I went into the Burlington store, and the associates were very rude to me as well as the manager who has an accent. The manager threatened me and it shocked me more than I've ever experienced in a store where they are supposed to maintain a professional attitude. I would give it a 0 if I could I went into the store at 2:50pm on Sunday feb 23 a lady thought it was okay to scream so loud at my two children ages 5,7 while I was right behind them they where running to show me a bubble machine and I was behind them I'm so upset even the customers in front of me said that was so bad that she thought it was okay to scream at them I told them to leave the toy we would be taking our money to target I well never return here. My kids were scared I work retail and I would never in my life think it's okay to scream at a child! It has been a long time that I have not seen coats, suits and trench coats on the racks. I bought my first suit, leather jacket and trench coat from Burlington, but it has been really like what Marshall's or Ross provides, except the place is usually bigger, but also messier due to understaff or customers' issues. I do hope Burlington maintains its uniqueness instead of going to imitate others. read more

Burlington Coat Factory has been the best PNW coat store for many years. I was looking forward to the treat of trying on dozens of great coats today, before making my final selection at their Beaverton location. It was quite a shock to walk into the store and see that all of their coat sections are GONE. I couldn't believe it ; isle after isle of miscellaneous junk ( well, junk compared to the coats they used to have). It was very disappointing. I had to order my new coat from Amazon, and I will never walk into that Burlington store again. read more

It is 10:45pm on a Tuesday night. I walked up to door. Need a tie for the morning. They are listed as open. As I walk up to door I see an employee walking away from front door. So, they closed 15 minutes early. Not cool when it's late at night and you drive 15 minutes because it's the only store listed as open in the area. This Burlington location really saved me yesterday when I forgot to pack my lightning cable and ear buds for work. Unlike at Ross, I was able to find all these things easily by the register -- from reputable brands (Bellini, Brookstone etc.) and at great prices. The products work really well too. So i have an interview on Tuesday and i was requiring some "Business Professional" clothes. Instead of heading to the Men's Warehouse, i decided to try this place. I am glad that i did. I was able to get a complete suit (seperates) and a couple other pieces along with two belts and a tie for under $200. High quality clothes for a more than reasonable price. Burlington Coat Factory and I have had a love hate relationship for years, ever since they claimed they ordered my adorable, much anticipated crib set, made me wait 3 months, then told me they didn't carry them anymore. DONT F$#& WITH A PREGNANT MOM. SHEESH. Ahem. We didn't return for a long time. (Hubby got us a nice set from Pottery Barn). Anyway. I do go from time to time. I've tried to take the high road of forgiveness. Caveats: Don't expect good customer service. Look at all the aisles. They aren't organized logically. There are some bargains here. Look over your merchandise carefully. Sometimes pieces are missing or sizes are mismatched in sets. Is it worth it? Sometimes. This time I got Princess a water resistant raincoat for $20. I also got dramatically reduced and totally cute Carter's onesies and pants for a baby gift. I was exhausted when I was done though. The atmosphere is not relaxing. Good thing I had yoga later. Make sure you do something good for yourself, too, if you're brave enough to take the plunge into this place. read more

Purchased a coat as a Christmas gift on 11/6/22. At the time of purchase I gave my phone # to have purchases tracked for convenience in case I needed to return. Tried to return it today (1/26/23). They could see my purchase, and that I paid w/ a debit card, but since I was past the 30 day return policy (which was before Christmas), they would only give me my money back on a gift card. I do not want a gift card, I rarely shop there. I want the ability to use MY money on things I actually need, like TP, or paying a bill. The reviews I've now seen today don't give me much hope of getting this resolved. So nice job corporate, you've stolen my money and lost a customer. This gift card is useless to me. read more

It all depends on what type of service you receive as the two times I've been here it's been uneven. The first time I came to look for formal wear and found some selections but the first thing I noticed was how the layout of sections was presented, it is awkward where things seem out of place and not well organized as items on sale aren't even on the sale rack or marked. When trying on the items, you hear employees gossiping quite loudly close to the fitting room entrance and another employee literally berating a coworker about doing her job in front of customers, again all hearing this from the fitting room. Upon checkout one employee explained nicely the holiday return program which gives customers until the New Year to return items, then you look the other way and a manager (I believe) hovering over another employee, watching her every move. Then coming back a week later to return one of the items, I was greeted and welcomed. Helped in a nice manner about the return and it was fast too. I was unaware of how I would get the credit of my return back and the employee explained kindly that purchases by credit cards go back to the card, other transactions are returned by giving cash or a store gift card. Two completely different, drastic encounters that left me confused and quite possibly a one time customer? I found what I was looking for but am left lost and with a not so good feeling. It's not bad, if you're in the mood to dig for treasure and your brought your fighting shoes. I didn't dare the clothing racks, and the shoes and bags selections are nothing to write home about, but the eponymous coat department is nothing to sneer at. I found a gorgeous Michael Kors leather jacket at $200 off the rack price (sadly, still out of my price range at the moment) and a very affordable Nine West trench. There's also a decent selection of home decor and housewares - I came specifically for new pillows and left with a nice firm set of Tommy Hilfiger headrests for a tenner each. I always remember the California locations having much better selections, but that was a long time ago, I suppose. This location is much better than the Jantzen Beach location. (no selection, disorganised, dirty, told by employee it is because they get s lot of shrink (theft)) This location has its issues as far as merchandise being mis-stocked, items missing tags, sections not well kept, etc. Sadly, it is due to customers that have no respect. Friendly staff on the floor and at check-out. Hit and miss on selection and good deals. Wife's complaint is that there is a disproportionate amount of Misses / Juniors sizes and not much of a "regular" sizes for women. Think of a visit here as a treasure hunt... read more

You might need only a few things but incompetent cashiers, screaming children, and packed isles will indefinitely slow down even the most skilled of bargain hunters. If you decide you are ready to take on Burlington Coat Factory chances are you'll find some great deals on the things you need. There is a lot of junk, in fact mostly junk, but amongst all of that are some really good finds. Patience..it's all about patience. As the commercial states, there truly is more then great coats. If you have some baseline knowledge of what you're looking for and what you're willing to pay for it, Burlington Coat Factory is fantastic. If, however, you are clueless and need somebody to help you put a suit together from the ground up, match ties to shirts, find an appropriate suit, etc...don't bother. The entire time I was looking for a good deal on a suit, shirts, and ties, I was not approached by a single employee. Fortunately, I had gone to Men's Warehouse earlier that day and had a clue what I was looking at because people there actually took the time to help me figure some stuff out. I found a charcoal gray suit with an MSRP of $1000 (Italian). BCF's regular low price was 399.98 and it was marked as a clearance item for 259.99. Hell Yes! The jacket was a perfect fit and the pants needed to be tailored (the tailor who works nights is fantastic and has awesome prices). I was able to find 3 shirts in my exact size (again, thanks to the earlier lesson at Men's Warehouse) and 3 ties that matched the suit perfectly for under 90 bucks. Total bill of under $350 for something that easily would have cost me $750 or so at any other store. When you go here, you trade in a pleasant shopping experience (really it does kind of suck) for the chance at landing an amazing deal. I'll take that chance again any day. read more

I went to Burlington Coat specifically for my friend's baby shower. Unfortunately, this location doesn't offer the gift registry. I was confused - I mean I thought a gift registry was just printing out a list of items and then when you pay they update the count. I was a bit frustrated but I got over it. This location had a decent selection of baby stuff. I really liked the Carter's merchandise so I managed to find a entire matching set of stuff for the present. They also had some cool travel stuff at really great prices. I got an apple green leather passport holder for $6. You can't beat that. read more

Surprisingly they are very cheap. There was a lot of designer jackets for about 30% of the originally cost of the jacket. Down fall of Burlington Coat Factory is that there stuff isn't in the correct areas. Had to go searching for sizes 2x+ because they were mixed into the smalls and everywhere else too. It was bad spending 2+hours in the store to look for a jacket because none where in their correct spots. But was pleased to not spend a lot of two jackets. No warning to any woman that needs to use the women's bathroom. It's disgusting. It looks dirty and half the stalls the doors don't lock or they were OUT OF ORDER. Only one sink works and then the towel dispenser doesn't even work. So bad for a nice place. read more

I have been here twice, and I had a couple of items to return- I'm pi**ed about the way I was treated by the Manager Natasha- the second time I bought a pair of shoes and wasn't offered a receipt or asked my phone number- I explained this to the cashier. They fought me about returning the item, and eventually got an assistant manager involved to tell me that they would accept the return but only for store credit. When I argued about this, explaining that it's not my fault I wasn't offered proof of purchase, they got another manager involved. Natasha was not only disrespectful, but she was straight up snarky, and even went so far as to be a smartass when I told her that I didn't believe that there was no way they could work with me. They wanted my ID to process the return, which I wasn't carrying on me at the time, I offered other solutions, like a picture of the front and back of my ID, or that I could log into my bank to prove that it was in fact my ID, she sneakily told me "when you bring it in, we'll go from there" The only reason I'm giving two stars is because the cashier Edith was very kind and apologetic. I'm not the type of person to act like a "Karen" but I don't appreciate being treated with such nasty attitude simply because Natasha couldn't adequately answer my questions regarding why they wanted my ID and why there was No other way to help me(since the store made the mistake in the first place) read more

I come to this store regularly, but I had not been shopping here for some time now, due that I was traveling so much, the other day I came here cause I needed to do some Christmas shopping, I was looking for a nice comforter and some knitted jackets and cardigans for my nieces, I was kind of disappointed , they used to carry such an amazing and large selection of really quality items, especially the outfit section but also the bed and bath department used to carry very attractive sets and accessories, at very reasonable prices, now ..all gone, all comforters, first they are all overpriced, then the quality has really deteriorated, and then I was looking for some sweaters or cardigans in smaller sizes, but nothing, there were very few nicer looking items, but they were all in very large or extra large sizes, nothing in the small or medium, so disappointing. They have also rearranged all the departments now and it is really hard to find something,and it is hard to find some employee who can help, nobody around, however, when I finally went to the fitting rooms I found someone there, and they were really awesome and very friendly and helpful! read more

Incredibly cheap finds...if you find them. The best stuff is certainly designer items and down from 200 to 80 is still 80 for a dress...however, 30 for an incredible tall leather boot, or 50 for a pea coat, is completely worth it. Every time I come here I find pretty fantastic pieces, it's just having to dig through ALL of the racks where you finally find the things that speak to you. I would happily give this place a 5 for all the goodies I've walked home with and still get starry eyed putting on, however, the place is in shambles. There are general areas but that's where organization ends, you have to swim through the mass amount of broken and missing items. Some of the clothes even have rips and buttons missing. My biggest pet peeve? The changing room SMELLS LIKE PISS. Yeah, as in every room someone squatted in and took a leak right then and there. Some worse than others. I cannot possibly fathom how ANY of the staff can walk down the changing rooms and not smell it. Are they used to it? Or they just don't care. I'll keep coming for the deals I usually find, heavens knows how much money its saved me. But I agree with many of the people that already reviewed, it's not a pleasant place. Due to their aloof staff, the piss smelling rooms, and their disarray, I am inclined to believe whoever runs the store doesn't even care about their own company. Burlington Coat Factory is NOT the place to go if you want good customer service. I was exchanging a gift, no receipt, but item was clearly tagged as their merchandise. Apparently, without a receipt you're stuck with your item. I WAS asked for the phone number of the person who purchased the item though .... very invasive in my opinion. Absolutely disgusting! The bathroom is so gross I am going home to shower. The floors were so wet I fell back onto the toilet after getting up, and the bottom of my pants are wet with something. If they can't keep a bathroom clean for their customers don't expect good customer service anywhere else in the store. Also, the aisles have junk all over the floor. It looks like they let a group of 5 year olds loose in the store to throw everything on the floor and pull everything off hangers. read more

The ONLY thing I buy here is home decor because the rest of the items in stock kind of gross me out. Still, as a college student who does not want to spend much money on short-term items (like twin XL bedding) I love this place and come here every year. Such good bargains and a huge selection of pillows. The quality isn't great but I'm not looking for quality at this point in my life! They also usually offer coupons at checkout for next time. I have been to this store now 4 times.... It looks like a two year old had a tantrum and threw stuff around where ever it wanted to. This place has always been a real bargain go getter. I have gotten many a coats, purses and shoes here. I know all the things a girl loves for a fraction of the cost. I went in looking for a new raincoat type of thing and after going through the coats a few times, I found the exact one I wanted. I was so thrilled!! Absolutely horrible place! The management staff is some of the most incompetent group of people I have ever delt with, and would rather hide then actually help customers. Many of the items are broken and useless junk. The shoe department is always a mess, and cloths are scattered all around the store. The place had a recent remodel and while it looks beautiful throughout, the company seemed to stop there. There are distinct departments (as there were before), but items are severely disorganized within them. The coats used to be all along the left side of the store organized by type and size. Now they are sprinkled among the departments. Personally, I don't like this way because I might want a men's coat, but have to walk to the other side of the place to locate it. When I needed household items this was my go-to stop; now this department is more of an afterthought. Yes, I realize that coat factory is in the name so why should I expect household items? But truthfully they hardly have any coats anymore. The organization or lack thereof reminds me more of Goodwill than a discount department store. read more
