make sure food is not fucking salty.... i was hungry i just ate the garlic rice and egg. The dinogoan was super salty...and when i paid using my debit card the waiter is looking over my shoulder to see how much i put on tip so I put zero$$$ then she smack her lips lolz.... her face got salty now she knows how i felt....
We came in today (Thursday lunch time) since my mom was craving some Filipino food. We had never been here before. We ordered the crispy pata, tortang talong, a cup of rice, and bistek silog. We enjoyed it all. The only one that took a bit of time to come out was the crispy pata, which we expected. The rice portions are huge! The table behind us had a bowl of rice and it came in giant bowl! Their portions are pretty hefty. You can definitely share a silog meal with another person. I have complaints about the service we received. They were quick and friendly. It's a pretty simple set up with wooden tables and chairs. But that's all you need to enjoy their food. Definitely have to go back and try more dishes. Need to save room for dessert.

First time here for a party of two during a Sunday afternoon. We got there at 12:30ish so best to wait because once we got our food there was a little wait. I got their Lechon Kawaii, pork adobo and garlic rice. All silog's comes with garlic rice or white rice and an over easy egg. You can add tomato for $2 extra (two sides combo upgrade is $3 more) I loved their Lechon sooooo tender and crispy paired well with the side of white vinegar or the brown sauce! We shared their sizzling sisig which was great per my cousin but I think it was a little dried without the egg? We got the combo of pork and chicken. Shared a Poncit Bihon, I always said more lemon the better but it was ok? I will try other other noodles dishes next time.
I was really excited to try this spot and ended up going all in with 5 dishes for takeout. Overall, the flavors leaned a bit on the salty side, especially the pork sizzling sisig. The Lechon Kawali was the star for me: a great balance of fat and meat with perfectly crispy skin that hit all the right notes. The halo halo was also a win, with generous amounts of toppings, though I still have to say Jollibee spaghetti remains superior in my book. One thing that surprised me was that the sisig doesn't come with rice; you have to add it on for an extra $4-5, which felt a little steep and not super clear upfront.
Stopped by Chibog on a Saturday around 5:45 PM and the line was already out the door. We waited about 30 minutes to get in, but once we were seated, the service was incredibly efficient: I was eating within 10 minutes of sitting down. I ordered the Chicken Tocino, and the portions are definitely generous. The chicken had a great, distinct char to it that added a lot of flavor, and the garlic rice was spot on. One heads up for regulars: They've changed their silog policy and now only serve one egg instead of two. The menu posted outside still says two, so check the physical menu inside for the most up-to-date info. Also, it gets pretty warm inside since there's no AC, so definitely keep that in mind if you're visiting on a hot day!
Came here for a weekday lunch and had a delicious meal. We got the pork sisig and the diniguan with a side of rice. The service was friendly and food came out quick. The sisig got a great crust on the bottom and the diniguan had rich flavor. It also came with a pepper you could break for some spice. Their hours are kind of odd, so it's hard to grab dinner there on a weeknight unless you have an early dinner. So maybe stop by for lunch or in the afternoon.
We came to Chibog after hearing it had the best sisig in town. The sisig came out on a sizzling plate. The portion was generous for two people to share. It was great - savory, crispy. We paired it with a side of garlic fried rice, which was the perfect combo. No complaints here as it wasn't ground breaking and just good old comfort food. I would definitely come back to try more Filipino classics on the menu!
Great Filipino food! Came here on a Saturday afternoon with a fairly large group of people (7) but we were seated pretty fast since some in our party arrived earlier than others. The restaurant itself is no-frills, which is what I expected. We ordered a handful of dishes to share: lechon kawali, chopsuey vegetables, lumpia shanghai, sizzling sisig, longanisa, and bowl of garlic rice. It was more than enough food for all of us, and we even had a good size of leftovers to take home. My favorite was the longanisa - it was so flavorful! The lumpia shanghai was good but a little drier than I'm used to. I would recommend everything except the chopsuey vegetables. It was pretty bland and felt overpriced for what it was (basically just standard mixed stir fry veggies with a bit of chicken in it). Overall, I would recommend coming here if you love Filipino food or want to try Filipino food! Would love to come back and try more things on the menu.
Someone saw me eating adobo at my kids swim class and told me I needed come here. And I'm glad they did. Chibog is fantastic: the food is great and flavorful, the servers are very friendly, and the portions are generous. We started with the lumpia Shanghai: the wrapper was crispy and light. The pork filling was tasty. We also got the sizzling sisig: this was a really good dish: the pork was shredded and very crispy from the skillet. However, I should note that it's more made of like shredded pork shoulder. I've also had sisig which is more made of fattier parts (like ears and tripe), which I really like. We also got the string beans and squash in coconut sauce. This was a great dish. My son doesn't usually eat vegetables, but he liked this. It pairs really nicely with the garlic rice (which was also outstanding).
Love this place!! For those who are unable to make the long lines at Katsuland, Chibog is also delicious! My favorite is the barbecue chicken a la carte - so good and plentiful portion! Simple goodness that should be part of any order. When I returned with friends, we got the sisig as well as the lechon. The sisig was unfortunately a little dry, but overall still very good. More of a 3.9, but it doesn't change the fact that I like Chibog's :) The lechon was unfortunately even drier so we were kinda hovering on a 2.9. The garlic rice it came with (it's an option for all the entrees) was good though so getting the combo add-on is a good choice for those who prefer more variety than straight meat. (Next time, I wanna try the calamansi drink which is one of my favorite citrus drinks it's an elite lemon lime from Philippines.) I'll definitely come back after a heavy gym session or if the lines at Katsuland are too long :) Salamat Chibog's!

Was originally going to hit up King Katsu as a friend was interested in trying the spot; but there was a bit of a wait so we ended up deciding on going to Chibog instead. It was my first time here and but my friends have said the food was really good and it didn't disappoint! Came in on a Saturday around noon and we were able to grab a table without waiting. The restaurant has a chill and homey vibe to it; a very typical Asian style restaurant. Service was pretty good and staff was super helpful and attentive in answering any questions that we had. Staff came by often to refill waters as well. We decided to share 3 dishes: 1) BBQ Chicken(A La Carte)(8/10) - A very good BBQ chicken dish! Cooked to perfection; super juicy and tender - savory and lightly sweet along with bits of char for that smokey flavor! Portions are generous with about 6+ pieces of chicken thighs! 2) Sizzling Sisig(Combo with Egg)(7.5/10) - Not my favorite sisig, but a very good one! The combo comes with pork and chicken, which works pretty together; usually I opt for pork since it is more crispier and has more umami from the pork's fattiness. This sisig's flavor was well balanced with it leaning more towards tangy/sour taste profile. I just wished that the meat was crispier. The egg was cooked perfectly(over easy) and adds a bit of creaminess to the sisig when mixed together with the runny egg yolk. 3) Lechon Kawali(Silog - with Garlic Rice and Eggs)(6.8/10) - I thought this dish was just okay...the pork was a bit tough and dry; wasn't very crispy either. Maybe it was a bad batch or the pork that we got was a bit too lean. The garlic rice that came with the silog plate was very good; garlicky without being overpowering. Chibog is an very unassuming spot with Filipino comfort food that just hits the spot! The portions are super generous and the prices are reasonable! If you're ever craving Filipino food, this is a solid option to go to!
The Shanghai lumpia were nice and crispy. The pork adobo was kind of middle of the road and wasn't very memorable

Place is clean, and comfort. Service is quick and decent. Portions are large. Love this place!! For those who are unable to make the long lines. Chibog is also delicious! My favorite is the barbecue chicken a la carte - so good and plentiful portion! Simple goodness that should be part of any order. Came here for a weekday lunch and had a delicious meal. Tried and tested. Never fails to impress the first timers we bring here. This was another fun dining experience for us with our friends. We got a table of eight one hour before closing time. Our server told us last order was at 6:45 since the cook had to leave early for another gig. They used to close later at night years ago. We had our usual chick-boy combo sisig, grilled liempo, tapa and garlic rice. Our friends embellished our spread with ginataang sitaw at calabasa (beans & squash in coconut milk), bam-i pancit, chicharon bulaklak (ruffle fat) and lechon kawali. Vinegar based sawsawan and Mang Tomas made this feast even better. We all had water because we were binge eating that weekend. Another large party satisfied at Chibogs. Can't wait for our next get-together here. read more

Kuya Fredo and Ate Gigi were very friendly and provided fast and attentive service. Food is delicious (just like Mom's home cooking). The restaurant is clean and packed with hungry locals. Can't wait to go back and try more items on the menu! read more
If you're craving for some home cooked Filipino food with generous portions, look no further because this place delivers! My brothers and I came here on a Sunday morning before the rush for our Super Sunday Feast. We ordered a little bit of everything for the three of us to share, and everything was amazing and freshly made. My personal favorite is a toss-up between the Kare-Kare classic and the Lechon. Honestly, everything we had was a hit. All the dishes paired well with the big bowl of garlic rice that came with our meal. The prices are very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes you get. The staff was very welcoming to us and throughout the meal, and you can see how hype they are to serve their delicious food. Just be prepared that you may eat so much that you'll fall into a food coma like we did. There is plenty of seating inside (about 30-36 seats), but the place gets filled quickly because of its popularity. They also have a decent sized parking lot that is shared with another popular restaurant. read more
Heard about Chibog while reading a blog post from The Infatuation of their favorite restaurants in Daly City and was excited to finally get to try it during my first visit to the area yesterday considering how big Filipino cuisine is there. At around 1-2PM there was a few people waiting out the door with the restaurant at full capacity (they had a sign that said 49 max capacity but there probably was only 15ish patrons who took up all the seating so its not really a large space. We waited around 15 minutes to get seated. The menu items can look pretty pricy, but are completely justified when you actually see them come out. The portions here aren't explicitly "family style" but definitely feel that way - seeing a few of the dishes come out made us decide to only order the one entree we had been looking forward to: the sizzling sisig + a large serving of garlic rice. For two people, even just ordering those two were more than enough - we could only finish 2/3 of the sisig and less than half of the bowl of rice. Really good bang for your buck here. The sisig was really good and met the hype. One of the best things about it was the inclusion of a hefty portion of chopped peppers which gave it a nice kick. The pork was also very meaty compared to other restaurants' sisig, which tend to be more on the cartilage-y side which can be good if you like that style of sisig. However, the one downside was that it wasn't crunchy at all - some spots will have either chicharon or some other pork crackling which provides that incredible contrast of flavor and I felt it was sorely needed here. There was a bit of crispiness and char but left a bit more to be desired. Overall a really solid choice for Filipino cuisine in Daly City and glad to have tried it! read more
Came in with no wait on a Saturday afternoon and we loved the food here! Chibog is tucked away in a small Daly City plaza and is homey, mom and pop style Filipino food with attentive service. Our waiters were helpful, friendly, and quick with our drinks. We ordered the bbq chicken and pancit bihon. Ordering the chicken a la carte was great-- plenty of meat and came with a side of vinegar sauce. For $2 less you can also get it silog style with garlic rice and two eggs, but we opted for a la carte since we already ordered another carb. Pancit bihon was excellent and came with a slice of lemon for some extra acidity. Would love to come back for halo halo and some kare kare! I noticed for the halo halo you can order ube or mango ice cream and was a huge portion and lots of people were ordering the kare kare. read more

Family friendly restaurant! Filipino food here is so authentic. My son loved the Sinigang with pork and rice with his lumpia Shanghai. The waiter was accommodating and attentive. My glass of water was never empty for too long. I personally enjoyed the Inihaw Liempo (pork belly) with garlic rice and spicy vinegar. The halo halo was good with the Ube ice cream, don't forget to grab a bowl so you can mix it with the jelly and shaved ice. Will come back again for the Lechon Kawali! read more
If I could give zero stars, I would. Don't believe the sign, they say service animals are welcome, but I was just refused service because of my service animal. I even explained the situation respectfully to the manager, trying to do the right thing, and was still denied. I came all the way from Las Vegas, genuinely excited to try this place. To be treated like this after making that trip was beyond disappointing, it was humiliating. If you're going to post that service dogs are allowed, follow through. Otherwise, you're not only misleading people, but violating basic rights. Thank you for absolutely nothing. read more
After a long hiatus, we returned to Chibog on Sunday, December 7, 2025, for a birthday brunch for Uncle Danny. He wanted tapsilog, so I recommended that we go here. Reservations are still not accepted at Chibog, so when we arrived at around 1:30 PM, our party of seven had to wait about half an hour to be seated. The venue, a single dining room with wooden tables and chairs, remains unchanged, but they have shortened their business hours, closing at 6:00 PM (5:30 PM for carryout) on most nights and at 7:00 PM (6:30 PM for carryout) on Fridays and Saturdays. Sadly, service has not improved and is still pretty under par. Initially, only 2 plates for appetizers were served to our table. When the Lumpiang Shanghai (20 pcs, $17.50) and Fried Lumpia (4 pcs, $11.25) were served, we asked for the rest of the plates, but only 3 were given. We had to ask for the missing 2 and they said, "We ran out of the small plates. I guess we will just give you big plates." Yeah, of course, I mean, did they expect the remaining of us to eat without plates?? The response made it evident that they didn't forget the last couple of plates, they just simply gave up and figured that they would just let us deal. Not cool. Additionally, one of the Ube Milk Shakes ($8.25 each) and the Tortang Talong ($17.95) were served considerably later than everything else...and they completely forgot to serve Sisa's coconut juice. One of the waitresses never smiled nor offered any apologies for the forgotten coconut juice. Many times, I went to the counter to ask for things like salt & pepper, to go containers, etc. My self-service was faster and sans neglect. Luckily, most of the food is still good. In fact, I can retract my advice in my original review to avoid the Tapa and Bistek as the beef were lean this time. The boys found the Tocino, both pork and chicken, to be tasty, but fatty. Unfortunately, though, the Silogs now come with only one egg and they charge an extra fee if you want to order a second. The slice of tomato that usually accompanies silogs is also not free. Additionally, Uncle Danny found the combo Sizzling Sisig ($22.50) to be so salty that he told Sisa that she should return the plate to be remade, but she was fine with it. The Tortang Talong and Lechon Kawali were ok and the Avocado Milk Shake ($8.25) could have been a little stronger in avocado flavour. Z, V and Mom enjoyed the Ube Milk Shakes and the Halo-halo was yummy. Although I was happy with my food, the consensus was that brunch was a bit disappointing. The boys actually said that they would prefer not to return, which was surprising to me. I guess that I will need to stick to carryout here. read more
Honestly I had high hopes for this place. Local spot for lutong bahay but nothing super special. Chop suey was bland and the sinigang was not sour. Bangus plate was just okay. When we're in the SF area, we try to pitstop here. But, we've also made the trek to just eat or pick up party trays. We've introduced this place to many friends and they too, make the trek when possible. Our experience here has always been great. The food is piping hot when it arrives to our table and it's just darn tasty! Staff is friendly and attentive. We did have a delay with one of our dishes, chicken tocino. They apologized it took so long so they removed it from our bill. That was nice of them to do. The portions are generous so we have leftovers for dinner. I heard they were going to close because Mercedes is expanding. I asked our waiter if this was true. Good news! They are here to stay! They'll be renewing their contract for another 5 years. WHEW! Parking was a little tough since the church group in one of the suites was having an event. read more
My go to for bangus sisig. Very overpriced in my opinion so I only get it once in a while. $30 for bangus sisig. A little salty today but still good. Got a side of garlic rice for $10. Service is great. Super friendly & made sure our waters were always filled. Family dynamic. read more
Wooww their tapa is sooo good!! It had so much flavor and paired perfectly with the garlic rice and egg. I also really appreciated how fast and attentive the server was. They made sure we had all the sauces, water and everything we needed and they were super polite too. The inside was pretty spacious and clean. And there were plenty of parking spaces around the restaurant. read more
Filipino cuisine [Daly City CA] We decided to dine here while we were in the area. It wasn't too busy on a Saturday evening at peak meal time and we were seated right away. The restaurant is small and cozy. Hubby was hankering for some soup dish which is perfect comfort food especially on a rainy day. We ordered the Beef Bulalo (menu description: tender beef bone-in shanks with assorted veggies). We ordered garlic rice with it. The soup came in a huge bowl and looked appetizing. The sad part... the meat was not nearly "tender" and the bone had hardly any bone marrow in it. The veggies was baby bokchoy which was not a generous amount in the soup. The soup was tasty though and good with the rice. We ordered halo-halo with my choice of Mango ice-cream on top (not Ube) and that was delicious! Authentic Filipino food with generous portions. We ordered the sizzling sisig (combo) and kawali lechon with garlic rice. The lechon kawali had the right balance of crispy skin, tender meat, and just enough fat to keep it flavorful. When it comes to Filipino food, chibog is my go-to spot. When I have friends who've never had Filipino food, this is where I go. It's solid, tasty, and big portions. Chibog has my favorite pork sisig, it's a good mix of crispy and soft pieces. The crispy short ribs, unmatched, especially with the soy sauce/vinegar sauce, chefs kiss. On my latest visit I stopped in for a quick lunch. I got the lechon kawali silog. It came with a generous serving of deep fried pork belly, hefty mound of garlic rice, and two over easy eggs. For $22 after tax and tip, it's well worth every penny. The staff here is so nice, and treats you like family. It's a smaller restaurant so there can be a wait, but during lunch time it's usually easy to snag a table. Came to Chibog for some Filipino food and was not disappointed. Restaurant is in a secluded strip mall with decent parking. We were quickly greeted and seated in the sparsely decorated dining room. Low key but that is fine with us. We ordered their Sizzling Sisig Combo chicken and pork, the Pork Binagoongan and a bowl of the garlic rice. First thing is the portion size is fantastic. For me you need to feel like you get your moneys worth. Food was fresh and had great flavors and seasoning. The Sisig had so much meat with onions and the fried egg on top. So good! My favorite was the Binagoongan with "chunks" of fried but soft and moist pork belly, eggplant and bell peppers. Loved this! The garlic rice "bowl" was huge!! Not crazy over the top garlic (like garlic fries) but just a hint of garlic flavor that keeps you interested. Will go back again next time read more
A very established Filipino spot that always satisfies when I'm hankering for a teslogs, or noodles, maybe a pork dish, definitely a bbq stick or two, etc, etc, etc. Service is prompt and friendly and helpful. I overheard our waiter help the table behind me with what dishes on the menu were good introductions to the cuisine. I was pretty disappointed with my last visit to this place. To sum it up, it's service without a smile, and that's to put it kindly. As for the food, it really is just middle of the pack. I've had quite better tasting Filipino food around the South Bay and Easy Bay. I visited Chibog because of its feature on KQED. I was really hoping that Chibog was one of those hole in the wall hidden gems I would enjoy exploring, but I'm quite disappointed. We had the Lechon Kewali, Dinuguan, BBQ Chicken (ala carte), and the Halo Halo w/ Ube Ice Cream. Lechon Kewali was okay, but the rest felt like they missed the mark. The Lechon Kewali was comparable to other places I've visited. The Dinuguan just wasn't "rich", nor was it "chunky" with the good meaty, fatty, rich parts. It felt lacking and with too much vinegar. The BBQ Chicken was completely disappointing because of the amount of burnt-ness on the chicken, making large portions of it uneatable. This was very disappointing. The Halo Halo felt fine. It wasn't special. Small location with a small private lot for parking shared with other establishments. Chibog gets good traffic, so it gets busy--good for them. But there are other places that serve better tasting Filipino food at more affordable prices, but you may have to come to the South Bay (Pinot BBQ ATBP) or East Bay (Toppings Too) for them. I know we didn't try the Sisig, but nothing about Chibog would make us want to return even if we were in the area again. read more

The food is a little different, the karekare should be a little creamier ., maybe more peanuts in the sauce. The bagoong was extra .,The Crispy Beef Tadyang was delicious crispy outside and tender inside. The Garlic Rice was tasty. The portions are generous. The place is older now so its a little dated. Is the restaurant wheelchair friendly?
Yes indeed it is. There's plentiful room for a disabled person to maneuver and have space to eat; However, I haven't visited the bathroom yet to complete your question.
Do they have arroz caldo?
I didn't it see on the menu when we went there a few months ago. If you are really thinking about eating there it's best to call ahead of time and ask if they serve arroz caldo.
Are the prices posted on the party trays for half or full? Are these prices up to date? Thank you!
