I'd never been to a Burger Baron before but after watching Omar Mouallem's documentary "The Last Baron", I knew I needed to give it a chance and I'm so glad I did. No, this isn't the best burger I've ever had but it was genuinely good and absolutely rivals similar fast food options. I had the vegetarian version of their baron burger and my husband had a vegetarian mushroom burger. I really enjoyed the baron sauce on mine but after trying the "famous" mushroom burger, I regretted not getting that myself. Next time for sure! We also shared a side of corn fritters which was a fun change from the usual french fries. The atmosphere at this location is nothing to speak of. It kind of reminds me of what fast food places looked like in the 90s. Don't let that fool your. I've heard of Burger Baron & wanted to try the Oilers burger. I ordered the burger with a small order of fries (drive through) 15250-111Ave. I didn't understand why the fries had a sweet taste; transfer from making a donair? They weren't greasy. The Oilers burger was a "hot mess" the thinnest hamburger patty I've ever seen. Shredded lettuce, paper thin cucumber, pickles, buns were soaked with sauce? A very sloppy burger! I ate half of it; couldn't stomach the rest. Checking my bank transactions...$18.98 for 1 burger & small fries! Subtracting 5% for GST leaves the *bill at $18.31, for 2 items averaging takes us to $9.16 per item. Seems like burgers are that much but a small order of fries??? I can't recommend this location. Service was fine. The Mushroom Burger bun is heavier than I remember. Glad to see the Fritters still on the menu.

Stopped in 2 weeks ago because I haVe always heard about the mushroom burger and how good the mushroom sauce was. I'm sure their other burgers are good too, but that mushroom sauce is AWESOME!!! Reasonably priced too. I left full and extremely satisfied!!! Plus the owner seems like a really good dude!!!! I've already been back again since my first time and will be back many times in the future! Try it. The stories you have heard about the mushroom burger are true. They also have Halifax Donairs which I have not tried even though I love them because I can't go there and not have the mushroom burger!! read more

We needed a quick burger on the way home, and this was in the neighborhood, and a local chain. There are many locations throughout Edmonton. I think my favorite is the one just off of 82 ave on about 73 street. They all seem to be family run. This location has a drive through. The lobby is only open until 7pm; after that you are restricted to car only! The burgers are nothing special. Frozen patties and packaged buns. They are grilled fresh though and they are local. This location offers Halifax Donairs as well as the burgers. Tuesday is the 2 for 1 Mushroom burger day. I am not that hungry, so I just ordered a single. It was an "okay" experience. I am used to the sauce dripping off of the burger and needed a ton of napkins. The onion rings were really good. Hubby had the Hawaiian Burger which he said was quite good. As a chain, I am disappointed that they aren't all similar quality and standards. read more

Really..!? You've never had a Burger Baron Mushroom burger...? Check out Edmontons' best mushroom at Kelly's BB on 111ave. Make sure you ask for extra napkins as the large helping tends to overflow ,but that just makes it better. Add more cheese and you have a real treat. Most BB in Edmonton are good and run by relatives of a large extended family and have been for decades.They all know how to do burgers...but I like Kelly and his super friendly staff.
