It's with a heavy heart I'm writing this review. This is solely on Primark's return policy and the aloof manager. I bought a coat here exactly one week ago (31st/Jan/2024) I was assisted by the lovely Shari. The first time I wore it all seemed fine. Then, with each step the buttons and zippers were becoming undone. I would refasten walk about four steps and same. As I was out, I stopped at a tailor who quoted me more than the $26 I paid for the coat. He quoted me $35 to fix it. Naaahhh, that makes no sense. I returned home for another coat and hung the broken one, planning to return it. I mean things happen, I got a faulty item, no biggie. It was not used again after this mishap. Couldn't be used. Today, 6th Jan, one week later, (first week of February 2024), I requested an exchange. I really liked the coat but, it was sold broken. I just wanted one that could be worn out. I told the cashier I wore it once and it started falling apart while wearing it. She checked with another cashier who informed us it couldn't be returned because the tag was off. I don't wear clothes with the tags still on them so of course the tag was off. However, I HAD the tag AND my receipt. Yes, I hold on to tags and receipts for a while. I asked the two cashiers if there was someone else I could speak with, ya know, plead my case. In comes the manager. He reiterated what the ladies said but was condescending about it. Not so much the BS he said, but how he said it. You had to have been there. Like I was trying to scam them. Like I was committing high treason against Primark. He informed me they couldn't exchange it because they wouldn't be able to sell it as it was worn. W H A T?!? But I just told you the fasteners aren't working. What do you mean you wouldn't be able to sell it? You absolutely shouldn't try to sell this unless you're giving a huge discount and FULL DISCLOSURE which I doubt. How you wanna sell me a damaged item but be upset with me for trying to return it? After he gave his lil speech, he mockingly asked, "IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE?" Then walked off. The young cashier looked embarrassed for him but I continued speaking with her pleasantly as I repacked my coat. It wasn't her fault. So now, do shoppers need to test their clothes on the street? Like, keep tags on while wearing it so they are allowed to return it if there's an issue? I feel like that's what you're saying. You're telling me if the tag was on, I would have gotten my lil exchange? Because I've exchanged items here without questions simply because the tag was on. He could have checked the coat and would have realized it wasn't worn. Couldn't be worn. If I wanted a robe I would have bought that. Aycaramba man! Eat my shorts! I'm done with Primark. **holds chest in agony** Some people always wanna mess shxt up. Joy-suckers. I've always had such a good thing with them too man. I'm hurt y'all. That's not the service I'm accustomed to at Primark. At all, at all. Isn't it sad when staff on the floor gives AMAZING SERVICE but a manager, A MANAGER is the one who messes your experience up? It wasn't about the money because **clears throat** it's Primark. I didn't want any money back. I just wanted the item I paid for last week to work... For a few months. Well until at least this week. Seems he's so full of himself, he cannot comprehend when situations need a different plan of action. All he had to do was properly inspect the coat, ensure it wasn't worn then make a managerial decision that I needed to be made whole again. I paid for a faulty coat. What's the big deal? Maybe he didn't have the authority to do so on the spot? I'll have the fasteners fixed and gift it to someone in need. So there's a positive in this. Hey you, do BETTER sir. And yes, "that's all." I don't know what's happened to native New Yorkers--or whether the rave reviews are because so many Yelpers are transplants who refuse to shop locally. But I just don't get it when people rave about the opening of a foreign-owned or carpetbagging retail chain as if it's some major gamechanging establishment filling a massive hole in NYC retail. Primark is no better than Burlington Coat Factory, Marshalls or the millions of local bargain basements that already exists here, particularly Telco, Bobby's Department Store or any of those stores that has "Discount" in its name. Arguably, I would even say that it's a massive downgrade. I've shopped for clothes for decades at bargain basements and I've never had quality control issues with them. I still have shirts and other items that I bought at places like VIM and Pretty Girl ages ago. Primark really puts the "F" in both Fast Fashion and the grade, F. My first purchase here were two pairs of tennis shoes, and they fall apart within six months in exactly the same way (the sole right under the ball of the foot). Even the super cheap shoes that I used to get at Payless or Parade (RIP) lasted longer than that. That's not to say that Primark is totally terrible. It's very hit and miss. Some of the accessories are good, but almost all of their inventory is interchangeable with other local bargain basements and big box stores, so I don't get what the fuss is all about. I bought a very nice combination wallet and ID holder there. I later lost it, went back to Primark, couldn't find it and was able to order a much better and nicer one online for the same price. I bought a faux leather jacket here, but only because I missed out buying an identical jacket at BJs. So, I dunno. Primark is maybe good for an impulse buy, but this wouldn't be my top choice for clothing. It's just OK. read more

Primark has everything you need for the entire family, from babies to kids to teens to young men's and womens - they have it all. And it is all affordable! They're a European outfit so some of the merchandise has foreign sizing. They have a handy guide to help you sort it out. And when in doubt you can always ask the many associates walking the floor. Personally, I recommend the ones working at the fitting rooms since they seem to have more knowledge of the sizing. They also offer shoes, housewares and luggage! read more

This place is always busy. I guess it being in a mall helps. The staff are always friendly and they keep the place really clean. I rarely see items on the floors or unfolded. this location has 3 floors which leaves enough walking room when needed. The lines do get very long and there doesn't seem to be enough cashiers but they work as quickly as they can. read more

I wont be returning to Primark. CityPoint Brooklyn Primark. I had a weird exchange with a fitting room girl today. I brought my Primark in store bag to her podium, she told me I am allowed to take 10 items into the fitting room, I counted my 10, took the number from her and placed the bag with the rest of my items at the bottom of the provided shelf as there were other things I wanted to try on. I tried on the first 10, brought them out to the fitting room attandant. I was still wearing one shirt. I told her I am bringing out the 9 and showed her the shirt I was still wearing would make 10. I told her I am taking in a few more items and began to count. I counted the items to show her at least three times. As I am walking back to the fitting room she yells very loudly, "Hey, how many do you have", I asked her to please stop embarrassing me, I've already counted the items for her. She said you have to bring out all 10 to take in the other 10. That would mean I would have to return to the dressing room, remove the shirt to bring it back out when I can just not have to do that, plus I didn't have 10 more items to try on I only had about 5 left. So I counted the items again and went into the fitting room. She said loudly, you can't do that, I said I'm already all the way out of the fitting room so returning to change and come back out does not work for me. She calls the security, security and the manager, comes back, at this point I'm done trying on the other 4 items and I'm dressed. I hear them outside going from dressing room to dressing room, opening the curtains, telling customers two people can't be in here together as the as the young hasidic girls tried on their clothes. They went to another room saying hey, you cant have more items than your number. I walked out dressed, with all the items, now manager and security are combing the fitting room looking for me. I walked to her to hand her the items, she starts yelling again, "there she is that the lady", I felt so humiliated. Neither the manager nor the security guard approached me because clearly I hadn't done anything wrong, but this girl continued to yell, "that's her" I asked her to stop several times and she kept yelling I have to tell my manager. I was so incensed I put everything down and walked out. I didn't purchase the items I had been eyeing now for 2 weeks, I was so looking forward to my little bit of shopping in the middle of my day off. Only to be antagonized by this loud ridiculous girl, who insisted on calling security and managers on me for nothing. The worst part, after a walk around the block I returned to talk to a manager. I was told the main manager was not there so I asked who i could speak to next. I had a talk with a manager, white guy with long-ish hair, who assured me he would have a talk with her, but he laughed when i told him the story I didn't feel reassured or heard. At this point in my life, if I am not treated well where I go, I surely will not be returning. There are too many shops available for me, so if I have a whiff of being discriminated against by staff, I will not be returning to your shop. There are just too many options out there. Obviously, that fitting room girl, assessed me, a very professional person as someone she should call security on for going into the fitting room with less than 10 items, and I can't help but wonder what about me made her feel she should call security as I was walking away from her, back to my fitting room. I've been coming here for a while. I always felt they had good prices, and a good selection. The service today was just awful though. I tried to find a few things that I needed and tried to get some help. Someone was able to help, but one of the customer service ladies had a huge attitude. Huge stores up to three or four floors the only thing is the line is a fairy very very, very long. Best to go shopping in the middle of the day or early morning if you're by yourself. If you were people have a designated person to stay online when you're ready to make a purchase. Love the clothing and the blazers . There were always a good two for me and their travel stuff is pretty good too as well pretty affordable. just the only thing I hate is their return policy. I love going to Primark when I went to Europe and was ecstatic when they bought the stores to the states. I have been to the locations in Staten Island and Kings Plaza. This was my first time at this location. The store was big and had tons of sections to find some cheap goodies. I didn't really see too many staff members other than security. The store was clean and well organized. They had tons of Disney branded items that were affordably priced. A great place to find a good deal. read more

Glad this place reopened with more Covid precautions. Adored their wide selection of clothing styles to chose from. Similar to H&M or even Zara, Primark offers trendy European style at a discounted price. There's three floors of shopping from intimates to home furnishings, to kids clothes and accessories. Even though it seems like endless shopping within the store, it somewhat became quite over crowded. I didn't even bother to ask for the fitting room since there's so many people in the store. PRIMARK! Where has this store been hiding my whole life? I've been back a few times now and my favorite items include: that harry potter shirt I found for $7, the super duper warm & adorable polka dot sweatshirt for $8, the beautifully knit scarf for $9, and the knit baby hats + gloves --- 2 & hats & 2 gloves for $4! Typically the low cost would be cause for concern but the items I've purchased are all 100% cotton and have kept their shape and color well. I don't think you can go wrong w/ shopping for baby/kids clothes here... so many options and all at suuuuchhh a good price point! The store is three levels -- women, women/kids, men/home. Elevators + escalators will take you to all levels. And up on the 3rd floor there's a few benches w/ charging stations if you should need one. Staff has always been kind when I've interacted with them -- whether it be trying to find a size or at the cash register. There's also a seasonal section with the home goods -- before the holidays they had cute Christmas ornaments and stocking stuffers. A couple other random notes: b/c Primark is Europe based -- double check the sizes before you purchase. A small/medium/large in Europe has a totally different fit than the same sizes in the US. If you have the time - try on before you buy. their pajama section is surprisingly large and full of variety. I went to Primark for the first time to buy clothes for my 2 grandaughters, ages 4 and 5. The clothes don't have sizes on them, just ages. My 4 y/o wears a 4T and the 5 y/o wears a 6-7. I can't buy clothes by age. There was a really cute outfit that said "age 2-4". I have no idea what size it was and I wasn't going to guess. My grandaughters live far away and I don't think they have a Primark near them to return the clothes if they don't fit. All the clothes also appear to be made in China. I had never heard of Primark before but I was curious. Then I went inside, looked at the clothing and aisles packed with stuff. Everything was laid out very nicely. I saw a pair of cargo pants that looked really cool until I peered closer - the seams were already coming undone and the stitching looked terrible - zigzag, a mark of a sweatshop worker toiling in some developing country or China where they don't care about the quality of the work, just produce as much junk as you can and sell it as fast as you can. Don't be fooled by the "department store" trappings. This is a formula that's been refined by H&M, Zara, and other peddlers of "fast fashion." This is just another dollar store with upgraded lighting. It's for the masses on a budget who don't have the patience to save up enough money for quality stuff and just want to buy little "treats" for themselves - Primark clothing or shoes are clearly not meant to last (thin thin material) but they last long enough for you to bring it to the cashier and give you the illusion that you're hip and trendy despite being knee deep in credit card debt or broke. After a few uses, it all goes into the landfill. If you want quality goods, go to Macy's clearance rack with some coupons or a consignment shop where the wealthy donate lightly used goods that last forever and sell it for a song. Stores like Primark are killing the planet and causing more climate change but until the masses get wise and stop lining the pockets of the unethical wealthy exploiting low wage labor for cheap goods, stores like this will proliferate. read more

Be nice! This is a breathe of cheap air in expensive NYC streets. Trust me. Honestly, this isn't a 5 star shopping experience whatsoever but I'm giving it 4 stars for the fact that even though it's always super packed, the line goes pretty fast and it's actually incredibly understandable as far as why it's packed. EVERYTHING IS DIRT CHEAP AND DECENT QUALITY! WHERE ELSE CAN YOU GO FOR THAT BESIDES A THRIFT SHOP?! I've also never gotten attitude or any kind of smack from the workers. They seem to extremely patient amongst the chaos of it all. Wonderful staff. They also stay open at least a whole hour later then the rest of the mall. Ok I must say I enjoy shopping at Primark every so often. Why do you ask??? Hmmm well I like the little accessories such as ; scarfs, hats, winter gear etc. These items are perfect to accent an outfit. Btw I really like the Pjs so com-forty especially winter ones. I purchased a gray 2 piece set fluffy so cute felt like Q TIP lol. The criticism I have of the store is that the people that work there do not help you make no effort. I suppose since this location is only a few days open, they are working out the kinks of a behemoth location such as this one. Everyone is moving about in a bit of a confused state (customers and employees) but as a whole the atmosphere is okay. Though the have a plethora of goods, the main staples of face wipes, socks and jeans, much of it is not my particular taste. Where this Staten Island succeeds is in their selection of dresses. Hey y'all, so I've been shopping in the Primark Store in Kings Plaza for quite some time now and I've NEVER been disappointed! Their baby and children's sections - AWESOME!!! Every time I need a cute quick outfit for my little ones, I can get just what I want (including undies and shoes). Now for big mama on the other hand (Me), it's hit or miss. I can honestly say if I had to brand my style, it would be Old Navy meets Macys .. I dunno. Anyhoo, their adult clothing doesn't always hit the mark for my taste. Affordable clothing in big ass Kings Plaza. Love the selection and lines have never been incredibly long (probably because I came on a weekday. The dressing rooms are clean, there are three floors, they have clothing for women, men, children and babies, cosmetics, home and beauty items etc. This is the British equivalent of H&M, Forever21 so you get what you pay for. I stocked up on jeans from here. They're between $10 to $15. The activewear is affordable too. Lingerie for the ladies is budget friendly. My clothing are still pretty good after being in the washer. The first time I heard about Primark was through a coworker who tells me their clothing and practically everything in the store is super affordable and chic. While paying for my items, I read that Primark does not advertise which is why they can sell their items at a lower cost; they save on advertising fees but people who know Primark generally loves/like Primark I guess. I was pretty excited to know they were opening this store in Kings Plaza because for the longest time, KP has been pretty dead. Now, with Primark, JCP and soon to open Zara, I think KP will become a heavy trafficked mall like it used to be when I came as a child! I came to KP when Primark first opened or its opening weekend and it was super crowded. I dont do well with large crowds so I decided to make a quick round to see what was offered but i did not make a purchase. I then came back when school started and on a weekday where there is definitely less people around and I got to take my time in the store. For the most part, what they offer is similiar to what H&M and Forever offers as many realized but for dollars cheaper. Considering the price point, I do not expect the quality to be stellar. I got a jacket for $35 bucks, something that would prob be 50 in H&M and I am excited to wear it when the weather gets a little cooler! They have a massive offering- from kids/baby clothing to shoes and clothes for men as well! They are three story tall and you probably can spend an hour in there. Cash registers are quick, though the line can be long but it moves fast anyway. read more

It's just been open about a week and I'm so happy! It's a huge store with four floors and there's a lot of workers where you don't have to wait a long time to check out. I went there primarily to get Harry Potter merchandise but they didn't have all of it as of yet. I wanted to get some bags, shoes, key rings, and stuffed animals. I didn't plan on buying anything else but I picked up cute lingerie and tee shirts including a Harry Potter funko pop speckled shirt. The store has fabulous deals and well stocked. Three floors of fully stocked merchandise. I gave it a very low rating because each floor as 13 registers but out of that number there was only 3 cashiers on each floor. I arrived here when the store opens so that I could get in and out. That didn't help. No matter which floor I went to there was a very long line. Great merchandise for a good price but expect to wait on long line lines with rude cashiers who are having private conversations among themselves. read more

There was also a beauty section that carried brands like L'Oréal and garnier micellar water. I seen a lot of deals being advertised but I personally don't like spending money in stores like this because the quality is majority nylon polyester rayon, etc crap. However, if I do see a cute dress and it's about $5 or under and I'm in here already I'll probably buy it because I love a deal lol read more

I loved the Harry Potter collection they had out after the Beauty and the Beast collection. Wide variety for all genders. I flipped when I noticed they sold flip flops for only 90cents!! Theyre always bringing in new shipments. Glad they opened up in Kings Plaza. It brought back shoppers to the mall. Went here over the weekend to check the placeout, and was amazed at the prices. To me, it felt kind of like a Forever 21 and H&M put together. The place was crowded, which was to be expected. The cashier lines were very long but moved quickly. The issue I had with this store was that there weren't many clothes for people bigger than a medium. I bought some pairs of size XL pajamas and a top that fit me. However, 90% of the store was sizes medium and smaller. I think if they're going to appeal to an American market, they should have sizes for bigger people. I didn't see any other people buying clothes because not a lot of people are that skinny. Went to the head location in London and I've been hooked since. Visited Jersey, and now here! Love the fashion, great customer service for the dressing rooms, and Speedy checkout lines. The only suggestion I have is for them to clean the dressing room a bit more frequently. Had a rotten banana peel in one, Pissy diaper in another, and hangers everywhere. If it wasn't for the disgusting fitting room, I would give it 5 star! read more
