I've only discovered this store post-Covid but it is an incredibly clean store and there is a bottle of hand sanitizer right at the entrance and everyone coming in is encouraged to sanitize before coming into the store. The staff has masks on and I feel incredibly safe when shopping! On to the offerings: SOOOO many cute things to buy for yourself or for others- it truly makes the perfect go-to spot for buying any type of gift for any occasion. Another great thing about this store is how a lot of the gifts are created by local artists! Be sure to stop in because you'll definitely find something:) read more

Such a cute spot! If you are ever looking for a custom gift to give to someone (or for yourself!) this is the place to stop at. Handmade jewelry, candles galore & specialized small batch food items, like tea & hot sauce. Some of the items are a little over priced but over all the place seemed affordable! Walked away with a chai tea concentrate that I'm excited to try! read more

This was the first Brooklyn gift shop I went to when I first intentionally looked for a gift shop. I was already along cortelyou when I remembered this place existed. I needed some small trinkets for a friend's daughter and they delivered. I appreciate that it delves into different topics despite its small space such as food and related accessories, drink accessories (ex: corkscrews/drinking glasses), clothes and home design. Nine times out of ten I can get a gift for a friend from here that is unique. There are items there that are made by Brooklyn/nyc artists. But depending on when you visit, there are not too many things that are NYC/Brooklyn themed (there was an ash tray, a puzzle sets, magnets, & keychains when I visited off the top of my head). To my knowledge, there is not a website that shows all they have available without visiting but I would recommend looking at their Instagram to see what new things they have plus to see what events they are holding. It is relatively cramped even when you are one of two people perusing the store. Every time I visit, there are new items to look at. This of course means that some items you may have seen previously are gone. But they do have items that you are sure to see when you visit such as Breukelen Rub spices, Mike's hot honey and the street sign magnets that I love (I have multiple). If I am looking for a gift for a friend and I wanted a twist, I would come looking here. Is there a guarantee that I will find what I want? Not necessarily but I will have fun trying read more

New ownership at this joint. I've lived in ditmas park for nearly 7 years. I never gave this place a chance until this year. There are so many amazing pieces to score; candles, jewelry, kids toys, dope pottery, gorgeous & clever greeting cards, beautiful tote bags, to name a few!! Support this business cause it's awesome & the people who work here are really sweet and helpful and the owner is a gem of a human. Already stocking up for holiday season and lots of birthdays. Stop in often to see their new wares - they add stuff all the time. read more

I absolutely adore this shop! Walking in is like going to a fancy toy shop for adults lol I've gotten many gifts for out of town friends who have loved every single unique find. Most recently I purchased these lovely berry bowls and a upcycled toy truck for my son. I had initially ordered the bowls online and went to pick up and the friendly employee was very kind and gentle with my son helping him make his decision. Definitely a wonderful go to in the neighborhood! read more

Brooklyn ARTery is my go-to source for gifts and crafty goods from/for the community. It's always fun to drop in and see what's new. And it's a special joy to discover what local artists have contributed their wares. From handmade origami gift boxes (by a precocious ten year old artisan) to more adult offerings (like jewelry, stationary, hand bags, etc), this small shop has just about everything you'll need for a nice, niche gift. Everyone who works here is really kind and helpful as well, so it's an all-around pleasant place. And special thanks to Julia for always being so kind and helpful--may your days be warm and sunny (but also I hope you find a winter sport to keep you entertained til summer rolls around again :o) read more

I love Brooklyn ARTery and how well they support local business owners (like themselves). Their Instagram account is always current. I saw new magnets available (repping local neighborhood street signs) so I immediately went over to grab my cross streets before they sold out! The constant rotation of locally made goods is what keeps this shop open and I'm so glad to have them in our neighborhood. read more

Wow! So many beautiful things! I wanted to buy everything! Happily felt very safe and supported by lovely shop owner. I'll be back soon!

There are so many things I love about this place, that it's difficult to know where to start. First, they have such a great selections ranging from magnetic wooden blocks, puzzles, candles, jewelry and so many fun games to greeting cards galore. It's impossible not to find something in here for someone you love (or often also for yourself) Second, not only is it a local owner who is dedicated to the community, but the products in there have been carefully curated to be from predominantly small businesses, often local and sustainable too! Everything I have bought here has been a huge hit and I can't wait to pop in to get all my holiday shopping done. I always try to support local, small businesses, but this place makes it really easy. Everyone I have met who works there is warm, friendly and helpful and I never walk out without finding something that I love (after spending way too much time trying to narrow down what I'm going to get). A true gem!! read more

Never had anything but great visits to this store. The owner and her employees are super friendly and their selection of products is always impressive! On many occasions, I have found the perfect gift at Brooklyn ARTery. The selection is unique, creative, and full of surprises. I've found great "Secret Santa" gifts for the office party for around $10 to beautiful jewelry for my sister for $80-ish. Many things locally made! And you can tell the owner enjoys her shop - I've always heard her being warm and engaging with customers, myself included. read more

It's super nice that there is a little gift/trinket shop in the neighborhood, it's saved me countless times for last minute gifts for housewarmings, baby showers, and birthdays. I'm a huge fan of their jewelry and housewares selection, and buy things here all the time for myself (more than I probably should, really). They don't have a ton of stock in general (it's a pretty small place), but what they have is really well curated, very reasonably priced, and mostly local and handmade. Also, the nail polish they carry is so so good. I did my toes recently and it's lasted three weeks so far without chipping. They also sport a super friendly staff and a really nice vibe in general. read more

Recently bought some little gifts here for my parent's anniversary and they really liked them :) The atmosphere is great, and there are so many cute little trinkets here. The lady helping me was nice as well. And while some of the prices are a bit on the expensive side, I do understand that everything here is handmade and going towards a good cause. The only odd thing, is the one guy working there kept staring at me from time to time! I don't know if he was bored or not. Just a little weird. Other than that, will definitely come back for someone's birthday gift or a little something artsy and cool for myself :) read more

I am not from NYC, but my aunt lives in the area and every time I visit I have to go to this store. They have great art, neat gadgets, awesome vibes and cool jewelry. Some items are a little expensive, but it is all one of a kind read more

This shop has the most unique and beautiful gifts! The vibe is homey yet elegant and the easy-going owners, Susan and Jocelyn, are cheery and helpful and encourage browsing. I purchased a fantastic purse made from soda can pop tops that gets compliments every time I wear it and a beautiful mini portrait by renowned artist Daniel Minter. I also got some cuff links with pictures of the Brooklyn Bridge on them as a gift to a local politician, which he loved, of course! If you're looking for interesting, fun, hand-crafted housewares and gifts, this is your shop. What a welcome addition to the neighborhood! read more

Shops like this are what make Brooklyn the best place in the world. They showcase beautiful items made by talented local artists at reasonable prices sans any hint of snobbish-ness. For example: I have a toddler and a newborn...for my Mother's Day gift I hired a babysitter so I could take myself for brunch and browse this shop at a leisurely pace. Tragedy: they were actually closed when I arrived - they were doing inventory. One of the owners overheard me say "Sadness!" as I walked away. I told her my tale of woe to compliment her - I love the store so much that visiting it was a special treat for me. She ended up chasing me down when I was a block away and inviting me for a "quick browse" while she and the other owners worked. "We're moms, too," she commiserated. "We get it." While I was there two of the owners helped me choose a bag for myself - a nearly impossible task because I was in love with four of the bags in the shop. I should mention that my new bag is HOT. Thank you, Brooklyn Artery! read more

My daughter got a night light here which we BOTH love and I got spices for my sister which she flipped over. Great addition to the neighborhood. I'm so happy they're here! read more
