Amazing outdoors Store! There is not much explanation needed to explain how awesome this place is. Let me sum it up.. If you need something for the outdoors go here. dun and dun.

You name and what number in line you are.

First things first, IF you are going to the gun counter, SCAN the QR code with your phone to get in line. It will take you to their queue website where it will show you where to put your name and phone number and tell you what number you are in line. There are codes/signs all over the counters. Don't get distracted by what you want, stare at it for 20 minutes, start talking to your friend, wonder what all those men are doing at the counter on the left side and skip this important detail. That being said, I'm glad I packed snacks cause it's a long wait. I checked in at around 12:30 and got to see associate Michael at around 1:45. He gave me lots of wisdom and advice that was not condescending. I was able to touch and feel the firearms that I wanted to fit in my hands and he even shared websites and aftermarket information. He was very patient and listened to my concerns respectfully. I will come back, but only when they open at 9am sharp so I won't have to watch a movie or shop around waiting to be seen. I overheard someone being put on the virtual line "you are customer number 16 so feel free to venture outside the store and when you get to be number 3, it will text you to let you know you need to be at our counter." Nice place, well worth the wait for the info given. I can imagine it's difficult to hire folks who have this much knowledge. We are retired military, so I'll be buying my next gun on post. Hooah.

First time ever visiting this place!!! An amazing shopping experience! Spent 2 hours browsing around the camping gear, fishing gear, UA apparel and caps. The store is very big, but easy to navigate around in. Has 2 floors, so you can take elevators or escalators up and down. A very organized store full of items! Bought some fishing poles, athletic wear, hats, reels, tents, and some drinks. Prices are reasonable as well. There are some animals in the middle of the store and a small aquarium with fish as well that you can see and take pics of. Enjoyable for everybody! Huge store to get happily lost in. Great inventory of items!

Purchased a weapon from the gun library, had no difficulty and was very pleased by the employee that helped me then. However on the day of pick up I was helped by Lance who was very condescending in route. It definitely showed what Cabela's customer service training is like & solidified the fact that I will not be purchasing anything further from Cabela's in the future. Would recommend you take your money and business to a store that cares about their customers & provides proper training to their employees.

Hour and a half waiting for a gun I ordered online. Yikes! 3 employees chatting, no service.

REI is a place of GOOD gear. They sell things that work. I have walked into that store many times,…read morethe scent of new fabric and rubber sharp in the air, and found what I needed to survive. The boots will take you through rain and mud and snow. They're made to take you somewhere. Somewhere rough. Somewhere real. The tents hold up in wind, but you will hear the wind whistle through the seams if the storm is strong enough, because Mother Nature will never bow to man's interventions. You pay a price for that. The press sings songs about REI like it's the holy land for outdoor men and women, and maybe that's true in parts. But you don't go there for ceremony, you go for the tools. They make good tools. You don't want to trust your life to something flimsy when you are out there, far from the roads and the towns, when your survival depends on gear. REI has it, in its clean rows, with its well-meaning salespeople, and its prices that sting a little but still make sense. It is the day-to-day, too. The jacket for the morning walk. The pack for the hike with your daughter. The water bottle that won't quit, no matter how many miles you pour through it. It holds up for the small things and the big. It holds up for life. It isn't perfect, but neither are you. Still, you trust it.

I took my 30-year-old Giant ATX 760, an entry-level hardtail mountain bike, to REI at the Olympia…read moreCapital Mall and it needed a lot of work. Considering that I hadn't had the bike serviced in 12 years, and MANY dried up parts had to be replaced, the service wasn't terribly expensive, as REI gave me discounts. I paid $500 for that bike in 1995, which amounts to about $1,100 today, and the service cost about a third of that $1,100, reasonably low-ish also because I'm a member. Now I'll transport that bike on our new Kuat Sherpa 2.0 bike carrier, also purchased earlier at this store. I'm a happy camper.

I've always felt respected. You know how some speciality shops make you feel like your crashing a party just by showing up? Underwater Sports Olympia is completely antithetical to that. He is quite knowledgeable about Mares products and helps give information to people who want to cut it as a working diver. That aside, I love this place. It is fun to just hang out. You may have to work at a conversation but once you get the staff talking they are a lot of fun. Chris, the manager, does everything he can to get you the products you want. I mean he instantly calls other shops and it's hard to have everything you would want on hand, so Chris helps with the anguish of waiting with reasonable deals and consistent updates. The staff are top knotch! Mr. Holland taught me from Advanced up to Dive Master and I had so much fun the entire time. The shop does also offer lots of FREE dives to certified divers. They also offer regulator service, but it goes up to Seattle which is not a problem at all. This place is a second home.
