I actually haven't tried the food yet but so far the customer service has been really good. I told the person who answered the phone that I wanted a salad I saw in a picture but it wasn't on the Yelp menu, he told me I could place the order on the phone with him. This is my first time ordering from this restaurant and he was patient being that there aren't many pictures on the Yelp menu. He also said he would send me a menu. I will add to my review after delivery and we dine. UPDATE: After we ate I up'd my stars from four to a five. We had the chicken lunch special, grilled chicken salad, chicken and beef empanada, all excellent. Delivery was quick, the driver was very pleasant. The cane and lime tasted like lemonade, I would have liked the cane to shine through a little more, it was good. The malta was not a brand I am accustomed to and the tres leche was okay. i spent $24 on a chachapa and tamarindo juice. the tamarindo juice was good but the after taste was horrible it tasted like sink. my chachapa was not cut, it was watery, the chicken was barely shredded, and the mozzarella cheese didn't give mozzarella.. my cachapa tasted like it was rush and microwaved. extremely disappointed i use to love this place. never again. read more

I stumbled upon this place by accident searching for a whole different restaurant and was not disappointed. I ordered the Pabellon with pork, assuming it was going to be similar to a plate of rice and beans with pernil we get in my hometown in Puerto Rico. NOPE. This was entirely different and super delicious. The pork was tender and not like pernil I've ever had before. The beans were AMAZING. If I was a weirdo and lived alone I'd probably try to eat a whole cup of their beans by itself, they were that good. I also got a steak tocucho and the steak was perfectly cooked although I wasn't fond of the sauce on it. Will definitely order from them again. read more

I found this place and ordered delivery for the first time. I never tried Venezuelan food before and was eager to try something new. I followed the advice of my trusty yelpers and decided to order the shredded chicken sweet plantain sandwich, cane sugar and lime juice and the tres leches cake. I am so glad I tried. The sandwich was delicious! Wow, some great flavors were packed in there and it was quite filling. I had to save some for later. Food was still warm when it arrived and packed very well! No spills. The juice was so good and so was the tres leches cake. When you order tres leches cake from someplace new, it can go very well or very horribly wrong. This place has a good tasting one with no medicine/chemical after taste. Good job. Also, the delivery driver was very kind and polite. My wife was in the mood for some Venezuelan food I used yelp to find this little grocery looking store front called cachapas the ratings were 4 1/2 stars we where skeptical because of the neighborhood but the owner gave us VIP treatment we sat down and ordered some empanadas 1 chicken 1 steak it was GREAT! Tried to order from this location because I am starving and asked for someone who speaks English no one was available. They told me to call back and they put a women on the phone who couldn't make a simple decision about the Tequenos and wanted me to call later to speak to a manager. I called 4 times. How much longer do you want me to wait for food? The issue I had was that on Grubhub the Tequeno price was $2.25 but it did not specify how many comes for that price. If 1 Tequeno cost $2.25 that is too much. She could not answer that SIMPLE QUESTION. For example it would make sense if you would get 5 Tequenos for the price of $2.25. If the manager isn't available let your staff make SIMPLE DECISIONS such as this when your not there. Instead of making the CUSTOMER call 4 times and wait for food. read more

Random amazing venezuelan restaurant in the middle of Brooklyn. It's clean, solid menu, friendly staff and amazing food. They seem very new but serve great food. We tried the cachapa with chicken and roast pork, the savoriness of the meats complemented the sweetest of the dough. They have a plethora of amazing sauces including a delicious aioli sauce. The cachapa with venezuelan cheese was really good as well but not sure what the difference between venezuelan cheese and mozzarella is. I would definitely get the cachapa again but with meat, and they have so many options, I would come back to try the whole menu. read more
