Really nice transformation from the hole in the wall mexican place that was there before. The lunch specials are very straightforward - 2 meats $12, 2 veg $10, one of each $11. There's a chicken of the day, daal of the day, and veg of the day in addition to their standard offerings. The manager was enthusiastic about us newcomers and apologetic that the tandoor was not working (but will be in the next day!). We liked the substitute flatbread anyway. On to Bollywood...Ok so I walk in as I wanted something different besides Garlic Crush next door and I heard about this place from a friend. The layout of Bollywood is interesting. It is sort of cafeteria style. The way they store the food that has already been cooked appears to me that it is all pre-prepared that day like.most Indian restaurants. They serve food to you on plastic trays, you eat with a plastic fork, and the food comes in a plastic or foam type cup on a paper plate. Everything is cooked already in metal bins and they give you food. The Naan is some of the best Naan I have had in this area hands down. It was outstanding. The Paneer was good. The flavors to me we're all kind of similar on the veggie dishes with some subtle differences. I got sort of lost in the food at times. But it was good and much better than some of the other Indian food places down the street. I did the special which was veggie. The 2 paneer, and it came with rice, and naan for $10. My criticism would be as mostly everything is prepped, so not sure why it took almost 15 minutes for them to call my number when there was one order in front of mine. There were 5 people in the kitchen. Seemed a lot for 2 orders and 15 mins. The kitchen seemed to be kind of chaos. Not a fan of the paper plate, cup, plastic fork thing with sauces. The paper plate soaks up most of the sauce. Just my deal. The tables were not super clean and the table next to me had food from prior occupants. After about 15 mins someone came and got it. It's just me I don't like to eat and look at used food plates That Naan is a rockstar!! This place has potential I see why they serve the food as they do but I just prefer buffet so I can try everything and pick and choose what I want. The kitchen needs to be more organized for faster expedition. This is me updating my review from 5 star to 2 star solely due to the staff and professionalism. They have no courtesy for customer's time and feel that they can ignore the customer's call. If the excuse is 'rush hour' then please increase your staff to cater to the 'rush' I called in to place an order for pick around 1pm on a Wednesday ( which I assume is towardd end of rush hour). While I was out of the country this place seemed to pop up overnight taking over the old Casa D space. I stopped by on the way home from the airport at 10:00pm. This place is open till midnight which is great as Bellevue is lacking in late night food options. The space is casual compared to other Indian options in the Bellevue area. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you. I ordered a Chicken Tikka Masala and Naan to go. The curry was heated up and the naan was made to order in about 5 mins. A small cup of rice is included with the curry. Most curries are priced $6 for small and $11 for large. $2 extra for butter naan. The large curry with naan was very filling with big chunks of chicken. I liked the flavor, but despite asking for very spicy, it wasn't very spicy. Pricing is on par with other Indian restaurants, but I feel it's a tad pricey given ambiance and the fact that you can get a full lunch buffet at multiple nearby restaurants for less. Looking at the menu there is a good variety of both meat and vegetarian options. They also have lunch specials with curry and naan for $11. This is a very welcome addition to the neighborhood and I will definitely be back to try more. read more

Updated to 4 stars in August 2017: Their tandoori chicken and chicken biriyani are delicious... but a lot of times they run out of chicken biriyani in the evenings. ===================================== Really closer to a 4 or 3.5 but I wasn't that impressed. I liked the food here. I wouldn't say it was outstanding but I liked the flavors in the palak paneer and chicken tikka masala. The curries weren't loaded with cream so that was good. However it was on the oily side. The aloo Papdi chat was average and I wish I could have gotten extra chutneys on the side. I want to go back and try the Malai tikka kabob. They also had a good selection of lassis. Pricing was great; the lunch combos seemed like a good value deal as well as the curries individually cost less than $7 which was great. Bollywood is not worth writing home about, but it's pretty okay. Fast service kind of feel to it. While the food was pretty good, I noticed that I wasn't offered the choice to choose my spice level. One of the best Indian food on the east side. Their curries are authentic and very flavorful. I once cane in on Saturday hoping to try their Saturday only Chicken Chaap but was told that it needs to be pre-ordered. On seeing my disappointment, the owner asked me how badly I wanted it and I expressed my disappointment to which he said that he has 1 which would be mine. Small gesture but made my day. Chicken Chaap is a Kolkata delicacy and isn't available even in India, to find it here was a surprise. It was excellent to say the least. I liked the spicy flavor of the chole. The bhatura was also huge and not oily. The chicken tikka masala was buttery and the meat was rightly cooked. Amazing hidden little gem ! Fast and so good ! They have a special veggie curry of the day called Mitty Malai Mutter - you cannot find this dish in anywhere else! It's a creamy veggie curry dish with green peas not the typical version you see to the restaurants trust me it's life-changing. This review does not deserve even 1 star but I need to rate it to be at least able to post this. We had an extremely disappointing experience tonight. Not only did our order of chicken biryani was served after reheating in a microwave , the chef/cook (if I can still call them so after the incident) was negligent enough to heat it along with the boiled egg (which is served along with the biryani) in the microwave as well ! My friend was just about to get started with a spoonful when the egg burst open causing a minor steam burn on the fingers and food spluttering all over. It baffles me how a restaurant management is operating a busy joint without a care for such basic precautions in place and overlook such an obvious kitchen blunder. The store front manager did apologize and even offered compensation but we refused and put forth our strongest feedback, here's hoping that this post draws attention to the management and they implement basic safety measures. My favorite indian restaurant in DT bellevue area. 3 stars because it is a hit or a miss. My goto place for paneer tikka appetizer. Its usually well flavored and comes with some tandoori vegetables and salad. But some days it is not as good as the others (wish they were more consistent!) The menu is small and has limited options. It maybe good for few but I dont like the vegetarian options they have. I wish they had some less creamy and oily vegetable options. All the vegetarian dishes are paneer/lentils. The only vegetable option they have is very greasy for my liking. On a side note, the vada pav is good and probably the best in seattle area. I understand the concept of indian fast food but in my opinion you can add some health"ier" options to the menu and still be as efficient as you like. I have tried their vegetarian specials which are also very heavy. I would not stop ordering the paneer tikka but probably would not go back for other things. read more

The food here is served cafeteria style and you pay before you get your meal. Drinks are either canned or are pre-made and located in a refrigerated area near the register. The food, for it being "fast food" was delicious! I think the roti is actually cooked to order...it was tasty! We tried the samosas, tikka masala, tandori chicken and garlic roti...all were BOMB! Service was decent and the wait for food of course did not take long at all. Seating is first come first served and on a Saturday night wasn't much of a problem. Not the cleanest, but also not the dirtiest...LOL What re-affirmed that this place was authentic was the amount of Indian people that were actually eating here! I suggest trying it with the chicken chettinad ( it's different than I have usually tried. I ordered last night via UberEats, this is the best priced Chicken Tikka Masala on the east side! 8oz is only $6!! I got 16 oz for my husband and I, there was still a little left over for tomorrow! I'm surprised to find another late night place in Bellevue. We ordered one shrimp special (can't tell you what it was called), 8 oz chicken tikka masala, and garlic naan. There was a little bit of a wait for the food -- longer than you'd expect in a cafeteria style restaurant. Whether you eat in or order to go, the food is served in styrofoam containers. Come on guys. Both dishes were good but too salty. The shrimp was cooked to perfection -- they were large, succulent, and juicy. The chicken was more on the dry side but it wasn't bad at all. Pretty decent place for lunch. I ordered a veg combo with the veggie or a day and it turned out to be really good. At lunch you know get combos and can't order other stuff. I've visited it once at night and they had good chat. The only bad thing about my last visit was the the to-go order gets deprioritized over eat here. I don't know what's the reason for that since it's the same good packed in the box. So if you going there for lunch, make sure to opt eat here option if you want to save time.
