Ordered the lollipop chicken lunch special at 12:15. Came out to $13.50. The lunch special comes with an egg roll and a choice of steamed rice or fried rice. They said the food would come out in 5 to 10 minutes. It was spot on, got my food at 12:21. Guys, I'm not gonna lie, this place is a banger. They have a separate tub for the sauce so the chicken doesn't get soggy. It was super crispy and super flavorful. And then when you dip it in that sauce, sweet and salty, oh my gosh it was so good. And it was a lot of food too. Like six or seven wings, a good chunk of fried rice, and an egg roll. For $13.50 you honestly cannot beat that. I thoroughly enjoyed eating here and I would give this place a five out of five. Misc Notes: I would recommend finding a place to sit down and eat this because I ate it in my car and I low key made a mess. It could be a skill issue on my part though. Trying to self sauce the wings in the car was kinda hard. This place is to go and pick up only, they don't have dine in. There's also not a lot of parking. There's a small parking lot across the street that looks residential and there's limited street parking. I ended up parking in front of the coin laundromat that's about a two minute walk away.

I was pleasantly surprised by the portion size of the lunch combo, great price and great food. I tried their famous lollipop chicken, which was very crispy, and I loved the sauce that came with it. For $12, the combo includes 6 pieces of lollipop chicken, rice, an egg roll, and a slice of orange. They accept cards. Street parking available. To-go orders only. Tip: Even if a specific lunch item isn't listed (for example, sweet and sour chicken), ask anyway, they're happy to make it as a lunch combo.

Beef Chow Fun and Chicken Wing with Garlic Sauce (Lollipop Chicken)

TO GO ONLY. Ordered the Chicken Wing with Garlic Sauce (Lollipop Chicken, comes with 10 pcs) for $16.95 and an order of the Beef Chow Fun for $12.95. Make sure to ask for chili oil or soy sauce because they won't give it to you unless you ask, but their chili oil is complete garbage here. It's not spicy at all so bring your own as well as your own salt! The legendary lollipop chicken lives true to the hype! VERY crispy, crunchy and if you get a piece that used to be a flat, you're lucky because those ones are the juiciest and have some fat in them and y'all know fat is flavor!! The batter on the chicken is airy and light, not overly battered and doesn't give you that gross oily feeling you sometimes feel after eating fried chicken. They definitely got frying chicken down to a tee. Everyone raves about the garlic sauce but honestly.. It wasn't anything special. It tasted like a more savory / soy sauce added sweet and sour sauce with garlic. It was good but the chicken is good on its own (you should add your own salt though). My friend said it reminded him of an orange chicken sauce which he didn't care too much for either. GET THE BEEF CHOW FUN! It has an insane amount of wok hei (that complex smokey, savory flavor and aroma in Chinese cooking), and the noodles were so chewy and bouncy, definitely not overcooked in the slightest! Need to add soy sauce or good chili oil to this though, but I'd rather have something need salt than be too salty. I'm coming back.

S&p pork, snow peas, hot & sour soup, lollipop chicken, beef chow fun

Was just introduced to Sky Dragon and wow color me impressed. We had the chicken lollipops, salt & pepper pork chops, beef chow fun, hot and sour soup, and veggies. All was on point but particularly impressed with their fried chicken and pork. I love salt & pepper (fish, chicken, pork, etc.) and they have their seasoning and batter, everything, dialed in. It's not easy - lots of places don't get it right - but somehow theirs is light and crispy even after sitting out for awhile at a party. It also seemed like a huge amount of food - great bang for your buck! Would definitely get takeout again here - ASAP.

Came here around 5:30 pm, not busy at all. There is a parking lot in front of the apartments and near the 7/11 very hard to find parking along as the street parking on the sides. They are only takeaway, doesn't look like they will open up the dining room soon. You put your order to the cashier and there is seating you can take to wait for your order. I got the sky dragon fried rice, super good, and filled to the brim. I got the chow mein as well, super flavorful! The main star of the show was the lollipop chicken, with garlic sauce. Super flavorful and I can eat the whole chicken off the bone, I don't like too much fat and it's so good and delicious full of meat. I recommend the lollipop chicken heavy, I can eat a whole party tray of that alone!

Came here on a Tuesday at 1:00pm. It is take out only. They are quick and food is hot. We got the tomato beef chow mein, lollipop chicken and their chicken and string bean lunch special. Lollipop chicken was yummy especially when you add the sauce. The lunch special was good, needed the sauce that comes with it to give it more flavor. The tomato beef chow mein was ok.

It has been at least 6 years since I wrote a review on Sky Dragon. I've gone several times since my last review and decided to do a refresh. The Lollipop Chicken has always been one of the best dishes and is still a great dish. The chicken has a nice garlic flavor, meaty, tender and nice fried crunchy taste. The garlic sauce that you get on the side gives it that little extra over the top flavor. I also ordered some Beef Chow Mein, the noodles weee skinny and flat, good flavor, couldn't really taste the beef even though they give you a lot of meat. Very generous portions. Sky Dragon is top of my list for Chinese Food in SSF. They still only do take-out, staff is nice and they are fast at cooking up the orders.

Saw a food review video of this place and wanted to give it a try. This spot is take-out only and has no seating. Parking is a bit tough with only street parking and the 7/11 parking, but it was fine. Lunch Combo w/Lollipop Chicken (5/5): AMAZING! I had to drive 50 minutes to get to this restaurant and I would gladly do it again. The chicken was so tender/juicy and the breading was so flavorful. The sauce that came with it was out of this world. I've never had anything like this.

I'm just here to talk about the lollipop chicken--WOW. It was incredibly juicy on the inside and perfectly crunchy on the outside. Every bite was flavorful and satisfying. Definitely a must-order!

I finally tried their famous Lollipop Chicken! As expected, the chicken wings were juicy and crunchy, pairing perfectly with their garlic sauce. It is a bit on the pricier side for a takeout box of Chinese (about $18 after tax), but I guess price matches demand! I do want to try some of their other dishes and give a more well-rounded review. But, just speaking for their lollipop wings, I thought it was solid and worth a visit if you're in the area.

Standout was definitely the Peking duck - super tasty, generous portions, and they prepared the duck 3 ways, including a delicious soup with the bones. It is so so good and the presentation is beautiful. Skin is crispy, meat is tender, wrappers are thin. They give you an option to have the Duck remains (bones and left over meat) to be made into a soup or stir fry and we opted for the soup. It was so clean and healthy tasting. One of the best places for Peking duck in the bay. A must try

I don't eat porridge often, usually when really under the weather so I'm fortunate to not gone to get some in a while. I called my pickup order since I didn't see an online option. The store front is Ichi Ramen so it's confusing in case you get lost in the busy plaza. I ordered shrimp, fish and plain porridge (congee) along with beef chow fun. 4 dishes total. Total came out to under $60 and it was a heavy bag! The porridge has a nice thick consistency without being runny. It had flavor to not need seasoning and surprisingly large portions of seafood. The chow fun was decent but I've definitely tasted better. Kinda pricy at $18 though the beef slices were big. I appreciated it wasn't as oily as other chow fun I've had so easy to eat without feeling kinda gross after. Solid value, good food, and worth a rec for porridge. All in all, I'd definitely return. 4.5 stars.

For some proteins, it is advisable to get an extra bowl to remove the protein as it will overcook in the crazy hot congee. The friend Chinese donut was crispy and airy, slightly oily so fryer oil may have needed to be hotter and fry cook need to slow down and let oil temp recover. Place does get busy quick and may need to wait for a table though.

5 stars - Genuine Northern Chinese Gem in Milbrae…read more I've been searching for years for a spot that does real Northern Chinese food without watering it down for the American palate, and New China absolutely delivers. The owners clearly know their stuff--Shandong style cooking shines through. We started with the pan-fried pork & chive dumplings (煎饺) -- thick, chewy wrappers with perfectly seasoned filling and that ideal crispy bottom. Not the thin-skinned Cantonese style; these are hearty and satisfying, just like what you'd get in the north. Their zha jiang mian (炸酱面) is outstanding--the fermented soybean sauce is rich and deeply flavored, loaded with ground pork, cucumber matchsticks, and bean sprouts. The noodles have that perfect al dente bite. It's the real deal, not the sweet Americanized version. We also got the cumin lamb skewers (孜然羊肉串) -- tender, intensely spiced with cumin, chili flakes, and sesame, grilled over real flame so they have that smoky char. And the sour cabbage stir-fried with glass noodles (酸菜粉丝) was spot-on: tangy, comforting, and full of that signature Northern balance of sour and savory. Excellent appetizers Portions are generous, prices are very reasonable for the quality, and the place has that no-frills, family-run feel that makes you feel like you're eating at someone's home kitchen. Service was friendly and quick, even when busy. If you're tired of the same old General Tso's and orange chicken everywhere, do yourself a favor and come here for authentic Northern Chinese flavors. This place is kind of a hole in the wall with its self proclaimed "Texas BBQ" and location. Parking can be tough if the parking lot is full, and I wish they picked a better spot to open this shop. It's off the beaten path for most Chinese restaurants in the area. The prices for BBQ aren't exactly cheap, however that can all be mitigated since they offer AYCE at a price starting at $35 a person with drinks. I love their lamb skewers and chinese hamburger. Lamb skewers were seasoned to how I expected them - with a spice mix mainly consisting of cumin. I also like how they include a fatty piece just before the last piece, which is They also offer spicy powder on the side that you can shake on your order to make it more spicy. The Chinese hamburger was very flavorful and authentic and very cheap for the price - much more value than ANY fast food restaurant and a lot healthier! We also ordered a liangpi and cumin chicken, both which were decent. This place offers very fair prices for chinese BBQ if you consider AYCE, since I have yet been to a chinese BBQ place that offers AYCE. Food comes out pretty quickly, and service is welcoming, especially if you're familiar with northern chinese hospitality. If you can look past the fading decor, colored utensils, and overall hole in the wall vibe, this place is actually pretty good if you're from northern china and looking for a homely vibe! Just don't expect Texas BBQ even if its in the name.
