Saw the great reviews so I went in today frantic because my computer of 4 years was freezing at a particular screen and I had many school assignments saved in it....the Asian guy was nice but he said 200 to fix it and he said that was my price(so he charges more for other people) ....and for data recovery that was more $$...so I said no that sounds like too much and went over to computer doctor and BANG in 4 hours they told me it was a motherboard problem and I will just need to get a new computer because it will cost more that what I paid for it.....diagnostic was FREE!! Unlike others, he is quick to response to texts and took the time to explain the process and I felt at ease right away. Basically, my hard disc crashed and Noel was able to recover the data w/o any issues. He even went to Staples to buy for me an external hard drive big enough to hold the recovered data (an extra trip that he saved me). He educated me about the important of backing up data (even have a 2nd backup) and recommended the use of surge protector to help protect my electronics in case of a power surge. I found this place through Yelp and was skeptical at first because of the tiny cramped space it was located at (the elevator didn't even work!). There was no sign that said it was BYOD, but was assured it was the right location because of the moment I asked the worker, Noel, he said I have come to the right place. Noel definitely took care of me, he guided me through which pieces he had to fix and even pointed out that there were a piece missing inside my phone. Noel is amazing! I noticed my computer started acting weird after I "safely" ejected a USB device. I got a message that restricted me from opening my Control Panel, Documents, etc. I later opened a file from my desktop and it worked! And then after exiting that window, I tried to open it again and my computer restricted me. I figured it was a virus slowly painting me into a corner. I tried to run multiple scans to remove it. One took all night ... and didn't work. The next morning, I called Noel at opening hour and he told me to bring it in. I met him in an hour and he said he would take everything off my computer, scan it for threats and then put it back on my computer with a brand new windows 7. I had to leave my computer overnight but it worked! My computer is back to normal and he also advised me on replacing the cooling gel to help my computer not heat up as much.
