Came in the galleria, and needed something refreshing. The two staff remembers behind the counter were nice and gave good recommendations. My wife ordered some kind of green tea drink she really enjoyed it, had a syrup and some kind of sea salt foam. I ordered the mahalo mango, it had a really nice taste to it not sweet, not too tart really refreshing. We'd definitely come back again to try other stuff. They have bakery items and a few places to sit around the entrance.

Pumpkin Spice ube latte! Me love!

Cafe 86, where have you been all my life? I cannot express my newfound love for this place enough! I am a self-proclaimed latte snob, and let me tell you, every other coffee shop (yes, even Starbucks) doesn't even come close to the quality I found here. The Seasonal Sensation: I ordered their seasonal Pumpkin Spice Ube Latte, and my taste buds were absolutely popping! I have never tasted anything like it. The balance was perfect--it wasn't overly sweet, but it wasn't sour either. It was a perfectly crafted drink that I could easily become addicted to. A Note of Sadness: This incredible drink was only seasonal, and the last day to get it was November 30th. I'm already counting down the days until next fall! Beyond the Latte While Cafe 86 is famous for its ube treats and drinks (and though I'm usually not a fan, both the latte and the ube cookies I tried were absolutely phenomenal), their menu is extensive. They offer a great variety, including: Halo-Halo Milk Shakes and Milk Teas Coolers, Slush, and Affogato A full Espresso Bar and other unique lattes Baked goods and sandwiches Location & Service You can find this gem conveniently located inside the Glendale Galleria, right next to Dick's Sporting Goods. They also have several other locations throughout California and Arizona. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. If you're unsure what to order from their diverse menu, don't hesitate to ask them--they are happy to offer excellent recommendations! I will definitely be back. Cafe 86 is a must-try for anyone looking for a unique and high-quality treat!

This coffee shop is located in Glendale Galleria close to Bloomingdale's. They have a variety of coffee/ tea drinks and limited pastries items. They have a limited seating area. There are only several tables. They were all occupied so I took my order to go. I ordered an iced coffee and regular coffee. Coffee was good no complaints. Service was friendly. Lady who took my order was friendly. She explained the menu items and made suggestions on what to order. Parking is free since it is located in the mall.

Located in the mall, it's a small shop but still quite busy. On a weekend late afternoon, the foot traffic comes and goes so the tables can be all filled one moment and completely empty the next. Got their Strawberry Calamansi Cooler. - Strawberry Calamansi: So light and refreshing on a sunny day! It's very reminiscent of a strawberry lemonade but less tart and not overly sweet like a lot of lemonades. I found the calamansi to be a little too light for me, but that's just preference. Overall, it's a good place to consider when you're browsing in the mall. The prices were relatively average, drinks seemed solid, and service was nice. The Halo Halo looked so good when I was passing by the parties who had it, so I would like to try that whenever I'm back in the area.

I absolutely love cafe 86! And I didn't know it was here in the Galleria of Glendale. While I was waiting for my date last Sunday I had the amazing ube flan and a latte. Delightful as usual! We also had a cooler each after wandering around the mall. I had the calamansi and boss lady had the drangonberry calamansi, both super refreshing and not too sweet, just what we needed. The girlies working here are as sweet as everything they have! Next to Dick's Sporting Goods. I LOVE that they have plenty of seating, so that's a plus. I'll be back!

I wish I could have bought everything on the menu, but alas I only got the upside down halo halo which was INCREDIBLE! The flan, ice creams, jelly and boba were sooo yummy! It's a very small spot, and it's in a corner so easy to miss, but service was friendly and efficient. My friend got rhe caramel latte which she said was one of the best she's had. Can't wait to come back and try more drinks and pastries!

I love Cafe 86 & it's been my first time at this location. They have tables the store I had the turon pop tart, mais con yelo bar and ube bar. I also love their goodies here as they never disappoint and I love the flavors too. My personal favorite here is anything ube.

Sadly, our grilled cheese sandwich had a hair in it. We discovered it at home so couldn't bring it to their attention while at the store. Hope those prepping food can wear a cap or hairnet. I did really enjoy their hibiscus calamansi drink though!

ScrrreeeeeeAm I can't believe I finally made it up here to savor this amazing Ube Truffle. Tasted this jewel of a dessert one month ago and couldn't get it out of my mind. This is a medium sweet grainy ube (sweet potato flavored) delight which just melts in your mouth like powdered sugar. Gosh I really don't know how to describe it to you guys out there. But please try it!

I was excited to hear that a Cafe 86 opened up in Glendale. I was so sad when the Pasadena one closed. I LOVE their Ube Leche Flan cupcakes. The location is small compared to the other ones but it's because it is in the mall. I was disappointed because they were sold out of the ube leche flan cupcakes today. But ended up getting a ube pop tart, ube cheesecake and butter bar. The poptart was perfect amount of ube flavor and wasn't super sweet. My daughter loved it and finished it. She loved it. The ube latte was a little too milky. The ube flavor was barely there. It tasted like milk with a splash a ube. Think the other drinks would be better to try. If you are shopping and in Glendale Galleria already this place is definitely worth a try and perfect for dessert.

I wish I could like this place as much as others do, but with overpriced drinks higher than Starbucks and an iced Americano that was so bland it tasted like water, it's hard to justify coming back to try other items. While I did appreciate the diverse menu with plenty of options to explore in the future and found the staff to be friendly, the coffee itself just didn't deliver. I left feeling like I didn't get my caffeine fix, and given the high prices in this economy, this spot is a pass for me.

This is my first time being in Glendale location. I've tried the Northridge location and their desserts before like the Halo halo. Definitely not my thing. It had cereal and I felt like I was just eating Frosted Flakes lol. Other people seem to like the Halo Halo but I prefer more traditional Halo Halo. So maybe its just me. The Ube truffle though is pretty tasty. You taste the ube and that first bite is so good! It is rich so I can only handle one. This time though, I tried the Sandwiches. They're so good! The Pastrami sandwich was pressed and the crust was nice and crispy. Saviory but a bit more on the sweet side. The Turkey Pesto sandwich is where its at though. Pressed as well and saviory how I like it. And the pesto really shines. Definitely recommend. It was also my first time trying the pop tarts. The Pop tart ube is fire! The Pop tart turon is really good too but I do prefer ube. I think the texture and consistency goes well together. Flakey and warm (if requested). I also tried the Ube Latte. It does not have caffeine but you can add espresso for extra. I opted for no caffiene even though I prefer coffee. Maybe if the prices were lower I would have. Cafe 86 is a bit pricey so just know that when visiting. The staff was very nice. There are a few tables but they do well with the space they have. And its nicely set up and decorated. nice spot to have a snack or sandwich!

Ube Crinkle (Top) & Ube Butter Bar (Bottom)
    Jeanne P.

New cafe located at the eastern side of the mall. I've been to their Pasadena (when it was still around) and Little Tokyo location. The seating in this location was very limited. Prices are also very high for a very small pastry. I also feel that the ube isn't dense enough. Service was standard. For the price, I expect better presentation of the product. For example, I wouldn't expect pastries to be stacked on top of each other. I think that would ruin the quality over time (if you don't plan to eat it immediately). If ube is a novelty and prices are not a problem, I would recommend the place as a good starting point.

We chose outdoor since it was such a nice day out. They have all of their desserts on display in the case, so you can peruse the options and see what looks good. So many of the desserts looked good, like the matcha yuzu chiffon crepe cake or the rose and lychee crepe cake. We ordered via the kiosk and got the mango sunshine souffle pancake ($16.50) and well as a couple drinks. My drink was the white peach lemon jasmine bliss ($6.25), with 50% sweetness and less ice. Even though there are signs everywhere saying that it takes 15-20 minutes for the souffle pancakes to be cooked, ours came out super quickly, in 5 minutes or so. We got it with the sauce on the side, but I regret doing that as I saw others getting it with the sauce on top and it was beautiful. The pancake was super fluffy and a bit eggy as well. We all really enjoyed it with the mango sauce. I made the mistake of eating the pancake first before trying a sip of my tea. The pancake was pretty sweet, so I could barely taste my drink, but I think it was good? I could taste a bit of the lemon but definitely not the white peach, which is a lighter flavor. I got a slice of their Hokkaido cheese cake roll for $7 to go and had it the next day. It was okay but definitely a bit pricy for what you get. I'd love to come back to try their other desserts and pancakes!

The cafe, one of…read morethree in the area, is mostly kitchen & counter with a small bar counter with six stools facing the window & a handful of tables inside. It is not really cute or aesthetic in any way... and the whole place could use a refresh. There is a covered patio with a few tables outside but at the moment it is a bit haphazard and not the nicest because the space next door is doing construction & there is a large dumpster on Green Street. We ordered Black tea & Floral Pineapple Blossom tea drinks, Peach Crepe Cake and a Peach Souffle Pancake ($17.50) via the kiosk. When you order, you receive a text that lets you know your order number, has a receipt, and also an expected time of delivery. The drinks were ready about 15 minutes. They were both fine, and prepared correctly. The peach crepe cake was brought out a few minutes later. My mom enjoyed it and it looked very pretty. Then the time that the entire order was supposed to be ready came and went. I checked in with Nick at the counter and he said that my souffle pancake would be ready in 5 minutes. About 7 minutes later, when my mom was done with her cake. Nick brought it over and set it down in next to me. It was jiggly, huge, and very wobbly. I slid it over so it was in front of me, and the top pancake fell off of the stack, and flipped over so the whipped cream side was on the counter. I tried to flip it back over and put it on top of the stack, but it fell apart. At this point, I was so frustrated with the situation and grossed out by the possibility of eating whipped cream and pancake that had been on the counter, that I asked Nick to remedy the situation. He offered to make a new pancake, but since this one had taken 40 minutes to come out, I was not willing to wait that long again. He kindly offered an alternative suggestion which I accepted. I tried the Creme Brulee crepe cake which was mildly flavored and pretty tasty. (Maybe I should have just gotten it in the first place, but I had really wanted to try the souffle pancake which I've since & sadly lost interest in.) With that, we bid Motto adieu, and it is unlikely that I will return. A few additional notes: Parking in the area is metered and $1.25/hr with a max of 2 hours, the single bathroom is functional, but there is some problem with the ceiling (there is a gaping hole covered by plastic) making for an unpleasant and potentially unsanitary situation. This should be remedied immediately! Peace.

Her mother texted asking if we could bring pastries. It was after 6 p.m., so I turned to trusty Yelp to see what might still be open between Montrose and our destination. This bakery came up, so we stopped in to give it a try. One gentleman was minding both the bakery and the liquor store next door. It wasn't that busy at either place, but he did have to run between the two. He let us know that he'd be right with us, so we had time to look around. The baked goods cases were about half full at 7:00 at night. The man helping us didn't really know anything about the fillings of some of the items that weren't self-explanatory. He got our selections packed up nicely, but it would have been helpful to be able to get more info about some of the cakes/pastries. SG (age 5) boldly chose a cream puff for herself. I wasn't sure if she would like it, but once we got to her house she happily scarfed down half of it, saving the other half for the next day. I think our daughter and son-in-law made out the best, as we weren't sure what they would like so we got them some Black & White cake, honey cake, espresso cake, and some of the chocolate-filled cookies.
