    Crunch pistachio gelato dessert

The chocolate crunch pistachio is to die for! Great dessert right by the Americana/glendale galleria, after the movies. Walking distance!

Because Americana didn't have enough ice cream shops, here we have another overpriced one. This is not bad by any means. Store is designed very appealing and they have friendly staff and offer samples. I enjoyed the freshly chocolate covered cone with nuts. I got the half a scoop of salted caramel and half a scoop of chocolate. They were both delicious. But the texture was too watery for my liking. I like the texture to be more dense and solid. Anyway, 2 cones with 1 scoop each was 35 dollars. I don't think I'll come back here honestly

It was ok for me. I think better than the one they hyped up in americana. Nice employees and you can ask to taste the flavor first before you decide on what to get. They place is a busy street but they do have tables and chairs in the front of the store. I will try more flavors next time.

New ice cream place at the Americana, can't wait until I can try them out. May 20, 2026 is the grand opening party 1pm to 11pm 50% off.

I've been stopping in for a few years, mostly with bae, but found myself here after a nice five mile walk with a group of awesome guys, friends old and new. Treated myself to two scoops of the Vegan Toasted Coconut, which might be my all time favorite. Light, fluffy, textured and overall delicious. Also dig the Vegan Double Dark Chocolate Chip and Counter Culture Coffee flavors. They have several topping including rainbow sprinkles, chocolate like chips, waffle pieces and more. Enjoy a plethora of pastries and treats as well including guest goodies via Brady's Bakery. Great service, good hot, cold and bottled bevs including root beer, cola jarritos, and boxes water to name a few. Fan of their Sorbettos/Sorbets (like Raspberry, Mango, Guava) and creative distinct offerings. Artisinal-style small batch deliciousness with tables and chairs both inside and outside overlooking the blvd. Gelatoing since 2006. Including pints to go, delivery and gelato on the go ;) Easy parking on the street though it can be a journey unless you know the area a bit. Walkable from several other places such at The Black Cat, Erewhon, Akbar, Rough Trade Gear, Wasteland and lots of great places in the area if making a day of it. Pazzo Gelato is the way to go!

Otherwise you'll probably end up using paid street parking, if you are lucky The gelato tastes more European-style to me -- creamy, softer flavors, not super sugary like some places. They also have coffee, teas, pastries, and even dog treats, which was kind of cute. I personally like getting coffee with creamy gelato together. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. There's indoor seating plus outdoor tables if you like sitting outside and watching people walk by. Also appreciated that they have vegan options and stay open pretty late compared to similar dessert spots.

The location is beautiful and the interior was well decorated. I liked the look of an old parlor and it fit the aesthetic of the Americana well. There was a slight wait at around 8 pm but it wasn't too long. The staff was patient and helped out the customers with recommendations and samples. I liked how the samples were on little metal spoons that added to the aesthetic. Salt & Straw has a lot of unique flavors and even seasonal specials. Unfortunately, I was not a fan of some of the flavors. The hazelnut cookies and cream was weird because it tasted more like coconut flavor than anything though the staff did warn me about. The salted malted chocolate chip cookie dough was also too fudgey/chocolately for me. It was also a little salty for my friend. I ended up with the classic mint chocolate chip and waffle cone but I wish there was something experimental that I liked. However, the ice cream I got, which was a single scoop, was quite large and reflected the price point of $7 (+$1.65 for the waffle cone). It was quite tasty and I would maybe try another flavor again. I do think the flavors are generally just too experimental for my tastes.
