this place has such a special place in my heart. from late nights to early mornings, the cafe always has you covered. I've come here sober, hungover, drunk.. name it. And it hits every time! Over the years, I have slowly grown out of only ordering the longsilog (longanisa, egg, rice hold breakfast combo). However, it's still delicious. I just don't remember it being the price it is now. Will I still be there? Hell yeah! (side note, they have some of the best halo halo). halo halo the ice is melted shaved ice texture, not sweet at all, you choose either mango or ube ice cream inside, jellies, and rice cereal. (I'm going off memory here, so the rice cereal might be incorrect. just order it, you won't regret it!). soft scrambled egg with shrimp and rice this is in the rice plates section on the menu (I had to look it up, I never noticed it before). the sauce was slightly sweet but the meal was completely destroyed. fried chicken I mean; never thought it would be GOOD, but my boyfriend was so adamant about me testing it.. and it's delicious. crispy skin (almost like chips), juicy, flavorful, and with mangtomas sauce!! longsilog my tried and true? ugh, the suka too (vinegar), incredible. garlic rice? always a huge and delicious portion. god I miss it. bangus sisig bang-oose. milkfish for those that don't know. ugh, the jalapeno, tomato, lime!! and the flavor on this? I could marry it. it's also a favorite in the family, so we order this almost every time we see it. the skin? crispy. amazing every time. bangus silog someone in our group loves it even more than me, they got their own personal fish with egg and rice to eat with it. and that was DEVOURED by the way tocino silog honestly, the tocino was not giving its name. it's traditionally sweet pork, but it wasn't sweet. plus it was a little tough so this was one of the few times I saw my boyfriend (who ordered it), have leftovers AND didn't want to take the rest home. lugaw think hainan style chicken, in a ginger hearty broth, with softened vegetables, with a side of rice. this was a weekly special and just so happened to be its day of the week, whilst I decided to have a hangover. it was perfect - I want to order/eat this weekly. you're gonna come here for the gambling, but might as well eat some good food while you're here too. the service is always pretty standard, free refills on soda too :)

This is actually one of our favorite go to for Filipino food in the bay and it is open 24/7! Having been here many times, we have not had a bad meal experience here. All the dishes we've had has been so good. Then again we stick to the Asian dishes. We've been here after airport pick ups, for lunch, for brunch, for 4th meals, and still can count on delicious food to fill our bellies. Yes they have an extensive menu, but we've never ventured outside of their filipino or Chinese dishes. Maybe that is the key? Their Sinigang is so so good! You can also ask for just sabaw btw, you're welcome. Mmmmm

Very average Asian American food. Nothing to rave about. Service is average. It's in a casino with old fashioned interior.

    Very disappointed with my order.

Very disappointed with my order. I ordered this before and it was never like this. This time, the food was completely soggy and no flavor. definitely not worth the price. I ordered 2 for $47.

Colma Cafe, I thought it was something new. But this is actually the cafe/restaurant inside Lucky Chances Casino. Which I've had their food in the past. I remember the food being really good especially tho r fried rice. But this time it was just ok. We ordered a couple of their silogs( tapsilog and Longsilog), we also had got spaghetti and fried tofu. The Longsilog was good. But I'm disappointed at the tapsilog. The meat looked and tasted like it was a day old. The fried tofu was not crispy. We did love the spaghetti though. It was Filipino style spaghetti but it wasn't too sweet and the cheese went well with the sauce. We loved it. The service was ok too. There was no line and the food was ready in 15 mins. Maybe next time it'll be a better experience.

Came by Friday night around midnight and it was packed. I heard a lot about this place but never tried it out until tonight. Maybe it was an off night but the wet noodles were SO SALTY. Spaghetti was pretty good, tasted similar to jollibee. Basically no service was given besides taking our order, taking food out, and coming by to give us our check. They did not check in on our table and one of our dish came 20 mins after everyone else's. Pretty pricey for the meal, bill was $170 for 6 dishes. Overall, not impressed, very underwhelming.

Came here for late night dinner after an event since this place is almost open for 24 hours. Lechon (5/5); Not too dry and very meaty. Comes with great sauces Chow Fun (5/5): A bit salty, but I devoured it. Filipino Spaghetti (4/5): Not a personal fan of spaghetti, but it's great if you like it on the sweeter side. Garlic fried rice (5/5); Super flavorful. I love it.

Good honest food....feels like not in SF. I find it to be very unique in this area...like off-strip Vegas.

Lucky Chances, Cafe Colma, might be my favorite part of going to an event.... this is my version of afters... After an event when my feet hurt and I am severely dehydrated, this is where we go. It has nourished me back to help and brought my soul back to life. Yes, it gets busy, but all good things come with time. The sinigang has my heart and soul.

    Crispy pata

Came here with some friends around 2:30 so the place is just starting to slow down. We put our name on the waitlist and were quickly called to be seated. The restaurant is like your typical cafe style with counter seating and various booths. It was kind of loud initially but quiets down as people leaving. There's a sign in the wall by each table stating "1hour limit". Luckily, the food came out quickly or we wouldn't have make the 1 hr deadline We ordered the Belgian waffle, crispy pata and 2 meat combo of tapsilog and chopsilog with garlic rice and 2 eggs. The waffle was just average, something one can make at home. The meat was salty and dry for my taste. We all liked the crispy pata as it was crispy on the outside and juicy in the inside.

Fried Chicken (Filipino style) is the best I've ever had. It's better than Max's of the Philippines fried chicken!

Adding Beef Ribs Nilaga to my favorite dish list at Cafe Colma where you'll love delicious Filipino, American and Chinese food, attentive, fast and friendly service in a busy, clean diner-feel vibe with flat screens

This is a great diner family place. Super casual. Also a late night drunk place for those who end up out really late and need some food. You've got this place to rely on. Large menu! So many items! Filipino food, American, breakfast, cocktails, Chinese, a bit of everything! FOOD- The pork adobo had wonderful sauce and flavor. Great over rice, you choose plain or garlic rice. The two meat item Filipino rice and egg plate was good too, super oily as you'd expect. I can't eat too much of it but it's enjoyable once in a while. I like the Filipino sausage for choice of meat, wish they'd give me more than two slices DESSERT- The halo halo is amazing. Choose mango or ube ice cream on top.

Wonton soup with chicken added, not salty which I like
    Emy B.

It's after 11pm and we were all hungry. This place rocks for a good hot meal whether it be Filipino, Chinese, or American food. Hubby got the Patty Melt, but wasn't what he expected. He said it was just okay. What shines here are Filipino & Chinese dishes for me. We shared a Wonton soup with chicken added. Chicken was tender and soup wasn't oily, dumplings were delish and not salty. Their Silog garlic rice plates are a solid choice that comes with two eggs cooked the way you like. No frills friendly service and the coffee & sodas keep coming if you need refills.

Another guest was waiting for their take-out order. One server working the front of the house. Service was minimal but efficient at the same time. She brought us everything we asked for immediately. The menu is fairly large, but we still managed to order variations of dishes not listed on the menu. Most Chinese restaurants will accommodate a guest request so long as they have the ingredients and they know how to compose the dish. How they work out the pricing may be something else. At the table immediately behind my mom, I heard the guest ordering a Hot & Sour Soup, add Won Ton. One of my favorite mash-ups! We ended up having a very nice conversation over lunch. Of course, we ordered the same soup and the price they charged was a reasonable $16.95. I've had some places try to charge me for two soups which I think is ridiculous. We also ordered a Seafood Chow Mein and a Chicken Dry Fried Chow Fun with Yau Chow Sum. All three dishes came out nice and hot. The flavors were on point very satisfying. I goofed and didn't a picture of the Chow Fun because it came out last and I was already tucking into my Chow Mein. Mom enjoyed it so we'll be back!

Ordering was easy, the staff were genuinely warm and accommodating, and the food came out in about 10 minutes! No complaints on the service side at all. Honestly, the team here was a highlight. The food, however, was a bit hit or miss. What I'd recommend: Honey Walnut Prawns: The clear standout of the meal. Well executed, good flavor, and the shrimp were a generous size. If you come here, get this. What I'd skip: Fujian Fried Rice: Unfortunately pretty disappointing. The texture was mushy and it lacked flavor throughout. Wouldn't order again. Deep Fried Flounder: Way too heavily battered. The thick coating of flour overpowered everything and there wasn't much flavor coming through underneath. Could be a solid dish with a lighter touch. Seafood Pan-Fried Crispy Noodle: Decent enough but pretty flat on flavor. Just okay. Deep Fried Fish Balls: The flavor was actually there, which was a plus, but they were a bit overcooked and came out harder than they should have been. Overall, the service genuinely saved the experience. The staff were great and the vibe was pleasant. But the food didn't quite land for me and I likely won't be back. If you do go, stick to the Honey Walnut Prawns and maybe explore some dishes I didn't try.

But, despite…read moremaking reservations and confirming days in advance, the receptionist made us wait in line for a number. That said, the wait was only a few minutes for a 1:00 PM Friday lunch. I can live with that. We were shown to a middle table surrounded by other diners, but able to sit comfortably without bumping into anyone. We could get in and out of our seats without doing gymnastics or mortal combat - a problem in the past here. The ambience was festive without being explosively loud. Wce could actually hold meaningful conversation - such a lovely surprise! The furnishings could have done with some upgrading (carpets and decor felt a bit shabby). But the lighting was comfortable - I was grateful not to have glaring fluorescent fixtures illuminating us and the food. Service was unusually attentive, as I was accustomed to being abandoned by wait staff after putting in our orders in the past. I suspect they recognized our guests, two prominent and beloved retired local politicians. The variety and creativity of their dim sum was the best I've tasted in years. No ubiquitous dumpling fillings here! No gummy gravies or sauces. Each flavor was distinct, unique and scrumptious. Two rice roll dishes were the standouts. One had green spinach in the rice noodle and a crunchy, but chewy texture with the shrimp filling. The cha siu roll was generously filled and included a light sauce reminiscent of that used in cha siu bows. Every dish was fresh, sporting beautiful vibrant colors, with delicious sauces for each item. Servings were generous and satisfying. The roast duck was to die for and quickly devoured. After a hideous dinner banquet here years ago, (overpriced, slow and bad service, food served cold with sauces congealed, days-old rock cod passed off as "live from the tank", lobsters too tough to cut or eat), I had avoided coming back to Koi Palace until this current meal. Thankfully, this experience restored my faith and I will be returning more often. I am glad, because I've been following the chefs / owners for decades and admired their food since their Happy Valley hot pot days at Levi Plaza. Long live Koi Palace! I'm glad I gave it another chance.

We arrived a little after 10am on a Saturday morning and were able to get seated soon after. The restaurant was busy when we walked in but there were multiple open tables. The dim sum menu is quite extensive with several options along with a list of specials that you can order. My go-to options are generally the har gow (shrimp dumplings), siu mai, and the rice noodle roll. My partner often likes to order the beef tripe, chicken feet, and steamed spare ribs. He enjoyed each of those items and thought the quality was great. Each item we ordered was made well and tasty for the most part. We opted to try this multicolored version of har gow which had different flavors, and I did not enjoy it. I should've stuck with ordering original har gow, but am glad I tried something new. Some staff walk around with carts of various dim sum items and I noticed a mango pudding dish, but didn't have a chance to try it. We also ordered an item with flavored clams and a soy pudding dish, which tasted okay. I will say customer service was reliable. We enjoyed the jasmine green tea and asked for a few refills, the staff that assisted us were friendly & courteous. I am curious about visiting their new location at the nearby mall, which will open at the end of the year. Overall, it was a good dining experience and I would recommend visiting Koi Palace for dim sum with family/friends.

No water, just pure concentrated flavor. The restaurant gets its name from simmering, one of the essential Chinese cooking techniques, and you can taste that philosophy across the whole menu. The Dry Pot lived up to the hype, but the real surprise was the skewers. Beef, lamb, and chicken, intensely flavorful and rich. I can't stop thinking about them. The potstickers were also way better than expected. Usually a throwaway order at most places, but here they were juicy and packed with flavor. The beef pancakes were fantastic. Golden and crispy on the outside, juicy flavor bomb on thes inside. Both crunchy and a little chewy (in the good way). Came back a few weeks later with friends and ordered the whole grilled fish, which I'd been eyeing since my first visit. It looked magnificent, but it didn't really pop the way the other dishes did. If you love fish it's worth trying, but the dry pot, skewers, beef pancakes, and dumplings are the stars here. We also got a few veggie dishes which were all great accompaniments...but nobody is here for the veggies. A few practical notes. They have a beer tap but it doesn't work, so if you're into beer, they've got a few options by the bottle. Parking is easy since it's in the Serramonte Center, and you can combine it with a trip to Jagalchi, Target, or whatever else you need. Both times I came there was plenty of seating. Things started okay as we ordered a few lamb skewers as an appetizer which were a little tough, but had a nice cumin and spicy flavor. However, the main course was the biggest disappointment. In particular, the two fish noodle soups tasted almost identical despite one supposedly having green peppercorn and the other having pickled vegetable. Both were very under-salted and had very little flavor. The chow mein was equally bland, and the noodles were also very mushy and overcooked. I have never found myself reaching for the soy sauce at restaurants, but I did this time, not that it helped much. Overall, the meal felt very unsatisfying. Perhaps we just ordered the wrong items (maybe we should have tried their signature dry pots?) but after this experience, I'm not keen to give this place a second chance.

They are located in a strip mall near several different food places, bakery, and a bowling alley. This is a solid dim sum place, with no frills and reasonable prices. You order off a printed menu that's in Chinese with tiny English subtitles. You can also order off their regular menu if you want to supplement the dim sum dishes. Their food is very good, and some dishes were excellent. The service was pretty quick, and before we knew it, all our dishes were out with almost no room on the lazy Susan. The standouts for me were: + Steamed custard buns (piggy buns) - I ordered these for the kiddies, but dang they are so good. The custard filling is so velvety, it's almost like pudding. I think I detected a hint of coconut too - yum. + Beef chow fun - this had a really good wok flavor and the noodles were less wide than most. The noodles didn't clump either, and the bean sprouts were still crispy. + Roasted pork belly - the skin was so crispy and the pork was juicy. We ordered most of the basic dishes like har gaw, sui mai, noodle rolls, turnip cake, stuffed eggplant, chicken feet, etc. and they were all above average. My only complaint is if you don't read Chinese, the menu is a little hard to navigate. The English subtitles are so small that if you're looking for something, you have to scan the front and back of the menu trying to find the item. I was looking for sticky rice in lotus leaf, but found sticky rice roll and thought it was the same thing. It wasn't. The sticky rice roll was not bad, but I found the rice drier than when it's in lotus leaf. We ordered a few things by mistake because the English subtitles were not that descriptive. Overall, a great alternative to more popular places like Koi Palace. The menu may not be as creative as Koi, but you don't have to deal with the lines and you still get great food.
