Well, more than two years have passed since I made the decision to use C & L Movers to empty and move in two full containers of furniture and furnishings to my house in the Slaughter Lane neighborhood. Two years ?!?. Well, C & L arrived right on time. Me, I'm writing this review two years later. Doesn't make much sense does it? Everything about my interaction with C & L was better than I expected. From the office staff's accommodating my needs, time schedule, staffing and pricing....none of that could have gone more smoothly. The crew, as well as the management of C & L, were professional, friendly, timely, extremely careful in handling my goods. This was not an amateur crew ....definitely not their first rodeo. They were practiced in their art of moving home furnishings and created very little anxiety on my part. With one container in my driveway to be emptied and another arriving shortly, they correctly estimated the time and number of crew needed to complete the job and met the deadlines required to empty one container in time for the second unit to arrive. Frankly, at 76 I hope that I will not have to move again. But on the other hand, these guys are top-notch, and I enjoyed watching their effort to please me, their client. I had a wonderful experience with C&L Movers. They were very personable, punctual, and went above and beyond to make my moving experience so much easier. On the day of my move, they were doing a move to San Antonio and were to be at my home in early evening. Unfortunately, that move was taking longer than expected (rain, etc). Sharon and Chris both kept me updated via text as to the status of my move. I found out later that the SA move was an 87 yr old lady, and that Chris and his team were taking extra special care of her by moving her furniture around several times until she was satisfied with it's location. That says a lot to me. Who can be upset with anyone that takes extra time to help an elderly lady??? Once they arrived, they were friendly, careful with items, and fast. Chris was nice enough to volunteer to park my U-Haul/car tow dolly so that all I'd have to do the next morning is just pull straight out and go. I highly recommend C&L Movers for your next move. I have moved every single year for the past 5 years, and I have never been so happy with a moving company. They made what should have been a stressful move enjoyable. The guys were the sweetest and moved everything in one piece (I have always had something or multiple things broken!!), and Sharon (the owner) checks on you before, during, and after the move. Not only did they take care of my move, but anything that my previous movers had broken, they took the time to fix. These guys did EVERYTHING and did it with a smile. This was the best moving experience ever. Top notch customer service! From the moment Sharon answered the phone I knew this wasn't your basic moving company. She took the time to hear out my frustrations of being a single mom in the summer time with my kids not being in school. With that in mind she assured me that they would work around my schedule. What a blessing! When the movers arrived I got to meet the Supervisor who stayed on site the entire time. I needed a mover on about a week's notice, was referred to Sharon who was great. This was at the end of July so they were already pretty booked, but Sharon was more than willing to find a way to squeeze me in, since it's not uncommon for moving crews finish jobs in less time than they allot. Any communication/scheduling I had to do was calling/texting/emailing Sharon who is helpful and responsive, so that made my life easy. The guys who moved my stuff were professional, friendly, and timely. I had a decent amount of furniture for them and we got the entire job done in 1 hour (my new place was only ten minutes away). I was looking for someone to help me load some furniture and odds and ends onto a trailer I rented. Someone suggested C&L movers, so I called them and told them what I needed done and I needed someone to help me. The lady told me they would need to send two men because of insurance issues. I ask for a price, I couldn't believe it was just a little more than what I expected to pay for one helper. On the day of the move they call early and ask if they could come over I agree and they arrived a half hour before the original start time. C&L Movers went above and beyond to help with our move. The night before the move the POD couldn't be delivered to our new home because of trees and we had to deliver the POD to a friend's house. I called Sharon at C&L movers late that night thinking that we would need to rent a truck for the next day and then reschedule for more time. Not only did Sharon allow us more time, they provided the moving truck!!! They were there earlier than scheduled and were very professional and efficient. Wow, can not tell you how impressed I was with this company. Sharon, the owner was so nice and quickly got me a quote ( very reasonable amount and less than the other two companies I got quotes from) and got me set up for the move in no time at all ! I had a wonderful experience with C&L movers. I moved a year ago with a different company and it was totally different. It was way more expensive to move less stuff a shorter distance. They scammed me at the last minute. Your guys were badass, professional and got it done. It's such a relief to have this past me in a timely manner at a fair cost. Family owned and run. They brought others over to get it done quicker. At one point there was 6 guys! I paid roughly 60% of what the others guys charged me a year ago and it was done quicker and with greater care. When I went searching for someone to remove items from my home as I prepped to move into a new home, C & L movers came into my LIFE and they ended up providing both services for me. I was reaching out to movers to try and arrange a quick cross-town move, and Sharon at C&L got back to me immediately, and was incredibly quick to respond to subsequent questions. They were able to schedule me in on short notice that same week, and offered a competitive rate. The day of the move Josh, Justin, and Alex arrived on time, and were courteous, professional, and adapted well to my not-quite-fully packed situation. I have used c&l twice both times great service. First one I was moving from south austin to north austin (can you imagine the commute time with traffic) they still managed to keep it in allotted time and nothing was broken! Second time Sharon was able to get me scheduled at a last minute notice (4 days before I moved) they were prompt in allotted time, nothing damaged or broken. You moved my mom a day ago and I was blown away. Best experience I've ever had with movers. The guys moved my elderly mom and uncle. They were so fast and careful, but the most amazing part was how kind, thoughtful and respectful they were. They made sure they always had a comfortable place to sit, that their belongings were all placed exactly where my family wanted them and showed so much respect to them. I scheduled C&L movers in June 2017 for an apartment to apartment move. Three men showed up ready to work! Devin, Craig and Jeff (the crew leader) were the best guys I could ask for! They were gentle with all of my things. It was a hot day and they never once complained about the heat or moving my things. They were very professional and I will definitely use them again if I move in-city again. They are also reasonably priced, no outrageous costs or hidden fees. C&L Movers have been so accommodating with my move! I am also working with PODS who give a 3 hour timeframe for drop off and pick up and Sharon and her crew have worked around the pods schedule to get everything unloaded. The guys are great too and very gentle with my furniture. If you are looking for a moving company who is attentive, timely and accommodating then this company will be perfect for you! We used C&L Movers to move our mother from an apartment in Renaissance to Assisted Living in the same facility. They were always polite, responded quickly to our request for information. On the day of the move they were at my Mom's apartment before my sister made it there. They worked quickly, and totally respected her stuff.
