Well we want to love this place. The idea is perfect for us who like to eat the best quality meat and eat good vegetarian food. But it falls short in overall taste. The buns have "hard" tops. At least the day we were here. The fries are excellent. But the portions and the quality could be better for the price. My wife and I really enjoy this restaurant. The food is campy, a variety of comfort foods. The braised short ribs are delicious. The sides are all very good. My wife really likes the chicken. The one thing I didn't enjoy was the spaghetti Bolognese. The dish was dry and somewhat overpriced. The next time I go in I'm want to mention it to the manager. I'm sure they'll make it right. One bad dish isn't going to stop me from going to this great restaurant. The other thing I really found impressive was the great customer service at the register. I ordered a burger and they were super understanding about my condition and even noted on the order I had celiac. The burger itself was amazing, had a huge patty, fresh garnishments, and the bun seemed homemade. Also had sweet potato fries and they were gluten free too. When I first moved to Temecula over a year ago I couldn't wait to try this place out and actually really liked the food and the service. It was my go to place to take people visiting. Even though it was a little high on the price it was worth it. But the last few times that I have gone the service has just gone down so much that I don't know if I'll go back. Usually I am greeted well and people seem friendly but twice I have received the wrong order and it's not the mistake that bothers me because I know it happens. What they do once I tell them is the problem. The first time they made the mistake they actually gave my order to another customer and gave me there order which they were lucky that the other customer didn't even notice. But I did and I wanted what I ordered. I told the server and he said oh, ok. Took my plate along with my side which were fries to the back. I sat there while my husband ate and about 15 minutes later he brought out my sandwich (does it really take that long) along with my old cold fries that could have been left for me to eat or replaced with fresh ones. But he actually did say sorry at one point, I got over it. Then the next time I came which was about 3 weeks ago I ordered one of the burgers and again was given the wrong one. I came back without eating it and the cook said ok leave it there pointing to the counter. I did and waited for the burger. I watched as he scrapped off the patty from the other ingredients and put my "new" burger together. Usually I wouldn't care about something like that but hey this is like a $13 burger. Anyways to top it off the waitress brings it out and says "is someone waiting for a burger" I was nice and just said "here" and thank you. I just find it crazy that a place like this with seemingly quality ingredients and food is so disrespectful to customers when they make a mistake. When they are good it's really good, but you better hope your order is right. read more

Our first time at this restaurant and our experience was good. I enjoyed the chicken and ribs combo. The chicken was properly cooked, well seasoned, and still moist. The ribs had great flavor and the meat fell off the bone. I really liked the Kale Slaw and the grilled vegetables were great. The rest of the family enjoyed some of the other entrees and I heard no complaints. The kids liked the mac and cheese. Our only complaint was the length of time it took to receive our order given that it wasn't very busy. I can understand some of the wait since a lot of the items were cooked to order but most of it was already cooked and sitting on the counter top under the heat lamps. I am also hesitant about the price point. They claim several of their menu items are gluten free - which are already gluten free by nature. However, they are locally sourced ingredients, which I'm sure is what hikes up the price. However, for the price we paid, I can take my family to a sit down restaurant with a server and get more personalized service. All in all, I may or may not return... perhaps if they had money saving specials. read more

I just heard about Bushfire Grill and have been by a couple of times. Food Taste is excellent and Service is friendly. They use some gluten free ingredients and the chicken is free range. Prices are reasonable for the quality of the food and the ingredients being used. You can order sandwiches, salads, rice bowl, a combo plate or a la carte. They also have family packs and even a wine country picnic basket complete with knives, forks, and tablecloth. They basically have three meats available Steak, Chicken and Ribs. You choose a sauce and sides. I've tried the chicken. The make it on the rotisserie. It taste great and cooked all the way through which is important to me. I'm getting the ribs next time. Over my chicken I've had the lemon & herb and the Peri Peri. Lemon and herb was more like butter with lemon and herb. It was ok but not something I personally would get again. The Peri Peri sauce was very good. It has lime or lemon and tabasco similar to buffalo wing sauce. I will have that again. I'm anxious to try the BBQ and Chimichurri sauces on my next visits. There are many sides to choose from at Bushfire Grill. They have two different types of fries, veggies, rice, Mac & Cheese and more. I chose the vegetables and they are excellent. They even have the grill lines! They had squash, zucchini and carrot. The yellow squash was especially tasty. You get a little crunch at first then the softness as they melt in your mouth. Mmm. On each visit the pretty girl behind the counter greeted me with a smile and a 'will be right with you'. The food does take a few minutes to prepare so you need to be patient. There's a few tables inside plus a good amount of tables outside. The weather was great on one of my visits so I ate outside and did some people watching while I waited for my lunch. Clive who is one of the owners brought my food out after just a couple of minutes and it was worth the wait. I got to meet Clive and we talked for some time about future plans including a mobile app and drive up service. By the way you can already order online on their Facebook page. If there's an area of improvement for this restaurant it's getting the customers faster service. That may come in time as they get a steady stream of customers and the crew in the kitchen can get into an enjoyable fast paste rhythm. Overall this place is excellent. 5 stars. I'm on the paleo diet so this menu fits right in. If you're into health and fitness or you just like great tasting food give Bushfire Grill a visit. read more

Stayed in Temecula for a weekend getaway, and tried this place because of a last minute recommendation by a Paleo friend who lives locally :) SO glad we went to dinner here instead of any of the Old Town places! Great food at such affordable prices...it was probably our favorite meal of the weekend, AND cheapest. We dined at Wilson Creek winery and the South Coast winery....our meals there cost double the price and were half as satisfying. Lots of paleo-friendly choices. Once again I thought that I would try someplace new for lunch, and the Bush Fire Grill was recommended, so I gave it a shot. The resturant itself is small with inside tables for maybe 12-16. There is also a covered and heated dining area outside as well as a strictly al fresco spot. The menu was simple but modern with higher than normal prices. I had the Tri tip with sweet potato fries, a side of mac and cheese, and an old time lemonade. The meal was average in taste, although the Mac and cheese was pretty good. The service was not that great, as I watched part of my meal get delivered to another table while the rest of it was carried back to the kitchen by a confused waiter. I had to retrieve my meal and apologies were offered and accepted, but by then I was simply irritated. Overall the meal was ok, definite not great, and DEFINITELY not worth the price. Very large menu with lots of different choices. Everything is very fresh and well presented. Many different choices of salads and sides; their roasted veggies are very nice. The staff were quick and accomodating (there was 11 of us and they went and got an extra table and chair for us from the back). My mom wife and I came here because of the great reviews on yelp. We ordered our food with the waitress about $50 worth . My mom eats minimum meats so she ordered a grilled cheese from the kids menu as she is not a big eater either. The waitress was friendly atmosphere was ok. Everything was ok untill the chef stormed over and was very rude stating that he refused to make a grilled cheese for my mother because she was not under 10 years of age . We even offered to pay extra if that was the problem or anything we could do explaining that my mom is not a big meat eater. He refused to budge so we canceled our total order and left. We walked a few doors down to the earth bistro we were met by nima the owner who was exceptionally friendly and the food was amazing. we noticed that the earth bistro has all the same menu practically as the bush fire grill. Yet the earth bistro has been here 5 years and the bush fire grill has been here 2 months. Then we saw the waitress come in to the earth bistro grab a to go menu and walk out. The bottom line is the bush fire grill is a terrible fake with poor customer service . He will give you a 50% discount if you write him a good review on yelp. Buy I would not endorse this crappy place for his discount. Go see nema at the earth bistro he is so nice he even came around the counter to give my mom a hug before we left . Hands down one of if not the best healthy food restaurants in the Temecula area. They are fast, friendly, and affordable. My family and I have been here 3 times just to make sure it was legit before we posted a review. Let me tell you...it is. I have tried the brisket, chicken, and the braised short rib and they are all spectacular. Their sweet potato fries are the best I've ever had. Most items are gluten free, which is very hard to find. Anyone that posts a negative review about this place is either a competitor in the area or completely oblivious to what good healthy food is. Brief overview is that this places provides healthy and tasty food options at reasonable prices. Among the greats were the quinoa vegeburger and lamb curry bowl. Where things fall apart badly is service. It takes an eternity to get your food, they routinely run out of stuff midday (including drinks) and dishes are brought out intermittently forcing some to wait or start eating while others await their food. Just had lunch here and it was really good! First off, I love the decor. It's simple and urban. The trays your food come on are awesome! I actually wish I had that size for my house. ; ) I had the veggie delight. Perfect amounts of everything. The bread was tasty and soft and fresh. My fries were perfect and seasoned with some parsley and sea salt. Oh and they have Mexican Coke! THE BEST! And I loved that their water was in a cute pitcher filled with lemon. I thought that was very modern of them. To make my rating five stars they would have to add less salt to the top of their bread and use it in the mac and cheese. My coworker got the mac and cheese with her lunch and the texture was perfect, but a little salt would have made it even better. Maybe we got an extra batch of salty bread..? I don't know, but it was still good. All in all I can't wait to take my husband here. He's a chicken loving freak! And I'm glad Temecula has a new restaurant that's not a chain! read more

Skip the regular fast food places like Mcdonalds where a combo now runs you close to $8. Go here for REAL food cooked with flavor that isn't packed with salt. The sandwhiches and dinners run around $7-$9 and are full of flavor. Such a great relief from burgers and pizzas. This is a place is new, different but a great fit for the area. We ate here twice. The food really good quality and tasty and appears clean! Customer sevice was great esp. the owners! They talk with you if you have a concern and take suggestions! The only concern I have that they use canola oil instead of a better quality one! Canola oil should not be used esp when they advertise it is natural and where it actually is GMO! Other good oils should be used for cooking are grapeseed oil, sunflower/safflower oil or light olive oil!!
