The line always wraps around the lanes and there are only half of the registers open at any time of the day, including the evening during the holidays. Also, not ONE person covering the floor at 7:30pm. Sherry on top, there is an express line but returns cannot be made there. HORRIBLE. Over 2 hours on the line and only 3-4 cashiers when they have over 23-24 registers. All of the cashiers moving extremely slow. I started the line around 7:20 and didn't leave until 9:35 AND TO MAKE IT WORSE THEY LEFT AN ALARM on my item and I had to go back to the register while I left my mom and dog outside and they refused to take out the alarm without the receipt when I had just purchased it and it was in a plastic bag they put in.They are super inconsiderate of their customers, there were women with their children and babies crying on a line that was over hours long. read more

Service here depends on the day my goodness the line is consistently snaked through the store almost around the clothes to the other side and nearly back to their storage dept. Often I come in here and there are only two cashiers but 80 people in line this store is suffering and suffering bad. Very difficult to find someone to unlock something in there, they've got the locked down like it's a VIP club I kid you not the club entry things are at the doorway blocking all entrances and exits. The value is literally the only thing keeping this store in business and the fact it is convenient and inside of Barclays. Otherwise they need to go ahead and reassign their staff to a different store it is so poorly managed here and a hot and I mean hot mess. It took 25 minutes just to get a handbag unlocked. This store is always unorganized and dirty to the point where you can't even push around a cart without running into things on the floor. They have 23 cash registers all together and they only had 4 registers open??? First things first, thank you for rearranging the store. Women are often the primary shoppers and yet our section was on the far end of the store. It was refreshing to walk into the store and right into the women's section. The long lines are still an issue here and a major deterrent for me. i was searching for women's socks in size 13, which I could not find. So I walked away empty-handed. read more

Seriously you have got to do better with checkouts!!! Having people wait in a ridiculously long line, does not match your mission statement of having a fast checkout. You need to omit that from your statement because it's completely false. Why have 15+ cash registers if you are only going to use 2/3 on shopping days, it makes no sense. Only having 2 cashiers to man over 100+ plus customers on any given day isn't cool, you are overworking them and the practice needs to stop. How many customers have to demand more cashiers be placed upfront before management realize that this way of doing business is unacceptable? Counting on customers to stay on line no matter how long the line is isn't going to work forever, you are taking advantage of the workers and the customers by this practice. Walk in to buy the obvious, automatically i felt like I walked into Marshall or century 21, to many things to look at, I liked it better when all they sold we're coats, finally we found two coats after looking for an hour, heading towards the regiters my anxities kicked in looking at the line but good thing they had enough employees in each register so the wait to purchase wasn't long. We had two coats and two scarfs, one scraf had no sku the clerk caught attitude (really) calling someone to get her the price of it with no response, I'm sure it could've been another way to enter or find the price, I was over the wait so I said never mind the scarf continue. Now we asked for a gift receipt, she again had an issue saying oh you guys had to say that first I would have to do or ask someone to adjust the register to get you one. Oh Good God, NO! I went to this location last night. After shopping for 20 minutes, I decided I had what I wanted and "proceeded to the checkout". This is not an exaggeration... I was in line for AN HOUR AND TEN MINUTES! Let me say that again (a la "Back and to the left")... AN HOUR AND TEN MINUTES! I took several pictures and videos and will be emailing their customer service after posting this review. There are two lines that you can wait in to checkout: Line A and Line B. What they don't tell you is that Line A will move significantly faster because (much like an outside lane of a track) Line B has a much wider angle of a turn headed up to the registers. Line B had slightly fewer people in it, so I went into that one. Then I started to get confused as to why someone who was 10 feet behind me pulled even, and then ahead of me!!! As if all of this wasn't bad enough, there were FOUR cashiers for the two lines of almost 50 people each waiting to checkout. Yes, four registers for over 100 people. Almost every cashier had to call for price checks repeatedly. And no one would come until about the 4th or 5th time that they were "paged". And even then, they strolled up as if there wasn't the slightest amount of rush in the World. The customer service at this location is God awful. I will never go here again which is a shame because I used to love Burlington. From now on it's Marshall's and Target (both just one floor down) for me! read more

OH HELL NO!! I needed to make an emergency run to Burlington this evening for an appointment tomorrow, and didn't have a suit in my closet that oozed confidence and conservative sexiness. Actually, I don't own a suit at all, so I was drenched in desperation! It sucks they don't have an abundance of suit separates, but they do have a pretty decent selection available at very reasonable prices. The pants are too small for the office, but just right for the club. I ended up having to buy another pair of pants that matched the color of the suit. All that said, why in the bloody HELL did I see a rat run across the salesfloor? I yelled out I JUST SAW A RAT!! and freaked out another customer. But I REALLY needed this suit, and nothing was gonna keep me from it so I kept it moving. I ran into the fitting room, and told the lady I JUST SAW A RAT!! What's the point of working in the customer service industry if you have not the slightest clue how to provide courteous service. I literally had to do the employee's job for her. She would not leave the register to check the price of an item (the price was too torn to read). She had me wait 20min as she call the department back and forth to get the price, charged me and everything. The manager came in and said no it's $29.99, at first time was hesitant but I wanted the item so I said I gave in. So after visiting family in Long Island I look up Burlington Coat factory in the GPS and low and behold! Wham! This location pops up. I remember reading a review on this place here that it had rats or something, so as soon as I walked in I immediately kept a close eye out for those 12lb bastards. I came in here looking for a cheap wool coat due to my birthday dinner at Cafe Español my nice expensive soft, cashmere blended coat was burned on one side from a heater (cant prove it was them) so I needed a replacement before heading back to work for the week. Surprisingly the place was in tip top shape, it wasnt crowded, the coats were ALL in order and they had some nice brands on the rack at a decent price. So I quickly found one that I liked and headed to the home section (I'm all into my apt) and they had several things that I would have purchased but didnt feel like carrying.
