! You'll savor every bite!

I told my friend I was going to be in St. Augustine for the day and asked her for dessert recommendations. She raved about this place so my boyfriend and I went. It is a mixture between a restaurant and gelateria, and the atmosphere is kind of like a pub! Anyway the gelato WOWWWWWWWW it was so good!! The lady behind the counter was so nice and let us have as many samples as we wanted! I eventually settled on hazelnut because it's typically my favorite and it was everything I wanted it to be!! My boyfriend got the chocolate hazelnut and that was also super yummy!! Another honorable mentions is the pistachio! Next time we're in St. Augustine again, we will definitely be getting more gelato from here!!

Stopped in for a hot chocolate and cappuccino. There was a bit of a line. There is a gelato counter inside as well as food. Prices were steep.

"An absolute gem! The location is fantastic, making it a perfect spot to stop by. Their homemade ice cream is simply amazing, full of rich flavors and creamy goodness. The Italian wood-roasted coffee is exceptional--bold, aromatic, and a true delight for coffee lovers. On top of that, the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Overall, a fantastic place that I highly recommend

Best gelato I've had in Florida. Taste like I'm in Italy. Love it my niece got the bacio and their Reese's peanut butter cup. I got the bacio, is like baci chocolate and then Nicolla which is like a hazelnut.

Staff were great and venue ok but gelato tasted stale or old. We've both had good gelato and know the difference between stale and fresh.

"First Coast" food - 2 of 2…read more Ok, so this is food ... and it isn't. I didn't know where to eat in charming St. Augustine, Florida - America's oldest settlement - and would wait to return to Jacksonville to figure out where I'd then have dinner. I stumbled into Claude's Chocolate admiring the historic Alcazar Hotel which now houses city hall, a museum, and then some. As such, a dessert from practically adjacent Claude's would serve as lunch. Saying "old world European" may sound trite, but it's applicable here where the endeavor has a craftsman-like dedication, be it in the hand made ice cream/gelato, the chocolates and candies they select, and the tidiness of their small store. They do have enough space, though, for people to eat in and it was nice and cool inside. I had two ice cream flavors side by side - strawberry cheesecake and Belgium chocolate. This ice cream "lunch" was delicious and I savored the taste slowly as I sat inside but looked outside the storefront windows toward the Alcazar and its landscaped square. I was treated politely and with patience as I chose what I wanted from the glass case. I also purchased a small quantity of candy for the road. Claude's Chocolate is not a chain chocolate or ice cream store. This is sort of a boutique for fine chocolates and higher quality desserts and sweet treats. The prices are a little bit higher, but you get what you pay for.

This small chocolatier brings massive flavor & variety when it comes to their products. Whether…read moreit's specialty truffles, chocolate bars, coated nuts or classic chocolate seashells, you're sure to be amazed. They have fudge, popcorns, brittles & even a variety of chocolate based wine & liqueur. While the delectable scent of fresh chocolate draws you in, the loaded displays around you are sure to keep you there. They've recently undergone some renovations which are finally done & the new store looks great. The floor has really been opened up & they did a great job at utilizing the space. Everything is organized nicely, prices are listed clearly & the store itself is spotless. While it may not be the biggest, it's easy to get carried away here as you look at the deliciousness surrounding you. I haven't personally tried them yet but their hot chocolates definitely caught my eye, they offer a nice handful of varieties. Even the coffee lovers, like myself, are recognized. They have a chocolate-flavored coffee that sounds interesting so I'm thinking about grabbing a bag on my next visit. The chocolate covered espresso beans are also delicious, although I like the milk chocolate ones way more than the dark. Every time I've visited this location the employees are so friendly. They acknowledge you as soon as you enter, they almost always offer help & they're efficient at handling crowds. Customer service goes a long way & they do a great job here. If you're just passing through or staying in St. Augustine then you need to give them a visit. In a world full of mass produced chocolate, it's a breath of fresh air to find a company that cares about serving amazing products. You can even do a factory tour at this location to find out all about their process!
