Return policy is 14 days, however, they don't take into consideration the shipping time, which in my case was five days. The only reason I had to return anything is because they did not have inventory in store to even try on to figure out what size I was. When I went to return the size that did not fit. I was assisted by an employee who was unapproachable, unprofessional and rude. According to her, she was "doing me a favor" by even returning this product at all, since I was 48 hours outside the 14 day window. They have three star reviews for a reason! read more

Friendly and helpful staff | classic and casual This place is so bad for my wallet. I always end up buying something, even if it's just a pair of crew socks (they're thick and well made). My favorite items from Aritzia are their leggings, various basic tees, and boyfriend and cozy sweaters/zip ups. I'm a sucker for their basics because they're thick, soft and well made. They've held up for years in my closet, and they really never go out of style. They're cozy and classic. I even got my husband into buying their crew sweaters. I specifically get their TNA butter high waist 7/8 leggings for climbing at the gym. Squat proof and buttery. My favorite brands at the store are Wilfred, babaton, TNA, and Sunday Best. I have a Wilfred cocoon coat that has lasted me for years. Thee best warm coat that perfectly fits my petite frame. Timeless look that can layer with sweaters. The best time to shop for their coats is right at the beginning of the year when they discount it. So worth it! Spencer helped me today, thank you! Super easy return, no line, didn't feel pressured.. yes they ask if you want a fitting room but this is the culture at all Aritzias. Based on other reviews I'd say they had a staff changeover! All except one cashier were extremely rude to me at this location. The cashier was the only POC at the store. I also was the only POC shopping at the time. I am a natural born US citizen, speak perfect English, wear designer labels, handbags, and jewelry, and do not appreciate being discriminated against. Congratulations Aritzia WA Sq...you are the most racist customer service establishment I have experienced in the greater Portland area. I passed by multiple associates who did not greet me despite being unencumbered by any tasks, when I was actively holding items to try on. They offered fitting rooms and assistance to other customers who were merely browsing. When I was trying on clothing, the associates in the fitting area ignored me and fawned over the other customers. They did not talk to me, ask me if I needed another size, how I felt about the dress styles...I didn't exist to them. When I went to return a part of the items that I didn't want to buy, while CLEARLY holding the items that I did want (AND ended up purchasing) in a separate arm, the two presumptuous and catty fitting room attendants had the gall to say "so nothing worked out??" I corrected them that I was planning on purchasing some of the items. This store is judgmental, be it due to appearance, ethnicity, or just plain haughtiness. Whoever manages this store and training of the service should be ashamed. As a people manager of a large team in my own industry, if I were this store's management, I would evaluate, retrain, and assess the competency of my staff if I valued any accountability to client service, reputation, or bottom line. read more

I was at Washington Square yesterday shopping for a couple of things and it's been a while since I've been there and noticed that there was Aritzia. I had never heard of the store but wondered into see what they carried. As I browsed around, I actually found an item and decided to try it on. All the employees were super nice and helpful. Emma was so great! She had a great attitude, positive energy, and was super patient with me and my bazillion questions I asked her about the different brands and she was super knowledgeable about each one; what they are geared towards as well as the sizing of the different styles. This is one of my favorite stores, but the employees give so much attitude. I was looking through a rack and had one item in my hand, and an employee was sent our way to grab the item while I was still looking at it in my hand. In the fitting room, a customer left their items with them, and the employees talked badly about the customer. I came in on a weekday so that it wouldn't be so packed and so there wasn't 100 people trying on stuff in the fitting room. But instead I kept having 2 employees not letting me breathe for a second. I need my space trying clothes on if I have questions or need an opinion I can walk up and ask but having them both come up to me every second. Just guarding me and not giving personal space to feel/try on my clothes was so uncomfortable. Definitely pressure me into buying clothes with their comments. I've had good and bad experiences at this Aritzia. It's the only Aritzia in Oregon and happens to be my favorite store, so i'm always so excited to get to shop here when i can. I definitely would recommend coming here on a weekday and definitely avoid coming here during holiday season. One time I came here about a month or two after they remodeled it, and it was so busy and the workers were stressed but also acted rude towards me. My family and I took a day trip to Portland. Why? Why drive 3 hours to go shopping? Apparently it's worth not paying for sales tax. So when we got to the mall (I wasn't really into shopping on Black Friday), I was a bit on the tired side. While we were waiting for my niece to get changed and fed, I saw this store. I said...why not? I saw their clothes and thought, yes, my style. The first thing I noticed is that they're not over staffed, but the staff know what they're talking about. They wear those clothes, they know the quality and they help you in any way. They ask for you name and give you suggestions. They were having a huge sale. I was contemplating on getting a grey bomber jacket. It was on sale for $70. They also had leggings for $20 which were very high quality. One thing I didn't like was that there wasn't a mirror in your changing room, and you had to go outside to use the large communal mirror. I was trying on leggings...I was a little self conscious. But as I was trying things on, there were others outside and the staff helped with styling what they were trying on. I ended up getting the jacket and the leggings since I had such a great experience shopping there. See be nice to me and make my shopping experience worth it and I will buy something! This store has cute clothes, but the few times I've shopped here (and made rather big purchases, fwiw), I've been non-plussed by the customer service. You have to approach the staff for help, and when you do, you're met with a cold, "you're not cool enough to be in here" vibe. The first time I thought it was just the particular staff I encountered, but considering I've been met with the same vibe on subsequent visits, I can't help but wonder if this is how they are trained? Customer service goes a long way - especially when you have Nordstrom nearby - so I'd recommend some changes in this department. read more

Okay, can I just.... I LOVE this store.. they have the best selection of apparel that is dressy/professional or casual clothing (whatever you are looking for). I tend to usually shop here when I'm looking for dressier attire for conferences or interviews that I go to.. Their clothing is classic and well-made (great quality.. I've shopped here since high school and their clothing pasts forever!! There are a few leggings that I bought in high school that I'd probably still wear if I was the same size that I was in hs haha.. I also love that the have so many different styles of pants and colors and fabrics/material!! So many to choose from!! I'm in LOVE with their Cohen pant.. would buy it in every color and style if I could! Another thing I love about this store in particular is that the sales associates/stylists working are just SO nice, friendly, knowledgeable about what looks good and helpful (AND not to mention they are all so fashionable and trendy and they all have own unique style). But still are so knowledgeable about the products that Aritzia sells AND are able to give great styling advice. I was very impressed that all the associates seemed to know the clothing REALLY well and could tell me all the fabrics and colors a certain style of pant came in. And they always know exactly where everything is in the store LOL. That was impressive!! Anyway, they are all just so stylish and outfits and everything are just so on point! (which is probably why Aritzia hired them in the first place ). Just a very well-run store! Kudos to whoever the store manager at this location is(Fyi, I used to live in CA and NY so have shopped at a few Aritzia locations) and this is my favorite one! Glad I live here for the next few years! TIP: they also have GREAT sales, I always manage to find something super cute everytime I visit this store.. I ordered pants at the South Coast location 5 days ago. At the time of purchase, I was told I could call the store in a few days and they would have tracking. I called 3 days after purchasing and they told Washington Sqaure has not shipped. Fast forward to today, we are now 5 days since purchasing, the girl who answered the phone was so rude. I inquired about the status of my package and she said, "we were closed soooooo.." ( who talks like that to customers? if you're that sassy and unhappy, find a job that makes you happy) Then, I said, "Okay, so can you check on the status of my package now?" She says, "no, everything's been shipped out for the day." I said, "Okay, so can you check on my actually order. It's been 5 days and all I've gotten is the run around." She refused. I would give 5 stars for this place as they are the only Aritzia boutique in Oregon and my favorite store. However, I realize that they really only carry Wilfred Free and Wilfred here at this location. While I am a big fan of Wilfred, I can't seem to find midi skirts and blouses that I am looking for. Additionally, I am a huge Babaton fan due to the simplicity of the clothing, and I can rarely find what I am looking for at this store. Therefore, I always have to order online... I love the employees who work here, but I wish they would start carrying less young adult and teenage style clothing and more of the young professional stuff. As for the store, it is well-kept and organized. Everything is arranged by size, so things are not hard to find usually. What I like about Aritzia is they carry good quality clothing brands. They are targeting young women but because they have simple styles, I see 40's 50's customers shopping at this store which is nice. I said "simple" but they are not only just simple but little bit edgy. Other good thing is Aritzia is Canadian company which means they know cold weather fashion! So, I like to check the store in fall and winter rather than spring and summer. I didn't give 5 stars because I don't like sale people come to check me every minutes. I can even feel from them like "I need to sell, I need to sell." I don't like their fitting room, too. I really love their styles and have quite a few things from them. Today I went to return a shirt because I realized the color is not a match for my skin tone. I never wore it because of this and came back 5 days later to return. I had all the tags and all the receipts but was told "it looks like you wore it" and therefore they would not accept it. It's a silky rayon material that easily develops wrinkles and must be steamed immediately before wearing. I returned it exactly as I bought it (which was a bit wrinkly). Will not be returning here because that "look over" was bs. If I spend 140$ on a shirt, I want a return policy that actually works. read more

I've been searching for a peacoat for years, never finding the right style for me; alas, ARITZIA came to the rescue! Then I remembered, this store sounds familiar... I was there, years ago in Canada. It's awesome it's here in Oregon with NO TAX. Their clothing is rather spendy, obviously. But they have the option of layaway... Layaway isn't just that poor person k-mart choice, it's a good option if you want to invest in something that you can't afford at the moment. For example, my peacoat; love it. My winter coat; love it more. My leather jacket; burnt a hole in my pocket, but totally in love with it. I feel content with everything I've purchased, maybe once my credit cards are paid off... I'll look again. Until then, I'll pretend I'm super awesome wearing these spendy threads that will stay classy. BTW, you could be lucky enough to find a previous season's item available at half+ off the cost of what the new season item! They look exactly the same! My winter coat was $160ish, but found it was the previous seasons and paid about $50... I was stoked. Their employees are kind and energetic; they kinda remember who you are - since I don't think many people shop-shop there. I think maybe 5 employees? I see the same ones each time I'm there. I love Aritzia! The store associates are really nice, and always have great ideas about how to wear everything, and different ways to mix and match things. It is a bit overpriced, which is why I knocked down a star. For those that can't find anything here I would say just pick something up (even if you wouldn't normally wear it) and try something new here! I have to go up a size on a lot of the clothes here. The fitting rooms don't have mirrors, you have to walk out to the big mirror, but that way you can get some advice from the cool store ladies. They also have a photobooth in the middle of the store.. its pretty rad. I've only purchased a couple of things here, but everytime I make it over to Washington square I try to stop in here and try one of the new styles! read more

Me and my mother come here all the time since I was a little kid. The workers at the store are usually very kind and nice to us. Although, today when we went was a different story. My aunt and cousin were visiting from out of the country and we all decided to go to this store. My aunt was then helping me and my mom at the dressing room until one of the workers came and kicked my aunt out because the dressing room was too packed. This is totally understandable but there were other people just chilling in the dressing room as well. If y'all are going to implement this rule of kicking people out make sure that it includes everyone. I'm not sure if kicking my aunt was racially motivated, considering we were speaking Arabic to each other and maybe gravitated some sort of attention towards us. I was on vacation from California and the bf wanted to check this mall for a store that sold pendleton goods. as we pulled into the parking lot i remembered that somewhere in portland there was an aritzia and to my surprise, just as i was thinking that i saw the employee entrance on the outside of the mall with the signage "Aritzia"! I was immediately excited. first of all, this is my favorite store (i would own the store if i could) so you could imagine how excited i was. second, we were in oregon, so no sales tax!!! when entering the store i saw a bunch of signs that implied sale (and then i remembered receiving an email that their sale was still going on). i started browsing through the sale and realized that i was 1/4 of the way through the store and STILL looking through sale... the sales girl asked (btw, sales girls here are just as helpful as any of the other locations i've been to) if i wanted a room so i gave her the items i was holding and said "you guys have a lot of sale stuff". she replied "yea, we get shipped all the other sale items from all the other stores". after she said that i was in a bit of a frenzy for about a minute or two. ALL the other stores send their sale here?!?! i continued to look through the racks... mind you, the sale went from the front to the back of the store which is not normal at the SF store. i saw so many items that i had purchased already for 50% or 70% off AND in my size. i guess it makes sense due to demographics, the customer, and location that this store would house/keep more sale than the sf location. needless to say, i walked out with great stuff as always. read more

My daughter and her friend were shopping at Washington Square and stopped into Aritzia. After putting some items on hold they were stopped and told that if they "did not return the items they stole, she would call the police". The girls were shocked and the woman proceeded to dig through their bag. Of course she did not find anything so the girls left in tears after being yelled at and accused of doing something they did not do in front of dozens of strangers. We are talking about two 14 year old honors students who just won their school debate championship. Frankly, that should not matter. I spent years in retail and yelling at kids with no adult present and no proof or even reasonable cause is absolutely uncalled for. My daughter and I were regular shoppers at that store but there is no way I will step foot in that store again. When I heard about what happened I went in to talk to the store manager and received nothing other than a meek, and very insincere "I'm sorry". My daughter and her friend were absolutely and unnecessarily humiliated by a clearly untrained, rude and insensitive employee of this store. I will NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN. read more

I'm not sure why people are such big fans of this place. Here are my beefs: 1) The fittings rooms are microscopic, like smash your elbows into the walls while you're trying to change. 2) Another fitting room issue: there are NO MIRRORS in the fitting rooms, just one big mirror outside the rooms that everyone has to struggle to see themselves in at once, all while dodging the women coming in to try and get into a room. This is a CLASSIC and CHEAP sales tactic. You can't can't try anything on without coming out of your room, unless you don't care to see how you look, and when you come out, the sales staff can tell you how great you look in everything you try on. 3) If you're not a 00 to maaaaaybe an 8, don't bother. There's nothing in here for you. This isn't just sour grapes on my part, I'm a size 4. Just an observation. 4) The merchandise is overpriced for the quality. Think Nordstrom prices without the variety. It's not like the quality is superb. 5) The sales are a trap. I saw a pair of pants in the store, I kid you not, marked down from $60 to $55. What a steal! *EYEROLL* Then they mix regular price merchandise in with sale items, so you fall in love with something before you realize it isn't on sale. Do I have anything nice to say? Guilty. I come into this store twice a month. My roommate is never surprised to see new shopping bags from Aritzia. What can I say? The clothes are comfortable and make me feel pretty. Plus the employees are incredibly nice. I dragged my sweetie in here on a weekend in Whistler. I thought I'd just check for one warm sweater, but I ended up walking out an hour later with 8 pieces. The gal who helped me was helpful, hustling back and forth with different sizes, and lots of ideas. My only complaint is that the dressing room and mirror area was too cramped, and cardboard boxes and a metal rack were stacked up where customers could have been stepping in and out of the mirror area. Not a huge deal, but bit claustrophic. This is definitely my new favorite store, and I am 48! There are tasteful, body hugging sexy stuff as well as looser flowy items. Wonderful. read more

Really love this place! Great mix of basics and statement pieces. Nordstrom level service; in comparison its like a broader layout of Nordstrom's savvy and tbd departments. I only wish they had some made in America product and curtains that enclose the dressing rooms better. There is such a timeless feel to most styles in the store that it justifies the cost and I have better luck finding designer jeans like COH and Current Elliot here than anywhere else. I love love love this store and the girl who helps me! Asian girl- she's a manager I'm almost positive, she's always there. She takes all of my money when I go in there, but it's totally worth it because the clothing aritzia carries it's by far my favorite. They have denim from the best lines (citizens of humanity, rag and bone, one teaspoon) and I probably have spent way to much money on their sweaters. I showed up pretty late in the evening but the sales girls were still friendly and very helpful. I liked how they were attentive but didn't hover over their clients, and let us shop.
