When I get bit by the travel bug, I like to pay a visit to CostPlus World Market. For starters,…read morethey carry some of the best tourist flavors from all corners of the world. Their Patak's Butter Chicken is a staple in my pantry and so are the Sticky Finger Scones, as well as their coffees/teas, and some fruity flavor of Torani Syrup to perk up soda water. And if you're looking for a special exotic spice, you'll probably find it here, or a seasoning packet similar enough. TASTES FROM AROUND THE WORLD - Café Du Monde Beignets Mix & Chicory Coffee for a taste of New Orleans - Chocolate Covered Macadamias for a hint of Hawaii - Marzipan & Pfeffernusse for a taste of European Christmas Markets - Ramune, Pocky, Hi-Chews from Japan - Tim Tam, Vegemite from Australia - Great wines from S. Africa, Australia, Chile, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Napa - And lots of other delicacies along their many well-stocked aisles GIFTS & DECOR I love that they sell whimsical FRED novelty gift items. There are always soaps and self-care gifts for a luxurious gift basket or a hand-dyed gift bag. If you're looking for holiday plates, you'll find them for every season - Easter is adorable with lots of fresh spring designs. Summer, same. Fall brings in more Halloween items (and they've expanded a little this year). Lots of cute dishes, glasses, and dining/kitchenware that's reasonably priced as well. And now that Christmas has settled in, I enjoy their selection of felt & vintage-inspired ornaments, Christmas decor, and all the tastes and sips of the winter season. They have lots of nice earth-friendly decor made of wood and natural fibers in their merchandise - often from India, Thailand, or Bali. The textiles from around the globe are also a nice nod to the designs and textures of varied cultures. Some of the handmade crafts even remind me of my past travels to Asia or Latin America. It's always good vibes representing all corners of the world when I walk through CostPlus. The best part is I can shop like a tourist without having to unpack my suitcase.

World Market (formerly Cost Plus) is such a cool store. Inside you'll find Artisan goods, unique…read moregifts, housewares, international foods, and some eclectic wine & beer selections. I come here occasionally if I need a creative gift item, and I usually leave with something cool for myself. On my recent visit I purchased a gift card for a friend. Kaylin assisted me was friendly with a pleasant demeanor. Later in the day the checkout line is usually long. However, I was there early so it wasn't an issue. *Large parking lot.

Goodies is definitely one of those places that is near and dear to me…read more Once I started to get into furnishing my own space, I really wanted to focus on intentional pieces as well as high-quality without breaking the bank. And goodies checks off all those boxes. Whether it's a beautifully crafted or sourced marble stands, that's a perfect addition to a bookshelf, really great plates, a Matcha set, or my personal favorite, random vases goodies has it all. I would also keep an eye out on their Instagram so you can get their harder pieces, like the ladder, stools, as well as great teakwood, charcuterie boards.

Really disappointing experience, especially because I was genuinely excited to get these stools…read more I ordered two A-Frame Curved Stools on May 17. On June 12, Goodies texted me: "We got your pre order for END OF AUGUST pick up" and "We will send you a text when it's ready for pick up." August came and went with no update. I followed up myself in mid-September and was told, "our factory messed up this particular style and the corrected shipment will arrive second week of oct." Four months after ordering, I still don't have the stools. I understand production problems happen. My issue is the lack of communication or accountability. When I expressed frustration about the delay, the response was simply, "we can issue you a refund if you'd like." I've also seen other customers describe similar experiences with delays and poor communication, so mine does not seem unique. I still really liked the stools, but the way this order has been handled has been very frustrating.

Super staff and it reminds me of the old (long gone) Disney Store locations. Since this is inside…read morethe studio it's not open to the general public unless a special event. They carry most items that are available on Shop Disney and often will have something left over that sold out quickly on the site. The back of the store is a smaller room/area that is cast exclusive items such as keychains, lanyard holders, clothing and other special items. Should you be ABLE to visit here I suggest you should because it's almost nostalgic with the old Disney Store setting and wonderful pleasant staff.

First time visiting and MOG definitely has its pros and cons…read more.. Located in Studio property, you do need to be a cast member to get in. Park in the big lot on Flower- go through security to get cleared and parking is limited but in the back. The store is beautiful- not the bargain bin vibes you get at Company D in Anaheim. There is a ton of branded WED Imagineering merch and current in-park merch. However, if you are a CM who works in the parks, you're used to major deals at Company D or Maters. Here you'll get your regular employee discount A or B. If you are a guest/non-CM you will get no discount. There were a few items that were a really good discounted deal- there were also things from Aulani and Candy/Snacks. What was sort disappointing here was the guest service from staff. I had no idea how pricing was here, since Park CM's are used to pretty much everything being 50 percent off of the price tagged. When I asked if it was the same here I got a very annoyed eye roll and told that I ONLY get a discount IF I have a BLUE ID. Then a non-cm guest (who was clearly in the spectrum) asked a girl at the register about what types of jobs they have and how he could get one. Another annoyed, unfriendly answer from this girl... What really did it for me was when I asked where the restroom was. Again, the same girl was super annoyed and rattled off directions. I apologized and let her know this was my first visit here. She just repeated everything she previously said but much slower... it was patronizing and rude. I was on my way out to leave when I realized I forgot to purchase some lanyards. I went back and got in line- the same girl was OVERLY friendly and super nice to everyone else she helped... It was just a really sad, disappointing experience shopping here. I could see how this would be a great place to shop for imagineers that work here in Glendale or Burbank. However, this will be my guest and last trip.
