As you can see in my photo - I wanted to give this company a positive review and gave the owner several opportunities to make things right. Getting the appointment set was incredibly easy and convenient, the owner was very responsive and I was appreciative of their ability to work with my schedule. They broke an expensive lamp and their crew didn't seem to care at all. They left random items behind and didn't care for my items when moving. It took much less than their two hour minimum but I still paid the two hour minimum. There's tons of movers out there - use another one. Unfortunately these guys are great until the actual job itself, in my experience. read more

I will start by saying that I would have loved to have given this business five stars. The reasons for five stars would be that the movers were on time, friendly, professional, polite, and I would use this company again no questions asked. One of the best moving companies I have ever used. The movers I had were Franklin and Durrell, both excellent! I can't say enough positive things about that team. My reason for the four star rating: Don't give them a time in which you would like to be done. They seem to rush. Rushing them led to a table broken and a dresser with severe scratches that weren't there before. As I stated before, would definitely use the company again, but the pictures shown will show my hesitation for giving five stars. Just make sure you over budget if you want your items taken care of. The items that they moved properly, i.e. shrink wrap, moving blankets were transported flawlessly, other items not so much. read more

This was the easiest moving experience I've ever had. Scheduling with the office was as simple as setting up an inquiry on yelp. I heard from 10 vendors but Blue Beaver was amongst the first. They shared their rate and asked some relevant questions to the move. We had a brief conversation, they gave me the rate, arrival window, expected truck, number of team members and just like that I was all setup for the next business day at noon. The agile work force that showed up was professional, punctual, helpful, and highly skilled. Daniel, Durrell, and Eric did a fantastic job. They moved with pace, were conversational, and all the whole remained focused on getting the job done right. One of the items I had to move was a rot iron welding table which 8-9 other companies refused to move. These guys made light work of it. I can't say enough about these three. Moving is very stressful and these guys are pros. My wife and I used to go with another moving company but she found BB movers and we have been loyal customers ever since. Update: Derik has gone out of his way to make everything right with our furniture, going so far as to have a professional furniture look at our furniture and restore anything damaged. Even though I rated them 4/5 stars, I would still highly recommend these guys. Great after-the-sale customer service. Overall did a good job but some mistakes were definitely made. We had a 20x10 storage unit with everything we owned and hired Blue Beaver to move us to our new house. They sent three guys in a 26' truck who quickly went to work. They wrapped all of our dressers in blankets to pack them which worked well. I wish they would have done the same with our wooden bed frames and coffee tables because after everything was completed we found all of those pieces came out with some considerable/noticeable scratches and scuffs. After the truck was packed and we were leaving the storage place we almost had a disaster. I gave the movers my address in Pf so they could meet me at the house and I was stopping at the office to officially check out of our storage unit. While I was in the storage office I looked up and did a double-take as I saw the truck pulling out and onto Manchaca with the back of the truck still fully open and all of my belongings in peril. I frantically pulled out my phone and called the mover and told him the back door was still open. They were able to stop and get it closed without incident but holy moly it was close to a lot of damage if I hadn't stopped at the storage office or looked up to see the open door, as that truck was ultimately en route to I-35. Overall they were very courteous and did a pretty good job. I'd like to rate them higher, however, our spare bedroom footboard has a significant area that is scuffed and we're having to buy a new coffee table as it is scuffed pretty bad across the entire top, and the open door can't really be ignored. read more

We're really glad we used Blue Beaver for our move! We had to plan our move on short notice, so contacted them the day before and Derik was on the ball & got us scheduled right away at the time we wanted the next morning. We checked out a couple other movers & Blue Beaver's rates were definitely competitive. The night before the move we realized there was no way we were going to get the house packed in time and when I called Derik pretty late the night before he said no problem, they could help pack, same hourly rate. HUGE relief. Moving day they were communicative, on-time, friendly with us & very engaged. They worked fluidly with my wife & I as we were boxing up our possessions, treated our stuff with care, wrapped the furniture thoroughly before moving it, and when we were ready to collapse they took over & did a thorough job of finishing up the house & loading the truck. These guys are my heroes. My husband and I initially scheduled a move with a competitor that, come moving day, decided not to show up. I was absolutely livid and completely stressed out because we had to get moved out that particular weekend. After I gave the other company a piece of my mind, I called Blue Beaver Movers. I spoke with Derik and, as luck would have it, they were able to squeeze us in the next day. Their rate was on par with other quotes I had received from other companies weeks ago, but because it was last minute we did pay an extra $160 for a rental truck. It was explained to me up front that Derik had a 3 man team but his fleet of trucks had already been allocated for others moves that day. I was completely fine with that. Fast forward to the very next day: Derik, Durrell, and Eric showed up exactly when they said they would and got us moved from a 1650sq ft home in Austin to a 2400sq ft home in Round Rock in under 4 hours. They were lightning fast but very careful with all of our belongings. That takes a motivated, honest, and experienced team. They were also very personable throughout the whole process, which really helped distract my mind from the stress of moving. I can't recommend these guys enough.
