I live on the west coast so cannot shop in person. I bought two items from the website. I would buy more but the site doesn't give much sizing information and I haven't received a response to any sizing questions I've asked. For example there were a pair of special edition pants that I really wanted to order, but there was no inseam information. I am 6'2. Inseam length information is important to me. I emailed BkC a month ago and still haven't received a response. This is disappointing. read more

For some reason The Brooklyn Circus seems to be SF-based, but I still like 'em, because this place is dope. You could dress yourself from head to toe in their stuff, and look damn good doing it. They've got shirts, jackets, shorts, pants, ties, shoes and happy socks, all much more stylish than I deserve. They even have books to carry to complete the look, or even to read if you're into that sort of thing. Their t-shirts are of the amazingly soft and comfortable variety, although I would prefer it if one of them didn't say San Francisco across the back. There's even a check-in offer for a free t-shirt if you spend $100, and that shouldn't be too hard because it's pretty pricey in here, or at least more expensive than I want it to be. (Like everything else.) But hey, looking this good costs money. And believe me, sometimes you* spend all that money and you* still don't look good. This boutique is AMAZING! I have been to the San Francisco store, but this was my first experience in the Brooklyn location and it was better than I could have ever imagined. Upon entering the store, there is 90s rap music that builds the atmosphere. There is an art gallery that changes every 60 days. The gallery focuses on the social dilemmas that are at heart of social injustices. The store is a boutique and it has a unique touch that reflects the owner's taste. The products are great because each item is an investment. Depending on the article of clothing, it may be able to be sold back years later to the store so it can be used at the business's discretion. The accessories are just as artistically creative and beautiful as the clothing. This boutique will leave you inspired and craving to tackle the world. This place also makes you want to conquer every obstacle that is placed in front of you in the process of chasing your dreams. Oh the Brooklyn Circus! I moved into an apartment 2 blocks away last year and would pass the store at least twice a day. And each time I would wonder what the deal was - smack in the middle of Boerum Hill, this store is like the twilight zone: dapper looking young men dressed to the nines in a style that is a modern nod to vintage menswear. The clothes are gorgeous and so are the boys who run the place. They have crafted a mini-community around their small store where everyone is welcomed. During the warm months you will find them sitting outside chatting it up with anyone who walks by. And if the sometimes hefty price tag is a deterrence, it shouldn't be - the price reflects the caliber of the products. Many items are vintage or made by local artisans (check out the hats!) and everything is a superior quality. This place is NOT to be missed! Do yourself a favor and check this place out! read more

Everything that a boutique store can do right, BK Circus is doing. I literally love all of their clothes and accessories. The first time I walked in the store, I was politely greeted by the people working and not pressured at all, it was super casual and nice. When I had a question, they were happy to help and actually get to know me, versus just trying to sell a product. I eventually bought a cardigan on sale (I'm a student and sales can be my dearest friends) and its so soft and comfortable. Growing up in Brooklyn I did not ever think I would shop at a store like this because at the time of my youth urban fashion was all about baggy jeans, oversized shirts and fitted caps. Now, when I look back, I appreciate how far I have come, yet how far I have to go; and The Brooklyn Circus captures this progression perfectly. The shirts, pants, Varsity vests, Varsity jackets are my favorite. Don't forget the leather strap closure caps (I own 20) as an affordable way to start your BKc collection. Most of all it is the BKc mission, the "100 Year Plan" that keeps me coming back to shop (inquire about it when you visit). As my character has grown, BKc has supported with the style to match. Wooow. I love this place!! The store reminds me an elegant vintage british boutique, nice soft music, good lights and OF COURSE AMAZING ITEMS!! It's the paradise for everyone that like me sometimes wants to feel an english Dandy with a touch of modernity that gives to the look a unique glow!! God quality, and items here won't ever be dated!! I visited the store a couple years ago and the customer service was awesome. They have so many classics . From the pf flyers to the varsity jackets . I have purchased both and the quality of the jackets is the best . The fit is really on point. I ordered a varsity jacket online and wasnt too sure about the sizing so I called the store . It's not an easy commute for me and I had something particular from the store I was going to purchase. Probably not now. Brooklyn Circus has an inspirational taste which I favor a whole lot. Their varsity jackets I would say is a very comfortable yet tailored fitting for a man my size (5'8) slim. They usually open after noonish like 12:30 and I am a fan of their clothing and brand and style. One of the things I may not be too crazy about is the overall payment method they use which is square. The lack of security just doesn't help with my purchasing confidence when I am using my card. But aside from that, it is overall a great store. Wish they had a few more all over in brooklyn and with variety of sizes on every given style. read more

Their online service is the worst customer service I've experienced in years. I'm not sure of how great the in store service is, but their online customer service is the worst that I've experience from a so-called "professional" brand. I like their products, but I can't support a brand who is so so unprofessional when it comes to dealing with non-face to face customers. I am all about quality and modern styles. Finding this store I was delighted to see the variety of styles. The styles are so dope and you're completely able to step out of this store with a full outfit. My girl and I are completely into uniqueness and appreciate the different styles and quality. The BK Circus is a really interesting store with interesting concepts. Some of their items are an ode to older years in America (well duh, a lot of it is vintage right?) while some of their modern looks are, in my opinion, street wear with a flair deriving the use of floral, denim, plaid, amongst other things. I can not pinpoint the exact fashion in which I discovered the BKC... Although I think I was looking at some items from Benjamin Bixby by Andre 3000 which also specialized in a classic Americana look similar to Ralph Lauren and then, being in a similar vein, stumbled upon the BKC... I visited the store a few times, the boots in Winter are dope, some of the Varsity jackets are also things I would wear. For the most part, I prefer the tried and true formula of Ralph Lauren particularly RRL. If it were not for the specific items of interest (Varsity jackets), I probably would have maintained a distance allowed by internet browsing rather than actual store visitation. read more
