I had scheduled to have about 75 boxes moved to storage. Jackson came out about two weeks ago to give a quote. Set up a time of December 23rd @10am. I got a text from him the evening before to change pick up time to 8am. I said 9am would be better. One of his employees called next morning at 9:30am stating they were trying to get a driver. I waited two hours called back and never got an answer. I was also texting Jackson and no response from him either. So I cancelled after two hours of no response. I will never contact this company again. read more

So where to start. The pictures here speak for themselves. So they only loaded the truck, I drove it across country and on the other side the unloaders could not believe how poorly it was loaded. Something as simple as stacking carboard boxes on top of heavy duty bins was missed. (see photos) They put my $60 target stools upside down so the legs were facing upwards and then put my chairs upholstery side down on those legs... they did this for BOTH of my living room chairs... (see photo) They HAD TRIED to put a mini fridge full on the inside on top of a crate and barrel wooden console with tiny thin legs. I made them NOT do that - much to their chagrin - while they walked all over it inside the truck. They ruined approximately $2000 worth of furniture. All in all - I lost more in damages than the loading even cost, got no help afterwards and I am lucky that I escaped with the damage I had - it could have easily been 2x-3x the amount had I let them stack the fridge on top of the other stuff. They completely no-showed for my packing appointment the day before my moving date. I called multiple times, emailed and asked movers my friend was using with them the same day for an update and only after my friends movers were able to get in touch with management did they realize their mistake. No one ever called me from management to acknowledge this or offer any concessions. As a result I ended up having to hurriedly pack my belongings the day before my move by myself. What was supposed to be a stress free move was immediately much more stressful. I've given them 2 stars because my actual day-of movers were wonderful (on time, communicative and quick) but this could have been a MUCH bigger issue and I'm still shocked they just have let it slide. read more

I am having the worst experience with this company. I didnt contract with them, they were a subcontract through long haul movers. through many conversations with all parties I had my deadline to receive my stuff as Oct 8th, no one ever said that wasnt possible and took my money freely. the initial quote was doubled when the movers arrived, its the 22nd and i still do not have my stuff. I keep getting the run around from customer service. "Your stuff is in the truck and they are making other deliveries." I have airtags in some of my pieces and my stuff has been sitting in a ware house in dallas since the 15th! I am paying for an apt i cant live in because I have nothing. The pics they send showing the scanned my stuff to transport from Illinois already show damage to some of my items. I do NOT recommend. You will get no help, no stuff, and you will pay way more then you thought. I usually move myself but i thought I would give myself a break this time. Never ever again. Be ware! I used Jackson moving on 5/6 for a move from Austin to Houston which resulted in some damages to my belongings. I've used Jackson before so I was fairly disappointed with the experience this time. The crew was late starting the job. They seemed to make up the time and the truck was loaded fast until we got to the refrigerator. They didn't have the right tools and so we had to sit and wait for 30 minutes. The crew arrived at the Houston property at approximately 5:30pm and did not finish until approximately 10:30pm. During unloading, several issues occurred. First, I was told that none of my appliances could be moved in. I said that was unacceptable and inquired why they couldn't take the door off. I was told that they couldn't figure out how to take it off. They had been trying and had removed some pieces of the door but weren't able to figure it out. My sister inspected and noted that they basically had damaged the door and stripped the screws for no reason. They should have removed it from the other side and she helped them remove it. Second, I was told that they were unable to move the refrigerator in because they couldn't figure out how to get the doors off. Again, my sister got on the truck and showed them how to remove the doors. It took the crew 2 hours to remove the doors and put them back on. There are pieces of the door and refrigerator that were just laying on the floor after they left. The middle drawer of the refrigerator no longer works. The door frame is damaged. Third, I'm not sure why, But all of the furniture was unwrapped on the truck so most was scratched and ripped bringing in inside. Fourth and final, no boxes were taken upstairs. My sister and I had to help move boxes off the truck and had to take them upsatairs. At this point, I'm wondering why I even hired movers when I had to do a great deal of the moving myself. I've attached pictures of the damages. I contacted the owner who was condescending and rude. He offered 0.60$ per pound of what was damaged. $50 on a 500 pound refrigerator isn't going to pay for a fraction of the cost. read more

Worst moving company I've ever encountered. CROOKS!!! original estimate was $3,500. They increased charges to more than $6,000 and took more than 20 days to deliver. Absolute SCAM artists. Don't use them as they are LIARS and THIEVES. We are in our 70s so this is clear ELDER ABUSE. I will file complaint with DOT and attorneys general in Texas and Nevada. Horrible company!!! read more

TLDR: Easily the best moving experience I've ever had. Milton and his crew handled a move involving multiple stories and items without inflicting so much as a scratch on anything! I can't say enough good things about Jackson's, and a BIG thank-you to all the Yelpers on here for turning me on to them. Milton and company were pros, obviously they knew how to handle even the heaviest items and came in on time and budget for us. On top of that, his team looked like they were having fun! How is that even possible when moving furniture in 100 degree heat??? My guess is that they have freaky furniture moving super-powers given to them by the Sorceress Supreme or radioactive spider bites. If at all possible, I'm using Jackson's again the next time I move. On 30 April I messages Jackson's Moving and Delivery to see if they had availability for 1 May. Being last minute, I thought they wouldn't but they did. The afternoon of 1 May, Ray and Milton arrive to help unload a Uhaul. Ray and Milton unloaded the Uhaul like there was no tomorrow! Not only did they unload the vehicle and go up three flights of stairs, but they also put the appliances and furniture in the rooms that they belong in. I completely forgot to leave a review for this company (even though they moved us a year ago.) Was just talking to a friend about their movers and my husband started talking about the HORRIBLE experience we had with these guys when we moved in November 2019 from Hutto to Round Rock. We've used them twice. The first time, absolutely great. The owner was actually there to help move us. This was January 2019, we moved from North Austin to Hutto, I was pregnant and we lived in a second floor apartment. Service was fantastic, owner was super friendly and we were thoroughly impressed with him. This is why we used them a second time. The second time was absolute trash. We had 3 dudes, that wanted to complain about having to move a sleeper sofa upstairs. We are renters and they chipped our wall on the staircase. They complained about it THE ENTIRE TIME they were moving it. I was a new mom with a 4 months old I was attending to so I was super sensitive about everything and just cowered away. I also had a 4moms Mamaroo swing that they broke. My son wasnt using it anymore, but I wanted to give that to a friend. We had another friend look at it for us and he said one of the circuit boards was cracked so we had to throw it away. Do you know how much those things are?! The worst part was, I felt obligated to tip them $100 because they made me feel bad about moving so many things into our new rental property. read more

So disappointed! I have used this company twice before and had a very different experience this time around. They broke the one box which contained my most fragile items including one very sentimental piece that is irreplaceable. They assured me that they would be filing a claim with their insurance company and I would be reimbursed for the damaged items within a week. I was too trusting and paid the moving fee + tip. They also charged me for the time it took them to sort through the damaged items and take photos. Apparently this was all for show. Based on my experience I would not recommend this company for moves. Took them 7 hours to complete a 1 bedroom apartment move 10 miles and in the process, they damaged several items including damage to my old apartment (luckily not being charged for that). Let me start with David, we booked for a move on Feb 15th originally two weeks in advance. The storm hit, I think catching most of us off guard and postponing our move. David, who manages the office and books the jobs did a fantastic job staying in contact with us and working with us to ensure the safety of my family as well as his team. The driveway to our complex was up a steep hill and covered in ice. We were able to reschedule for a move on Monday February 22nd with an early start time. Mojo and Emeka called about 15-20 minutes before arriving and took the instructions well to get to our hard to find apartment unit. They took a brief walk around the unit and decided a plan of attack. Then the clock started. While the move took longer than I had originally expected both of these guys worked hard the entire time. No breaks. No milking the clock. The only two breaks they took were once on the way to deliver when they stopped to pick up rehydration beverages, which they asked for permission to do first and did not charge us for, and the second time was when we offered them food and beverages while unloading. There was minimal/no damage to our property when all was said and done. There were a few marks made in the very narrow stairwell, which the owner promptly came out the next day and cleaned up himself. No knicks, divots, or scratches to any of the walls in our old apartment or the brand new built home we moved into. Before I continue I just want to give every customer a heads up, you can safe yourself and your movers a lot of time by prearranging everything before hand. Take apart beds, take apart sectionals, disconnect washers, dryers, and refrigerators. Anything you can do to make their job as simple as picking up the items and moving it into the truck. The prices they offered across the board by companies in Austin was higher than when I managed a moving company in Austin 13 years ago and even with that being said Jackson was the lowest bid I received and not to mention, their phone lines were never busy and communication was very easy. At the end of the day I was very pleased with the service from EVERYONE in the Jackson's Moving organization and will absolutely use them again in the future. I have moved several times over the years and have had horrible experiences with movers and owners alike. So when Jackson's moving was running behind, I panicked. I was afraid they were going to be a no show and I had no plan B. I called the owner and left a message. Immediately after that, I received a called from the movers letting me know they were having mechanical problems with their truck and they had to swap it for another. Phew! After this they worked hard. James, Jonathan, and Marquise worked non stop and without breaking my stuff. I was very impressed at how strong they were and their technique since they were not huge. I did save money with 3 guys but it also helped that I moved some of the boxes on my own. Regardless, they are hard workers and very polite. I would recommend them to anyone looking to hire someone....but book with time because they are very busy. I would only ask the movers if they are running behind to let us know so we don't go on panic mode lol. read more

I recently moved from North Austin to Round Rock. I picked Jackson's based on the reviews on Yelp. I was highly impressed with the two movers they sent to move me. They were very fast but gentle with my furniture, and they were accommodating when it came time to set up the master bed frame. Summary: 1. I had no unpleasant surprises; 2. The person texting me from Jackson's updated me several times, especially when the movers were going to be at my home toward the end of the start window. 3. The movers who worked with me were very friendly, professional, and willing to go the extra step to make sure I was happy. 4. I was very impressed with the final cost. Although they billed by the hour and mileage, they worked so fast they probably saved 1 1/2 hours of cost. You should ask for them by name because they can lift your things, not break them, and place them in your new residence without a scratch, a peep, or a complaint about how much stuff you have. Absolutely terrible. DO NOT HIRE Jackson's Moving. During our move, they either stole or lost over $7,000 worth of jewelry and instead of reimbursing us, they offered to pay us $2 for our loss. Ridiculous. The movers specifically told us that we should not remove anything from our drawers since they would wrap everything at the truck - but they never did. They carried our uncovered mattresses on their sweating heads and we were appalled when they arrived at our delivery location with our drawers sliding in and out as they carried our dresser up the stairs. I contacted the movers immediately after going through all of our drawers to locate any missing items, and we updated them whenever we found any missing items. Their lack of responsiveness and refusal to reimburse us for our loss force us to conclude that they stole our property. We are now compelled to file our own insurance claims and sue Jackson's Moving for stolen property. This should not happen with a moving company. I cannot recommend them enough. Hiring movers can be so scary, everyone wants to tell you their horror story. I have been extremely lucky in all my moves and if I ever had to move again Jackson would be my first call. Extremely professional, very friendly, I loved chatting with the main mover and loved how sweet the whole team was. They were also very fast and went above and beyond. And VERY affordable. In general, don't fall for u-haul or other self-movers, they are typically more expensive (with so many hidden fees and gas) and way more of a headache than pro movers. So, seriously, hire Jackson's Moving, your friends will thank you for not making them help you. read more

I'm going to begin with they came almost 4 hours late from their first proposed time and 2 hours after the agreed upon window of 12-5p. BUT, this company deserves all the 5 stars that people give them. The reason for that is because regardless of their late arrival, the two movers came in, gave us a quote of 2-3 hours, got it done in 2 hours flat with no damages or hassle. They did discuss the reason why they were late and I won't post the reason here but if you ever do decide on Jackson's, know they will get the job done and do it well. The reason why I chose Jackson's was because I saw their location as to being super close to where I live. Then I saw their rate compared to other companies. It was $95/hr for two movers with a $35 one time fee and totaled to $225. They take card but there is a 3% convenience fee (That's about $8 from$225), check or cash. I did most of the packing of boxes and taking apart furniture which really helps them do their job as well. Quick and painless. The highlight was my couch. Super huge couch in a one bedroom that was initially in pieces that I put together and didn't want to take apart for the move. But they got the job done and shimmied it through the door one going high and the other low. I definitely would recommend going with Jackson's but definitely plan ahead. They're a small business running out of a house at the moment but the time they grow their business to an office and maybe more, they'll be rocking it all over the Austin area. Cheers! read more

Thought I had already reviewed this experience but looks like I didn't hit submit: Had these guys come out pick up a washer, dryer and Webber grill from one house and deliver to our other house. They did it quick and painlessly and everything was delivered with no issues or damage. We really appreciate the customer service we got from the crew, my mother liked them so much she made them some breakfast tacos. We will definitely be using them again! read more

David, who handles scheduling was very responsive, and helpful in helping me sort the problem out, and easing my stress.The team moved my belongings into storage. On Sunday 2/27/22, Mike, Peter, and McKay were absolute legends, packing an entire house into a long truck, making a small side jaunt to unload/load various items, and then unloading all into a storage facility. I found Jackson's Moving and Delivery while coordinating a move from one apartment to another apartment. I booked my date a couple months prior to my move and the owner immediately responded, asked relevant questions, and confirmed my day/time. That brings us to today! I was only expecting two movers but I got three! Awesome, the more the merrier :) They were able to clear out my ENTIRE apartment AND move me into my new apartment in 2.5 hours TOTAL. They were friendly, efficient, and did everything they could to ensure my belongings wouldn't get damaged. SO impressed! Best moving experience ever.
