Definitely the best Marshall's in NYC and one of the best stores of its type in Brooklyn (beats TJ Maxx, Target, Kohl's and etc) and perhaps in the five boroughs. Pretty decent selection of house goods and if you got a few hours to spare and or if you are extremely patient, there are racks of half organized clothing to pick something from. Like pair of casual pants, or leggings, or perhaps a sweater, or just some t-shirt with a clever quote. One of the pluses are the affordable prices and another bonus is there is a pretty legit bathroom (especially when compared to other public restrooms, particularly other stores' restrooms; there's even enough bathroom tissue and tissues to wipe your hands with.) read more

I'm leaving nearby and always going there already 5 years and everything good about them ruined by one time with her She was very rude and abusive to me! I feel like this is one of the more organized Marshall's in the area! You can really find some nice things for your home or just for you in general! I wish they had a larger selection on candles and blankets & hot tools! It could have been the day I went though! Also don't be intimidated by the long long line. This Marshalls is bigger than the one near Kings Highway and it has free parking available on-site. The location is organized by sections such as, home good, shoes, clothes but, each shelves is disorganized. The lines are always long here even though they have a few cashiers on staff. read more

This Sheepshead Bay store is very racist. The attitude of some of the cashiers which are mainly Russians give you a hard time with everything once you get to the counter. I shop at Marshall all over NYC and this is the only one that give me attitude and a hard time using any card I use. Discounts and all. The lines are always crazy long and the cashiers are rude and the talk among each other in their language and never speak English, when there is an problem. I think they need more diversity in that store period and training how to deal with the public. read more

The first reason to shop at this location is the rooftop parking lot. The second is the additional discounts that are being offered on top the already low prices. I am writing this review in the time of Covid-19 and disagree with Marshall's policy to allow 198 patrons into the store at once. It is difficult to social distance with narrow aisles, and the line to pay snaking around the store. I did enjoy finding some bargains today. I found a Polo Ralph Lauren men's shirt for only $25.00, and a men's Age of Wisdom polo shirt for only $20.00. I found a bottle of Jimmy Choo perfume for only $26.00. I will return if they reduce the capacity to a more reasonable number. read more

Mixed feelings.. I want to give this place 3 stars but I definitely can't. It is a god awful mismanaged place. All the people that work here need to be fired. And replaced with a competent team. Come here if you like wasting hours of your life. So I walk in at around 2 on a Monday (Dec 19) and immediately saw a very very very very long line... Snaking to the very back of the store. It was startling. But I didn't want to just leave. At that moment I also saw a rack filled with cheap candles (my main reason for coming here) I thought ok so that's how these types of stores are, I'll walk around for 30ish minutes and it will kinda clear up. I got my candles, and I walked around to find some cool soap and other cool "stuff." Meanwhile I keep looking over at the line and it wasn't moving. At all. Just getting longer. To my dismay. Same people were just standing there. I realized I did not want to spend 1.5 hrs here. So I dropped my candles and things on top of a pretty, gold mirrored tray with cute pineapple designs on it... And walked out. Looking at other reviews this long line issue has been going on since 2013.... And customers have had to deal with it... How awful. They really need to fix this because there aren't many stores like this in Brooklyn. It really sucks. read more

By far the most disorganized / poorly run Marshall's I've ever been to. A lot of other reviewers have mentioned the lines, which often stretch all the way across the store - they're pretty ridiculous. It doesn't help that whenever the line gets a bit shorter they cut down the number of cashiers, thereby keeping the wait time up. The cosmetics section in particular is a wreck. 80% of the merchandise is destroyed, and when things get ruined they just leave them out for sale, even if the product is shattered all over the floor in front of the display. The employees (particularly one middle-aged Russian woman with a peroxide pixie cut) get a real attitude if you open the (unsealed) packaging before purchasing to check that A) the correct item is still inside and B) the item isn't destroyed beyond repair. I've gotten Buxom packages that have NYX items inside before. I've gotten palettes that have turned into loose powder. So OF COURSE I'm going to check first. If you're going to have such poor quality control, you can't get pissy with customers for carefully checking products first. read more

I so want to love this spot. I love Marshalls and it's super convenient to pop by on the way to my parents' home nearby. There's a parking lot and street parking is also relatively easy. But I NEVER go here anymore. This place is insane. It often looks like a hurricane ripped through. That in itself doesn't bother me because I'm not above digging through stuff. It's the lines. The lines are always an hour long on a good day and longer on a not good day. They're completely understaffed and NEVER have more than 3 cashiers (usually 2). Sorry, but I'm not waiting in line 2-3 hours to save $5 on an item. Any money they're saving by understaffing becomes a wash from all the people that see the line, drop their stuff right there and walk out. Hire a manager that understands economics, please. read more

a ok marshalls in the sheepheads section of brooklyn thats not as big as the other marshalls stores in westchester but they do get 3 stars for having a decent selection of clothing , footware, homegoods , snacks , small electronic gizmos, and more . some sections were messy as some folks who shop are slobs and feel its not a big deal to drop stuff and not pick it up. free parking is a plus as area was semi empty due to the heavy night rain .i roamed around and grab a 2pack of pillows and king size comforter which will come handy real soon . the checkout line moved fast as its just me and the non smiling marshalls cashier. overall not the best or worst marshall's i have shopped at but unless i am in the area ,i will stick to westchester county . read more

There are Never Enough sales people to assist at the check -out counter. The lines are going out the door, clothes are tossed all over the floor as well as shoes scarves accessories and the home goods area is usually very messy. never have I seen anything so disorganized and all my life I spoke to the manager about it one time and she got upset with me and their clothes are nothing to write home about read more

This location is infuriating because there is never a staff member available to help on the sales floor and - even worse - the line is frequently absurdly long and snakes around the store. My advice is that you not waste time on coming to this location because it is frequently not worth the time for whatever savings there might be. As far as I remember, there used to be a gas station. When I heard that it was going to be Marshalls couple years ago, I were very glad-I still am. It is right next to Petco and Stop & Shop. Between Neck Road and Sheepshead Bay stations, easy to reach. Usually you await 15-20 minutes on line to pay. I arrived in the evening and yes, the store was a mess.....items strewn everywhere! But let's ask ourselves who created this mess! Certainly not the staff! The shoppers here have no respect for other's property. I find this in many of the stores frequented by foreigners. Maybe the shoppers need to start learning respect! In addition, there are many parents that allow their children to run a muck in stores. And children will be children... So before I start, let's be clear. Keep in mind that this is a discount department store. Not your soho boutique or upscale organic market. Most of the stuff here has gone through a lot before even landing here at Marshall's. Now, onto the place itself. This I would have to say is much better than the Marshall's in Bensonhurst and Atlantic terminal. It is still new, just opened about a year and a half ago. It is clean and neat at times. I can say that it will be messy at times but the workers here always try to keep it as neat as possible. It's just that the people who shop here don't care and mess it up. They let their kids run around and play in the clothing and shoes we are about to purchase, so keep that in mind, it's not the stores fault. They do have a late night staff as well as early morning that sets everything up, so my recommendation is come early in the morning. As for the stock, I would say they have pretty good merchandise. I am the smallest size in clothing, small to point where many brands don't fit me, yet I can still find many things that fit me in this store. Their selection of shoes are also pretty good. Lots of party heels, flats, and boots. Of course, sometimes it takes a while to look for them because this section is one of the messiest which people obviously just throw shoes around. Not only being unkind to the store and it's merchandise but also those who shop after them. Anyhow, I've managed to score great work shoes here like a pair of black leather Vince camuto pointed heels for only forty dollars, which is a steal. They also offer food And home and bath accessories. It's not as large as many of the other TJ Maxxs and Home Goods are, especially in Manhattan, but this will suffice for a small corner of Brooklyn. The staff is also very hard working here. The only thing I dislike about this store is how crowded it gets during it's busy hours which is usually on weekends or after work. When the line gets crazy, boy does it get crazy. I'm not very patient, but again, this isn't the stores fault, it's just rush hour. Of course, Century 21 is more upscale and preferable among a lot of people, but if you live in sheepshead bay and don't feel like taking an R train all the way out to Bay Ridge or dealing with the busy and tourist filled FiDi century 21, then this will have to do- especially if you're looking for discounted merchandise. read more

I've been to a few Marshalls in my lifetime and this one is a bit smaller than most. Marshalls usually competes with Kmart, Target and other low cost retailers and I probably prefer Target out of these, but Marshalls holds it on......usually. As for this Marshalls, it is sub-par compared to others. Not only is it smaller, but it is also messier, dirtier and contains a much smaller selection of products ranging from kitchenware, bedding and clothes. Unfortunately, there isn't much competition to this Marshalls in the Sheepshead Bay area so it is the most convenient option. However, if you have a car and prefer to do your shopping where there is a better selection and possibly slighty cheaper prices, I recommend that you go to Century 21 on 86th Street in Bay Ridge. I have bought bedding and undergarment products there where there is a much larger variety at cheaper prices. read more

They are the worst. Patrons go in there with no mask and no one says anything. Have they ever heard of a size large? Not enough dresses or shoes in my size 9. I used to love this Marshall's. It's closer to me and I can shop around in others places in the area when I visit. Unfortunately they never have anything! The makeup isle is terrible. Everything is broken, touched, opened, swatched , and dirty. It's very sad that they never have any good makeup items from top brands. I watch these videos of people who go shopping at Marshall's and have an amazing time and find a crap ton of things but this Marshall's never has anything and it's always a mess. The clothes department is a disaster. Everything is on the floor. Nothing is in the right spot. It's just a mess. Don't get me started on the shoes. The men's department is sad. Where are the bigger sizes? Not all men are under a size 10 not in this neighborhood. The section with bed sheets and towels is a ways clean which is guess is a good thing but I never shop in that department. I feel like as a retail store no matter the size and no matter the price on the tag the workers should be nicer to shoppers. People work hard for their money and they choose your store to shop in and you treat them like they don't matter. Something to remember , it's something I heard when I worked in retail "if the customers don't shop here you dont work here". It's sad but it's true. The store Always has long long line. When you buy a stuf there, make sure the tag tied with an original holder, because I bought a skirt and of course I didn't pay attention to the tag holder. When I wanted to return it one of the cassier said that tag is not belong to it also that string (whic it was tied whit it) is not made by store. It was ridiculous, I asked for manager to checked the camera record that I bought the item there. However, she was worser than cashier, she went back an come back in two minute and said I looked record and the skirt is not belong here. Unbelievable, when I bought it they scan the item and it was belong to them, but when I need to return it back, it was not belong to them. The store has worst stuff that don't like to serve people. I understand that it's a cheap store, but it's the idea behind this brand. I've been to different Marshalls in different locations, but this one (as probably everything else in South Brooklyn a.k.a. Soviet overseas territory) operates under specific dumb rules. When I want to buy pretty expensive by this store's standards boots, I thought I should have an opportunity to try them on with the clothes I'm planning to wear them with. Turn out, I can't take any shoes in the fitting room. Thus, either I leave my bag and clothes in the fitting room unattended and go somewhere outside the fitting room to look in the mirror or I have to carry my stuff around. I tried to find the manager, but spoke with Eugenia (I'm not sure how to spell her name), who went somewhere, came back, and confirmed this dumb policy. She was nice, but whoever wrote this policy either works for the competitors or is simply dumb. As a results they lost few hundred dollars today. read more

the store is filthy and disorganized, it used to have great deals but now you're paying for shirts with footprints on them and rips. The lines are even worse than the stock in the store. The cashiers delay the process even more by working at a snails pace. Waited online for 20 minutes to end up having my cashier throw my items around because something was ringing. Instead of just looking through them individually, she repeated the process numerous times instead of just going through the clothes.. There ended up being a security tag anyways... Beware of their return policy, if you have to return anything more than $100 you need to wait for an additional 10-20mins for cashier's manager approval while you already waited for an hour stand on the line waiting for the cashier. There is no separate line for return and purchase, so one line does it all. This location is always lack of cashiers and poor management. read more

People love to complain... this marshalls is just like any marshalls with VERY HEAVY foot traffic. It's busy, it's always busy. All cashiers are open to accommodate Whiney shoppers but unfortunately those same shoppers come tot he register and ask 5,000 questions and hold up the lines being extra annoying. I wouldn't shop here if it wasn't close to my house. So much mess, huge lines(ALWAYS!), and you never can find somebody to help you. Every time I walk in, I usually end up walking right out. When I don't walk away right away, I'm on line for a good half hour before I reach a cashier. Very long line at any time of day. I live real close so I pass by a lot. It's very hard for me to find anything in the women's sections. There are too much clothing crammed in, not enough space to really look comfortably.
