Takeout Review: BurgerFi opened in 2011 in South Florida; the first time I had it, was there. There are about 120 locations in the US, MX, Middle East, and United Kingdom. The chain also acquired Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza. They serve burgers, veggies burgers, fries, onion rings, custard, beer, wine, chicken wings, and more. I've had their burgers in Florida and was delicious. This was the first time ordering takeout at the Avon location. Oddly enough, I wasn't craving a burger so I decided to order the 6 pieces of sweet Thai chili chicken wings. Those were actually delicious, even though it's a burger place. My husband really enjoyed his burger and fries. I look forward to visiting and trying out their burgers and other menu items again. read more

This was one of the few fastfood burgers that I haven't tried yet so when I was craving a burger, this seemed to be the best place to go. Sadly, it was a very disappointing experience. The burger itself was ok, but not better than cheaper alternatives. The fries were burnt and soggy. Soggy may be because it was take out, but the burnt flavor and color were disappointing and made it inedible. I won't be back any time soon. read more

Use to love this location. But last few tries were all misses. Biggest problem is the burgers were extremely dry and zero flavor. Couldn't hardly finish it due to that. I have it 3 stars, but in reality it should be only 2.5 stars. I have had there burgers twice, and both times same issues. The gluten free bun is stale. I know gluten free buns are dry, but I can't even grab the burger without the bun crumbling. The taste of the bun is stale also. I get mad because I pay $2.00 extra for a gluten free bun and it's crap. The burger itself is good, and so are the fries. My most recent visit wasn't the best. Originally I was going to order from doordash but checked burger Fi's website first and saw that delivery was offered as well. Even better, I had $10 in points available (also a free birthday shake but could only use one promo at a time). I passed my phone to my sons to enter their order but on checking out I saw the delivery fee was over $14. So I decided to just go pick it up. The time on my order confirmation said 7:40pm. My son and I got to the store right around 7:38. The manager told me our order would just be a few more minutes which was totally fine, so I took a few steps back to not block the counter from other customers. We waited...and waited. At around 7:52 I noticed a bag sitting on top and I asked the manager if that was ours. I have no idea how long it was sitting there, but our food wasn't hot when we got home. We also ordered a milkshake, frozen custard, and a "concrete", so the manager asked the woman in that area if they were ready. She handed me the custard in a cup with no lid and a churro sticking out. It looked delicious, but I had to drive this home. She found a French fry dish to put the churro in and a lid to smash down on the custard. I had to ask for a bag to put the custard, churro, and "concrete" in. Really had me wondering how they'd handle this with a door dash order. Once at home I wasn't impressed with anything other than the custard- that was pretty good. My son got onion rings that weren't very good. My burger tasted very salty for some reason. Might have been the bacon or maybe the pickles? But I didn't really enjoy it at all. Everything was luke warm after a 5 minute trip home. Our last visit previous to this wasn't as bad, although it was a weekday and not as busy so maybe that's the difference. First time trying their food. We actually ordered via grubhub and had their spicy chicken sandwiches instead of burgers (trying to avoid red meat). It was delicious and I like that they are more health conscious than similar places, also like having other options besides plain burgers (I get bored!). I also appreciated the fact that they sealed the top of our order bag, I always have concerns whether delivery people touch my food (gross to think about but hey reality). Will def buy from again. It's fine. I used to work here in high school and it was a decent high school job so I have a little bit of a soft spot for them. The fries are good and portion sizes are massive (there's really no "individual" size, I'd say the small can comfortably feed 2). The burgers are great, classic smash burger patties with a decent number of topping options. Miles above five guys in terms of burger quality - they definitely taste "cleaner" and better seasoned as opposed to being a greasy mess. Fries are equal to competition I would say, although they offer them 5-6 ways which is nice. Urban style is pretty good but I'm still a plain fry person. The young girl working when I went in today was very nice, albeit shy. I called in earlier in the day because I was pulled into a meeting when I was supposed to pick up my food and I asked if they could hold it and they were happy to oblige which was appreciated. It's expensive for what it is. My burger and fries came to ~$16 or so which is around what I'd expect to pay at a sit down restaurant for a cooked-to-temp burger. In my opinion they're a lot closer to shake shack quality and should be priced accordingly (maybe $7-8 for a burger). I don't remember it being that expensive when I worked there but I guess that's inflation for you. I wouldn't rush to go back, but it's a viable lunch option. read more

The Avon location has been closed, now reopened and under new management from what?.. not sure what happened there. My family and I always liked BurgerFi previously, never had an issue with any of the food, even when this location was having some difficulties. The staff are friendly, inside looks the same, clean no problems there. The food wasn't good like it used to be, the fries are different, okay, but definitely not great like they once were. The burgers were very disappointing, extremely dry, and had an odd taste to them or it was the bun, couldn't finish it. I hope things change, but I find the Avon Five Guys to be considerably better for a quick burger night. read more

I have no clue where to begin..... we walk in place is dead empty at 6:30 aside from the Mgr talking to an older couple about how their order was wrong. He was nice and refunded them, yet he looked like he was swimming in the fryer then rolled in breading and took a slide on the floor. He then told the girl behind the counter how bad she's doing her job. We waited an additional 5min and we still were not even greeted let alone take our order as we stood waiting.... So we walked out.... Here's a pic of how clean the counter is next to the taps... I felt I needed a shower after leaving. Space available for rent soon! My husband asked for the cry and fry - she didn't put it in the order, so he had to wait in line and order separately. They got his beer order wrong too. They did correct it, but really - It's not that complicated. Still freezing in the restaurant. No one cleaning off the tables when people leave. I had the CEO, fries, and some custard to go and the staff was so pleasant and professional. BurgerFi has all the ingredients to knock it out of the park. Great shakes. Solid beer choices. And a really good Veggie Burger. And then the service just takes it and messes it all up. You know the drill. It's similar to a Shake Shack. Order at the counter. And wait for your order. When we walked in, there was only one person finishing up and not many others waiting. No problem, right. Except here we waited. And waited. Some others got their order. Over 25 minutes later, and a bit of pestering from em, did I get it. And where's the shakes? Sigh. The kitchen seemed frazzled. Not a good look. The burgers are good. The veggie burger was among the best I've had. Sadly the fries were cooked too long and were a bit oily. Made our first trip to the newest burger joint in the Farmington Valley today. BurgerFi has been open for about a month, joining Five Guys and Plan B as a burger destination. We ordered at the counter, were given one of those vibrating thingies, took a seat, and before too long, our vibrating thingie started doing a dance to signal our food was ready. We ordered a Veggie Burger ($6.97), a Single Burger ($3.97), regular fries ($2.97), and a soft drink ($2.57) from their Freestyle Soda machine. My quinoa based Veggie Burger was really good. Nice taste, nice texture, and nice exterior crunch. I dressed it up with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, BBQ sauce and jalapenos from the freebie menu. Fries were very good - a generous portion size for a "regular". They were hot and fresh. My only quibble? Maybe a teense too salty. Seventeen and a half bucks for lunch. Stopped in today for a late lunch, we were 1st timers to BURGERFI. My fiancee ordered the Breakfast All Day Burger, I went with the Build Your Best Burger (a double w/ American cheese, grilled mushroom, pickles & BBQ sauce). We shared a large order of French fries with cheese sauce and had two small drinks. Waited about 10 minutes or so for our food. Burgers were tasty enough, but can't see coming back. The cost of our meals was just over $29, I feel that's too much for burgers which are very similar to what you can get at Five Guys. I imagine a lot of other people feel the same, we only saw a handful of people in BURGERFI when we were there. Usually a Five Guys location is doing a good business, I honestly believe that price is the bottom line factor for this difference in customer traffic. read more

Friendly staff at the counter. The conflicted burger is my favorite. While it was tasty, I'm not saying it was not good I'm saying that it tasted better in Florida. The urban fries are another favorite. But the garlic aoli was a little plain and tasted much better at the Deerfield Beach store. Much more flavor there. It was just light in flavor here. Other than that very good as usual. The only thing that put me off was what a manager or I think he was a manager said. I was the only one in line. A young guy came in looking for employment, the employee at the counter didn't have any applications left. When the manager popped up his response was 1:30 on a Friday was not good. This place is a complete Shake Shack ripoff, but they do a damn good job coming close to the real thing. I love the Shake Shack-style burgers, so I loved the BurgerFi burger I had here. The patty was well-seasoned, the vegetables fresh, the buns soft and nicely toasted, and there was tons of cheese to satisfy this cheese-lover. My friend and I shared a large order of the Cajun fries and it was perfect. Contrary to what others here have said, the fries are pretty crispy. Could they be crispier? Probably. But I like crispy french fries, and I was satisfied with the ones here. They're worth the order. My only real complaint is the prices. They're as outrageous as the prices at Shake Shack. A regular burger with fries and drink tops $10. My friend got a custom burger, half of our order of fries, and a soda, and his order came out to about $15, which is about as much as you'd expect to spend on a burger at an upscale place. For a place this casual, the prices should be a few dollars lower. As it stands, the prices make this place a rare indulgence rather than a frequent stop. If you want a good Shake-Shack-style burger, this is the place to go, but expect to pay more than the food deserves. read more

I have to be honest I used to be a BurgerFi junkie back in the day. Back 5 to 7 years ago when they used to have amazing fresh made strawberry lemonade everyday I used to come here two or three times a week mostly in their Southeast locations where they started. Other than going to the one in Anchorage, Alaska, two summers ago I haven't been to a location in more than three years, but have a buddy that lives for hamburgers so I brought him here to give it a try. He lives in Montana where there are no BurgerFi's yet. I used to inhale their All Day Breakfast Burger and they're double burgers all the time and nobody can complain about those they do a phenomenal job with hamburgers here and the fries are enough to feed a farm and taste excellent. All agree that even at this location the burgers we're all that we remembered. However, in the last few years I started to eat a little bit healthier and don't eat as much meat, which means I was forced to try the chicken tenders. It said the tenders were all natural and fresh and I figured that as amazing as their hamburgers are they wouldn't do a poor job with chicken tenders. After all, when we walked in there was a huge advertisement about how fresh and good they were. Unfortunately, I knew there was a problem when I saw the guy grabbed five rock hard chicken tenders and throw them into the deep fryer. A quick disclaimer. I'm comparing this experience to everybody else that serves chicken tenders. That means awesome places like Raising Cane's, Zaxby's, PDQ and even average fast food chains like Bojangles are on that list. This was the worst chicken tender I've ever had. So bad, that I took one bite out of two of the five and simply brought them to the trash and threw them away. I've never said this before, but they were worse than McDonald's. McDonald's is probably my least favorite place to eat and their chicken tenders blew these away. That means at almost $9 for 5 chicken tenders they went straight to the garbage can and there was no other decision to be made because they were that bad. My friend who lives off eating McDonald's tried one and said the same thing. I don't even know how to describe them because I've never had a tender this bad before but imagine if it was Subway quality for a chicken tender. The meat wasn't very white it was more dull oh, it had no flavor at all and it taste like scraps off what could have been a thigh? I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but do not order chicken tenders here. They need to be taken off the menu. Stick to burgers and fries and you'll be a return customer. And yes we did tell the cashier about our experience and she smiled and said thank you and could care less. I ate a granola bar instead. read more

Great food and customer service. I have been multiple times and the food is always great. Will take longer than usual to receive food during peak business hours of course. My favorite burgers are the Ceo Burger and the Rodeo burger! One employee who particularly stood out to me as a great employee was Kacey. She's quick to greet and quite friendly especially if you're a regular! The atmosphere of the restaurant is also great. There are multiple TVs to watch, meathook lights above the tables, and a large ceiling fan in the middle of the lobby. A very enjoyable experience overall and a great spot to dine-in with the family. The chicken sandwich doesn't have a whole lot of taste to it, but it isn't bad. My only concerns was the difficulty of getting around the app, in order to place an order. As well as trying to see what kind of oil they use to fry with. I do like that it notifies you that you can check by location what kind of oil is being used. But, I couldn't find it. The food was fresh and hot, and the BurgerFi sauce is addictive in my opinion. It was a nice ride from the West side of the state but it did not make me upset for taking the ride. My burger was so gross I threw half of it away. I've never hated a burger so much in my life and this was my first and last experience at Burger Fi. What was gross about it? ALL OF IT. The bread was soggy and I picked this thing up right after it was ready. The "bacon" tasted like a dog treat, the meat wasn't even hot and the overall texture of the ingredients was sloppy and mushy and everything fell apart before you could even pick it up. read more
