Its now 9:04 am and the doors are still closed even though the business is supposed to be open for 9:00 am . There is a store manager in store that saw me standing in front waiting to come in, and he said nothing. Not even, Im sorry mam we are running behind to open up this morning. Instead he opened just to let 2 more employees, in while the others employees stand around waiting. Looks like he started a morning meeting, during open hours. I paid for meter parking too. I love this homegoods! It's a nice size, and you can find a gem or two in here if you're looking hard enough. I like to go in the middle of the day when everyone is working so i can get in and out. That line can get pretty long. It's really close to my job, and it's right under target so that makes it a double threat for your pockets. I dare you to leave out of here and target with nothing. That's some great will power, lol. I always fail. I'm sure I'll be back there as soon as i can. Even on days when it's nothing to do, you can just browse homegoods. But careful, mins fly by in this place, and next thing you know it's been an hour or so. Time goes as fast as your money here. Lol. But love it! Can't wait wait to return. read more

What a surprise! I spent about 2 hours roaming the aisles and came out with everything I needed. If you need towels or pillows, you will not be disappointed. The selection was immense. I couldn't find a product, but was able to ask and be helped by an employee who walked me straight to the aisle. It was a wonderful experience, not to mention super cost-effective. Don't be deterred by the line. Ours was long but it moved quickly. I just wish it was in a more convenient location. Can't have everything. read more

Love shopping at Home Goods. I can spend an hour and a half to two hours waking around and thinking of where in my house I'm going to put this random bird. You get the idea. They have a great selection of decor and furniture for every design/personality. However like all stores like this one some times it gets messy and you gotta hunt for things. Personally I think that's the fun part. This location- staff is friendly and informative Parking is ok I usually find a metered spot or park 2 blocks down near the apartments. The store itself is pretty clean and as organized as Home Goods could be. Will definitely be coming back to this location, probably frequently too. read more

I love Home Goods and am grateful that it's in the neighborhood. This location is typically never organized, but they have a great selection like most locations. I have gotten some great pieces for my home. The line is always wrapped around the store, which is so frustrating. The other day I spent over 30 minutes waiting in line. I almost left but figured I had made it thus far in the line. I wish they would hire more people and can have all the registers full since they clearly always get a lot business. read more

It's pretty big and wide so even when it is crowded it's not like you are bumping into people when shopping. The lines aren't that long at check-out and it's clean/new. Honestly I really like this store. Huge selection of everything ranging from JUNK to nice stuff but a lot of junk stuff to! Ie: them trying to sell a broken lamp! All in all great place to find everything from throws to sheets and duvet covers as well as candles, area rugs and cookies! Anything you can think of they most likely have, at reduced prices ! I spent 1 hour looking for candles. And that's nothing against HomeGoods. Because everything was organized chaos in the best way possible. I'm just indecisive af. And the items weren't even for me. It was a secret santa gift but it just takes me forever to choose the perfect item when it's for another person. For me, I get overwhelmed when there are too many options. Which is a great thing, to be honest. But this store was clean. It had a lot of options to offer. And the prices were damn good! Home Goods is so good yet so bad...so I guess I'm glad I discovered its East Coast presence so late in the game, or else I would have been a helpless hoarder by now! It isn't the cleanest or most organized Home Goods I've been to nor do they have a huge inventory of dinnerware (I almost always go exclusively for dinnerware) but by golly, they have the most extensive selection of pots/pans and cooking utensils I've ever seen. There aren't a lot of hidden gems at this location except for THIS table mirror which is a complete knockoff of Milan-based Studiopep's marble version, but for 1/40th the price. I just need to switch the ends to brass screw caps and I'll fool everyone from afar! It's next to Target and about a block away from the 2 and 5 Flatbush Ave/Brooklyn College station. read more

I tried to return a cushion that I bought less than 2 months ago for $30 and was told that they could only refund me $4 because the value had been reduced to $4. They could have given me a store credit as I was buying furniture but they did not. The manager was called and made aware that I was upset but he did not budge and did not help in any way. I try not to shop on Amazon and try to support local businesses but this doesn't help at all. I just bought the 2 tables I was going to buy there on Amazon. I also just moved to an empty 2 bedroom apartment and was planning on buying most everything I need there but I'll just have to go spend my money elsewhere. Terrible customer service. read more

I absolutely adore HomeGoods. It's definitely a go-to when it comes to accessories for our apartment.. So you can imagine my excitement when this store opened up a few years ago. Whether its seasonal stuff, picture frames lamps (awesome selection), area rugs, or kitchen stuff you'll find it in HomeGoods. Particularly this HomeGoods. They've always got stocked shelves and new products rolling in. And of course its conveniently located near BK College, right across the street from Modell's and the subway (2/5 lines) and next door to Target, Payless, Children's Place & David's Bridal. HomeGoods is a great place to find home-related stuff from furniture to kitchen accessories to luxury linens and towels... and they even carry a lot of gourmet food products. They are owned by the T.J. Maxx company, so most of their stuff is surplus and/or unsold (last season's) merchandise... but that's okay by me b/c they have some awesome stuff. On my last visit, I picked up a great throw pillow for my couch for $8 as well as some high-end olive oil and some awesome luxury hand soap for my bathroom. I had actually gone into the store to find a rug for the apartment I recently renovated, and, although they had some awesome rugs, all of them were too big for my space. This particular HomeGoods location is convenient to those who use public transportion. I just hopped on the 5 train and made my way out. However, they also have a parking deck for those who want to drive in. As for appearance, this location is updated looking and is very clean, well-kept, and spacious. And, on the day I went, there were not a lot of shoppers, so I was able to move my way around the store without being plowed over like in so many other stores around these parts. read more

This Home goods location just made it by the a hair, to three stars personally. I've been to this Home goods location on three separate occasions. The first time, I simply wanted to check it out (having never been to a home goods store). Upon entrance, everything looks nicely placed with particular attention to show casing all their fine China and glass wears. However, the glitz and glamour of it all begin to fade as you venture deeper and meet with chaos. Decorative pillows have made its way into the succulents section, throws on top of serving trays, packaged. Oodles stuffed into a potted fern, what in the entire "F"! Didn't even bother to traverse the remaining departments and went home. Second occasion, I was walking by and spied this delectable teal blue chest (A rare find). Very solid and beautiful (made in India), unfortunately there were no male staff members at all that day to help, so my husband and father had to carry it out them selves. Third occasion, I grabbed a few very nice floor vase's and dodged all the riff-raft, broke goods, items falling apart etc, purchased and left. Bottom line: This store will perhaps house some interesting and rare finds, grab them as soon as possible, however be aware that a bulk of its products are (to me anyway) 99 cent, discount store decor. Be ready for ridiculous long lines and check your item throughly to assure it's not damaged anywhere. read more

Just paid $40 for a clock that broke right inside the store because of their cart that locked itself at the exit. Manager said they wouldn't replace it. half of their stuff are broken and in poor condition in the store but they wouldn't replace a clock that broke inside the store, shame. This Home Goods at Triangle Junction Mall next to Brooklyn College is pretty good! The location is not easy to get to and is located in a very busy traffic area. My other option is upper west side which is even less convenient. So coming early at 11am on a Sunday works well for me. The selections seen large and a good variety. From experienced with shopping at home goods if you see something you like take it now because it will gone by the next visit. Note- subway station just a block away. read more

So, I've been to this store twice and I must say they have a great selection of items. In comparison to marshalls or TJ Maxx it sort of compares but their prices are a tad higher than marshalls and TJ Maxx. However, I did notice the items here are in better shape than both of those stores. Also, if you see something you like...BUY IT! You might not find it later on. The staff here is nice and you see them working and not on their phones or chatting away. Only 4 stars because of the parking. It's horrendous! I say pay the garage if you can't find anything near. Basically all Home Goods is a treasure hunt..where you have to hunt to find something cool to decorate your home with. This is not the first Home Goods I've been too but it's one of my favorite locations because sometimes a Home Goods can be barren. This location in Brooklyn was full of stuff. I have an apartment to decorate so I've been visiting every Home Goods treasure hunting. In the corner of this store, one Sunday morning, I ran across a torquoise bench that I loved. I sat on it to claim the bench. I was waiting for my bf to pass by the corner of the store. I was hoping and praying because I know if I got up, I would lose my treasure, the torquoise bench...finally he saw me waving him down while sitting on the bench. I knew if I let it go, it would be gone! As we were unloading the bench from the car to bring it up to my apartment, a woman stopped us and asked us where we got the bench....HOME GOODS! Rejoice, wannabe home decorators & enthusiasts- you can make all those interior design ideas come alive (even on a budget) at Home Goods. This is one of my newest precious finds and it is such a relief to be able to incorporate every idea even when I don't want to spend thousands only on a new rug. This store is located within a big plaza (look for the giant Target sign since it is more noticeable). There was a guy outside who played some really loud soul music. Some people might find it disruptive, but this was very soothing for me because he was playing all of my R&B favorites! read more

Hubby and I decided to spend our Saturday in Brooklyn and stopped here first. This was the biggest Home Goods we have ever been to in the NYC area. Note, we have been to a few in Long Island and this is by far the best. The selection was amazing and of very good quality. We even found a lovely white leather bench and bookcase for our office area. The staff was great. We parked in the garage and they watched our large pieces until we pulled the car around. I love good customer service. We will definitely be back. read more

I can say that I'm a home good regular. Usually these types of stores are a mess and the checkout is long. But, this location was very organized and I can't say clean because I found a lot of dust. I used to love this location as it's three stops of the bus which is at the end of my block. It's huge and the selection is great -- usually very organized, until this last trip a few days ago. Everything was on the floor and I swear each aisle violated fire safety codes. Same day I had the worst experiences with one of the employees, named Wanda. I'm 38 weeks pregnant but had to grab some things to finish up the nursery in time for the baby. I went to look at some throw blankets and pillows (which the section was a mess as was the rest of the store that day - inventory day perhaps?). While I had my eye on a stack of folded throws, out of my periphery I saw someone pull out a pillow that the blankets were sitting on top of, causing them to fall on the floor. I picked them up and looked through them. It was only then that I realized it was Wanda, the unhappy employee, that pulled out the pillow. The blankets I wasn't interested in I put back ON THE SHELF to which she growled, "Why would you put that there if it's not where you found it?". I was confused. She repeated herself and I said "well, considering I found them on the floor I didn't want to put them back there, but I'll happily do it if you'd like me to." She then made a face and mumbled something under her breath. As I kept looking at the rest of the pillows she stood there with her arms crossed hawking me; as much as I wanted to ask what her issue was, I simply walked away and left my cart full of things I planned to purchase in the middle of her section. Homegoods, you lost out on a $300 purchase! And Wanda, I hope you enjoyed putting everything in the cart "back where I found it". read more

Home Goods used to be an alternative to shopping at Bed, Bath, & Beyond for staples like housewares, towels, linens, storage, etc. Now's it's more of an overstock thrift store that's comprised of 60% random pieces of tacky decorations, 15% couch pillows (good LORD! You do NOT need 5 aisles of pillows!) 15% small furniture items that are overpriced and frequently damaged from in-store use (you cannot believe the amount of customers using upholstered chairs as shoe-tying stations, footrests, personal porches, phone booths, kids play pens, even saw a woman change a sh*tty baby diaper on a couch - disgusting!). Don't come here if you're looking for nice matching towel sets, bathroom sets, linens, or storage containers anymore. The place is a mismatched garage sale. Also, DO NOT have your store associates block every other aisle "restocking" during peak shopping hours. Any manager with sensibility know to do this the hour or two before and after closing. I feel like a linebacker with the amount of headbutting & tackling I have to do just to find a shower caddy. read more

This is probably one of the few home goods that still carry actual home goods and not empty space or stuff that's been ransacked. There's usually good stuff on clearance you just have to look and be extra patient with the line that never moves read more

This store is a wreck. I shop in many Homegoods stores and they actually try to clean and organize everyday . I realize it is a task but they could try. The merchandise is falling off the shelves and impossible to see. Also, i have encountered some really nice employees here and ironically they are the men. The women on the registers and on the floor are rude and completely unhelpful. And move so purposely slowly, you'd think they were imprisoned. Snap out of it! It would make your day brighter if you were able to help someone. On the other hand, the managers and a few men i dealt with were lovely and gladly helpful. read more
