I stopped in the store to check out some new winter arrivals. I asked the sales woman if the…read morelocation was closing because I heard that it was and was generally curious as I shop there frequently. Mind you, she's stuffing her face while on the sales floor and could not be bothered. The sales woman proceeds to respond in an unsavory manner and then turned to her colleague and muttered something along the lines of "I hate when people ask these questions. Why does it matter to you anyway? Just mind your business". This socially inept crass individual lacks customer service skills and should not be the face for the store. The homeless man eating a hash brown and hanging out was more polite and accommodating than she was and therefore I will not be shopping at this location. Not sure how this location will stay afloat with such rude and ignorant people working there but if I was the owner I would invest in more friendly associates.

Don't waste your time on this place. I could not decide whether the clothes were just really old…read morestore overstock items or actual used thrift items. Everything was 50% off (though I get the feeling that it's 50% all the time, so why not just lower the prices?). Clothes were priced at $8-$15 (so really half of that $4-$7ish). Clothes were from like the 90s styles (which is too recent for retro and too old for cool). I didn't check out the upstairs mens, but I have a feeling it would have been more of the same. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because the jewelry was reasonably priced ($1 bracelets) and somewhat interesting though I didn't buy anything. Lastly, the staff was unprofessional and their conversations with each other in front of customers was appalling. Let's just say save the locker room talk for the back room. Overall, the place is classless and drab. There's probably a gem if you dig through every single item, but not worth the time IMO.

No trying idea is very bad and likely comes from a strange idea that I have time to give back a cloth if its bad. No! I come to a shop to first try and then buy if it fits well and this is very obvious in Europe but seems not to be very obvious in NYC.. Sad, and at least strange, because I will not buy any cloth without first trying it. If there is a bad law than CHANGE IT...
