Tacky!
Elizabeth R.

Yuck! What happened to the women's clothing section. Ive shopped at Macy's for the past 10 years and OMG, do they not have cool clothing anymore. Could they get someone else to do the purchasing for woman's clothing. I rarely see people shopping in the clothing section certainly because what I see are lame styles.

First of all, their underwear area was a complete disaster the last time I visited. The floor was completely covered in bras, almost piled up to my knees... I was very confused like I must have missed the apocalypse. This time I was able to really see all of the merchandise! It was laid out so nicely on racks. I swear they used to have carpet... all I know is that it was smooth concrete, so easy to walk around and I don't have to dig through things to find my size. This isn't a bin situation. They also rearranged the shoes and the aisles do seem a touch smaller there which, as far as complaints go, that is a small one. It was also nice that their sizes and the way each of the racks are marked seemed way better. I am a sort of odd sizing and ladies, can we discuss for a moment a few key things. Those of us with substantial breasts... why do all clothing manufacturers want to put a billboard of some type on our chest? And since I am a larger size now and older... it's nice that you want to allow us to show off parts but everything is either a tent or I'm practically naked. And, stop making clothing for larger sizes with material that has zero give. I'm going to rip it even just trying it on! I did find several amazing dresses though that were just perfect... showing off the curves without horribly uncomfortable material. You can always tell the trends happening while going down. The line waiting for a register. This season we are into cloth bandages, obnoxious swizzle sticks for your drinks and pickleball which I am so exhausted hearing about.

Lots of great finds, just not the right sizes. Things were everywhere, floor to wrong racks. Staff…read moremembers in the fitting rooms were super friendly and helpful. Cashiers were also very friendly. Other than those two time, that was the only interactions I had with staff. Still my number 1 place to find shoes.

So, unbeknownst to him what was about to happen, Kevin and I sauntered up to this super stylish men's custom suit store called Indochino. I swear, it was like stepping into the armory scene from the Matrix, but with a bunch of suit stuff in elegant mood lighting. Kevin's been daydreaming about getting a custom suit for ages, so here we were, ready to embark on this sartorial escapade. Once inside, who do we meet? Sean mother flippin' Slaugh! This guy is the epitome of swagger. He was super friendly and made us feel right at home, like old pals reunited. He had this sparkle in his eye that said, "I'm about to make your wildest suit dreams come true." And then he literally said that. Breathtaking. Sean held us by the hand and whisked us into the magical world of bespoke suits, like a real gentleman, one personalized step at a time. First came the fabric selection. It was like walking into a swag rainbow and coming out dripping with luxury. Sean laid out fabrics richer than a Rothschild and smoother than the Rock's skull. Kevin's eyes went wide, and he started petting these textiles like exotic birds and I had to do likewise. As the fabrics yielded to our caresses we knew this was the right move. I held them up to Kevin's face, imagining the glory to come once constructed into a fine suit. Sean gave us the lowdown on each fabric, and I half expected him to accidentally shake gold nuggets or pixie dust out of one of the swatches. Sean then measured Kevin, who stood, comfortable, yet slightly bewildered, mostly due to the surprise element. But Sean? Oh, he's a measuring maestro, flipping his tape here, there, and everywhere, spouting off numbers like he's casting spells. "32 inches, alakazam! 40 inches, abracadabra!" Kevin really started to relax, then caught up in Sean's wizardry. Once the measurements were in, Sean guided us tenderly through the process of choosing the perfect style for Kevin's new custom suit. From collar, to buttons, to cuffs, and pockets, pleats, and vest selection, Sean made every decision feel like we were picking out magic wands at Hogwarts instead of tackling a laundry list of fashion choices. The suit came quickly in the mail, along with a custom fitted shirt of our choosing. It was so pleasing to see "Chicken Tenders" lovingly embroidered inside the coat and "BDE" on the shirt cuff. We made our appointment to have Kevin's final fit check with Sean. At final fitting, Kevin slipped his new suit upon his robust, manly form, aggressive seat, and perfect knees, and I kid you not, he looked like James Bond's cooler, more stylish, mustachioed cousin. As Kevin slid cooly out of the dressing room, strutting around ready for a Milan runway, my only reaction was to gasp and start taking photos of my hot hot husband. All the while, Sean stood there, beaming like a proud parent at a school play. He had poured his heart and soul into this moment for Kevin, and it shows. Sean's not just a suit savant; he's the king of accurate measurements. We thanked him profusely, and after the celebration and fit check [read: like a glove] Sean waved farewell, with a twinkle in his eye and a jaunty salute. As we left Indochino that day, Kevin practically floated away with happiness and I held all these things in my heart, which you have now read in this review. If you ever want to go on a wild, wonderful, and unforgettable journey to get the perfect suit, run--don't walk--to Indochino and ask for Sean. He's the heartwarming haberdasher you never knew you needed. tl;dr: 10/10 recommend for service, quality, affordability, and FUN!

My opinion of the sales merchandise offering was underwhelming with sale things hard to even find and a selection looking like scraps. My star rating on that is a 2. So I'm in the men's dept. Obviously looking and searching right in front of two sales associates who were yapping amongst themselves and didn't even give me a look. Then I'm approached from the side by an associate named Grant who could tell I was searching for something and offered his assistance. He showed me to the bleak sales rack and I tried on a couple of things. He was the epitome of a full service sales associate getting the right size etc. I ended up just looking with him in the full price section and after a short discussion he understood exactly what I was looking for. He brought me shoes to try and a new belt. Stayed with me right through the entire transaction, alterations and so forth. Grant was what Nordstrom has been known for in terms of service and he gets 5 stars!

I drive in from Camas, WA, and my experiences have consistently reflected the level of service and care associated with the Nordstrom name. Unfortunately, today was very different. Every April, I treat myself to a birthday shopping trip and genuinely look forward to it. In the past, I've always been greeted promptly, assisted with sizes, and made to feel welcome. This time, no associate approached me--or any of the other middle‑aged women browsing nearby. Two employees stood at the register engaged in conversation, not helping anyone. I eventually interrupted to request a fitting room, but no one ever checked on me afterward. The lack of attention was surprising and disappointing, completely unlike any experience I've had there before. I left feeling invisible and disheartened, and I'm not sure I'll return. If this is the new norm, I'll need to find another way to celebrate my birthday going forward.

My favorite items from Aritzia are their leggings, various basic tees, and boyfriend and cozy sweaters/zip ups. I'm a sucker for their basics because they're thick, soft and well made. They've held up for years in my closet, and they really never go out of style. They're cozy and classic. I even got my husband into buying their crew sweaters. I specifically get their TNA butter high waist 7/8 leggings for climbing at the gym. Squat proof and buttery. My favorite brands at the store are Wilfred, babaton, TNA, and Sunday Best. I have a Wilfred cocoon coat that has lasted me for years. Thee best warm coat that perfectly fits my petite frame. Timeless look that can layer with sweaters. The best time to shop for their coats is right at the beginning of the year when they discount it. So worth it! Spencer helped me today, thank you! I enjoy coming here whenever I'm at the mall.

I am a natural born US citizen, speak perfect English, wear designer labels, handbags, and jewelry, and do not appreciate being discriminated against. Congratulations Aritzia WA Sq...you are the most racist customer service establishment I have experienced in the greater Portland area. I passed by multiple associates who did not greet me despite being unencumbered by any tasks, when I was actively holding items to try on. They offered fitting rooms and assistance to other customers who were merely browsing. When I was trying on clothing, the associates in the fitting area ignored me and fawned over the other customers. They did not talk to me, ask me if I needed another size, how I felt about the dress styles...I didn't exist to them. When I went to return a part of the items that I didn't want to buy, while CLEARLY holding the items that I did want (AND ended up purchasing) in a separate arm, the two presumptuous and catty fitting room attendants had the gall to say "so nothing worked out??" I corrected them that I was planning on purchasing some of the items. This store is judgmental, be it due to appearance, ethnicity, or just plain haughtiness. Whoever manages this store and training of the service should be ashamed. As a people manager of a large team in my own industry, if I were this store's management, I would evaluate, retrain, and assess the competency of my staff if I valued any accountability to client service, reputation, or bottom line.
