By virtue of being located within Americana, this place is most likely gonna be pretty busy at any time, especially during the high traffic times at the shopping center. But they feel very organized and they do take your order when they can before you even reached the counter. So it helps speed things along. Vibe here is like your average gelato or ice cream shop. They sell a lot of chocolates in addition to their ice cream though. For the flavors they have the classics as well as some fun options. I got the stracciatella and baciodidama (you get tot combine two flavors with a regular serving). The baciodidama contained some biscuit for some extra texture. The workers are nice which is the only reason I'm giving this place 2 starts. The gelato here is honestly disgusting. There are SO MANY better gelato places. All of the flavors here either taste old or are flavorless. Also, the portion size is miniature in comparison to other gelato places. Oh my gosh! I'm so glad we have this spot now in LA. I first tried this actually in New York City and it was so good. I love the flavors. They have my favorite is the dark chocolate and the raspberry gelato. I definitely recommend getting the cone covered with chocolate and hazelnuts. It is the perfect touch. Located in the back end of the Americana directly between The Cheesecake Factory and the entrance/exit for the parking garage and concierge area as well as next to H&M, which is on the Central Avenue side. This incredible new to Glendale gem is a win with oh so many classic and plant-based "nom-tions," noms meets options. I was really impressed with not only the variety including vegan friendly pralines and chocolates but the organization fo the Venchi-tiers (what I'm branding the workers here). They take orders while you wait in line as well as classically at the register. Scoops can be in a cup or cone of your choice and they have a few options you can choose from in style and/or size. I got a small cup, one scoop of the Raspberry plant-based, but did consider strawberry, mango as well as their azteco, a extra-dark intense chocolate and vegan-friendly party in your mouth. Yes, they do let you sample and even have sample spoons - they do their best to keep the line flowing and do ask for what you want first (size, cones, etc.), flavors after. It's a good process, but it takes a while for the two staff members inside to prepare each order received. However, if you forgot to order something, then you can make the purchase when you're at the counter as well. I've had Venchi gelato and chocolates in Italy a few times. It's so nice to have it here in LA but we are paying very high price for it. Horrible service but the gelato flavors were okay. Venchi takes over the former Sprinkles location at the Americana! We came here on Saturday 7/12 around 7:30pm, waited about 25min in line. There were multiple employees working behind the counter, but the line still moved slowly due to the tiny cramped interior and each party trying different samples. That was fine and all, except the employees totally forgot about us? We were supposed to be next to pay at the cashier but then one of the girl employees suddenly starts asking the people behind us if they're ready to pay through their mobile instead?? Totally skipped over us which was irritating especially because the people behind us were already scooted so far into our space! They were talking into our ears during the entire time we were waiting in line and getting these obnoxious guests served first was already a bad start. Finally it was supposed to be our turn but the cashier Christian just completely ignores us and turns away to talk to 2 employees. He starts trying to coach one of them on something and then another employee looks at us but doesn't acknowledge us at all. After several minutes (three parties finish sampling, ordering and leave) Christian finally decides to take our order but halfway through the transaction turns away and completely forgets about us?? We stand there waiting while people behind us continue to be served until finally the girl acknowledges us and we say he hasn't given us our receipt yet. By this point we were so put off with the entire experience. She didn't bother to ask us if we wanted to sample any flavors and just assumed we knew what we wanted so at that point we just picked something blindly to get out of there. Ugh. My friend ended up throwing hers out and I thought flavors I got (tiramisu and cappuccino) were fine, not too sweet. We both agreed we aren't coming back.
