Continuing from their previous location in Fondren this is a winner for Jackson and out of towners. Locals love Redfish Anna but don't hesitate to gone scallops or chef specials. Wine list is thorough. It would be helpful if waiters could describe wines and properly match to your order. I had to do research at the table. Dessert wise sea salt caramel torte was loved by the table. read more

Love this place! Great waitstaff. The food was rockstar from drinks to appetizers to dessert. I will most definitely be back!!

Always a pleasure dining here. Fantastic food! Waiters are great. Drinks were great and the bartenders loved their jobs.

It was Friday before Valentine's Day, so I didn't think I needed to make reservations. We walked in and were immediately asked if we had reservations. I said no. The hostess said we could sit outside at a table or one of the tables at the bar since we didn't have reservations. Okay, cool, no problem, we can sit at one of the tables at the bar. The service was good. Drinks were good. I had my children with me, and of course, they don't really want anything off the kids' menu, so I asked the waiter if we could just get salmon. He said yes, that shouldn't be a problem. My husband ordered the burger, and he wasn't impressed! I ordered the redfish Anna; it was good. So we eat and the check come...EXHALE! $62 for just salmon!!!! Now, mind you, I'm thinking I would get a "side of salmon" (which I asked prior to ordering) for my children because they didn't see anything on the kids' menu they liked. When we received the check, I was charged $31 just for a piece of salmon! No sides, no additional items, NOTHING! $31 a piece for just salmon! I asked the waiter about, and he he stated they don't offer a side order of salmon; it only comes as a meal. Which I wish he would have told me prior to ordering 2 pieces of salmon. I was so disappointed! read more

Food was great, but that doesn't make up for the absolutely atrocious service and management. I think we sat at our table for a solid 20-30 minutes before a waiter even showed his face. Luckily we had already gotten drinks at the bar, so didn't think much about it at first. We went to CAET for a celebration. We had a total of 8 people, however, one of the guests stayed for 20 minutes and did not order food or drink. When we asked for our separate checks, they told us they can't split checks when there are 8 or more people. There were SEVEN people at the table and only SEVEN people who ordered food or drink. When asked to speak with a manager, she stomped up and was the rudest human being I've ever had the displeasure of speaking to. They stated they cannot split the check because it was their strict policy that they didn't have the decency to tell us about when arriving for our reservation. They said they could split the check "evenly" three ways, but apparently it was beyond their skill level to split it appropriately between each guest and their respective items. So rude. So unprofessional. 100% will not be returning. read more

The service, atmosphere, and food were amazing. The lobster sliders were my favorite. We will be visiting again soon!

Magnificent! Redfish, crab cakes, and more. I hosted a catered event here and it was fabulous too. Certainly one of the finest formal nights out in Ridgeland. Vibrant bar but you'll have to come early to get a table, this is where all the empty nesters go for libations and with their guests. read more

On 10/02/2021 my wife and I visited this place for the first time, a big mistake!! We spent $160 on food and drinks! My wife ordered lobster sliders, grill and fried oysters; something could have not been prepared completely. My wife got sooooooooooo sick; I thought I was going to have to take her to the hospital; we will not return to this restaurant ever again!! read more

Dear Mrs. Emerson, you definitely have all of your facts totally incorrect. First of all you state that I threatened to slap and spit in someone's face. I would not under any circumstances do such a thing. I respect and value everyone space and feelings. I did not have a bad conversation with anyone in your establishment. As a matter of fact everyone that spoke to me apologize for what happened. Even the young man that irritated The whole situation. And Mrs Emerson of course you do know that your intimidation of calling the police did not work the last time so it does not work now, however, your restaurant is not so fabulous that I feel even the slightest desire to ever step in your restaurant again. As I stated earlier you are truly very unprofessional and this is not a smear campaign. It's simple facts. read more

Delicious. Best burger ever. I had the mozzarella burger and delicious. Best burger ever. The wedge salad was amazing. Thank you yelp reviews for sending us for a delicious dinner. read more

We went to Caet the evening before Valentine's Day. Being the foodie that I am, I researched immensely for a great restaurant to eat out on our weekend getaway! Unfortunately this isn't a restaurant for a foodie like myself! My fiancé's hanger steak tasted like burnt gristle! It was bitter from the over char, and tasted as if the pan used hadn't been cleaned properly ever. I got the scallops with corn risotto. If you could call it a risotto. The outer part of the rice was mush, the inner part still had some crunch. The tooth feel was completely unpleasant. I will say they made truffle french fries that were delicious, but that's easy. Over all I wish we hadn't gone there. I think it's completely over rated as far as the food goes. The atmosphere was beautiful and the service was impeccable! read more

Loving the upgrade from the Fondren location! Much larger space, more extensive menu, and also a more upscale feeling due to its location in renaissance. The food is great - only reason I counted off a star is Bc the service can be pretty slow and I feel as though our server wasn't attentive to us. However would go again! read more

Love this place! Lobster rolls and the shrimp po-boy are 2 favorites...though we've never had anything that wasn't good. Just sad that they aren't open for lunch on weekends anymore. read more

Went here on Saturday night, we had the charcuterie board, salmon, and redfish Anna. All the food was great! The place was packed and loud! Not ideal for an anniversary dinner, more of a place to go with friends. The tables were so close that when someone came up to talk to the people sitting beside us, she knocked over an empty glass on our table. Our waiter seemed to be stretched a little thin, but with the amount of people there and waiting, I can see why. read more

Fantastic place to get drinks and share small plates. Loved he pimento cheese and lobster rolls. My friends had the redfish and there was nothing left on the plate. Great atmosphere. read more

Aaahhmazzing!! Try the palmetto toast with bacon jam. There is really no bad choice here!!

Very nice atmosphere. Wonderful catfish blue plate. Very accommodating to children. We had a reservation but we wouldn't have had to wait for a table. Nice location in the Renaissance with shopping all around. read more

Very good seafood restaurant. Oysters were fantastic. Well positioned wine list.

We were there only for drinks and an appetizer but the tuna was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere and wine was just as good. I will be going back soon for a complete meal. thanks CAET!!! read more

July 1, 2019, Dined at Caet for the first time last night (four adults and two children). The three-star rating is probably misleading since I don't have the option of giving a 3.5 rating - that is to say, I will eat there again and I would recommend it to others. But, the wow factor just wasn't happening on our visit. The décor and atmosphere was good and the service was fair, but far from exceptional. Our waitress handled the basic duties but missed some special requests (like my request for the bill to be given to me). To be fair, the place was packed on a Monday night but she failed to observe the table for drink refills and I had to flag her down as she sped past the table to ask for additional drinks - not a huge deal but annoying just the same. Between the six of us we had a varied sampling of the menu - crab claw appetizers (good), salads, scallops, shrimp and grits, redfish anna, a fish special, a burger and a flank steak entrees - with desserts (key lime pie). Caet's interpretation of the shrimp and grits, in my opinion, was not that good - it was more along the lines of a gumbo with the grits swimming loosely in a broth (yeah, that's a yuck factor for me). The shrimp were over done and the other meat (ham?) was under done. Was it eatable? Yes, but I want be ordering it again. The other entrees were just OK according to my guests but my grandson was not happy with the degree of doneness of his flank steak (over cooked). The bill, with drinks and tip, was just over $350 - which for six people was reasonable but I did expect the food to be better according to the reviews and hype. What's the take away? My recommendation is to give it a try - you may like it - but don't expect a Walker's experience. As I said above, I will be back - if for nothing else to have drinks and crab claws in the bar! read more

Absolutely, hands down, a great tastebuds experience. In town for one night on business. Enjoyed several appetizers as my meal. Wish I would have had another day and evening to keep sampling the menu. Everything I tried was exquisite...wine too! read more

A group of 4 of us went to Caet last Saturday night, February 1. We had a reservation and still had to wait on our table. They took us to the very back corner of the restaurant against the wall which was covered in mirrors. There is a reason. It was a cave. We waited 40 minutes before they brought our drink orders out. In the meantime, our appetizer came out (with no drinks) and we ate most of it, was saving the rest for our drink! The waiter comes and takes it from the table without asking us if we were finished. Fastest thing he did all night. My Redfish Anna was DRY. The waiter didn't know what was in one of the dishes, he didn't even know what foie gras was! He said it was a cajun type vegetable. Getting a refill for drinks was equally as fun. It was the worst experience. I used to love Caet in the old location but our ticket was $350 bucks and I will NEVER go back. If you pay that much for a meal, you expect them to have their act together and at least get a wait staff that knows what is going on. read more
