Other than that, you can find just about anything you need for your home. Little things like toilet paper, hand and paper towels munchies and drinks. Even things for kids school like notebooks and pads and pens and kitchen needs. There is many things you can find that are at very cheap prices. Like nobody should ever pay 2 dollars for one roll of toilet paper, right? well here you get 2 rolls for 99c. Sometimes it get really hilarious in the store. One day I was at the register and the cash register lady was yapping on the cell phone while attending me, and she rang me up for 6 Grand. I immediately looked in the bags to find out what costed me 6 grand. I was in shock when I seen that, and she nearly freaked out and then she had the nerve to blame it on me. I really appreciate the selection: they carry everything from household items to groceries, and I often end up finding more than I originally came for. The staff is usually very friendly and willing to help point you in the right direction if you're looking for something specific. While a few of the stockers don't speak English fluently, they are always polite and do their best to assist. Overall, shopping here is always a positive experience, and the combination of affordability, variety, and cleanliness keeps me coming back again and again.

Really look at what you are purchasing because they do sometimes sell items with factory defects. This store doesn't have the selection of items that some of the bigger locations carry. This one is mainly women's & menswear, and some housewares (curtains, towels, etc). What has always separated this store from the other 99 cent and up stores has been it's huge…read moregrocery section. In fact for years I had been coming here for the best deals on food for Passover in the entire city. I had always been impressed that I could purchase 75-80% of my Pesach food supplies for about 1/2 the price of the regular markets. So last Saturday (the day we less observant Jews look for great deals) I visited and was shocked to discover that the aisles of Passover foods were now reduced to less than an aisle. There was no egg matzoh, chocolate covered matzoh or tam tams. And the selection of other supplies was quite limited. They only offered one brand of matzoh (Ossem) but still have a good price for macaroons ($1.99) though less different kinds from which to choose. I asked the manager at the end of the aisle what was up and he said they had new management but "next week" a lot more stuff was coming in. So today I returned after work and discovered almost nothing had been added. I then asked the same guy who was sitting in the same place at the end of the cashiers what happened to all the other Passover supplies. His answer was that they couldn't buy the stuff cheap enough. I'm dubious.... They still have some good buys on hummus, cheese and other food items but the store is not being kept up and many goods were not neatly organized. So I guess next year I will have to "pass over" coming here as it is no longer worth the trip!

They have fruits and vegetables inside and outside but they let them sit out so long that it goes bad. No one buying? Lower the price! They see its going bad but they don't care. They continue to throw on top the new fruits and vegetables so that they're mixed in there with the bad causing the decay even further. Their fridge items are scary. You really don't know whether its fresh or not and you can't go by the date. They leave it out at room temperature for god knows how long because the fridge doesn't have any more room or the employees had something else to do first so you don't know if the product already went bad. Workers are gloomy. Its not a pleasant place to shop.
