Bought an UppaBaby Vista stroller here from Airess. Wonderful customer service. She spent a good 30-45 minutes showing us the stroller's various features, add-ons, showed us how to assemble and collapse everything, all the various configuration options, showed us all the accessories, did pricing, and answered all our questions. She was definitely the most knowledgeable sales person we've come across regarding this particular brand of strollers (most don't know how the thing assembles, let alone all the configuration options). We ended up buying it from her, and she was kind enough to locate some of the accessories we needed that they didn't have in stock from other baby supply stores (their competitors) and referred us. Can't think of any other store that would send you to their competitor to make sure that you as a customer were 100% satisfied and got everything you need! Oh my goodness! I walked into this place to get a gift for a baby turning 1! It was my first time here and the person working was so helpful. I found what i needed in less then 20 minutes. I love this store and I don't even have children of my own. They have such a unique selection of items that you can't find elsewhere. Think of the best products for your toddler all in one place not overwhelming just great stuff. All other baby stores/shops pale in comparison to this place. I came into this store to shop for Aden&Anais muslin cloths swaddle blankets for last minute baby welcoming gift, and this was one of the only stores to sell the brand. The store is spacious, and one can quickly look around. The five-star rating is for the customer service I received from the phone. An employee, unfortunately, I could not catch his name helped me so much by detailing the type of designs the brand had in store, and that helped me decide on the particular gift. I am writing this review today because today I received EXCELLENT customer service. I've never shopped here before or stepped foot in the store and I live far! In Woodland Hills. I cane about this store online because I was searching soundproof earmuffs for the Kings' playoff game that we got tickets to last minute. We have a two month old and I'm now feeling comfortable enough to go out with him, but Staples Center is very loud and earmuffs necessary. I stumbled upon www.earmuffsforkids.com site and only a few retailers carry them - ordering online would be impossible with a 24 hour notice. I called the store and Natalie was more than willing to take my order over the phone. I explained to her if she could Saturday overnight in a fed ex, for some reason she could not but Myly - another employee there, was going to be passing by and offered to drop off the item for us! For a first time mom with a two month old, getting out of the house is an epic event, so offering this when they didn't have to was amazing. I read some previous reviews about prices and they are the same at all baby boutique stores for the same items of the same brands. Some brands don't let you discount their products like all the more expensive strollers such as orbit, uppababy, bugaboo, etc. that babies r us does not carry. The store hours are awesome - other boutiques close at 6 and 7 - I'm not sure what a couple with a 2 year old and a 5 month old are doing up at 9 anyway. My babies are in bed by then, we're not shopping or looking at stores. I will def go to the store when I go to my moms house since she lives that way and give them my business. We came here to find a stroller (City Select 2014) and a car seat (UPPAbaby Mesa). Natalie was super helpful and provided a full demonstration on using the stroller and combining it with the car seat. I loved this store w the previous sales associates they had . I called the store given I went to there last known location and it looked like they moved or closed down , first of the lady sounded bothered to even answer . "We're in the paseo plaza" . Obviously . I asked where , as far as stores next to you , in front of you . She hung up . After finding the place she didn't even greet us , I asked question regarding maxi cosí , again a short answer was given as if she didn't wanna be there . She didn't care to ask if we needed help , or bothered showing us the specs , how to strap , recline I mean the fucken basics . Or ask what we were looking for nothing what's so ever until we asked "is the maxi cosi toddler seat reclinable" she replied from the cash register "yes a red lever in he back" like okay ?come show me , obviously !!!!! I tried it myself the car seat was almost gunna fall over when I tried until she's like "well it gunna fall there here I'll do it" ( this was the window display ) . Terrible customer service . Love this baby store. Started coming when I was expecting my first child and now I'm expecting my second child and I need help finding a car seat for my new born. I went in on Monday almost closing time and little did I know I was gonna find exactly what I was looking for. Thanks Myly that helped me with finding the right car seat but she also helped me find a new cover for me bugaboo stroller, give me some info on car seat for my toddler girl. My wife and I received really good customer service here from Joanna. We were looking for the adaptors for our Quinny stroller and our Maxi Cosi car seat. It turns out that the adaptors should have come with the Quinny stroller but we didn't have them. Joanna, the sales clerk, went above and beyond in helping us. First, since the store does not usually sale the adaptors separately, she called two other stores to see if others would. They did not and her calls saved us a lot of time. She then called her store manager to see if it is possible for her to sale us the adaptors separately. Her store manager advised her to check with their Quinny sales rep first, and she is going to follow up with us. I am just so impressed that she really thought about the needs of my wife and I and was going out of her way to problem solve for us. Now that is great customer service! She also gave us great pointers in installing the Maxi Cosi base for cars, which demystified the process. I was able to go home and install the base with a lot more confidence. read more

ok i am a new yelper and i decided to yelp on buttercup as my first review :) so yesterday (7/15/12) my husband and i stopped by this cute boutique baby store called buttercup because we wanted to see any new products out there with me being pregnant and all hehe! we were greeted as soon as we walked into the place, its always a great feeling to be welcomed in a new place you have never been to before :) they have great products and eco friendly items to choose from! nothing you can get at target or at toys r us, believe me ive looked ;) we were helped by an employee named denise, she walked us through around the store at products that i was interested in and especially the STROLLERS (a new mothers nightmare hehe..) denise went through all the strollers with us and omg she gave me so much info that my head felt like it was going to explode :) she was very helpful informative and knowledgeable and i felt that she didnt push us to buy anything like one of those people at kiosks that make you buy something :(.. i felt very welcomed at this store and the employees that day brought out great customer service :) denise gave us their business card and informed us that they also had a website (thats very convenient!) we were sure to be back as soon as we did our homework :) definitely a hidden gem in the baby industry! :D read more

So today me and my husband went in to check out the orbit stroller. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the employees. There were only 2 sales reps on the sales floor and it was pretty busy. However me and my husband really wanted a demo of the orbit stroller before we decided on purchasing it. Natalie was the sales assistant that helped us, and let me just say she was the best. She demonstrated 3 different strollers that we were interested in she answered every single questions without hesitation, and she did a hands on demo as well she tookthe strollers apart and demonstrates how to fold and snap on the car seat as well as the toddler seat, and maintnence as well as warranties Not only that but she also took the time to give us some very helpful information being that were first time parents. Sure she has to excuse herself to help a few customers but she was very polite and helpful, and me and my husband were willing to wait because of that. We ended up purchaseing the uppababy vista and uppababy mesa. I'd definitely would recommend this store to anyone who is looking into baby gear and has questions about anything and would like to demo the top of the line baby gear out there. read more

I have tried and tried to have a great experience at this store but the employees or owner( I don't know who works there.) make it so unwelcoming. This is last and final time I will ever spend any money at Buttercup. My husband and I went into the store late on a friday night while enjoying the U2 cover band that played across the street. The girl that was behind the counter looked up from her phone and gave us a weird look. That was is it...no hello...no nothing. I looked around awhile and felt sorry for this sad empty store as I have in the past. It is a high end baby store! Where is the service that should go along with the high ticket items. I have no idea how they sell anything. This isn't just a one time attitude, every time I have been in Buttercup this is how they act. Foolishly, I have purchased something each time. I have felt so bad for this store because it's always empty and I believe in buying locally. But I will save my money and go elsewhere where they appreciate my business. read more

I came here looking for a stroller and left with other things. Joanna was extremely helpful and very knowledgable on the strollers. I was set on one stroller but soon she opened up my eyes to different options. Although Joanna was very attentive to me I felt bad because she was the only one that could help, since at the same time a little girl walked out of the store and she was very concerned and told me to give her a second. She made sure the little girl was safe and then returned to help me. Brownie points for her I have never seen that done at any store. I will definitely be returning to this store! read more

My wife and I are expecting twins, so I have been researching the Baby Jogger City Select. I knew from going on the Buttercup website that they carried the model, and read the great reviews about the customer service, and demos. Once there, we were immediately greeted by a young lady named Natalie. She was awesome, very nice, and talked with my wife and I about the stroller and some compatible car seats. She even opened a box of adapters and provided us with a demo, with one of the car seats they had in the store. Its funny, when you meet Natalie, she looks like she is twelve years old, but I was very impressed with her knowledge of not just the strollers, but just the general questions we had about car seats, and other Items. There was another young lady who was behind the counter, and when Natalie went to get the adapters, she must not have known we were being helped, and came from behind the counter to check on us. Very nice. The store is a bit pricey, but I believe you get what you pay for, and most importantly, the customer service was awesome. Thanks Natalie! read more

We came into Buttercup completely clueless about strollers. I was first eyeing the bugaboo for its sleek look, but wanted something less bulky and more affordable. The salesperson, Airess was amazing! She showed us the uppababy mesa/vista. She demonstrated and showed us how easy and practical it was to adapt our current car seat to it. She spend quite a lot of time with us helping us make our decision. We ended up purchasing the uppababy vista with the maxi cosi adapters and infant insert. We love it! Thanks Airess! read more
