    Dry stale gluten free bun
    Samantha W.

I have it 3 stars, but in reality it should be only 2.5 stars. I have had there burgers twice, and both times same issues. The gluten free bun is stale. I know gluten free buns are dry, but I can't even grab the burger without the bun crumbling. The taste of the bun is stale also. I get mad because I pay $2.00 extra for a gluten free bun and it's crap. The burger itself is good, and so are the fries. My opinion is if you need gluten free, don't go here, or if you do, don't get the gluten free bun.

My most recent visit wasn't the best. Originally I was going to order from doordash but checked burger Fi's website first and saw that delivery was offered as well. Even better, I had $10 in points available (also a free birthday shake but could only use one promo at a time). I passed my phone to my sons to enter their order but on checking out I saw the delivery fee was over $14. So I decided to just go pick it up. The time on my order confirmation said 7:40pm. My son and I got to the store right around 7:38. The manager told me our order would just be a few more minutes which was totally fine, so I took a few steps back to not block the counter from other customers. We waited...and waited. At around 7:52 I noticed a bag sitting on top and I asked the manager if that was ours. I have no idea how long it was sitting there, but our food wasn't hot when we got home. We also ordered a milkshake, frozen custard, and a "concrete", so the manager asked the woman in that area if they were ready. She handed me the custard in a cup with no lid and a churro sticking out. It looked delicious, but I had to drive this home. She found a French fry dish to put the churro in and a lid to smash down on the custard. I had to ask for a bag to put the custard, churro, and "concrete" in. Really had me wondering how they'd handle this with a door dash order. Once at home I wasn't impressed with anything other than the custard- that was pretty good. My son got onion rings that weren't very good. My burger tasted very salty for some reason. Might have been the bacon or maybe the pickles? But I didn't really enjoy it at all. Everything was luke warm after a 5 minute trip home. Our last visit previous to this wasn't as bad, although it was a weekday and not as busy so maybe that's the difference. Hoping to update next time with a better review

Food was really great as always, but the service this time was fantastic. They took a minute to get shakes out to us and ended up giving us free custard to apologize. The new owner was involved and seemed to really be making this place great again!

The Avon location has been closed, now reopened and under new management from what?.. not sure what happened there. My family and I always liked BurgerFi previously, never had an issue with any of the food, even when this location was having some difficulties. The staff are friendly, inside looks the same, clean no problems there. The food wasn't good like it used to be, the fries are different, okay, but definitely not great like they once were. The burgers were very disappointing, extremely dry, and had an odd taste to them or it was the bun, couldn't finish it. I hope things change, but I find the Avon Five Guys to be considerably better for a quick burger night.

I really cannot get enough of this spot. If I were to have a fave burger spot, this is it. The conflicted burger is SO GOOD. The fries... oh my. I can eat them all day long. Burgerfi, never close down. I'm begging you.

I have no clue where to begin..... we walk in place is dead empty at 6:30 aside from the Mgr talking to an older couple about how their order was wrong. He was nice and refunded them, yet he looked like he was swimming in the fryer then rolled in breading and took a slide on the floor. He then told the girl behind the counter how bad she's doing her job. We waited an additional 5min and we still were not even greeted let alone take our order as we stood waiting.... So we walked out.... Here's a pic of how clean the counter is next to the taps... I felt I needed a shower after leaving. Space available for rent soon! Follow up: the "follow up" link provided by one person then signed by another is about as useful as the in-house customer service.... It's not clickable, when you enter the link it's a generic site for them. Butgerfi your going for bad to worse in terms of servicing your guests.

Yeah - so we went back. The girl taking my order couldn't hear me I guess. I asked for a single burger with no cheese but I got a double burger with cheese. My husband asked for the cry and fry - she didn't put it in the order, so he had to wait in line and order separately. They got his beer order wrong too. They did correct it, but really - It's not that complicated. Still freezing in the restaurant. No one cleaning off the tables when people leave. The food was tasty, even though: - my husband had to go to get our beers from the front - we had to ask for ketchup (they didn't bring it with our food, not on the tables) - we had to order the cry and fry separately so that came after we had eaten our burgers There's lots of competition in the Farmington Valley for good burgers. It'll be quite a while before I'll be back.

    Dog friendly outdoor patio!!

If you're searching for a burger joint that ticks all the boxes for a memorable dining experience, look no further! The owner and staff are kind and very friendly. From the moment we walked in, they greeted us with warm smiles and genuine enthusiasm. Once they found out we were sitting outside with our dog, the owner brought our dog a treat!! Yes, their outdoor sitting area is dog friendly!!!!

Small, thin burger and $1 topping of grilled mushrooms were barely a teaspoonful ... friendly help but not likely to go back.

That's because when you pull into the shopping plaza.....you don't see it. But if you circle around to the right, you'll see it on the side of the strip mall's buildings. And trust me, this spot is definitely worth hunting down to experience a standout breakfast or lunch. We walked in a little before 1:00 yesterday and found a table for two in the back left corner of the dining room, so we had a good view of the entire room. I have to tell ya, the place was packed! Breakaway closes at 3:00 every day except Sunday (2:00), and there were breakfast and lunch menus out, plus a few daily specials. My wife went with a "William's Ham Panini" ($17) with thin sliced ham, bacon, caramelized onions, cheddar and honey mustard on a grilled panini. We both were struck at how much ham was piled onto her sandwich. She had a few choices for a side dish and put her nickel down on potato salad. I went with The JT Salad ($16). The menu says it's been their "best-selling salad 25 years and counting". It was a big portion of mixed greens served with house balsamic dressing, grape tomatoes, gorgonzola cheese, and grilled chunks of teriyaki glazed chicken breast. It was stellar, with plenty of that yummy cheese and chicken. The only sour note with our lunch was a rather steep $4.25 for a glass of iced tea that was half-filled with ice. The food was very good and a decent amount of leftovers came home with us for another day. I was unexpectedly impressed by how crowded Bistro was on a random Monday. I bet you'll be too.

These were crispy, with goat cheese, crushed pecans and dates. These were excellent! The roasted beet salad was a bit odd. I couldn't find a single beet. It wasn't bad, it had a ton of kale. The winner was Ahi Tuna Bowl. This had rice, avocado, cucumber, edamame and tuna, topped with sriracha. This was flavorful, tasty and a generous portion. I would return here again.

We had a 630 reservation and we seated immediately. This restaurant is very attractively decorated, warm and cozy. One end of the room had a huge stone fireplace and we had a good view of the kitchen. We started with drinks and a terrific little bread basket of freshly baked bread that was topped with a butter infused with just a touch of cinnamon. That was really delicious. Our server took our entrée order of the Chatham Bay fish fry and short ribs of beef bourguignon. The fish and chips was very very good on the fish. Two large pieces of cod that were perfectly deep-fried in a thin but crunchy coating that was excellent. The shoestring fries were a little less impressive in the sense that they looked a bit industrial without a lot of character, but were passable. This dish would've been an 8 out of 10 if the fries had a greater degree of character. This was accompanied by a remoulade, malt vinegar. The short ribs of beef were exceptionally good and would have made Julia Child proud. Short ribs of beef slow cooked in red wine, onion, bacon, and mushrooms, accompanied by mashed potatoes, root veggies. For the two of us, $99. $120 with the tip. The service was prompt, polite, and professional. This was worth a second try.

The large pizzas were $20 and with the additional three toppings per pizza, came to around $30. While mushrooms and spinach both shrink, the toppings were not plentiful. Same with the artichoke, pepper and tomato (hard to see). We had to supplement the toppings with extra tomatoes and garlic. For what we got, it would better to just make our own at home. Or just get plain pizzas and put your own sauteed toppings on. We do like the thin crust and the veggie panini was pretty good though I'd prefer the filling to be more than the covering.
