I always come here before work and get breakfast to go to eat in the car since I'm always early. I have always gone to the location in spring branch until I discovered this location recently last few months. Food is always great but it seem as they do not have enough people working for a breakfast place. I almost always have to stand in line for 10 minutes because there is ONLY 2 people working. One will make the food I guess in the back and the other one makes the coffee so the line gets really long because NO ONE is getting waited on to take an ordered. As we speak now, I'm waiting on my order and there are 5 people in line. For a breakfast place I don't know if they don't expect it to be busy but I might have to stop coming here before work. But definitely need more than just 2 people working in the mornings. Everything is good except the service is very very slow. Like there is no sense of urgency. Just now left for an avocado bacon croissant that took almost 30 mins, now I don't even have time to eat this. read more

Got breakfast. Two eggs over easy, ham, and bacon. Brought my dog and ordered him a la cart grilled chicken. Eggs had no flavor and the white was runny, (like having snot in your eggs) the ham was some gross cheap sandwich slices that should have been on a ham sandwich, and the bacon was too salty to eat. Ordered a coffee with my breakfast and two sips in was light headed and shaking. Needless to say, my pup finished my plate for me and I tipped small since I had to go to the bar twice to get service. I read all the glowing reviews on this restaurant and decided I wanted to give them a try. Unfortunately, after my server greeted me and brought me a glass of water, she never came back to take my order. I saw everyone around me receiving delicious looking food but still no one came. After a while I decided that was long enough and left. I did tell the hostess on my way out the door. I am always amazed that owners/managers don't make a loop through their restaurants every 15 minutes to make sure that people are being served at the least. I ordered delivery from this place and was disappointed. I ordered from here before and it was much better. The avocado bacon croissant was dry and flavorless (keep in mind they didn't add the sauce as it was supposed to be). Sweet potato fries were as well as was the lamb. What was really disappointing was I ordered brussel sprouts and bacon that is on their menu and instead of letting me know and canceling the order, they gave me asparagus and bacon. I am not one that writes reviews--especially negative ones, but the experience this afternoon warrants a zero star review and others to know about it. My son and I gave Buzz & Bites a try after baseball practice. He and I are allergic to dairy and I'm vegan. It does make eating out challenging. While I do not expect all places to meet our needs, I did check the menu before we arrived. The menu offers an "All Vegan Panini." When we ordered my son's food, I ask the server to check the bread for dairy. She came back and said it did have milk and subbed an item for the toast. At which time, I asked her to check the Vegan sandwich bread. The manager came over and said it does have milk. So, the bread for the "ALL VEGAN" sandwich makes the dish anything but vegan. He told me they had a gluten-free option to sub. Great! I then said, "Most gluten free breads have egg. Does your have egg?" "Yes, it does." Again, NOT VEGAN! Do we need training on what vegan means? If you are offering a vegan item, perhaps the staff should know--right? The manager shrugged his shoulders to my response, which was "You are selling something that can make someone who is allergic to dairy sick. Or someone who is allergic to egg, sick while you falsely advertise it as vegan. Dear Buzz & Bites Owner, train the staff! What a terrible response--shrugging your shoulders! I was kind the entire time. I wasn't rude. I didn't have an attitude. As I stated, eating out is a challenge. We are prepared for it to take time. But, this is absurd! From there, I had to ask for a menu. It took over five minutes for a menu to be brought back to the table. The manager dropped it on the table like he was annoyed. Give me a break. He doesn't deserve a job. From there, I had two choices: a salad or try to make the tacos work. I ordered the tacos. My son's food came out first. He was almost finished eating before my food came. They brought the "NON-VEGAN" sandwich to the table first. I sent it away. All of that and no one lets the kitchen know that the sandwhich shouldn't be dropped on the table? Out came the tacos. They were dry and had no favor whatsoever. Five minutes after bringing the tacos to the table a food runner came out and brought a small plastic cup of "something." I asked her what it was. She said, "I have no idea." Again, TRAIN YOUR EMPLOYEES! I grew up in the restaurant business--my father owned mutiple restaurants and a food distribution company. These people are the success of your business. Not a single one of them knew what was in the food. NOT A SINGLE ONE FOR THEM! The manager dropped the menu on the table like it was a bother. The waitress was kind. She has only been there for a month and was annoyed that she was dealing with something like this from the company. ZERO STARS! If you have allergies, stay away. If you are vegan, stay away! If you have already eaten there, guess what, they falsely advertised their food as vegan. What a waste of time! Never again. Do better! Your customers matter. read more

The food was simple and delicious expect fresh baked breads and typical breakfast meals. They have a large selection of baked goods and a variety of drinks. So if you are looking for a different brunch spot check this place out. There are no bottomless drink specials at this time but who knows maybe one day: the service was okay. It took them some time to check on us and ensure we were ready to order. But everything came out quick and accurate so it's not a long weight. read more

I have been here for brunch on a Sunday and working from my laptop on a random weekday. The ambiance is different on both days. It's more restaurant service on the weekends and local coffee shop during the week. I really like this set up. On the weekday the ambiance is not too loud and not too quiet to work out of. If you need a more quiet spot, you can use the booths towards the back of the shop. I really like their Lavender latte. It's not too sweet and the lavender flavor is not too overpowering like other places. The service is quick and prompt. We had the club sandwich and one of the chicken mozzarella paninis. Both are really good and exceeded expectations. Definitely worth a visit if you haven't been yet. read more

The service is absolutely HORRIBLE. The employees had poor customer service. They were mechanical and never smiled. When we walked in and stood at the counter to order, the employees never acknowledged us. We had to o ask for someone to take our order. After we sat ourselves down we waited for quite awhile. The food was served, but our drinks were never served. When I inquired about our drinks I was told "they lost your ticket." The food was average. We had to ask for condiments. The employees here just don't appear to be happy and it definitely reflects in their awful customer service. I asked for a refund in one of the drinks and the other was taken to go. I usually don't post reviews but here I go. This was my first time going to Buzz & Bites! I was super excited to try out their food and check them out. Since it was so close to me I hoped that it will be my new "go-to" spot. Unfortunately, I was very wrong. The food was mid (at best). The bacon came out tough, hard and flavorless. The eggs were ok, and the croissants were just soggy. The best part of the "food" was the avocado inside the croissant. The avocado itself earned them the one point out of five. The service was just awful. I was blown away by how disorganized, unwelcoming and unkind the staff were. I was a waitress for a long time so I had my fair share in the food industry and I know how hard it is to be one. Therefore, I try to cut everyone some slack and understand. But wow. This place didn't seem like they cared at all. We were seated by the hosts and we waited 15-20 minutes for someone to come and take our order. We waited for a bit because I thought there were not enough staff so we wanted to be patient. Since no one came to give us water, or take our order, I went up to the "bar" area to order. Tell me why there was about five/six people behind the bar areas just looking around/doing nothing... Anyways, they took our order. After waiting for some time again, I just went up to physically pour water for us, get our napkins, and dishes because we were thirsty as heck. I wasn't sure if it's a "do it youself" so I had no problem. But tell me why, the tables around us had someone wait on them?? Every table except us. Also, one of the waitress took 30 minutes to chit chat with her friend while we needed service..?? Like come on, you're at work!! If I could, I would've given zero stars or even negative. My sisters and I were disappointed. I rather make the drive to Spring Branch to be completely honest. We ordered the club & asian chicken sandwich both did not hit. I don't recommend the smoothes either. If they are owned by the same owner, I'd definitely recommend them to ensure this kitchen staff is preparing the food with the same quality and taste. I'm a Katy resident and Ilike trying new places, this place is such a hidden gem to the point I'm scared to give it 5 stars because it'll get too crowded! Just kidding of course, I wish this business much success because I want it around. My husband and I have come for breakfast a handful of times and the food is great, generous portions, great service and ambiance. We much rather come here than all the craziness at La Centerra. To the chef, that aïoli sauce is delicious for the chik chick waffle, eggs, bacon cooked to perfection. As a matter of fact, I'm getting hungry just writing my review lol. To that once person in here that gave this place a bad review honestly, sound a little bitter to me -the staff & service has always been friendly with us. The main reason for the 2 star rating is because my cup lid was super dusty. I didn't realize it until I left. I don't know about anyone else but I don't want to put my lips on a dusty lid and drink dust because if it's on my lip it's getting in the drink. Im very OCD when it comes to cleanliness and food/drink. Why these lids so DUSTY?? Where y'all keeping them? I live close wanted to make this my new coffee spot..Umm not so sure.
