This was the first Brooklyn gift shop I went to when I first intentionally looked for a gift shop. I was already along cortelyou when I remembered this place existed. I needed some small trinkets for a friend's daughter and they delivered. I appreciate that it delves into different topics despite its small space such as food and related accessories, drink accessories (ex: corkscrews/drinking glasses), clothes and home design. Nine times out of ten I can get a gift for a friend from here that is unique. There are items there that are made by Brooklyn/nyc artists. But depending on when you visit, there are not too many things that are NYC/Brooklyn themed (there was an ash tray, a puzzle sets, magnets, & keychains when I visited off the top of my head). To my knowledge, there is not a website that shows all they have available without visiting but I would recommend looking at their Instagram to see what new things they have plus to see what events they are holding. It is relatively cramped even when you are one of two people perusing the store. Every time I visit, there are new items to look at. This of course means that some items you may have seen previously are gone. But they do have items that you are sure to see when you visit such as Breukelen Rub spices, Mike's hot honey and the street sign magnets that I love (I have multiple). There are so many amazing pieces to score; candles, jewelry, kids toys, dope pottery, gorgeous & clever greeting cards, beautiful tote bags, to name a few!! Very cute unique store in the Ditmas Park Area . definitely worth coming to and checking out some cool unique gifts for friends and family . They have things you won't find in a normal store . Very cute tote bags , aprons , cookbooks some very cute tee shirts and even jewelry! I went in yesterday to get a "Mikes Hot honey " for a white elephant gift and they had it in stock . I was a little disappointed in the price as it was 5 dollars less online but hey supply and demand ‍ However the owner was there and she made up for it .she was able to Wrap my gift and make it all pretty ! I've only discovered this store post-Covid but it is an incredibly clean store and there is a bottle of hand sanitizer right at the entrance and everyone coming in is encouraged to sanitize before coming into the store. The staff has masks on and I feel incredibly safe when shopping! On to the offerings: SOOOO many cute things to buy for yourself or for others- it truly makes the perfect go-to spot for buying any type of gift for any occasion. There are so many things I love about this place, that it's difficult to know where to start. First, they have such a great selections ranging from magnetic wooden blocks, puzzles, candles, jewelry and so many fun games to greeting cards galore. It's impossible not to find something in here for someone you love (or often also for yourself) Second, not only is it a local owner who is dedicated to the community, but the products in there have been carefully curated to be from predominantly small businesses, often local and sustainable too! Everything I have bought here has been a huge hit and I can't wait to pop in to get all my holiday shopping done. I always try to support local, small businesses, but this place makes it really easy. Everyone I have met who works there is warm, friendly and helpful and I never walk out without finding something that I love (after spending way too much time trying to narrow down what I'm going to get). It's super nice that there is a little gift/trinket shop in the neighborhood, it's saved me countless times for last minute gifts for housewarmings, baby showers, and birthdays. I'm a huge fan of their jewelry and housewares selection, and buy things here all the time for myself (more than I probably should, really). They don't have a ton of stock in general (it's a pretty small place), but what they have is really well curated, very reasonably priced, and mostly local and handmade. Also, the nail polish they carry is so so good. I did my toes recently and it's lasted three weeks so far without chipping. Recently bought some little gifts here for my parent's anniversary and they really liked them :) The atmosphere is great, and there are so many cute little trinkets here. The lady helping me was nice as well. And while some of the prices are a bit on the expensive side, I do understand that everything here is handmade and going towards a good cause. This shop has the most unique and beautiful gifts! The vibe is homey yet elegant and the easy-going owners, Susan and Jocelyn, are cheery and helpful and encourage browsing. I purchased a fantastic purse made from soda can pop tops that gets compliments every time I wear it and a beautiful mini portrait by renowned artist Daniel Minter. I also got some cuff links with pictures of the Brooklyn Bridge on them as a gift to a local politician, which he loved, of course! Shops like this are what make Brooklyn the best place in the world. They showcase beautiful items made by talented local artists at reasonable prices sans any hint of snobbish-ness. For example: I have a toddler and a newborn...for my Mother's Day gift I hired a babysitter so I could take myself for brunch and browse this shop at a leisurely pace. Tragedy: they were actually closed when I arrived - they were doing inventory. One of the owners overheard me say "Sadness!" as I walked away. I told her my tale of woe to compliment her - I love the store so much that visiting it was a special treat for me. She ended up chasing me down when I was a block away and inviting me for a "quick browse" while she and the other owners worked. "We're moms, too," she commiserated. "We get it." While I was there two of the owners helped me choose a bag for myself - a nearly impossible task because I was in love with four of the bags in the shop. I should mention that my new bag is HOT.
