Excellent clothing selection for women and children. Loved the green/yellow and red plaid jackets and dresses. The kids' clothes are adorable although I was surprised to see some are made in China. Check the labels! My jacket was made in Portugal and the dressier one I'm considering is made in Bosnia Herzegovina. They also have a good scarf selection. The sales associates are nice and helpful. I found trendier bags, asymmetrically shaped and in bright colors. Note: complimentary alterations! The tailor with whom I consulted was knowledgeable and cordial. Recently, a special someone gifted me with a Burberry Wide Check Cashmere Scarf...PLUS an "all-expenses-paid-shopping-getaway." One of the destinations on the "shopping getaway" was the Burberry boutique --- South Coast Plaza. Founded in 1856 by Thomas Burberry, "Burberry" is "a global brand with a deep British heritage." Although the South Coast Plaza location is not as large as the Beverly Hills flagship store, they do indeed have a wonderful selection of outerwear, handbags, scarves, miscellaneous accessories, dresses, blazers, shoes, menswear, children's apparel, beauty, & of course, their signature trademark, "The Burberry Check." Pre-arrival, he arranged an appointment for us with the same sales associate he had previously worked with. Upon entry & throughout our visit, our lovely sales associate was an absolute delight. She greeted us warmly as if she was welcoming us into her own home, made us feel very comfortable, provided a history of the Burberry brand, & offered us refreshments & champagne --- served on a silver platter. She was extremely gracious, attentive, & patient while showing us several pieces, & carefully gift wrapped items that were purchased for me. We were treated so well that I really did feel like I was on a mini-vacation/getaway! Seriously...I didn't want to leave! After visiting other boutiques & as we were preparing to depart South Coast Plaza, we passed by Burberry again & noticed our sales associate waving for us to return. When we did, she thanked us again for our business, & kindly gave us her personal cell phone number on a business card in case we were interested in anything else in-store, a special order, tailoring, or anything else...anytime. It is rare these days that a shopping experience is so extraordinarily perfect that you feel like you're enjoying a mini-vacation/getaway, but our visit to Burberry South Coast Plaza was just that...absolutely perfect! This stores leaders set incorrect expectations, outright lied to me, and then was unresponsive. Came yesterday for the exclusive styling event for the launch of the SS24 collection by Daniel Lee. And WOW what an amazing collection of colors, textures and patterns! My favorites were the houndstooth dress and the light yellow set with dandelions. Its so effortless chic, I love it! They're also doing custom embroidery for a limited time. Very disappointed with customer service and ability to exchange items. I bought Christmas presents 30 days in advance prior to Christmas. Unfortunately the sizes are off due to the luxury sizes running slightly smaller. Now I cannot even exchange these items for the proper size due to strict exchange policies. So basically they're just junk now. Wasting thousands of dollars on unusable luxury product with no willingness from the brand to assist is beyond frustrating. It is so upsetting that a brand that is supposed to be luxury won't even exchange their high-end products for the proper size for their clients. If customer service was important I wouldn't read the same review numerous times on their yelp site. It doesn't seem I'm going to feel safe buying Burberry going forward, even though I do like the product. read more

This evening, I walked in with a buddy. We were friendly and dressed appropriately, but kept getting followed and not simply able to walk around without feeling like someone is breathing down our necks. After a few minutes, the lady told us to follow them on Instagram and said to have a good night, meaning to get out of the store. What she doesn't know, is not all millionaires dress super fancy. It was like love at first sight. I tried to resist... but it was like I could not escape the gravitational pull that kept me coming back to my Burberry Medium Leather and Vintage Check Two-handle Title Bag. This location of Burberry is on the 1st floor of South Coast Plaza, across from Louis Vuitton. They have the male section to the left and the female section to the right. They have clothing, accessories, shoes, fragrances, handbags and more. My friend and I took a full walk around the whole store until I finally saw the likeness of what I yearned for. Nick approached us with amazing upbeat friendly vibes and offered us his assistance. I was bumming it in my OC Athleisure attire, so I was surprised I got any attention at the Burberry store. I walked into the store with every intention to get the bag, but I was just curious to see how they would treat us. Nick was actually working the sales with some sparkling water, and telling me about the little details about the purse that makes it sturdy and fashionable. Fun fact on my new bundle of joy, the triple stud accent on the title bags represents the past present and future. I really enjoy the symbolism so it can be a constant reminder for me to work for the future I want. As Nick wrapped up my baby with great care and precision, my friend and I were enjoying champagne and toasting to my glorious purchase. We were having such a great time!! I highly recommend making your Burberry purchases in-store to truly enjoy all of the perks the storefront has to offer. Nick was so friendly and knowledgeable, he made my purchasing experience incredibly enjoyable and reassuring. I highly recommend Nick's service if you need extra help deciding on what is the right product for you. My handbag is extremely durable and it comes with one complimentary cleaning at the store within the year. You definitely need to be aware of the perks of your purchase so you don't miss out. I plan on taking such good care of my purse. I wouldn't mind paying for subsequent cleanings out of pocket to make sure my purse remains well taken care of. Work hard. Player harder! Looking at my purse just makes my heart smile. This is the standard of life I want, and I wouldn't settle for any less. read more

Came into the Burberry store since they had a really great sale online and the scarves I wanted were only sold in store. When we got here, however, we were disappointed that all of their sale items were gone. They said it was "due to their relocation" so all of the sale items were sold first. I guess that's understandable. With their scarves, it's so important to look at them in store. There's only so much you can tell from online, such as the fit, the feel of the fabric, and how it looks on you. Because they didn't have custom embroidery available in the store, I only came in just to browse which one would be better to purchase but I did end up buying the classic cashmere scarf online so I could get the tan embroidery for free. If you have a shop runner account, you get free 2-day shipping. Since the delivery time was equivalent for home or in-store delivery, I opted for in-store so I could also pick up the shopping bag (they'll only do gift wrapping if you ship to your home.) The personalization definitely takes more time to prepare but I kid you not, once the work was completed and the item had been marked as shipped, I received it 24 hours later. Talk about speed! Picking it up at the store was a breeze. Just had to show them my email confirmation with my order number and despite the email requiring you to show your photo ID and the card you used to purchase it, I did not need to show it to them. The only reason why I docked them a star was because I had ordered my mom's scarf the day before I decided to order one for myself and for some reason I received mine two days before hers. I emailed customer service and they said that some orders take longer than others but it was literally the same scarf with the same colored embroidery and the letters "AZC" seem harder to have embroidered than "CRZ" so I'm not sure what happened there. I also was a bit disappointed in the package display. Yes, they'll wrap your product in gift wrapping if you opt for it, which in this case is wrapping the item with tissue paper and sealing with the Burberry signature sticker inside a sturdy cardboard box, which is then placed inside their bag. I didn't like that the bags looked as if they had been through some work, as in there were some scuffs and dents that seemed like they traveled some ways to get to me. I also thought it was odd how my own scarf did not have ribbon tied around the box and the bag but my mom's did. It almost gives me the impression that it just depends on who's working at that time that will determine to what level of presentation their team wants to put forward. To me, that's not a good look but I guess I'm just nitpicking. Overall, I did enjoy my shopping experience here and plan to purchase more products in the future. I do hope that they take my suggestions quite seriously regarding the packaging and presentation. They're still a designer store in my books, so I would hope that they'd like to continue providing the same level of excellence that their competitors consistently provide. (98/100--2019) read more

This location is terrible and management needs to step in and retrain. I walked in with my niece and we were dressed casually. As soon as we walked in, two women looked at us and started laughing. When we passed them, one of the reps followed us around the store. My niece felt very uncomfortable and asked why we were being followed. I turned around and the woman just laughed and confirmed that she was walking behind us. I wanted to set a good example for my niece and help her understand that we will not be made to feel less than, so I continued to shop and even asked the woman to show me a few pieces. But honestly, if my niece weren't with me, I would have had a few choice words for her and given both reps a piece of my mind. Being dressed casually does not give anyone the right to be classist and walk behind the customer to keep a close eye on them. And it definitely doesn't mean that a person can't afford their products. I used to really like this brand until our treatment today, but after seeing how hurt my niece was after this experience, I will not be supporting this company anymore. read more

The store has size 4. He offers free alterations. He also checks in stocks and there is only one size 2 in New York. He puts the order in for me but he can't guarantee it. Had minor issues with an exchange, dealing with a store manager with a bad attitude who was trying to multitask while helping me, u til we called him out on it. I asked to speak with the GM (who he told me would give me the exact same answer), Jason who very easily was able to help and was awesome to deal with. Lucy was also super sweet and helpful. I understand their employees want to help you during your shopping experience but Riri doesn't hover over you she allows you space and the opportunity to ask questions which is one of the biggest reasons why I felt the need to leave a review! Me and my cousin went to this store, just looking around , but we noticed that an employee was following us around, and it was really obvious as well. Me and my cousin looked really decent and well dressed, i don't know why she assumed we were doing something. But, whenever we would stop she would stop and kinda try to see what we were doing, she followed us across the entire store. It made me and my cousin so uncomfortable we had to leave, we felt really awful about it afterwards. Really poor service to follow someone across the entire store. This is an overdue review, about a month ago I went in to buy a pair of shoes I knew exactly what I wanted but no one seemed interested in really helping me. Which is fine I walked around the store for a bit, it was a slower day so there weren't too many employees on the floor. Finally a gentlemen helped me out, they didn't have my size so he online ordered for me. When the ordered arrived I got an email update, and of course the guy messed up my information. If you haven't been back to Burberry in a while, you'll notice one significant thing: they've moved downstairs next to the fountain. All I can say is: Wow, what a store! The store had their soft grand opening two weeks ago and man, the store is significantly bigger than before. It stretches all the way back and end with a nice wall television displaying runway models. The lighting is great and the sales people are very polite and do not pass judgment at their patrons, unlike some places in this mall. The interior still has that new store smell. I pointed it out to the sales rep, Patty, who assisted me last time last week. She had to show me where the polo t-shirts were located, because they are now apparently hidden behind some mirrors in the mens section. I'm sort of a regular here, so other sales people recognized me and said hi. Apparently, not only did Burberry keep the staff from the old location, but they also hired from outside...and most of them, like Patty, were only on their first week of work. She had some time and actually showed me around the place. Womens clothing still predominate, but the men have one-third of the place. BEYOND RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE. 5 months ago I saw a nice handbag in the window of this store but it was closed. I went back to the store a couple of weeks later and they were closing in 5 minutes and therefore did not want to let me in to see the bag. The woman at the door told me to 'come back another day'. Busy with other things, I finally had time to return to the store a third time today and was there 30 minutes before closing (plenty of time). A young man named Andy who was very nice let me into the store and went searching all over for the bag. He finally found it (about 20 minutes in) and let me try it on. I had it on my shoulder when he was 'called away' by the 'manager' to do something in the back (really? the manager interrupts the customer and the sale because whatever happens in back right before the store closes is so much more important than serving the person standing there who he was already helping????) At this point, it was close to closing time and I was the only customer in the store. A young man with blonde hair (who was maybe a security person or maybe a sales associate?) approached me within 3 feet and told me to raise the mask I was wearing over the top of my nose. I told him he was closer than 6 feet, that I had to breathe, that he had approached me not vice versa, that I was the ONLY person on the selling floor of the store (besides him), and that he was welcome to back up. He refused to back up, standing closer to me than 6 feet, demanded I raise my mask over the top of my nose, and told me that Andy had "gone in back" because "the manager called him". Really? I explained that I was waiting for Andy to return so that I could buy the bag. He told me that If I did not raise the mask over the top of my nose then I had to leave the store. I told him that he had just cost the store not only the sale of the $3,000 purse but also my future business. He obviously was quite proud of himself and enjoyed his little power trip, and grinned as he wished me a nice day and I left the store. Note to Burberrry: You will not stay in business as a luxury store behaving the way you did with me. read more

I came in here to buy a double-breasted trench coat for my Father - he thinks that kind of coat makes him look like George Raft ;-) I wanted to buy the coat in the same color as the one George wore in my Father's favorite movie, but they didn't have that one in stock at this Burberry location. No worries - the amazingly helpful and friendly staffer who was helping me found the coat in the color I wanted at another Burberry store; she arranged to have them hold it there for me to pick up - now THAT'S what I call exceptional customer service! I left Burberry feeling happy and with no doubt in my mind that I'll be back. read more

We are very pleased with the service and product we have received from this store. We have shopped with Grace - who was wonderful- and more recently we have been shopping mainly with Luis. We've bought sweaters, jackets, pants, shorts, shoes, etc. and have been happy with the service provided. Very friendly and Luis always reaches out to us with new products. We feel welcomed in the store. There is great ease of making a shopping appointment so you don't get stuck in a line due to business or capacity problems. I bought a bottle of their Burberry London Special Edition last night near closing time. A nice woman named helped me out, and even though I mentioned it was just for myself, she insisted on boxing my perfume and tying it up in a gold bow. then placed it in one of their gift bags, then tied that up in a bow... It's the service I remembered when I bought a bottle of perfume at their flagship store in london. They go the extra mile in closing the sale and I love them for it. So why the 4 star rating? I wasn't contacted or greeted when entering the store, nor when I was lingering in front of their fragrance display for an extended period of time. Located at South Coast Plaza, on the 1st floor. My mother, husband and I stopped by here 2 Sundays ago (Dec 13), specifically to check out Burberry's current end of year sale (started about 2 weeks ago). My mother has been looking to add another high end brand designer bag to her current collection and has been eyeing Burberry. Now I am a big fan of Burberry clothing (although I have rather a small collection, each piece I have is well made and classic that goes with just about anything and everything), but I do not own any of their handbags. But anyways, we were really here for my mom. So as I browsed through the different rooms, I was a little disappointed that there wasn't as much of their sales items left (much more available on line when the 1st day of the sale began). One sales associate was helping me as I was looking over the sales wallets and sales scarves. None of which really made me want to purchase. But another sales associate helped my mom as she was trying on this one small handbag. She ended up really liking it, however the color (red) she wanted was not on sale. But the pink colored bag was on sale. She decided that she would get it. Luckily the sales associate came from the back with the last brand new bag (still wrapped in plastic). She took the bag over to a gentleman to wrap up and take care of our transaction. So we followed him to the counter, in which he began to rip off the plastic. My mom actually asked if he could leave the plastic, as she said she wasn't planning on using right away. You could tell that he thought this was an odd request by the way he asked to confirm my mom's wishes. But continues to rip off the plastic off one of the handles but left the other plastic intact. This really made me feel kind of odd. But anyways, he began wrapping my mom's purse in their signature box and wrapped it up with a bow. He did take quite a bit of time to put this together and then placed it in a large bag and walked around the counter to give it to my mom instead of over the counter. He did mention to my mom that the concierge has a special bag drop off in case she still has more shopping to do and does not want to carry this huge bag around with her (all of this packaging for one small handbag). He pointed us directly where one of the nearest bag drop off locations was, which we went to immediately (I believe they only provide this service during the Thanksgiving to Christmas season). In the end, service was great (but could have been a little better when we paid for our item) and would shop here again in the future. By the way, this location no longer sells child sized items (a recent change). The sales associate helping my mom told me that they have to direct their customers to the Burberry website for that now. read more

This is my whole experience for having an item repaired. I received a Burberry wallet a bit over a year ago and within a few months the corners started to rip. I guess its made of some special skin, which is why it rips quick? Not sure. I called the store and a representative told me that I can bring it in since its Burberry and they will always take care of Burberry items.. So I drive an hour and a half to this store and upon entry I see a man talking with another person (who I assumed worked there) but neither of them were paying attention so I kindly went up and asked him "hello, do you work here?" and he looks at me and replies "No, I dont. Im just standing here". There was now an awkward, uncomfortable silence and I respond with "ok sor..." and he cuts me off and says "yes. I work here". This guy was NOT funny.. I would have been totally down for a good friendly laugh but this was anything but nice. To make a long story short they turned me away and said they would not fix my wallet because I did not have the receipt. Keep in mind I even offered to pay! I was NOT just looking for some free service. It wasn't until I left, thought about it, told my girlfriend to wait outside for me, and went back inside and demanded them to fix my wallet because I did not drive over an hour (because the representative on the phone told me to) to be turned away. The manager for the first 80% of the time was also rude and it wasn't until we started to argue that she decided she would fix my wallet for "ehh. it will be maybe $50 or so. ill tell them to only charge you $50". So since when does a manager determine how much it is to fix a wallet before the repair service even see's it? I would never come back here. To the guy working the front, his attitude was extremely unprofessional. Upon picking up my wallet today, Sunday, thankfully there was a women who was very polite, professional, and nice. But ALL TOGETHER I would AVOID this location. read more

I visited this boutique shop during the week and happily returned with my beautiful scarf and a pair of sunglasses, had to stop myself there otherwise I would have kept getting more! Tatiana helped me throughout the whole shopping experience, she was friendly and helpful, not pushy and gave me room to browse on my own, great service! I have been mixed about Burberry clothing for a while. Like any designer, they've had great collections and the 'what-were-you-thinking?' collections. I walked into this store and was warmly greeted by a staff member who asked if I needed help finding anything. I said I was looking at the sale items and she proceeded to show me the rooms where I would find them. I browsed the racks and found a great yellow sweater and long-sleeved top, both on sale. Another clerk named Sunny opened a room for me to try them on. I will tell you that the dressing rooms are roomy and very nice. :) At the time, I was thinking about both items and asked if Sunny could hold them for me for a few minutes. Normally, they cannot hold sale items but she said since we'd be back shortly, she'd make an exception. I ended up coming back later but she still had the two items on hold which was a pleasant surprise. I purchased both items and she helped me look at a navy blue zip-up sweater which I decided to think about. When she wrapped up my items, she placed them on nice hangers, then in a garment bag, and finally into a large Burberry shopping bag with ribbon to tie the bag shut. They had a great selection of winter pieces and ended up getting some beautiful scarves and got a gorgeous coat for myself! They had a wide variety of pieces to choose from which was great. My only issue as to why this is not five stars is that while the store was busy, I think the salesperson could do a better job of attending us. read more

My most recent visit to this Burberry demonstarted that their customer services goes above and beyond! I was shopping for a coat in a color they didn't have here in stock. The very friendly staffer who helped me quickly found the coat I wanted in another store, and arranged to have them hold it so I could pick it up. I love Burberry. I normally go to the store that is located in Santa Monica which is smaller than this one. This store is big and has a large display of clothes, shoes and bags. You will definitely enjoy shopping here. I'm a pragmatic person. I'm not the type of woman that enjoy walking and trying tons of clothes, I don't know why but that's not fun for me, that's why I was delighted with my shopping experience at this store. Customer service was great, I specially need to thank Edward for his help. He was fast, precise, talked to me just enough, not like others that make me confused with all their blah-blah.... As soon as I walked inside the store, he asked me if I needed help, so I told him the items that I was looking for, he immediately brought all the things, I tried them on, chose the ones that fitted me well, he brought me water, I turned around and all the items were nicely packed waiting for me, I paid. I had one man help me from NY when I originally purchased a pair of cufflinks for my boyfriend. However, he already had a near similar pair. It's been about 50 days. I went in to return it, store credit, anything. Just didn't want to waste $210 on a pair of cufflinks he won't wear. I go in and they immediately turn me away saying it's "been over 30 days." They've NEVER been worn. Never even out of their pretty little box. Freaking infuriating. I would never drop a dime at Burberry again. It's entirely at the discretion of the store manager too, so the fact that this is such a crappy policy is due to how cheap this manager is. Heaven forbid he/she loses whatever profit margin it would take to allow store credit. They'd have to restock these cufflinks...and allow me to grab a new pair. God forbid. Never shopping here again. Customer service varies here. They definitely size you up when you walk in so that determines if they'll be super helpful or meh. When I can get assistance, they're pretty polite, but they're always keeping an eye out for the bigger spenders so they're not as attentive as sales staff from other boutiques. read more

You wont regret if.ur buying for yourself but if its.a.gift.dont bother. My brother got 3 burberry brit shirts for xmas and apparently they have a classic and slim fit and he likes the slim fit. I came and I didn't have the reciept they told me they couldnt do anything even exchange. Really your damn product and yet you cant even exchange the size? Burberry lost it. Sorry but if its your product and it doesnt fit the person why not exchange it we are not.returning. Typically money hungry jerks. Pushy sales associates, disorganized store, limited selection! The sales associates here are VERY IN-YOUR-FACE. Every time I've come here, I've wished that the SA that assisted me would give me some breathing (and thinking) space! With the SA following me throughout the store to guarantee that she could ring up my purchase, I felt like a tree that a dog pisses on to mark as his/her territory. Enough, I get it, I'll give my merchandise to you when I'm done shopping! The drawer of scarves in the middle of the store were very disorganized, strewn all over the place, and a complete mess! Also, the last time I visited, their tie selection was very limited -- I found a much wider assortment at the neighboring Nordstrom, Bloomingdale's, and Saks Fifth Avenue. Quality service and quality products. Quality service- The staff at this location is friendly and attentive (without being TOO attentive) even though you may not purchase anything. They will let you browse on your own, which is NICE. I've never felt unwelcome. They have a repair center that I will utilize this weekend. Gift wrap is fairly quicker than other designer stores. I always feel taken care of as opposed to other stores with over formal excessiveness (starts with C and ends with artier). The sales associates at this store are cool as hell. I'm not the typical Burberry customer and I went in there looking like an extra from Malcolm in the Middle. The SA was really sweet, knowledgeable and patient. Actually, I feel sorry for some of the sales folks, because of some of the customers they have to deal with are shrill and pushy. I recommend them for their selection and the professionalism of the staff. read more
