The chocolate here is fantastic! They lure you in with a sample as soon as you walk through the door, and honestly, it works. They have tons of options, from pre-packaged gifts to creating your own custom box of bonbons. You can also pick out a specific slab of chocolate and have them cut and weigh out as much as you want. Just be warned: this chocolate is not cheap, so keep that in mind when you're grabbing a chunk of the slab--or letting them grab one for you. It can add up quickly!

Yummy Laderach chocolates that you can sample.

Laderach Chocolatier Shop not only looks delicious but also smells delicious. We stopped by on a Thursday afternoon. We were a few stores down from Laderach and we can smell the sweet scent of chocolates from a far. We decided to stop by and check out this fancy and yummy chocolate shop. As soon as we came in Laderach, the sales people were welcoming and greeted us. They also offered some samples and any sample of our choosing. We tried the strawberry chocolate and milk chocolate. They were both delicious. The chocolate was perfect. It was quality chocolate and semi sweet and not too rich. The combination with the dried strawberries were a perfect blend and balance. We left the store and purchased a couple of the pre packed milk chocolate and the strawberry chocolate. We can't wait to comeback to try other types of chocolates on Laderach's menu.

FrischSchoggi - How can this be legal? It's so freaking good!

My fiancé and I came to the Galleria on a mission: buy a gift for our son at GameStop and leave immediately before our wallets took emotional damage. We marched from Target, beelined to the right towards Bloomingdale's, GameStop's just right before Bloomie's - grabbed the game, and bolted--because let's be honest, video games especially the latest of the latest version + the special pack features already cost an arm, a leg, and possibly a kidney. But fate (and sugar) had other plans. On our way back to the main drag, we locked eyes with Läderach. The glass cases were glistening. The chocolates were posing. I casually said, "Let's just taste." Famous. Last. Words. Fast forward $70 later, we walked out proudly cradling a 1-lb slab of FrischSchoggi--a chocolate hazelnut masterpiece so decadent it should come with a warning label. Rich, creamy, crunchy, sinful... basically chocolate that whispers, "You deserve this." The staff? Super friendly and dangerously encouraging. The store? Small, bright, beautifully merchandised--minimalist Swiss luxury vibes. The chocolates? Divinely indulgent. It instantly transported me back to Europe, standing outside Lindt, watching chocolatiers scrape, spread, and turn molten chocolate like it's edible art. Läderach delivers that same magic--except now I'm the one eating it instead of just staring longingly through a window. We thought GameStop was the financial threat... turns out Läderach is the real boss level LOL. But honestly? Worth it. Every. Single. Dollar. Come for the "just a taste." Leave with a lighter wallet and a very happy soul.

I've been gifted Läderach chocolate before, so it was a nice surprise to come across one today at the Glendale Galleria. The store is very pretty, but for a place that serves high-end chocolate, I expected staff to be a bit more knowledgeable. When I asked what was popular, the employee just pointed at a few items and then toward the back, saying, "..and the strawberry." I also had to ask if they offered samples. After she handed me mine, she didn't ask if my husband wanted to try anything. I ended up breaking off part of my piece to share with him and she watched us do that twice. It was a little embarrassing IMO. We still walked out with a purchase. The overall experience felt unwelcoming. Unfortunately, it's unlikely we'll be back. Three stars: the chocolate is yummy and beautifully made, but the overall experience fell short.

Where they break off samples.

What a fancy chocolate spot. Not in a bad way either. Nice and elegant design. Staff was nice but couldn't really answer any food allergy questions. FYI for those who do have food allergies. They were giving out free samples of many different flavors. I tried the strawberry and Dubai choclate flavors. Both really good! The strawberry is freeze dried and the Dubai is probably one of the best. Definitely worth a try. Thank you!

I believe this is one of the best chocolate places I have tried. Milk and dark hazelnut chocolate was amazing, the white chocolate pistachio was delicious. I also tried the mixed fruit white chocolate - out of this world. It is a little expensive but their chocolates are one of the best.

Here on Valentine's Day so I had to get some chocolate. Amazing staff. Gave samples to try. Ended up buying the dark chocolate ones by weight. Hopefully I don't eat it all at once. They have nice ones in really pretty packaging. They told me it's cheaper to get it by the weight. And it was only for me so that's what I did.

So good. Dark chocolate hazelnut heart

My favorite chocolate store. The best variety for vegans and non vegans alike. I can really taste that Swiss difference. My favorite here is the dark chocolate hazelnut. I never tasted fresher hazelnuts in chocolates before. It's so crunchy and nutty, the way it should be. The best kept secret here is that you can sample as many as you want (they never told me no even when I was up to my 5th or 6th sample). Very generous and the service is always on point. Ofc I end up dropping $$$ at this store all the time. I'd be all out of punch cards if they had a punch card program for frequent customers.

Yup all these people know what they are talking about.

Not having visited Switzerland in many years. I was happy to find a Swiss chocolatier in the Glendale Galleria. My wife and I have many fond memories of smooth tasting chocolate inundation with specific tree nuts (in what seems like a past life) that we couldn't walk away from this shop. There was a person offering samples and having tried a small morsel we knew we were in the right place...smooth chocolate and crunchy hazelnut in every bite reminded us of our travels through Switzerland before we had the kids and real responsibilities. The person at the counter explained that we could purchase (from slabs of chocolate ) by weight and we ended up getting 1/8 pound of dark chocolate macadamia and 1/8 of milk chocolate hazelnut. There were other combinations of chocolate and tree nut...we chose our favorites. In terms of prices, it's booth cheap and expensive depending on how you look at it. If you had to fly to Switzerland to have Swiss chocolate then buying any amount at this shop is cheap. However, if you're not into the subtlety of Swiss chocolate vs Belgian (which is common in the US), then any amount is expensive. For my wife and me, every bite brought back memories...of a chocolate texture and taste experience that is uniquely Swiss.

9/26/2026 First time…read morehere! Been wanting to visit for a long time! BLUM'S COFFEE CRUNCH CAKE Very subtle mocha coffee flavor in the cream filling. But when eaten with the honey crunch (honeycomb candy), it is so good! Burnt caramelized sugar. Spongy, soft, moist cake. Big chunks of honeycomb candy was crispy and sweet. It would be a delicious cake to bring to parties and gatherings. However, the honeycomb candy disintegrates into the cake if eaten the next day! So be mindful as you buy a slice or whole cake! This cake can only be eaten the day of! HOUJICHA CARAMEL LATTE Earthy houjicha with subtle caramel flavor and touch of saltiness at the end. You can taste the buttery flavor of the caramel. I got it hot and the foam was well done too. This was delicious! A good marriage of two flavors! MISO SHOYU MOCHI CAKE Mochi cake was chewy as expected. Delicious miso and caramel flavor. The miso caramel flavor is sweet, but the mochi cake is slightly sweetened, but it tasted like it was sweetened with a sugar substitute or maybe they added less sugar. The miso caramel is quite sweet, so it does balance the mochi flavor's non-sweetness level. The black sesame on top brings a nuttiness too. Overall, it was good. I think mochi cake and butter mochi cake fans would love this! COFFEE CAKE The cake was soft, but the cinnamon was weak. It tasted a bit like light cornbread, strange to say. Overall it was good, but really wanted a strong brown sugar and cinnamon flavor. This was my least favorite of everything I've tried. CHOCOLATES & PETIT FOURS Matcha Tea Truffle - Enrobed in white chocolate with matcha ganache center. Good fruity matcha with hint of bitterness. It did have a weird soapy aftertaste though. Jasmine Tea Truffle - You can taste a strong tea flavor in it, yet you can't tell it's jasmine. It tastes like black tea. It starts off delicious and suddenly the aftertaste with the combo of the tea flavors is soapy! Rice & Sesame Caramel - Nutty, black sesame flavor with toasted rice / scorched rice flavor mingles together with buttery caramel! The aftertaste is a strong roasted, nutty, smoky, salty flavor at the end that was beautifully surprising and delicious! The best one out of all the chocolates and petit fours I've tried! Earl Grey Petit Four - Good, strong Earl Grey flavor, that Bergamont flavor coming in at the end was delightful! This was enrobed in white chocolate ganache. The flavor of the white chocolate is off and tastes soapy, which is a shame because the Earl Grey flavor with the spongy cake was beautiful! But I realize after tasting the other tea flavored chocolates that it's the combination of the tea flavors with the white chocolate that leaves that soapy aftertaste! Champagne Petit Four - Light boozy petit four. The sponge inside was moist and the chocolate was a semi-dark chocolate which was good. All the flavors linger together after the petit four is gone. I think this would be great for bridal showers with a glass of champagne! or Afternoon Tea-like gatherings. Espresso Petit Four - Was a bit confused to what this was for a minute after having tried the Earl Grey petit four. For a quick minute, the Espresso has that lingering flavor of the Earl Grey. Espresso one was good and did have ground up espresso beans on top. No bitterness at the end. ONLINE ORDERS AVAILABLE You can order online as well. Shipping available for chocolates and cakes too. Blum's Coffee Crunch Cake is available to order via Goldbelly. CUSTOMER SERVICE Friendly and good customer service. Patiently answered my questions too. AMBIANCE + SEATS The shop was clean and it showcased many chocolates, sweets, pies and cakes on display. There are outdoor seats directly in front of shop. However, the best part of this shop is the back of the shop, where they had wooden tables and chairs. It was such a cute area! Didn't eat there, but took a quick look before heading back. I think they could seat about 20-22 people. PARKING Difficult to find. Some street parking and neighborhood street parking available. Parking is available directly in front of shop too, but it would be very difficult to get that spot. On Elm Ave. + Glenoaks Blvd there was neighborhood construction, so limited parking. Would love to return in the future! So many variety of savory and sweets, baked goods, chocolates and cookies too!

I had an online pick up order here for a strawberry trifle and it was sooo good. I also got the…read morebasque cheesecake to try and I really liked the smoky flavor coming from the burnt top. The service was great; they even offered to help take the cake to my car. As for the shop itself, it's so cute with a little bit of decorations which did not take away from the sweets being presented before you. Definitely would come back!
