We had our 50th Class Reunion Celebration Saturday Night. We had made this reservation a month before for a private dining room. Also we're told that if we were 15 minutes late person that we would lose $50.00 deposit per person that was late. They were twenty minutes late in seating us and we were seated in a room with other customers tables and our table was especially cramped in our seating, even tough we had made confirmation for 16 and confirm (3) times before restaurant. I had brought in player to play 70s music for our event and had gotten permission before. About a minute after I had plugged in machine but had not turn on any volume. The owner came up to me in loud voice in my face and telling me I could not play the Karaoke machine which had no microphone nor was that our intention. He keep on and on even though I tried to explain I had permission was only going to play Pandora 70s music. I even lowered my voice to a whisper and ask him to lower his voice which he did not so i walk away motion him to follow me to a private area to continue the discussion which he finally did and after he was out of site of an audience did his voice lower in our discussion. He was unprofessional, rude and behavior like a spoiled jersey! Not only my opinion but 16 people agreed a our table but five other people came up to me and expressed their observations of his behavior. Also, some of our orders we wrong and when I spoke up to say I did not order my side which was a grits dish, because I do not eat grits, the waiter kept arguing that I did order that dish, finally after back and forth, he said he would bring me another dish. I ask for menu to point out what I order. Never received a menu or another dish. I ask for dessert menu, never received it as well! Took my mom to Two Rivers Restaurant for Mother's Day dinner Saturday. This was momma's first time. Our server was Sherie A and like the other servers I've encountered there, she was great! When I tell you I never had to ask for a tea refill or another basket of bread....she was very on point. Inside has a romantic feel but it's very relaxed. Nice place for date night or a dinner with friends. Momma and I both got the blackened redfish topped with the lump crab in butter sauce. I got sautéed spinach as my side and she went with the baked potato. We both got the side salad, with her picking the Greek vinaigrette and I went with the green remoulade dressing. We each got bread pudding as dessert. I didn't care for the salad dressing. I love remoulade but this dressing didn't have a taste. Didn't taste bad and didn't taste good. Zero flavor and taste. Momma enjoyed her salad dressing though so I will remember to get it next time. That was a fine piece of fish though! This was my first time here. The food is EXCELLENT! I had at least a bite of crab cakes, shrimp, and raw oysters. The bread was good too and you can dip it in the sauce on the crab cakes platter. We both had steak which was cooked perfectly so tender and tasty. The sides were also delicious including the Amish bread. What can I say? It's apparently a local cult classic. The food isn't terrible but the quality doesn't match the price. Let me start with the mexican cornbread. I had read reviews and we excitedly awaited its arrival. It looked great! It was dense and dry but it needed so much more sauce to make it tolerable. We don't see what all the hype is about. 100% would not recommend that. Other than the best presentation of the night, it's a no go. My beef brochette was served atop over-cooked angel hair with a cream sauce reminiscent of my first try at cream sauce 30 years ago. Bland and tasted like it was made with desicated parmesan and milk. The presentation was a bit hysterical. The 3 grilled pepper spears and onion spears were awkwardly arranged to the side like an episode of a home chef cooking show. The orange slice twist was an odd garnish. The steak was cooked as ordered, med-rare and had a good flavor. Was it disgusting? No. Was it worth $33? No. My husband had the pork chop. It was delicious but overcooked. So many places overcook pork so this wasn't surprising. The sauce was so flavorful and I ordered fries as my side for him to enjoy. The fries were homemade and perfectly cooked. He ordered the cheese grits and they were pretty good. It was so odd that he had a porkchop on a plate with a bowl of grits that were not even on the plate. Again, presentation is lacking and you eat with your eyes first! We had taken our aunt and uncle for their 42 wedding anniversary. She had the amberjack special and he had redfish. Both enjoyed theirs. Our aunt and uncle ordered a special dessert which was a puff pastry with mixed berries. We all tried it and enjoyed it. It was served piping hot with a scoop of ice cream. I personally think a better quality whipped cream would befit that type of dessert. I ordered the apple pie. Someone in the kitchen knows how to make pastry. The most perfect, flaky crust. The only think I would have enjoyed more was a tiny sprinkling of sugar on the pastry prior to baking but otherwise, it was amazing. Now to our server. We have known Ms V for over 20 years but lost touch with her when Steam Room Grille closed. She is an angel and could teach classes on what makes an absolutely delightful and skilled server. We might go back just for her! Overall, we feel it's over priced for the quality. We are foodies. met friends there for dinner. we had reservations for the bar area which was crowded. it was a few minutes until we were greeted by our waiter but he soon came and took our drink order. i enjoyed one of their speciality cocktails, hearts desire. it was both attractive and delicious! we ordered appetizers of char grilled oysters, gumbo and salads. we were served the gumbo, received 12 oysters but ordered 6, but the salad did not arrive prior to the meal and must have been forgotten since it never arrived. all entrees were delicious and served as ordered but again gaining the attention our waiter could be challenging. i ordered another drink that was never served. i chalked it up to the fullness of the bar but at a restaurant where food and drinks are exceptional so should service be, not the case. read more

Everything we ordered from appetizers to drinks and main course was delicious, Their filets were the best I've had in a long time and the service was excellent. Good evening all, as great as this food was, it just got ruined by a very snobbish waitress, who I gave a generous tip. I ordered an appetizer, a main course followed by a dessert. My tab alone was $96.00 which I have/had no problem with, followed by a 22% tip. Here is some background, I'm in Mississippi (draw your own conclusions) I was the only patron at the time that looked like me (melanated). The gentleman who brought me my entre was a Black man. My waitress periodically asked is there "anything" I needed. But waited on the table that came 20 minutes after I arrived and she frequently asked that table numerous times if they needed anything. Granted there were several people in their party. After I paid my bill and giving such a generous tip, I was told that "you need to leave because there is a party coming". I've never in my 57 years ever been told something like that. I was offended and dejected. Out of embarrassment I left and asked to speak to a manager. I asked him to come outside to discuss this behavior, and the waitress from hell got wind of it and came storming out to defend her obnoxious behavior, gave me a "Karen" apology and expected me to genuflect at her half hearted apology. I've always loved this place until 3 weeks ago. I want be going back again. We ordered the surf and turf and we had to ask for the lobster. When we got our ticket it wasn't rang up as Surf and Turf it was I think $69 for the Steak and $59/$49 for the lobster tail. The bartender was fabulous though. She was the only one making drinks and the place was packed. It's hard to believe noone else in that place could pour a drink and maybe take some stain off of her. I assume they had some employees call in or quit. The food has never been that poor in around 13 years that I have gone there. Maybe we just went on a bad night. read more

I have eaten here many times and have always loved it. The last time I was there with a large party and three of us got a small filet. I have to say We were all shocked. It was the size of a half dollar and over cooked. I have gotten the small filet before and never thought it was small. I get that costs have gone up but portion size should not go down.... I'll eat here again but will not order filet again. Others in the group got the strip and it was a normal size. By far the best place for all your beef needs!! Went for the first time for an anniversary dinner and was so impressed. The place is very nice and cozy (outdoor decor is odd lol). The steaks were cooked to perfection, exactly as we ordered them! The serving size is also very large. Could g eat it all if I tried! I have been eating at Two Rivers since they were on the East side of I 55. This is the best resturant in this part of the state. The red fish is delicious. They have the best tuna you will ever eat as well as the flounder. The service is second to none and the bar has almost anything you could want. Parking is plentiful. Visited with several friends for a birthday last night. It was crazy busy with prom apparently going on, so service was a little slow but understandable. Food was great. I had the New York strip, medium rare. It was cooked perfectly. Sautéed mushrooms, cheese grits and onion rings were all great. My wife had the filet and it was also great. I got an 18 oz bone in ribeye with crab meat on top. The crab meat wasn't just crab meat, it was a sauce. The steak was good. The few pieces of crab 'meat' was good. The sides were good. Unfortunately, the sauce took away from my steak. The sauce drown out the steak. I don't remember reading anywhere that it was a crab meat sauce. I ordered my steak topped with crab meat, not crab meat sauce. I would recommend not ordering a steak topped with this sauce. What a hidden gem! Dining room or separate bar area...you can't go wrong here. Steaks and fish are their calling cards. Service was excellent as you would expect with this caliber of restaurant. Steaks were cooked properly and were excellent. I had the flounder special and it was the best I've had anywhere in this country! Dessert menu was well thought out and creme brûlée was as described. It's just a tad pricey but you get everything you would expect for your money. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. We will be back more often. read more

Ordered the $40 ribeye medium rare. Got served to me twice and each time I cut into it, and before i could even say anything, the waitress noticed it was completely raw and brought it back both times. When it came back the third time it was burnt on the outside and well done on the inside. Additional it was completely dry due to the fact they kept recooking it. (Each side of a steak should never touch a grill more than once) Most of the steak was inedible at this point and they didnt offer me a discount and so I had to ask for one considering the meal I was supposed to get they completely destroyed. Upon asking the only discount I got was $15 and basically ended up paying $61 for a couple drinks, a salad and baked potato. My advice, don't come here. Run as far away as u can. You can get a much better steak for less at a large chain steakhouse that will treat you right and comp you appropriately should they mess up (as we all know, mistakes happen. We're human) I also viewed this on google and the owner replied in a very unprofessional manner. We were looking for a place to eat and we're told this would be a great place to go to. We were passing though and we're not dressed up to par in our opinion. We came in and requested a place for six. We're shown a seat in the bar area but we're told there was another group and had to be done by 7pm. It was 5:45 when we got there and we're seated. We left and went to Marlos BBQ. Trust me Marlos is worth it. This place is not unless you enjoy showing how much money you want to throw away. Have fun. read more

Tried Two Rivers for the first time on a "pre-Valentine" dinner. We were seated right away with a reservation made for early evening. Our server came right away filling our water glasses and taking our other drink requests and our appetizer order. Both came pretty quickly and put in our entree er at the same time. We finished our appetizer within about 10 minutes. Probably within another 10 minutes the plates & serving dish were removed by our server. This is where things began to fall apart. We sat there with only 1 check-in by our server for 30-40 minutes before receiving our entree. The food was ok, my steak was cooked perfectly but virtually no seasoning. I ordered the sweet potato as my side and had to unwrap it from the foil, cut it open, try removing the skin, then dress it myself with butter, cinnamon, and sugar which were served in separate containers. All the while my steak was getting cold. Won't say we would never go back, but it won't be our first choice. We will give them another try just in case they were having an off night. Hopefully we will get a more attentive server next time. read more

This was my first time to dine at Two Rivers and I will be back. The food was tasty, the service personable and the atmosphere warm and charming. We went in late December and they had a tent covering the entrance with a large fire pit and white lights inside. It made a fantastic waiting room. The inside of the restaurant is warm and inviting. I had the red snapper, another person had the veal Oscar, and the other person had the flounder. All dishes were good. For appetizers we started with the fried green tomatoes, they were ok but I have had better. We also ordered the stuffed shrimp. They were out of this world. I highly recommend you check them out if you are going to order an appetizer. None of us were drinking this evening so we did not check out the bar but several people around us had glasses of wine and mixed drinks. We absolutely loved Two Rivers for date night Wednesday September 4th, 2019.. the food was fantastic and the service was wonderful. Kathryn was behind the bar with Colson as her bar back.. both were very knowledgeable and attentive. We had the Filet tips for an appetizer and they were cooked perfectly medium rare.. so delicious. We both enjoyed house salads one with 1000 island and one with Caesar.. bread and butter was also served. I chose the tuna entree with steamed broccoli and a loaded baked potato.. my husband had the redfish with angel hair pasta.. it was all of great quality and delicious. We can't wait to go back.
