If you need customer service, you have to find someone. I saw only one staff restocking when I was inside. Store is a bit small too and aisles narrow. Difficult to navigate if crowded or with shopping cart or stroller. Ended up purchasing a mug and a gift set. Recommended for quick buy and variety. A bit of a chaotic experience at this TJ Maxx everytime when compared to the Marshalls a few blocks away. I like to tag team the two, and the Marshalls with two floors is a consistently better experience than this "megaplex". The lines at this location are always super long, and the clearance section is always a mess. There's a lot more food available, but it's also much more busy. However, the staff are always welcoming and patient. read more

Pretty cool T.J.Maxx i bought something at the Wall street Manhattan location T.j.maxx and i didn't have my card with me , Jasmine was so helpful and and friendly to help me credit my account , blessings to her . wouldn't mind coming back here . this is located in the Midwood section of Brooklyn with plenty of shops near by Target, Marshalls, Foot locker , snipes sneaker & apparel store , Starbucks, Dunkin, Raising canes , etc shops P.S. : I went thru all this and i end up not wearing the shirt i bought for my family reunion & auntie birthday celebration something came up , at least I gave my aunt a gift , but good morals of the story jasmine was really nice and helpful , I'll definitely stick with this Brooklyn location I never been to the T.j.maxx gateway mall location ! My friend went here and gave it 4 stars so I thought hey, it's worth a try. I mustered up 3. The staff was friendly other than a small, sour man who looked to be a manager. The rudeness he showed to employees and customers was appaling! He was supposed to sanitize the baskets but that didn't happen either. The store was filled with people pushing and grabbing their way through a shopping trip, trying on clothing in plain sight. I saw some cute things and a few nice snacks, but this mini Maxx was not delivering any goods for me. My bf found a few nice things but he too was turned off by the aggressively shoppers in the space. Mayne coming here on a weekday would yield better results. Better luck next time. read more

I understand this is a busy neighborhood and the store gets crowded which is why I go later in the evening when it's less busy. I also forgive the long lines because that seems to be common in every TJ Maxx I go to. But what I can't forgive is during the summer, almost every time I walk into this store, they have absolutely no working air conditioning. It happens so often that I even stopped going to this place in general and every time someone suggests it, I tell them avoid it. In the winter, I'm sure it's fine but in the summer, forget it. How is this even humane for their employees? Better off going to Marshalls nearby. read more

I like that this TJ Maxx carries a nice variety of things. The workers here are very helpful and willing to help look for the items I need. Even for the nice things and nice workers, it is really hard to give this location a high rating due to the crazy lines here. I came here on a holiday and even with eleven cashiers, the lines nearly reach to the back of the store. Recently, I came here to make a return. Without browsing for anything, I went to stand on the line that was already midway to the back of the store. Only because I needed to make a return, I continue standing there for one whole hour. I saw many customers leaving from the lines, giving up on the wait. Once I got near the front, I noticed only three cashiers for at least forty to fifty people waiting on line. They really need to recruit more workers or assign more workers to the cashiers. read more

Typical TJ Maxx inventory, layout, and stocking. The best part is it's right next to the subway in the middle of a busy commercial area right next to a residential area thus very very convenient. Staff are friendly, interior is kept very clean, and a security keeps out the riff-raff. In the basement is a large though double parking on E 15 St is very popular. Kings Highway Car Service is 2 storefronts adjacent for those who need it. read more

I came in here to kill some time because I was in the neighborhood. Plus I needed a new swimdress. The clothing on the racks looks either torn, worn countless times or just donation clothing. This store is in Need of more staff..... There were crying kids at every aisle that I turned into. At least the fitting rooms was clean. There are messing inventory laying around at every corner. Located right by the Kings Highway Q line subway station, TJ Maxx was one of the necessary stores in the neighborhood when they opened back in couple years ago. It used to be managed better but lately I see lots of junk like items as well. Usually Marshall's are the ones with lower overall quality and more messier but Sheepshead Bay Marshall may be a better option than TJ. So you can go couple extra stops. Messy. Now I had no reason to step into this place, but of course I had to. Recently I've had a face mask obsession and TJ Maxx and Marshalls (I mean, the same company) have been the place to ge them! The first section you approach upon entering is the "Beauty" section. Smaller than most other Tj Maxxs', this one was suuuper messy and disorganized. There was a woman who worked there who was standing nearby with a clipboard, just watching people. Customers pushed around one another, looking for beauty goods they didn't need. The space is so small for all the products that they have. The shelves were more organized than the outer aisles, but still there was a lot of product. The tables that had beauty products on them were extremely neat, probably the neatest, most organized thing in the store! I will say I didn't venture much further (even with product in hand) because the line was ridiculous!! I maybe might come back, but not on a Sunday afternoon. read more

A complete disaster of a store. There's tons of stuff on the floor all the time, and although I see a good amount of staff, no one seems to care to pick anything up. The cashiers are slow and every time I come here I have to stand in line atleast 20-30mins. The bathroom looks like it's straight out of a horror movie, no toilet paper, feces all over the floor, I walked in and had to walk right out. First of all as an Senior manager at my work place. Due to my observations I must say GOOD JOB to all my associate for working hard and doing their work. What I will say the managers needs to improve their work skills. I see many of them being lazy and not doing their work, keep on daunting associate for tjmaxx credit cards and pressuring them. I could see the associate anger and being mistreated. I saw one of the associate in the beauty department feeling down because they would keep on keep calling her name and out of anger she would curse. As standing in the lines, if someone would to get a card they would ring the bell and call out who hasn't got one. This is not how a manager should be, instead they would discourage them and keep on eye on a person for not getting one. VERY poor and unsettling environment. I can see why associate have moody faces all the time because it sucks. The worst manager I would say is Olivia. The attitude she has is DISGUSTING. I could tell the faces she makes to the associate and has their favorite. She should be fired honestly. I will never hire her. Very disgusting managers I would say, very unhappy with the workplace. The store manager also needs to be awake!!! and see what is going on. If I was the manager working there I would never pick and choose who should I be nice and rude too. Plus the best working associate should be given a promotion for them working hard in your store. It's not fair to treat your workers with DISRESPECT!. I love me some TJ Maxx. However, this location needs serious help. I'm really writing this post Bc of the awful workers on the floor yesterday. So many workers just doing nothing, having conversation, cursing across the store and one worker in particular kept bothering a young lady who was trying to work in her section and he just would not leave her alone. She started yelling his name and for him to go to his section. It was all extremely inappropriate. Was there even a manager on duty? If so, the manager needs to go as well. One male worker was just walking back and forth between aisles doing absolutely nothing. One hung out on a rack having conversation with another worker. I honest went shopping where I had the worst anxiety attack due to the small isles and many people just standing in one spot not letting you through! All the smalls are with the large etc!!!!! I don't live in Brooklyn anymore, but I've been around, and I think this is one of the smallest TJ Maxxes I've ever been to. It's probably why their selection is so limited, but it's pretty decent. I like browsing the shoes and purse sections the most. For the shoes, I'm a size 6-6.5 and I feel that they have more variety for shoes size 7 and up. If you're a size 8 and 9 you're in more luck for real trendy awesome shoes. Smaller sizes have almost no selection. And forget it if you're a size 5. Clothes, it's a hit or miss. You just need to look in between everything to find something you like since there's a lot on the racks. Service is not too great. Don't expect anyone to greet you at the door or ask you if you need help. The worst part is the line, it's always very long. If you want to beat the lines, I'd try going to this store in the morning. Cashiers tend to be really slow or everyone's squabbling to get a deal on this place. At least it's not too crowded in the store. I am thankful there is a TJ Maxx in the Kings Highway area. It's a bit of a relief from just Enzyme Shoe Lab and Steve Madden since they are both extremely pricey places, and this place you can find great deals. Especially if you look carefully! read more

What a neat little location! I made my way over to TJ Maxx to pick up some supplies after the gym. I was having a dinner party later on in the day and was happy to find affordable and nice looking wine glasses! The store is pretty big. If you are a pet lover, there is a wide variety of pet products (bedding, clothes, toys, even good snacks). Interesting facts is this location is open 24 hrs! Back in November, I saw ads for a new TJ Maxx in the midwood area so I had to check it out. The location of this store is just off the corner of 15th street. I still remember the stores that were there before it. The location once belonged to a supermarket that closed down almost as soon as it opened. I hope TJ Maxx can have better luck. I remember when this store first opened, there was a Huge line of people waiting to get it. The security was only allowing a few people at a time in the store and had to wait until a few people leave before they let a few more in. That was insane and it was like people are getting in line to meet some hot celebrity hunk. ^^ Because of the huge line, I decided not to go into the store until a week after. Upon my entering the store, it immediately reminded me of Macy's, KMart, Sears, JCPenney ---all those department stores. Like usual, before I shop for clothes in any department store, I had to check their shoes and lingerie department immediately to access if it's even my kind of store. ^^ I checked those departments first and it turned out to be disappointing. :-( There were other findings too but let me tell you that it was disappointing enough that I don't think I need to go back there. My findings are: 1-The store sells lots of "named" brand clothing. Some are popular brands like Calvin Klein, Guess, Bebe. However, it's all over the place and you will have to search their sale rack for it. They did attempt to sort everything by size but it's just so out of hand anyways so if you want something you will have to spend a whole day looking. 2-The clothing seem to cater to taller people and I'm just speaking for the women's section only. I'm a short and small individual. I have not found a piece that would fit me. 3-The store seems to only sell clothing that is more conservative like for the teacher or office kind of gal. There are absolutely no club wear. Even their bikinis were a bit too toned down. The clothes are casual and conservative. Not that it's a bad thing to be conservative or casual. It is perfectly fine as a matter of fact but I'm saying that it just wasn't for me. 4-The prices can be worthwhile if you can find what you need. The sales rack are always packed. 5-They have a dress form I want but can't carry! ^^ 6-They sell garden supplies and cool birdcages that other department stores don't sell. I'm not saying don't shop here. It's good if you like to buy "brand names for less" and have the time to dig through everything and search for it. I just didn't like the overall style of the clothes like sold and the shoes and the lingerie department just didn't work out for me. Better luck next time for me. read more

No lingerie section?!?! Are you for serious TJ Maxx? Their shoe department is garbage. My size (6.5-7) has the tiniest saddest little section. Otherwise, there is good stuff to be found here but you have to go midweek. By the time the weekend rolls around the store is a mess and there aren't many goodies to be found. And if you see something you like, don't hesitate because it won't be there when you change your mind and go back a few days later. I learned that the hard way. read more

Whose fault that this place is not organized? The workers? They try and try and try again and again. We, customers, leaving mess after self but pointing on sales persons. Great discounts but hate the long lines. Also the people that come shop here have poor etiquette. The clothing aisles are narrow and people dont know when to move to allow others to look at clothes. Also ive noticed in the women sections, people are pushing entire strollers into aisles. How do people shop like this? It's busy usually and I find clothes on the floor, their bag section kept untidy. The gym bags/suitcases were all in a pile on the floor. Their bathroom is disgusting and kept unclean. It's a shame because I almost always find things I want to buy but then I look at the line and I change my mind, and leave empty handed.
