Large Fries.
Theodosios C.

Burger & Sides. OKAY. The BBQ Rodeo Burger was more than ADEQUATE in taste but lacking in size. The Onion Rings served were scant. Ordered Large Fries 'cause this establishment skimps on their Regular Fries. I like the Food at BURGER FI but you pay a HIGH PRICE POINT for extremely small portions. WALK DON'T RUN.

Overcooked, flavorless fries

SERVICE: A+ - The girl behind the counter was super nice. Give her a raise! When she wasn't at the register, she was actively cleaning tables. CLEANLINESS: A. Clean floors and bathroom. FOOD: B-. Burger was A-. Fries were D. Fries were overcooked and lacked flavor. See picture. LITTLE THINGS: Bathroom on the right had no soap. Had to use hand sanitizer outside the restroom. The restaurant uses Cintas for their mats. Cintas is perhaps the worst, most abusive company with whom I have experience. Would highly recommend firing them and going with a more ethical service provider. OVERALL: B. They need to fix the fries. Stopped here on 8/27/25 @ 11:36 AM

Cheat day!

My burger was tasty. The fries were nice and crunchy. It was quick and easy. The service was fast.

Two months ago, I stopped in here for lunch and had an awful experience. I approached the counter and ordered a hot dog with sauerkraut, onion rings along with a bottle of water. The young girl behind the counter was helpful in answering a few questions and was very sweet. I was told to take a seat, and my order will be brought to me. The restaurant was empty, so I quickly found a table. Went to the condiment station to get some mustard. The small cups of mustard were not sealed properly, and there were quite a few gnats flying around. When the sweet counter girl brought out my food, I requested some fresh mustard. I casually mentioned the pre-made cups of mustard were messy and not properly closed, which attracted the flying bugs. She quickly brought me some fresh mustard, and I thanked her. The food looked good. As we all know, looks can be deceiving. The hot dog was like rubber, and after two small bites, I was done. The onion rings could have been cooked better as they were not crispy. Between the gnats and less than subpar food, I was eager to leave. Ironically, this is the point where a few gnats started flying over my tray, eventually landing on top of the hot dog. I could have requested a refund or asked to speak with a manager, but I was so put off by this experience that I decided to call it a day. I was disappointed in both the food and the cleanliness of the restaurant. Safe to say I will not be returning.

Fries almost cracked my grandsons tooth. Supposed to be urban fries.

Overcooked burned fries supposed to be urban. Almost cracked my grandsons tooth. Owner wanted to give me a credit. Not the first time poor quality food. Not going back that's why I wanted a refund. He said they are on a timer. If so why are they hard as concrete.

Lunch time :)

I've been here once before when it first opened and it's nice to see that their service and food stayed consistent. I was very impressed with the Wagyu burger they had and the Onion rings are very crunchy, just the way I like it. This is a good place to enjoy your lunch break or hang out with a few friends as the other Burger places have gone down in quality but this place has always been milestone ahead from the competition.

Cockroach at Burger-Fi

I can't rate the food at this location. Went in today (on a Sunday) around 3pm. There were 2 employees in the entire place. Both were running around primarily filling online orders. They looked like they were both 17. It must've taken about 10 minutes before one of them finally said, "sorry we're short handed. We'll be right with you." Meanwhile the line behind us began to grow. The most attentive thing in the whole place were the flies that buzzed around our heads. I've had food from Burger Fi before. At a location in NYC and at a location in the Carolinas. Both times I found it to be low quality slop. Do they still do that stupid thing where they brand their logo onto the food? I'm really not interested in eating a billboard, thanks. I went in this time because I always like to give things a chance and was intrigued when it seemed they had expanded their menu. Again, as far as this location goes they were understaffed and it seemed clear that even if we did ever get to order it would probably take even longer to get that order. So we left. Was there a manager there somewhere? Where did they go? Do they have any knowledge about what's going on there today? Do they care? Seems like getting orders filled in a timely fashion is a BIG PROBLEM at this location. Not sure what the fix is but maybe it's time to close this location and to put this company and its concept to bed already. UPDATE: went back several days later. There were several people working behind the counter this time. Ordered the regular fries and a grilled chicken sandwich. The sandwich was serviceable the fries were flavorless. Not sure how that's possible but they were. Watched this cockroach running around on the floor by my feet while I waited for the food. Between the flies, cockroaches, mediocre food, and uneven service Burger-Fi needs to CLOSE

We were warmly greeted on entering. And had excellent service throughout. While waiting for our meal, we were checked up on. I mentioned that the music was blaring and it was hard to have a conversation and they immediately made it softer. Thank you! They had some lite entree specials and a number of appealing sandwiches, but I kept going back to those egg dishes. I ordered eggs Benedict -- two poached eggs over Canadian bacon on English muffins. And over the top, Hollandaise sauce. I chose hash browns as my side (instead of grits). I asked for everything to be well done including the eggs harder. The meal came out piping hot and everything was perfectly cooked. I loved it! And I'd order this meal again. My husband had a meal with two eggs, two sausage links, two pieces of bacon, and half a waffle. He, also, really liked his meal. We both felt prices were reasonable. I even took half of my food home. And we said we would both like to return soon.

The music was too loud for conversation and when a manager stopped by to check on us she immediately turned the music down. Great responsiveness! Thank you! I had the combo eggs, sausage, bacon and half waffle dish, which was perfect! We will be adding this place into our dining rotation for sure!

The vegetables were delicious - we had sides of sautéed spinach ($9) and charred Brussels sprouts (listed as an app at $14). A meatballs starter ($16) was also enjoyed - with a dollop of whipped ricotta in the center. Two of us had pasta entrees. The spaghetti could best be described as "industrial" or "so so" (as one dining companion said). The chicken in the chicken Marsala was "very good". The butterflied shrimp in the parmigiana was so thickly encrusted with fried breading, that the shrimp was completely overwhelmed by mouthfuls of crusty batter that adhered to the shrimp. It was hard to appreciate the shrimp at all in there. They were huge (in fact, they looked like small breaded chicken filets). But the excess of breading and batter overwhelmed the shrimp. Also, stomach not feeling so great later. I write this from the throne. The server had the manager come over to speak to us, and he insisted that's just how it's made and that was that. (He offered to have a few more shrimp cooked up but the meal was done at that point). $32 was a lot to pay for mediocre pasta and breading with shrimp. On the fair side, when asked about the shrimp parmigiana vs another dish, the server said that she would recommend the shrimp because there would be more to take home after - which was not our goal for dinner. For my meal I would give it no more than 2 stars but my companions enjoyed theirs more (despite the "so so" spaghetti), so I upped to 3. Will not be eating here again.

The vegetables sandwich that I ordered had so much oil but fortunately the bread soaked up some of it, so I just discarded the bread. My wife's salad with fish was very good. Also, the fruit served with my sandwich? Just perfectly ripe and enjoyable. One of the things that cracked me up here, being a laid back Texas boy, was over hearing all the incessant, noisy, nasal New York Jewish ladies whining, commiserating and ruminating with each other at the other tables. That was entertaining. I had thought about asking about the homemade desserts but the staff was slammed I guess cause no one came around to check on how things were going and if we needed anything else. Just as well. Counting calories. My tipping default would normally be 20% but today... not sure what I will leave lol.

The espresso martini was good as was the Point Break, with tequila and guava juice, very nice, very tropical. Avalon Beach House used to be Avalon Steak & Seafood House. The first time I went in 2022, I remember it being more of a traditional steakhouse. The Ave has grown significantly around it over the years, but it's still one of the staple restaurants in a central location. Overall, it was great meal with good service and nice atmosphere. It's sill one of the gems. We started with the wedge salad and cheesy bread. We wanted to get the Filet Mignon and the Prime Cut Ribeye to share them, but they were out of the Filet which was a bit surprising. Instead, we got the Crispy Chicken Piccata. They were both excellent. The fingerlings and asparagus were good and loved the red wine sauce. The crispy chicken was not too heavy, with lemon and an ample arugula salad. I don't remember the name of desert, but it was a combo of a browny with an Oreo cookie layer (which the kid in me couldn't refuse) with a scoop vanilla ice cream. It was great.
