I was able to catch their first weekend open here in their new spot of Vallejo. Located just inside of SFC, sharing space with Grill City. Got to meet the owner (forgot his name) who was very sweet. I let him know I was showing my sister this place coz we have one already in Artesia. The owner says to me *oh, that's where I trained artesia location is nice*. So I let my sister order whatever she wanted. We shared the ube crinkle and it was sooo soft and chewy. Pop tarts is a new addition and those were actually pretty good. Told my sister that now there's one here, she can go anytime. Everything is good. No need for me to bring up items from SoCal to NorCal. Lol read more

Cafe 86 is located in the Seafood City shopping center behind the Grill City Stand. We happened to discover their food area while running errands at Seafood City. We have been to Cafe 86 in SoCal and Vegas and my family were pleased to hear there was finally one in Vallejo without having to go out of the area. I know there is another in the Bay Area but this makes it easier for my folks to get their Cafe 86 sweet treats. We ordered their Halo Halo bread pudding which comes with ube ice cream. Although sweet but very good. My mom can be a little picky but enjoyed this thoroughly. You can have it warmed up and topped with the ube ice cream or have it on the side so it won't melt as fast. This cafe 86 is in the inside of the Seafood City in Vallejo. The other side of the Grill City. I only tried the Kouki Monster and it's good. Lots of oreo cookies. Definitely I will come back for Upside down halo-halo. The staff are friendly. The ambiance is like an hipster/modern. read more

Love the ube! Interesting new cafe located inside Seafood City Vallejo. Strange taste like medicine on the halohalo and a lot of ice were whole not crushed, feels like it's a little bit overpriced compared to the place we usually go but 10mins away. I would go here again to try the others. read more

Cafe 86 is dangerous... in the best way possible. I came for one ube treat and ended up in a full-blown dessert relationship. The ube truffles? Gone in 60 seconds. The halo-halo? Wow! Came here with family so we were able to try many of the drinks and we were all pleasantly surprised. The cafe is inside Seafood City which made it very easy and convenient to grab a drink while getting groceries. Here's what we ordered!: Upside Down Halo Halo - better than the original with plenty of toppings and a smooth ube base instead of the normal shaved ice. Must have and easily their most popular. Ube Monster - strong ube milkshake. Purple yam goodness. Dragonberry Calamansi - ordered this with reduced sweetness and it was the perfect refresher that was balanced and not too sweet. If you're an ube lover like me, you will love this place. You can find this place inside Seafood City in Vallejo. Ube forward menu range from super yummy ube pastries to drinks, shakes etch. Every time I've been here, the owner is very friendly and I never have to wait long for my order. I'm so happy this location is here :) So far I've had the Hibiscus Calamansi, Jasmine Calamansi, Strawberry Calamansi, and enjoyed all of them! The ube crinkle cookies are delicious and the ube truffle is very rich. There are many ube flavored snacks/treats that I haven't seen anywhere else, which is amazing! I have always been a fan of Cafe 86. When Bay Area folks headed back from L.A. with Portos, we were the outliers who drive all the way out to Pasadena to pick up the Ube Leche Flan cupcakes, Ube Crinkles and everything else Ube we could fit into our car. How excited I was to hear that a location would be opening up in my hometown of Vallejo! Although it is just a counter inside Seafood City, the favorites are still here. Ordered through DoorDash a mini halo- halo and delivered with NO top cover at all. The flan and ice cream were all exposed to all the air and environment. Imagine eating that after being handled by a stranger and sitting in their car. Were they coughing on the way? Were they touching anything and got into your food? When I contacted the driver, they said it came like that. HUGE safety issue. Beware buyers. THROW AWAY. This cafe should have made sure safety and cleanliness FIRST. read more

Cafe 86 is my go-to place when I'm craving ube. I've visited other locations, and I was so excited when they opened in Vallejo. I prefer getting the halo-halo at Cafe 86 versus other locations because they add all the ingredients I like, minus the beans. For drinks, I have tried the Ube Monster Shake, Nutella Shake, Hibiscus Tea, Thai Tea, ube latte, and Ube Milk Tea. I loved them all. They weren't too sweet and were well made. All the pastries are good, but my favorites are the Ube Butter Bar, ube cheesecake and Ube Bread Pudding. The service was quick at this location. I've visited twice and waited no longer than 10 minutes each time. I typically go in the evening. The staff are friendly and attentive as well. read more

I would've uploaded a picture but as soon as I tried my halo halo, it was basically gone within minutes. I enjoyed the regular halo halo during one of the heat wave days and it was delicious. It's definitely different than what I'm used to but different in a good way! I liked how they didn't over do it in the toppings. It was just right. This is not just about taste or quality; someone could genuinely get sick from consuming something like this. What's disappointing is that I genuinely like this place and come here often, which makes this experience even more frustrating. The general area is a little sketchy as there are a bunch of homeless people walking around in the nearby streets and sometimes in the parking lot. Seafood City does hire security that hang out outside, so there is less homeless walking around near the stores and restaurants now.

Their service is always quick despite the long line of people there. Their complimentary pickled onions, grilled onions, and carrots along with their homemade sauces really take the burritos and tacos to another level. They have added more seating so you can eat there fresh and hot. Parking is still tight with only a few spots nearby, but it is worth it for the food.
