It was our first time here. My favorite here was the palatta with veggie curry. It was so flavorful. We also ordered the eggplant garlic curry with fried rice which was delicious. The staff is really nice and they brought the food out in a timely manner. My only suggestion is to make reservations in advance. This place is poppin! especially on a Friday or the weekend. Very popular and busy resistant with delciois Burmese food. The tea leaf salad is a staple and a must try. The samosa soup was very potatoey tasting, wish it was more spicy. We also got the pine nut fried rice and it was the best thing we got! Also got the vegetable curry which was more of a tomato base than a coconut base that you would think about for a Thai curry. I like Burmese food. That being said, I have frequented multiple Burmese restaurants in the Bay Area. The only reason why I've gone to this restaurant multiple times because my best friends love it and if I would like to break bread with them, it means we have to visit this restaurant once in a while. The wine is always OK. The parking is free so you don't have to walk too far to get to your car. The customer service is lacking especially since the maître d' made a comment about my friends and I bringing our children to the restaurant and I have no idea why we didn't speak up more. No one greet, acknowledge we were there. Until the host are off the phone we are seated. The restaurant smells like sweats, the table is dirty (doesn't seems like they wipe it down). We ordered pad Thai, the color is unseen before the color is red, and also the taste is very sweet. The chicken meat are rough. This is my team's go to place for any team lunches or dinners! Usually a group of 5-10 of us will go to the restaurant and within our group, there's different preferences (gluten free, vegetarian, no tofu, etc.) but it meets everyone's tastebuds! My favorites would have to be the tea leaf salad, samosas, garlic noodles, and honestly, I can't remember exactly which meats I got but everything is pretty much good! We ordered catering for the first time and it was such a hit with everyone. We planned an event for about 20-25 people and ordered 7 half trays. I ordered well in advance and called the day before pick up to confirm. On the day of, I arrived at my designated pick up time (11:30 is the earliest option), and everything was good to go. They helped me load the food into the car, the server helped label some things that didn't have labels, so I can't say enough good things about the service. I was in the area for an appointment and looking for a place for lunch. Boy, did I pick the right place! I was quickly seated at my preference of an outside table. The outdoor patio is a nice, shady spot. I ordered the Mango Chicken, Coconut Rice and Burmese Iced Tea. Everything was fantastic. The Burmese Iced Tea was so tasty. It had a sprig of mint and was less heavy and sweet than a Thai Iced Tea. The Mango Chicken was a perfect mix of sweet and sour. I got it medium spicy but I could have dealt with it being spicer (and I don't consider myself super tolerant of really spicy). My only critique is that I wish there had been less onion slices and more mango slices; the onions were very lightly cooked and the flavor was a little overwhelming. Habibi this place is HALAL! I don't frequent Dublin often but when I do it's for Burma Burma! I was so excited to see they served halal, sometimes I find it difficult to have my family venture out of Mediterranean cuisine because they only eat halal meat and not a lot of different cuisines offer that! I believe Burma Burma encompasses the diverse regional culinary traditions of Myanmar as they offer some of the more traditional dishes with a little twist. Don't skip out on the salad section of the menu. This isn't our typical dry house salad. From their traditional tea leaf salad to their mango salad, there are so many bold flavors that will perfectly start your meal experience off with a crazy punch. My absolute favorite is their ginger salad that has pickled ginger, fried garlic, and various seeds. It really is such a unique dish. An absolute must order is the sesame beef. Amazing crispy fried beef with a sticky orange-like molasses sauce topped with a generous amount of sesame seeds and topped with scallions. This dish was so good we ordered an entrée to go! An honorable mention, but not sure if I would order again: Minted Jalapeno Chicken. Has great subtle flavors but I found myself adding a lot of sambal sauce to get a little more of a kick. We dropped by Burma Burma on a weekday as we were in the area and was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. We have had Burmese food in the South Bay before and this tasted much better. We ordered Burmese style lamb curry and noodles. We agreed the waiter to make our food spicy and she very sweetly agreed. She spoke to the chef and made it happen.
