Bush's fried chicken is my all time favorite chicken. I just wanted to say thank you to Bush's Chicken staff. We were in mourning of our little grandbaby last week when we stopped to pick up some chicken after planning for the funeral. It so happen that one of the staff asked how we were doing and we mentioned to her of our loss. She was kind enough to give us her condolences. However, when we paid and left with the chicken order, it had struck me odd that the bill was less. So, I looked at the receipt and noticed that the cashier had given us a discount. We were so touched by that gesture that we turned back thru the drive through to say thank you to the cashier. We were actually in tears for the kindness we received that day. Bush's never disappoints! Not only is their food consistently good, but their customer service is outstanding! The manager and the employees are always welcoming and treat their customers well. I am always pleasantly surprised that each and every time we come here for dine in and take out, the manager makes time to talk with us personally. Love the local feel here. read more

They are okay, it's fast food chicken, sometimes the tenders are fresh, other times you can tell they have sat a while and dried out.

I use to order the chicken tenders all the time which I love by the way, but lately, I love their Chicken I get a 2 piece meal which for me consist of 2 breast and they are the bomb so savory. Don't forget to ask for the spicy serendipity salt and Ice Tea. The Ice Tea here rocks!!!! read more

Love Bush's chicken. The chicken has a great breading and is so moist inside. The sweet tea I don't think can be topped anywhere and the rolls with the honey on the table to put on them really tops it off. Nothing fancy but good food, friendly staff and a great value. read more

I did quite a stint in Waco, home of Bush's fried chicken and I have to admit those crispy tenders made it nearly worth it. Plus--White GRAVY is bomb. I've never gotten cold food here either, I. Love. Sweet. Tea--So the giant (not so eco friendly) styrofoam cups are a dream. Plus as long as I'm being a complete fatty I always like to load up on some mac n cheese, crispy fried okra, and mashed potatos (with GRAVY!!) in addittion to the fries that come with the meal. Trust me, totally worth it. It's awesome to eat there, even though you come out smelling like fried chicken because they have honey, 'serendipity' (Bush's own blend similiar to spicy seasoning salt), and various other condiments to add to the mix. And I haven't even gotten to the rolls, which are quite good too. It's important to eat gravy on the roll as well. The last time I went to Bush's I stopped at the one in Lorena and it turns out now they've started putting individual tenders on rolls, wrapping them in foil---presto: Tender Rolls. So, I can have Bush's for a snack too. I still get crazy cravings for Bush's. It's a good thing I discovered they sell it at UT basketball games!!--bad thing that the season is over. :( read more

Really like the place. The chicken tenders are what I get. By themselves, not much flavor but dip them in the gravy and they are great. In the drive thourgh watch out for the oder takers. I saw one almost get hit by a car. read more

The chicken is okay. Rather greasy. 3 star chicken. 2 star coleslaw. 4 star okra. Prices are good for the product. And service is either hit or miss. Its not my favorite fried chicken. But it can feed the whole family for not a lot of mula. So I'm on the fence about this one. read more

Waco/Robinson/China Spring/ Texas Bushes is the spot for soggy cold fries, tough dried out chicken that is in little pieces due to not ever having a full tender somehow and the employees believing it will make up for it. They will fill your gravy cup to just a little above halfway, if they do that then why do I still have to pay full price?I used to go here quite often in high school and when I was younger, it was great and exactly what I paid for or expected.Now The only way I am ever able to get a decent meal there is if I know the person working and I ask for it fresh. Other than that they will lie and say it just came out of the fryer as I've been told many times now lately or just flat out not do it or refuse. It is just not possible for the chicken to chew tougher than beef jerky and supposedly just was cooked. I hope for change so I return due to its convenience and memory of actually having good chicken there. Sadly this food chain has lost my respect. read more

I love their Chicken and their Chicken tenders. They definitely arent as greasy as Churchs chicken, but their regular chicken is still a bit greasy. The tenders are almost perfection. The only drawback to this place is that its pricey compared to Churches/KFC/Popeyes. Which is the only reason its a 4 star instead of a 5. read more

We went to the Bush's Chicken on HWY 529 at Fry Road in CyFair. It was awesome. The manager and staff were most helpful as this was our first visit. The chicken was moist and tender and tasted like Mama used to make. We like livers and gizzards and many chicken places don't offer them. When my husband told the manager that the gizzards seemed overdone he fried up a new order, at no charge, and told my husband how to ask for them to be prepared as they are cooked when you order. The only side we tried was the green beans and they were seasoned just right. My husband said he could make a meal off the rolls themselves. We definitely give this place a thumbs up and will be returning. read more

Walk-in service at Bush's is fine, and the chicken is good. But NEVER use their drive-through service! My mother went out to get lunch for the family. Here is our order: 1. 1 3-piece meal with a breast and 2 legs 2. 1 chicken tender sandwich with fries 3. Extra mac n cheese and an extra roll Here is what we really received: 1. A 3-piece meal with a THIGH and 2 legs 2. A CHICKEN SALAD still with fries 3. The extra sides--no problem there WHAT?! We did not order this. I was even more shocked when Mom described her interaction with the drive-through attendant, who was probably in high school. Mom: Do you have the chicken tender sandwich? (She was too far away to see the menu) Employee: Yeah. Mom: Okay, I'll have that with fries. Employee: Oh, that doesn't come with fries...but I can add them. EEK. I can only imagine that this guy was thinking about the salad, not the sandwich. But he did say they had the sandwich... Maybe because he didn't write our order down... Went to the newer (2014) Bush's Chicken on RR 620, just West of Lakeline Mall. It was very good for the chicken tenders i ordered. They were not greasy at all, and very tender and tasty. I ordered large (20 tenders) for a dinner, and they were ALL gone; they came with biscuits & gravy. They met my expectations... very good. read more
