I always enjoy sitting on the outdoor patio. It's nice to watch the people come and go. you can also catch your favorite game on the patio. service is constantly good. i think sitting on the patio keeps you out of the servers constant eye, which is understandable. We've dined here several times so i was glad to see they were finally available on Yelp. I've had many dishes here and can't think of one that wasn't good,

Excellent service and atmosphere! The food was great, very quick during a busy lunch hour. Will definitely be back.

The server we got was very knowledgeable about the menu and accommodated our request to be on separate checks which was great. I ended up getting an 8oz filet cooked medium rare which was cooked to perfection. The steak was absolutely delicious. Mushrooms were great with dusting wine and pepper taste which I enjoyed. Scalloped potatoes were so good as well. I don't think there was anyone in our party who thought the experience was not 5/5! If you're looking for a great upscale steak house this is the place to visit.

The ambiance is what you would expect. Low lighting, white tablecloths and excellent service. I hate I can't remember my server's name because he should teach a master class on providing service. I ordered the salmon, cooked medium, with a side of asaparus. My mom and sister both got the 8oz filet. Mom got her's cooked medium with mushrooms, while my sister did medium rare with a side of housecut fries. All entrees come with a salad, and we all three picked the vinaigrette dressing. Salad and dressing needed salt. I hate I didn't go with another dressing because I would have really enjoyed my salad more. My salmon and asparagus were very tasty. My mom said her steak melted in her mouth. The side of fries were huge so we all ate some. They were really good! Momma and my sister got the bread pudding and I went with the chocolate chess pie for dessert. You can tell they make the desserts as they were soooo good! It was my first time dinning there but won't be my last.

We decided to go on a Monday night, just two couples. We had reservations for 515 although there…read morewas no one there on Monday evening. The young lady who served us was very sweet and attentive. We started with appetizers, the hoop cheese and bacon dip, and the shrimp scampi dip. Both were delicious and we were given plenty of things to dip with. The rolls and butter are so good. Their bartender makes a delicious old fashioned and our friends wife had an Etta James. We found her to be quite "dilute" but it would have been tasty with less water. I chose my salad to be the blue cheese wedge. If you like a little lettuce with your salad dressing, you would've been very happy. See the photo for the wedge swimming in blue cheese. It was pretty much in edible. It did not have red onion as the menu described. Do I sound petty? I expect to get what the menu says and if you are out, just say so. The other three all got the garden salad, but they had to order a second dressing for theirs. We were not happy that our meals came literally minutes after the salads were delivered. I had the sirloin cooked, medium, rare with a baked potato. The butter was melted, and the sour cream was a bit curdled, which told me it had been sitting under the light for a bit. It was cooked nicely and potato was fresh. The steak was tough but that's the nature of most sirloins. This was tougher than usual though. If you're saying, well why didn't you order the filet, I rarely order a filet out because I cook a darned good one at home. Mike had the seafood pasta. I tasted it and found it to be delicious. He was very happy with the dish other than the fact that it did not have the garlic bread it was supposed to and the young lady told us they did not have any tonight. Our friend's wife had the smoked chicken. That chicken breast should be pounded out evenly. It was entire too thick on one end. At least 2 inches thick. We found it to be extremely dry but the flavor was nice. Our friend had the shrimp plate with half grilled half fried. He was very happy with the shrimp, but even though he ordered the steak fries extra crispy, they were still not to his liking. Overall, it was a great meal, we learned some things that we would not order again. We did find it disappointing that there was no one there and it was 530 on a Monday night and they did not have garlic bread The steakhouse had little quaint cubbies to sit in. We love that you aren't sitting on top of other people Will we go again? Yes. We will mostly likely go for apps and cocktails though.

Once again heading back down 49 from the Delta and looking for quick lunch options, Yelp reviews…read morehelped me target the Blue Rooster. A slight deviation into Flora down First street and one lap around the block. The sign was so small we missed it and the parking lot is torn up and under renovation. Not an easy place to find at first. The small amount of signage tells you that this is a place only the locals are ment to know about. For those of you who look on Yelp for this place the Big Nasty is no longer on the menus. However it is available as a custom order if you want to try it. It's the photo of the Big Nasty and the name that drew me in. The cooks recommendation of their signature burger persuaded my choice. I went for the Fire House. Grilled home made burger patty with the choice of plump and juicy or smashed. Melted cheese, grilled onions, lettuce, tomato and pickles on a jalapeño bun. I got the green chilies on the side. The owner recommended that because they buy fresh and can never determine the heat. Great idea. I tasted first and then layered the sweet peppery heat to my liking. It also came with dipping sauce options for the fries. I went with the Mississippi style comeback sauce. Found myself topping the chilies with it. What a great tasting, burger. Well seasoned patty, great cheese and salad combo and the spice and zing from the peppers complemented the comeback. The Blue Rooster is a worth while and totally tasty burger detour if you are passing Flora around lunch time. Another local gem.

Let me say that this was some of the friendliest staff ever. They were so invested in making sure we had a great experience. It was a guy and 2 ladies. All equally friendly. Hand pattied burgers. Yes!!! Mike got the flame thrower with the hand cut fries. He said "delicious". I had the rooster burger with hand cut sweet potato fries dipped in ranch. The onion was sweet and mild, tender butter lettuce and what appeared to be a homegrown hot house tomato. Impressive considering it's March 1. I personally felt the bun was a little heavy compared to the meat and enjoyed mine with the top of a jalapeño cheddar bun only. A really great burger. Sweet and creamy banana pudding. A good southern ckasWe took a piece of butterfinger cheese cake home. I forgot pics of the burgers but feast your eyes on the cheesecake!
