Always been. A local favorite, and the food is always great. They pricy though. Even before the inflation was crazy were going to drop $100 bill. You are getting your money's worth though. read more

Definitely recommend service and food was excellent as always, definitely will be going back again

We were looking for a place to eat and we're told this would be a great place to go to. We were passing though and we're not dressed up to par in our opinion. We came in and requested a place for six. We're shown a seat in the bar area but we're told there was another group and had to be done by 7pm. It was 5:45 when we got there and we're seated. We left and went to Marlos BBQ. Trust me Marlos is worth it. This place is not unless you enjoy showing how much money you want to throw away. Have fun. read more

Superb food. Love this place. It's the best seared tuna in MS. Try the coconut pie. Unreal. read more

Two Rivers Restaurant - Grade A tuna seared perfectly - New American Near Me - Canton, Mississippi

This was my first time to dine at Two Rivers and I will be back. The food was tasty, the service personable and the atmosphere warm and charming. We went in late December and they had a tent covering the entrance with a large fire pit and white lights inside. It made a fantastic waiting room. The inside of the restaurant is warm and inviting. I had the red snapper, another person had the veal Oscar, and the other person had the flounder. All dishes were good. For appetizers we started with the fried green tomatoes, they were ok but I have had better. We also ordered the stuffed shrimp. They were out of this world. I highly recommend you check them out if you are going to order an appetizer. None of us were drinking this evening so we did not check out the bar but several people around us had glasses of wine and mixed drinks. I am looking forward to going back and trying something else. read more

We absolutely loved Two Rivers for date night Wednesday September 4th, 2019.. the food was fantastic and the service was wonderful. Kathryn was behind the bar with Colson as her bar back.. both were very knowledgeable and attentive. We had the Filet tips for an appetizer and they were cooked perfectly medium rare.. so delicious. We both enjoyed house salads one with 1000 island and one with Caesar.. bread and butter was also served. I chose the tuna entree with steamed broccoli and a loaded baked potato.. my husband had the redfish with angel hair pasta.. it was all of great quality and delicious. We can't wait to go back. The beer was cold and the cocktails were amazing as well. read more

Tried Two Rivers for the first time on a "pre-Valentine" dinner. We were seated right away with a reservation made for early evening. Our server came right away filling our water glasses and taking our other drink requests and our appetizer order. Both came pretty quickly and put in our entree er at the same time. We finished our appetizer within about 10 minutes. Probably within another 10 minutes the plates & serving dish were removed by our server. This is where things began to fall apart. We sat there with only 1 check-in by our server for 30-40 minutes before receiving our entree. The food was ok, my steak was cooked perfectly but virtually no seasoning. I ordered the sweet potato as my side and had to unwrap it from the foil, cut it open, try removing the skin, then dress it myself with butter, cinnamon, and sugar which were served in separate containers. All the while my steak was getting cold. Won't say we would never go back, but it won't be our first choice. We will give them another try just in case they were having an off night. Hopefully we will get a more attentive server next time. read more

Great meal. The Mexican cornbread was a nice starter. The Steak was well-seasoned and cooked perfectly (Medium-rare). The potato stack was rich and buttery. The habanero jack cheese grits had just the right about of kick. read more

Terrible service and its so dark you can't see the menu. How this place ever got voted best steak in Mississippi is beyond me. Everyones steak at out table was tough and instead os salad they should just say lettuce in a bowl. Redfish looked like 2 fish sticks. Best thing about this place was the bread. read more

This restaurant has recently given me one of the best experiences that i have had in a while at any restaurant. Last thursday which was the 7th of september,2023 with my girlfriend, we didnt wait long at all to get a tabke and we were greeted very nicely as we first walked through the door. When you first walk in you notice that it doesnt smell like grease, but in fact it smells as if you were walking into someone's home that has made a homemade meal. walking in to that restaurant bring you peace and doesnt just make you feel like your at a fast food restaurant. Our waiter, who's name was michelle was very nice and informational about the restaurant. We told michelle that it was our first time at the resturant and asked if she could recommend anything to us and she recommended the fresh redfish. We ordered it, topped with lump crabmeat and it came with a lemon butter cream sauce. While we were eating, the manager named ms.Macy maulding, stopped by and asked us if we were enjoying our evening there and we told him that we very much were having a good time. Michelle also recommended that we try one of they're famous desserts so we had the red velvet cake that was on the menu for a limited time only. Me and my girlfriend really did have a great time at this place and will definitely be going back some other time soon. If you are ever in the area you should try this place out. read more

Yeeeeeesssssssssir!! I saw the lighting passing by one day and decided i would try this place out for "my turn" on date night. Atmosphere and service was chill and cool. We had a good waiter and excellent food!! I had the redfish with crab and lemon sauce. JUST MAKE SURE YOU BRING YOUR WALLET :) two thumbs up!! read more

I will agree with the previous reviews. This place is pricey but is so good. If you're celebrating something special and are in this area. Please try. It is well worth the money. Only downside, it was a little dark. I prefer a little bit more light when I eat and the tables are close together. Service was friendly and professional. Food delicious!!! read more

Excellent restaurant! Took my brother and his wife there for their anniversary, and everything was great!! Highly recommend.

WINNER! Excellent always enjoy an opportunity to experience a bone-in filet with sautéed mushrooms and spinach. This trip, I added the caramel pecan brownie ala mode. There must be opiates mixed it because I couldn't stop eating it. Don't pass go, go directly to this establishment and treat yourself to how steak is supposed to taste. read more

It was delicious. I had the red fish and a sweet potato. We loved the Greek homemade salad dressing. The service was excellent and we hope to be back soon!! read more

We went in with our noses in the air thinking that this place in Canton, MS could not serve a better steak than MM Shapley's or Koestler Prime. How wrong we were. From the moment we were seated, our adorable waitress Brittany was just lovely, very attentive, but also allowing us the time we needed to ourselves. I ordered the steak tips appetizer and a Caesar salad and my husband had the rib eye. This was cooked PERFECTLY for both of us. We left with leftovers and some of their delicious bread! Will we go back? ABSOLUTELY!! And although we didn't have room for dessert we hear it is a must! read more

This restaurant was very nicely decorated and had wonderful food. Most entrees were over $30. the filet was cooked just right and very tender. The New York strip was very tasty but a little tougher then the filet. The salad was very plain with just lettuce and two cherry tomatoes which could have been better. The baked potato all dressed was good. The coconut cheesecake was to die for! read more

Two Rivers Restaurant - Filet mignon with baked potato! - New American Near Me - Canton, Mississippi

I almost began with "this is an excellent restaurant for Canton", but that would not be fair to either Two Rivers or Canton. Fact is, this is an excellent restaurant, and would be just that wherever it were located. Strictly accidental that we dined here, got a very late start leaving Vicksburg for the weekend in Oxford, so knew we needed to have dinner somewhere in or near Jackson since there are very few restaurant options between Jackson and Grenada. We called and made a reservation before leaving Vicksburg, were given choice between restaurant side or lounge side; we opted for the former, not really in the mood for live music. Very attractive restaurant, comfortable rooms, one primarily booths and the other all tables. Our server Brittany took great care of us, most especially with my wife's dietary restrictions: we both had small filets, cooked perfectly, though my wife asked that hers be seared a little more for that crusty flavor; these were beautiful steaks, thick, juicy, flavorful. For sides I had the habanero cheese grits, which are delicious but not as spicy hot as you might expect, and my wife had the sautéed spinach, which they cooked without any garlic because of her diet. We both had nice, fresh Romaine salads (were given the choice of Romaine, spinach, or iceberg), and a very good, inexpensively priced bottle of Cline Zinfandel. Tab was just over $100. Food was great, service was helpful, attentive, and friendly, and the overall atmosphere very relaxing. We will find a reason to return. read more

We will definitely be back and I recommend this fine, professional establishment to everyone. read more

Worth the hour ride!! Place is very cool inside, loved the way it was decorated. Staff very friendly from moment we walked in to when we left. Appetizer we shared fried green tomatoes with shrimp on top(sorry took pic after hubby cut up tomatoes and put shrimp in my dish lol)..was very good, the sauce on it was amazing. Entree comes with salad and side dish. Salad was fresh and had the blue cheese dressing, that had chunks of blue cheese in it:) I had the special. portobello mushroom with a 6 oz filet mignon on top and lump crabmeat on top of filet with a cream sauce-it was OUTSTANDING! had side of sauteed spinach-was ok. Husband had 10 oz filet mignon and garlic mashed potatoes-very good. To top it off had to order the table side made Banana's Fosters-OUTSTANDING!! Totally recommend this restaurant to everyone!! You will not be disappointed!! Oh and they make homemade loaf of bread that comes out with your salad, it was delicious (no pic sorry, we dove in too quick lol) read more

Attentive wait staff and great food. The bone-in ribeye was prepared to perfection. A little pricy for Canton but well worth it. A great place to impress your date if you don't mind shelling out some $$$. read more

I've been dinning here for years and it just gets better! My family and i have never had anything off the menu that wasn't great. On occasion a steak may be undercooked but is handled immediately. The service is always spot on, and Jamie is the best server/sales person in the business. Ask for Jamie.... she's the best. The veal picatta, fried oysters, hamburger steak, redfish and snapper.... to die for!! Get the bananas foster... unbelievable. We eat here at least 4-5 times a month and worth every penny! No need to drive into Madison/ Ridgeland area and definitely not Jackson!! read more

Excellent!!! We had the Mexican cornbread to start, and it's both sweet and spicy with a nice cream sauce on top that's complementary and not overpowering. Accompanying shrimp cooked perfectly! Also, try the fried green tomatoes for no other reason than to taste the sauce. The. Sauce. Super soft bread also served for sauce sopping! New York strip was delicious and served with habanero cheese grits that any southerner would be proud to eat. But the best - hands down - was the sashimi tuna steak!! I have no words. We shall return!! read more

Wow! I did not think this place was going to be this good. From the outside it looks huge and a lot of places this big can be inconsistent and formulaic. Once you are in the restaurant is divided into smaller intimate rooms which gives it a cozy and attractive feel. The service is excellent. I have been here twice and tried three of their dishes and an equal number of appetizers and they have been on the mark in terms of creativity, dellivery, and presentation. It is not cutting edge and there is not a lot of innovation, but solid as can be. I have not eaten better food even as far as Jackson and there may be a couple of places that rival this in Jackson, but none better. I did not find the place as expensive as I thought it would be, either. read more

Stopped in to try with my wife. The food was ok and the waitress was friendly. She was new and not as knowledgable as the waiter at the next table when trying to explain the specials. We sat in the resteraunt part and not the bar side. From what we hear the bar side is the place to be. But all that aside, the price are what you would see at Walker's or Parker House. The food is not! My ribeye was cooked to perfection but had no flavor. My wife got the hamburger steak with extra gravy on top. Again bland! She salted it up to get the flavor she wanted. The cheese grits were again very uneventful. So I dont think we will be going back. If I am going to pay those prices I will go to Walker's! read more

It was close to my hotel and wanted to give this a try. I was limited on items due to company paying for dinner. I ended up trying the hamburger steak and it was OK. I think it was a little too rare the the taste was great. I am sure their steaks are great though. read more

A local favorite in Canton, this place is nothing fancy but the food quality is exceptional and fresh. Everything our group had here was decent quality, but the bacon wrapped shrimp in sauce was a little taste of heaven. Sop it up with some bread and be happy. Got the pork shank over grits with asparagus. The meat just fell off the bone and was very flavorful. This is probably the only sit down restaurant worth going to in Canton. read more

The food and service was great. This place is a lot more pricey than we were looking for. I ordered the pork tenderloin (which was very good) mainly because it was about the only thing under 30.00.
