Movers that took me into my previous place took half the time which is half the cost when moving. This one bedroom move took 8 hours. Movers scuffed up walls and didn't much care about property. Took them the first hour to get one couch loaded. I should have went with my previous company. Still unpacking...How do you break an inch think solid wood desk ! And scratches all over the desk! Unfortunately the yelp reviews for this business failed me. I found and chose this moving company off of yelp because it had fairly good reviews and looked like it was local. The owner Jose was very nice on the phone when we spoke to him he assured us that he had insurance to cover any damaged items. Ryan and Odi were the ones that moved our stuff. We moved with them in November and unfortunately a brand new dresser (we got the dresser in September and had never used it- it still was in its original box) was damaged. They took the dresser with them and said they would try to fix it. They said that if they couldn't fix it - they would replace the dresser. They took the dresser for almost 2 weeks and stopped responding to my texts. For awhile we thought that they stole it. Eventually they did respond to us and returned the dresser, however it was still broken. When we asked to have the dresser replaced or to be compensated back for it - they completely ghosted us. They no longer answer any of the texts or phone calls from us and have just disappeared. We are currently in the process of trying to decide what to do because we have a broken dresser. I attached the 'before' and 'after' pictures to this review. The pictures look exactly the same because they really didn't do much to fix anything. I was most upset about the fact they just stopped responding after breaking our dresser. I think it shows that this business is not reliable and does not take responsibility for anything they do or care about their customers. I am surprised that they have good reviews. I want to also point out that this was just a standard dresser from Living Spaces. If this moving company has difficulty with moving a standard dresser, I don't know how they would move any other type of delicate furniture like a piano or anything else. I would NOT trust your furniture to be safe with this company. I would NEVER suggest this moving company to anyone in the future and I do not know why their reviews are so good when they treated us so badly and became totally unresponsive. When these guys say don't move without us, they give you some great reasons why. Not only did they disassemble everything in record time, they also helped move some of the furniture that needed to stay(for staging purposes). I hire contractors all the time and it's extremely rare for them to be punctual, professional, and so careful. We had zero dings against our walls, zero issues with moving things, and zero complaints. This company knows what they are doing, properly equipped with all the tools you could need during a move. We had a really great experience with Antz Movers. They were the cheapest in the area for North Austin and they went way above and beyond other movers I've used. For 3 guys for a 2 bedroom move in a 2nd floor apartment, it was a $50 deposit that went toward our final bill, and then $360 for 2 hrs minimum and $140/hr every hour after. We did run into a hiccup at first -- Luis had booked us for a Saturday, but our appointment date had gotten lost in the shuffle of things. When I talked to Jose on that Saturday and showed him the proof of deposit, he apologized profusely and promised to make it right. As someone who has used two other moving companies in the past 5 years, I know that Jose went above and beyond to make it right. He brought 6 of his guys (himself included) at 9 am the next morning, a Sunday, for the move out, and he didn't charge us for the first hour of work, nor for the additional 3 guys. Then for the move-in, they pared down to 3 movers, Jose included. They were done in under 4 hours and the final bill, including deposit, ended up being $500 total before tip (which they absolutely deserved). Jose and I talked during the move and he said he's been running his own business since 2006, so he didn't want to mar his reputation and he wanted to make things right since they had dropped the ball. You can tell a lot about a person in how they respond through high-stress situations and misunderstandings, and for that Jose absolutely made up for the situation and more. I reached out to Antz through their online web inquiry form at the beginning of the month, to see if they were available for a Saturday move in three weeks. I received an email back from them saying they were. I followed up the next day via email, saying that we would like to book them and how to go about remitting payment/securing the reservation. From there, radio silence for ten days. I followed up again via email within the ten days. I followed up for a third time over phone and email with no answer. I then received a very short, curt email back, saying they were no longer available. That email occurred a little over a week before they were scheduled to come. I'm sure Antz has a lucrative business in Austin, especially in the summer when so many folks are moving in and out of the city. However, I do not think that excuses the lack of response and last-minute cancellation on their end. It is clear that they either 1. Did not care enough to respond to communications regarding a reservation they said they were available for, or 2. Are over-booking/over-lapping bookings. They back tracked on their availability and left us high and dry, scrambling to find another mover with a week to go. It seems like a lot of folks have great experiences with Antz, but I was not one of them. Very bad business practice to be non-responsive to communication and cancel for no discernible reason at the last minute. read more

I used them to move me into a 3rd floor apartment (with an elevator). They showed up on time wirh a huge trailer, were polite and efficient and I had no damages. What I liked about them compared to other movers I used, is they provided more efficient moving tools to make it easier on the guys. They had a huge canvas, 4 wheel enclosed carrier to haul multiple items in one trip. Smart! That way the guys aren't carrying one or two items at a time, getting exhausted. They put some pretty serious scratches on the top of my $3000.00 Samsung Refrigerator. Unfortunately, I was hardly home to notice the damage right away. (Between cleaning old old house, working two jobs & working out of town). When I told them about the damage, Jose had me send pictures from a different angle. Then he told me the damage was already there. He also told me since I didn't notice the damage immediately, there was nothing he could do about it. They were 4 hours late. They were scheduled to arrive at 1:00, but did not get there until 5:00pm . They were tired & it was late, and several items thrown out in a very unorganized way & hardly anything was put where I asked. A couple parts to my items were also left at the old house. This 'business' is a joke. I set up a move a month in advance practically. Day of the move I spoke with someone to make sure we were still set for the move. They mentioned the guys were finishing up a move early and asked if they could come early. I said yes. 1.5 hours went by. No word. I called 7 times, no response. I texted 3 times and no response. Someone finally called back and said they were on the way. I asked for compensation due to lack of communication and lack of professionalism they declined and I cancelled the move. Highly efficient and professional crew! We we're in a bind as a previous moving company we had hired for a local move no showed on the 3rd day. We were left scrambling to find someone who could finish the job and do it in on a Sunday, no less. Jose and his crew were on time, wearing masks (you'd think this was the norm these days, not according to our experience with the previous no-show company!!!) and ready to go. They packed everything diligently, quietly and without any incidents. They didn't leave any trash behind either. I can't say enough about Jose, Luis, and their team! When I reached out for a quote, Luis was responsive quickly. Then, Jose came to our place to give an estimate. He was very friendly and easy to deal with. He gave us a great all-inclusive quote. I spent a lot of time calling various companies to ask for quotes for our out-of-state move. They all quoted at least double the cost of Antz Movers with at least a two-week minimum delivery window. On the day of the move, his team was incredible. They packed everything neatly. They were professional, nice, and fast. They loaded a truck that Jose himself drove all the way to New York in only three days. At the arrival, we had a local team to unload the truck due to local rules. But even if it was not part of the quote, Jose and his wonderful wife helped unpack. They went above and beyond. When we unpacked, we found out that nothing had broken or been damaged. Just incredible for such a long-distance move. These people are the best that there is out there for moving. We were a bit disappointed that the owner Jose was not with the crew given that his website touts his presence on all of the jobs. That being said, the team did a decent job, taking the time to carefully wrap most of our goods and load/unload them with care. The two leads were friendly, highly capable, and professional. They kept a watchful eye over the younger crew member who seemed pretty inexperienced, but was earnest as he learned the ropes. These guys moved a neighbor of mine and backed a trailer into my truck bumper. Tried to deny any damage, but there were three witnesses. Then didn't want to file an insurance claim, but wanted me to have a friend of theirs fix my truck. They never called me back. I had to keep contacting them. In the end, I gave up trying because it was such and uphill battle. And big surprise, they never called me to follow up! The damage wasn't major, but they didn't give a crap about taking care of me.
