Found myself in need of a black suit for a funeral. Stopped in at Kings Row which I've seen numerous times. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by David, and he proceeded to help me out. Got me set up with a nice black suit, as well as a 2nd blue suit,(2 for 1 sale), a black tie, and suspenders,(yes, I'm that old). David was very helpful, friendly and patient with me. Suits are high quality, and all tailoring was done and ready for pickup in 1 day. Are they a little expensive, yes, but the alternative is shopping at a mall with hundreds more people, not too knowledgable sales staff, and questionable quality and tailoring. I'm not the kind of person who writes a review. However, I felt compelled to do so after visiting Kings Row Men's Apparel recently. My brother's wedding is 3 weeks away and I have tried many stores to get the right tux. Note, I'm a very picky dresser and it has to fit just right . I was getting to the point of thinking I had better just set my sights lower and settle for whatever I could get. Enter Dave, the owner of the store. He was quite knowledgeable about tuxes and knew just what would please me. He proceeded to show me many styles and then Voila ! It was like the glass slipper fitting on my foot (from Cinderella !!) Went there this afternoon looking for a necktie or Ascot which he had no clue what it was. Yet they want to charge Madison ave prices for inferior clothing. I'm looking for a burgundy tie which they didn't have then I look at a dress shirt I looked at the price they wanted 60.00 for a cheap brand shirt. Then I asked just for the hell of it how much were the ties.... he said 55.00 that's is outrageous the nerve to try and charge those prices for cheap clothing unbelievable.. this store really really sucks.. read more

I am in walkable distance to Kings Row now, and before when they were on Sheepshead Bay Road many years ago. I have been a loyal customer for many years. One of their salesmen who passed away some years ago made my shopping experiences memorable. They were my first and last stop for dress attire. That is, until the owner decided to publicly make fun of me in front of, not only my wife and son, but other staff and customers. To be honest, I was mistaken. Depending on manufacturer, sometimes shoe sizes can vary in width. I usually take a size 13 Wide. I had imparted to the manager that I'm looking for the same size, and he said he only buys 12 and a half shoes at the most. When I told him that I was almost certain that I had bought a size 13 from Kings Row before, he started laughing at me in front of my family, and decided to make me a joke to another customer he was taking care of as well. I can still picture the looks my wife and son gave me as I was being made fun of. Needless to say, I was embarrassed and I walked out. I realized my mistake as soon as I got home (indeed my dress shoes from Kings Row were a size 12 and a half - I walked into Kings Row with sneakers). Even though I was wrong, I will never return to Kings Row. The owner needs to realize that your customers will make or break your business. Pity. I loved their style and their expert attention to detail. My wife always used to give me that smile of approval when the salesman would match ties to shirts and suits I would buy from them. Now, my son is at a point where he needs dress suits. I've found another Men's store, and my son will be coming with me. read more

The man was very rude and arrogant. I was buying bowties for my brothers wedding and I facetimed my brother to see if he had liked any of the bow ties. This man started yelling at me telling me it is disrespectful to Facetime my brother to show him bow ties. He told me to get the F*** out of the store because I was on Facetime. Will not be shopping here anymore and don't recommend this place to anyone. read more

Hi. My brother's wedding is in 2 weeks. Was breaking my head to find a really nice suit for myself. And for my other siblings. We tried Macy's and all others. To which we didn't get any luck. So I did some research. And came across this kings Crow suit store. First I was like being skeptical if I would like that place at all. As I entered the store. I was greeted by the owner. Which happened to be super friendly and professional. And finally found some really classy suits. And loving it. The best place to shop for suits. And they have decent prices. read more

I came in to buy a suit for my son last week & hate to even have to say this but I think the Russian gentleman who was helping us is not on the up & up. At 1st I thought he was being nice by offering a cash discount but the problem with that was he refused to put the suit on the receipt so if I had to return it I couldn't. When I began asking questions he became irate & said "Do you want it or not, I am busy". I hope the owner is aware of who he has representing his business. I will never go there again & I will tell friends/family the same. It's sad because I like to support local businesses but not with these kind of scams going on. read more

Such rude arrogance. Their suits didn't fit me at all to which the salesperson said that I'm shopping in the wrong price range and should opt for a 1500$ suit. No problem with that if he's honest. Then he proceeds to rudely tell me that I have to bring my father or any "man" instead of my mother to shop with me because that woman "doesn't know anything about suits and will never be happy" after she criticized how the suit look. Kings Row is a completely unique experience. My mom and I have shopped here consistently for years, and it is not only because of the extensive (and high end) selection, but David (the owner) is a primary selling point. David has great taste and will not only help you choose gifts for the guys in your life (like the BEAUTIFUL cashmere sweater we picked out for my brother's birthday last week) but he also offers tailoring services in house. He has a huge variety of suits and more casual clothing, plus shoes and I particularly love the different patterned and colored ties. Before my now fiancee and I went to Europe for my college graduation present, we went in and David helped us to pick out the perfect mix of dressier shirts, sweaters, shoes, and jeans for our trip. I now live in Windsor Terrace and will still drive to (or take the Q /the B68) to get to David's store. Even with the huge variety of shops and boutique style stores in the slope, I haven't found a place that can compare when I'm looking for men's clothing that have been selected with careful and stylish taste.Definitely worth your visit! read more
