Zucchini fries!!!
Marie G.

Birthday dinner with family from all over the country! This place is amazing. Every course was on point and absolutely high-end what is funny is that I'm writing this review almost a year later. I thought I did post one, but I guess not so more on this funny point I'm turning 70 this year and my sister had planned a surprise party for me and everyone in the family was flying in and it was gonna be at the same location but due to the travel delays caused by the government shut down everyone canceled including me. I told my sister I couldn't fly out to Mississippi. There's no direct flight from El Paso. I have to go to Dallas or Atlanta and you know that is a hot mess so hopefully everyone can get together sometime during the holidays, but yes, I was thrilled when my sister told me we were coming back to this place. It is absolutely beautiful and very high-end.

Redfish Anna

Tasty spot in a trendy area! I had the redfish Anna and the fish was cooked perfectly with complementing flavors to match. A glass of wine and the dish did set me back just over $60 with tip, so it's a pricier spot. The space was large with both indoor and outdoor seating options so nice for a gathering.

The food here is absolutely amazing. for the appetizers me, my gf, and my mom got the lobster rolls (first time trying lobster) and it was amazing we also got the pimento cheese and bacon jam with bread which was also amazing and my mom got a half dozen of oysters and she loved them and says that they were the best she's ever had. The staff were super friendly and made sure that our cups were always filled. We all got the wood grilled fillet which was the best steaks we've ever eaten. the atmosphere of this place was so beautiful and the lighting there was definitely perfect to tie everything together. 10/10 would recommend.

Redfish Anna

I will go here 100 times over! I've only been once but omg I cant wait to go back. My table ordered the raw oysters, they were 10/10, but be careful mixing the cocktail - I made the mistake of adding way too much horseradish ha. Truffle fries 20/10! The steak is sooo tender, can't rate it high enough! & the redfish anna might be top 3 fish i've ever put in my mouth - even better than fish at the beach. oh & the key lime pie - WOW!!!

The salmon

Oh boy, my expectations were high based on the reviews so I made a reservation for my wife's birthday. This was shocking. A reservation just means you join the line at the door at that time. It took forever to get a table. May as well have been a walk up. When we were finally seated we ordered gumbo for appetizers. The rice wasn't cooked. Raw rice in the gumbo was like eating sand. Horrible, but we suffered on. My wife ordered the wood grilled salmon and I tried the signature redfish Anna. The redfish still had scales on it and the salmon was soft mush inside. Disappointing food quality and slow service. We were deserted after bringing the issue with the gumbo to their attention and it went to crap from there. That should have been a sign to chalk it up to experience and leave. There are amazing places to eat In Mississippi but this isn't one of them. Don't take your wife here for a birthday dinner....!!

Half-Wedge Salad.

As a first time diner at CAET, I will have to say that the entire dining experience was ! From our waiter (Jason) to the entire menu offering, this is clearly a jem. Even the Bourbon and Rye selections are top-tier! I started with a half Wedge Salad whish was massive. I will have to say that this Wedge was maybe one of the best I have ever had. For my entré I had the Bay Sea Scallops on a bed if White Truffle Risotto. Drool...! The Scallops were massive and tender, the Risotto was perfectly done and the side of Brussel Sprouts with Bacon was superb! As I am spending time in the Jackson area working this week and next, I will be coming back and highly recommend considering dining at CAET.

Grouper with coconut curry and rice.

Been here before and the truffle risotto, crab cakes and the version of cauliflower saganaki are awesome. I was a bit disappointed with sauce on ahi tuna. I would recommend it on the side. Chipotle sauce is a stretch.

One of the best in Jackson. Try the grilled oysters, they are always great. Raul is our favorite server there!

Very good wine list. Wines on tap. Formal service, very upscale vibe. West Coast and East Coast oysters.

Probably my favorite go-to in Jackson for food, drink, atmosphere and just "getting out". Not a…read moretraditional tavern that I could describe only to say I have never felt unwelcome here, never been cussed at here, never been given attitude here and NEVER been shot at. My go-to meal is the Werewolf Bait sandwich or Brii burger. I would argue that their cocktail menu and expertise is second to none in town. Always a perfectly tailored beer tap selection plus bottle and can selection. In the mood to play a game or games? They will have it here. Want an obscure drink? They will make it here...and likely make one you have not heard of. Head on over and you won't be disappointed.

Came here because it was one of the few places open on Easter Sunday as we were driving home, and…read morewe were very impressed. First, the decor is very cool. Great Legos on display, a cool "game" vibe, and very friendly staff. The food was also really good. The chili cheese tots were excellent. The tots were crispy and the chili and cheese were delicious. My chicken sandwich on Texas toast was also very good. The pickles they put on this sandwich, along with the garlic mayo, really add great flavor, and the toast was buttered and perfectly toasted. The pizza was good and you can add extra pepperonis if you want, for $1. They have tons of board games and card games and even a few video games for people to play. They host gaming nights, apparently, which is cool. The service was also really good. They asked if we wanted water to go, and without asking, they brought a small to-go cup of lemons, since we had lemon with the water we had with our food. A very nice touch. It's an interesting place in the middle of Mississippi that is worth stopping at if you're passing through around lunch time.
