Winter coats are the only things I buy here (I have two of their cashmere and wool coats and one full length cashmere and wool trench) because their jackets are made from quality materials, the panels are cut properly, the designs are timeless, and the fit is european. Sales people aren't too pushy and they back off when you tell them to. Of all the pish tosh stores in SCP, Burberry is my favorite. Though I don't buy anything other than winter coats, I come in to see what they have throughout the year and I appreciate their attention to detail without making things look too busy like all the other hideous top shelf designers. read more

You'd think for being a major designer store this place would be a lot neater? NOPES, the place was a mess when I went to look for the shimmer bag collection. I guess they were having a clearance sale or something, people were all over the place misplacing bags or just standing there gawking at stuff overcrowding the store. Customer service was so so, I asked a lady to see if any of the other burberry stores had the bag in stock and she simply told me she could give me a list of numbers to call myself. Purchased a shirt for my mom on the Burberry website. It turned out to be too large so I purchased the size down and sent the large one back. My package was returned to me days later saying it did not meeting the returns standards and listed four possible reasons without specifying which I had violated. After reading the reviews on this location I became nervous that I would be denied a simple return. In the end, I discovered that the current staff is friendly and helpful. I was greeted immediately as I walked through the door and asked how I could be helped. Turns out that my return fell outside of the 30 day return window, but the manager issued me a refund on the 37th day. I really appreciate that. read more

Somehow they managed to make their service even better. Went there and was greeted by 4-5 ladies at the same time lol. AWESOME... So I finally picked one to go with after talking to them all. She happened to be the first one that popped my Burberry cherry (Burcherry?). AND she remembered me. Her and another lady offered to help me out on getting another strap for my timepiece since the one on my watch is wearing a lil (I do work on it, lol. And I'm somewhat OCD on a few things). I had a security sensor on my shirt that i got from a Burberry outlet in Cabazon. I went to this store since it was close to my house. I didn't have the receipt since I threw the bag away. I assumed it would be an easy solution for them to just see my purchase history on my Burberry profile. But no. the people give me a whole questionnaire about the receipt when I was pretty damn sure they could just look up my purchase history on Burberry site. But for some reason, they just wanted to make me feel like I was a thief. Their demeanor was so condescending and discriminatory. Recently, I bought a purse, wallet and perfume at the SC Burberry store. I was very impressed with the service bestowed by the saleswoman who helped me with my purchase. I also love the fact they offered me an exclusive purse I have not seen on anyone's arm since I bought it three months ago. I receive so many compliments I am always glad I spent the money on quality and beauty. My only dissatisfaction with my buying experience is I felt the employees ... sans the woman who helped me, were a little too snooty. They sneered at me until I actually whipped out my wallet. I have nothing against Burberry. I am actually quite a big fan, I own many scarves and accessories. But I did try to go into the store during this Christmas to buy a cute little watch. After having to wait several minutes to even see the watch, all they could provide me was the display model with worn leather straps. Even with that I would have bought the damn watch if they treated me even the least bit courteously. However, annoyed by my inquiries about changing the strap, the sales associate said 'Either you take it like that or not' I was shocked. That was the last straw. Big mistake lady, you just missed out on a big sale! Never going to that store again, and if you do, don't ask the older Korean lady for help. Makes the rest of us Koreans look bad! read more

Oh. My. Gosh. Worst sales associates I have EVER met. My nightmarish Burberry (Costa Mesa) story went like this: Roughly 2 weeks ago I went into the store to look at a men's watch for my boyfriend's birthday. I already had an idea of what I wanted, but I thought it would be good to look at it in person and see what else was available. The watch I wanted was in stock, and beautiful. I was ready to spend $600+. The only hitch was that I live with my boyfriend, and I didn't want to risk him stumbling upon it before his birthday. After explaining this to the salesman, I was told (with strong assurance) that this watch would still be in stock in 2 weeks since they had so many in the store. Okay, perfect, I thought. Flash forward two weeks: not so perfect. This evening, after a 13 hour work day, I mosey back into the store. Boyfriend's birthday isn't for a week, but I figured I should stop in and avoid a possible mishap the day before his birthday. And thank god for that. Not only did they not have the watch I was told would be in stock, but the mean and pushy saleswoman kept trying to make me buy the (cheaper) more feminine watch or versions that I was simply not interested in. When I finally made her realize that I was not interested in her compromises (which involved me looking up the right watch on my phone and emphasizing the importance of the size of the face), she said she could have the watch shipped to me for a fee. For a fee, that she refused to waive.. Are you kidding me? After all of this I have to pay for one of their sales associate's incorrect statement? I worked in retail, I know you can have items shipped to customers for free. Oh, and then she informed me that the watch probably wouldn't arrive before we left for our trip on Tuesday. Awesome. After making it clear that I was extremely frustrated/disappointed/in a very crappy spot because of their store, I told her I would be spending my money elsewhere. I then walked to Bloomingdale's, where I was met by some of the sweetest and most helpful sales associates, and was able to purchase the exact watch that I wanted. Moral of the story- spend your money at a store where your purchases and loyalty are appreciated. Not this Burberry store. read more

I visited this store a few days a go to do some mystery shopping with a couple of my colleagues. Our focus was customer service. There was a sales associate by the name of Brandon helping us. He walked over to ask if we needed help seconds of us being there. He was extremely welcoming. He helped us with a jacket, grabbed more sizes from the back for us. He showed us different ways of tieing the jacket and gave us some quick history of the jackets. Fun facts that I had no idea of. Before this experience I would not have considered myself a fan of Burberry, nor would I have said that Burberry would be my first designer choice. I bought a pair of shoes for my husbands birthday. After 7 month there is a torn on it . When I took it to the store they just said sorry warranty is just for 6 month you can take it to the shoes repair shop.I think this is not mentioned on the receipt. The strap binding is broken on my Burberry bag after two month use. After contact customer service and being told that I can bring to any store for free repair since it is still under one year warranty. However the store refused to repair only because I tried to fit by using super glue. Actually the glue did not stay and can be peeled off easily. The store manager Ms. Ericka Williams even suggested me to bring it to any leather repair store for repairing. I am so surprised by their such poor service. read more

So usually when I go shopping i dress like a bum so the staff don't bother me until I decide to make a purchase. So being approached by a friendly sales staff here made me decide to give this lady a chance. (Forgot her name sorry but she was blonde). I went Burbery store to buy another umbella on last Friday. Problem started after select what I wanted. My frienend wanted to pay with his credit card. They asked credit card and valid id and he showed both of them . Suddenly one of the sales associate did DEMAND to sign the back of the credit card. I aksed my friend not to follow their demand. Then Mananger showed up and tod us they can not sell any products without signature on back of credit card and that's their policy. I left the store and pruchased umbreall from SAKS Fifith.
