I only look at the shirts and hats because the jackets and pants/shorts always seem way over priced. I know some of these are limited edition but c'mon.. if you want $250 for a jacket you're gonna have to add more than a patch or small graphic to a regular looking jacket/hoodie to get my business. Also, this place could use some better customer service. I don't know how many times I've stopped by and the guy at the desk just sits there clicking away on the computer.

Checking out took abnormally long due to one register, and a buyer being upset from a past purchase and not agreeing with stores policy, felt bad for the worker handling that issue/confrontation. A vintage 100% silk Victoria's Secret top? $0.10--yes, ten cents. A rag & bone handbag? Also $0.10. When I asked for clarification, they said maybe the buyer didn't realize the brand... but even then, how does that justify ten cents? The only offer that felt remotely fair was $50 for my Balenciaga hoodie. Everything else? Basically nothing--$1 total for four additional items. They were also "authenticating" my vintage Dior bag, and at that point I just stopped the process. I wasn't about to risk them offering me such a low price for it. It genuinely felt absurd. I understand resale businesses need margin, but this felt extreme. It honestly made me feel bad for people who sell here--like you'd have to be in a really tough spot to accept those kinds of offers. What's more frustrating is that nothing in the store is priced anywhere near that low. As a buyer, I've spent real money here--I even bought a beautiful vintage D&G belt for $250. Now I can't help but wonder what they paid for it. This experience definitely changed how I see the store. I still think they have great pieces, but the selling side feels incredibly one-sided. Offering even 20-30% of resale value would feel a lot more reasonable. Their "coding" for buying, It's a huge scam. As much as i loved shopping here.. you are better off not selling. Don't give your items away unless you're truly okay with the price--don't make a decision out of desperation. (If you have that luxury)

My wife and I were there during our vacation over the Christmas holiday when she spotted a $5,000 leather Burberry coat that was on sale that she wanted. They didn't have her small size until a girl named Erica found one in the back. We carefully inspected it right there and then, and it was flawless, so I decided that I was going to get it as a Christmas present for my wife. I wanted it shipped back to my home state, and I had asked for a Burberry box since it was a gift. When we came back from our vacation on Christmas day, the Burberry coat had arrived. Not only did it NOT come with a gift box, but it also had this quarter-size pen mark on the collar, and someone had tried to clean it off, but left a bigger mark there instead. The coat was placed backwards inside a garment bag, so that we couldn't see the pen mark and damage when we first unzipped the bag. I had never seen my wife so disappointed and shocked before when we took the coat out. This was deliberately done. We both grew up in Southern California, went to UCLA and then UCSF for medical school. We shopped at South Coast Plaza all of our lives. This is South Coast Plaza, and there is a standard here, a high one, that keeps us and many others coming back again and again. Whether this Erica girl deliberately sent us a marked and damaged $5,000 leather Burberry coat or not I can't be sure. But what I am certain of, is that she was in charge of the handling of that coat, and to get it to us (it was NOT damaged when we were there inspecting it). And that is how it arrived to us damaged. Whether it is her or someone in shipping or anyone else there who handled this coat after we purchased it, this should have never happened, and the damaged coat should never have been sent out or sold to a customer. You would think the Burberry employees at South Coast Plaza were trained better than this. We thought we were going to have one of the best Christmas in a long time, but instead it became one of the worst ever. We will never shop at Burberry at South Coast Plaza again. I would rather take my business to the Rodeo Drive or the San Diego locations, since their customer service are head and shoulders above, and I know that my expensive purchases will be handled correctly, as they always have been before, and that we will never be disappointed. I purchased a Burberry bag from the Burberry store in Costa Mesa. I have never seen nor experienced such poor customer service from a high end store. The bag I had purchased had stitches that started to unravel after less than five months of light use. The bag was in excess of $1500 and should last much longer than this. Unfortunately Burberry only stands behind their product for only 30 days from date of purchase, when nothing really happens to the product. I requested for store credit or exchange, given the defective product. The sales associates were very rude, argumentative and very temperamental, all of which can be verified through the store cameras. I asked for the store manager, but was informed he/she was not there and that no one could assist me in the meantime. I asked for the associates name and she would not disclose her real name, until I threatened to contact the District Manager. Sadly, Nordstrom stands behind the Burberry products they sell more than Burberry stands behind its own products. I would not recommend purchasing anything from Burberry directly, especially the Costa Mesa store, unless your willing to go through te same experience. Unfortunately I was not the only mistreated customer, as there were many others before me. This is the norm at this store. read more

A few minutes later, a personal shopper named Bing came over and told me I had to get out because she needed the room for her clients. What shocked me wasn't that she needed the room, it was that she expected me to leave immediately without even letting me put my own clothes back on. I ended up walking through the store wearing the dress I was trying on while carrying my outfit and bra to another fitting room. It was honestly humiliating. If fitting rooms are reserved for personal shopping, they should be clearly marked or kept closed. And if someone is already inside, the least they deserve is the chance to get dressed before being asked to move. I've always expected better customer service from Bloomingdale's, which made this experience especially disappointing.

I have a store credit card and was told that if I upgraded to the MC, I'd get more points with my AT purchases, plus I'd get 20% off my purchase, if I applied for it same day. Sure, why not? I really like their clothes for work so I'll be a returning customer. The AT credit card is also valid for use at the Loft and Loft Factory stores as well. The AT Factory store have sales going on throughout the year, with most of the sales centered around holidays. While the items on sale can vary, it's best to check out the clearance section for your size. It's hit or miss but for me, my size is always available. It's just the process of choosing which looks best. I stick to classics because they are more versatile. They also carry accessories like jewelry, scarves, shoes, and hats so you can buy a complete outfit if needed. Service is pretty standard for an outlet store. I'm definitely a fan.
