A friendly place that not only does modern cars but works on oldies too, 1940's , 1950's and 1960's.... Steve is an easy to talk to guy who can de rust your cooling system or re core your old radiator, he has the full setup : tank, torch, bead blaster (I think he uses walnuts) and so on . He had no problem soldering up a leak I had on a steel tank . Support this small locally owned business, there are not a lot of places that still do this kind of works . -Nate read more

OMG! Steve the owner was so knowledgeable and efficient! My friend and I both had older cars that needed A/C service, so we tackled the 15 minute drive (sans A/C) convoyed into his shop. We left the cars there and were told that he would call us with the diagnosis. Within an hour or so he called and gave us the news (ie cost) and just wanted our approval. The following day he called and told us that BOTH cars were ready! Talk about efficient! I felt that the cost was very fair, keeping in mind that I had a 1993 Jeep! Keep up the good job! Thank you! read more

We like to honor local businesses, which lead me to Burbank Radiator Service when I had AC problems with my new-to-me Mustang. Steve was very friendly and professional, and we lifted the hood and he spent several minutes before offering his opinion of needed repairs. His price was more than reasonable. Steve fixed it the same day and offered suggestions for other local shops to handle other issues. Quality service at a reasonable price performed quickly at a local shop. What more can you ask? I'll go back to Steve anytime! read more

Steve is awesome! I had taken my ford ranger to another mechanic and he did some shady work and proceeded to say I needed to spend additional money to fix the truck. I was recommenced Steve from a friend and took my truck to him, he had it diagnosed and fixed within a day, for an EXTREMELY reasonable price !! Im stoked, my truck runs great and doesn't overheat anymore. Its hard to find reliable, honest, trustworthy mechanics these days. Steve fits all those descriptions. An excellent experience. Real nice guy and very communicative. Excellent service and prices. I will be back with any other issues with my truck , and will be recommending him to everyone I know. thanks Steve read more

UPDATE: So now it's 2020, and my '68 Cadillac Coupe deVille has not overheated at all since Steve rebuilt the radiator back in 2016! This is one cool running Caddy! And still not a single leak! So now, in the middle of this coronavirus "stay at home" orders, I'm turning my attention to getting a couple of other things fixed on my Caddy. Like the A/C REALLY needs to be checked out. Everything works, just doesn't blow ice cold. Gonna call Steve in the a.m. and see what we can do! read more

Steve is always amazing! I'm so glad we were referred to him years ago. We had an issue with the AC and the dealership said we have to do this and then that for what seemed to be an insane cost and I felt deep down I was getting ripped off! I went and got a second opinion from Steve. He told me what the dealership required wasn't necessary and fixed it for a fraction of the cost. Steve is extremely HONEST and I would recommend him to anybody....... read more

You're a fool if you go here. Let me explain. At the time of writing this I saw only one 1 star review. I dismissed it because of the other good reviews, that was a mistake. I brought my work van in one afternoon and spoke with Steve (the owner and only worker there) about repairing the air conditioning. He saw my van, said bring it back at 8:00am next day and he would inspect it for $65. I agreed, and was waiting outside as he opened his door at 8:00 the next day. I greeted him good morning, and the first thing he says is: "Listen, vans are a pain in the ass to work on, I don't like working on them anyways so now it's $90 and that's just the way it is". Worse, he was upset with me (?!). Suddenly realizing what & whom I was dealing with that feeling of untrustworthiness washed over me. It wasn't the money but knowing that if I left my vehicle with this bi-polar man I would be in for more surprises. Floored, my curiosity wanted to know more. So I let him finish and I stated that not only did we discuss the type of vehicle the day before, but that he was looking straight at it at the time. It wasn't like I just showed up out of nowhere. I also asked how I was supposed to trust him now if someone behaved like he was. He just said "I don't care". I countered with the fact that he's been in business for a long time and that if he felt this way about van's how on earth did he forget about this? (btw- the guy that recommended me to Steve has the exact same van that he said Steve has worked on). Steve just looked confused, and shook his head trying to talk but with nothing coming out. I then told him that I had to cancel my day to give up my only transportation, arrange a ride back while he had my vehicle and before I could finish he rolls his eyes and says "Oh! Here we go!" as if this wasn't the first time he's heard this from customers. Listen carefully to me folks, I also do repair for a living, there is something very off about this guy, very non comital, very untrustworthy. Don't believe me? Good. Go in and meet him, he's very sweet easy going and you will wonder what on earth I was talking about. Until you see his other side. Good luck. read more

Steve is fantastic!!! My AC suddenly stopped working while driving in the crazy summer heat, I had a 100 mile journey the following day and no idea who to take my car to. His prices are reasonable, and I would absolutely recommend him. Thanks Steve. read more

Came to Burbank Radiator after being quoted an extremely high rate at another mechanic. Took my car and fixed everything for a 4th of the price as the other guys! Before Yelp was on the Internet there was "word of mouth". I have been referring my customers, friends and family members to Steve at Burbank Radiator since 1998. It all started when I was driving my 1972 (Mod Squad Yellow) Mustang and the Air-conditioning just decided to stop working in the middle of a very hot summer. I took the car to 3-4 places around the Burbank area. They all said the same thing. "You need a new compressor" The estimates for repair were between a minimum of 750 to 1,100 dollars. Then I took the car to Steve. After spending a few minutes with the car he discovered what other mechanics could not or did not find. It was a simple pin hole leak in one of the hoses. Steve's charge? It was under 70 dollars! He replaced the hose, filled her back up, the A/C worked amazingly well and he saved me hundreds of dollars. I have been back to Steve with several other cars all with the same result. Quality work, honesty and integrity at great prices! read more

I have been using Burbank Radiator for years! (They do more than just radiators) They keep my 67 Dodge cool, calm and collected. I will soon see them again for fuel line/tank servicing. Great to know there are still businesses like this, they are a rare commodity today! read more

Great work great price, the owner has been in business since taking over for his father. Theyre an original Burbank business with integrity!

Got my radiator repaired here, 7/6/16. I had called SEVERAL places and all the quotes I received were well over $350. Steve, the owner, not only quoted me a price less than $300, but I ended up paying even less because I paid in cash. He had ordered the part ahead of time, and had my job done in about 4 hours! Steve is a really friendly guy, KNOWS his craft, and definitely is an HONEST businessman, and willing to to his best for his customers! He even phoned me as a follow up to make sure the truck was working ok?? Who does that??? Steve does! I know that I have found my "go-to" for any radiator/air-conditioning work on a car! THANK YOU STEVE! read more

In January of 2018, the radiator in my the radiator in my 1973 MGB-GT failed at the top seam. I researched both copper and aluminum replacements and talked to Steve, who recommended a heavy-duty core (which looks just like the OEM one) and my original tanks. Fast-forward to 3 weeks ago (Late July, 2019) when I lost my primary vehicle to an accident. I could have rented a car but decided to use my MG to commute to work, about 26 miles from Encino to Santa Clarita. The afternoon temperature over the last 3 weeks has ranged from 90-102F and the car has not missed a beat! The gauge reads at "N" (~180F) or less for the entire commute, regardless of traffic or climbing the hill, and the engine runs perfectly. Prior to installing Steve's radiator, It would read over half way from "N" to "H" and the engine would run poorly at low speed. If you have a vintage car that you want to drive and enjoy in the So Cal heat, go see Steve at Burbank Radiator Services, I think you will be very happy! read more

Came here on the recommendation of a co-worker. Just bought another Grand Marquis and the blend door outdent work, all i got was hot air. Steve quoted me a fair price (on the Grand Marquis you need to remove the dash) and got it done faster than expected. He even took the time to dismantle the old part to show me what went wrong. Good price, quality parts and work--I'll be back for sure. read more

Steve is the man! My AC stopped working, and I took my car in expecting a huge, expensive fix. Very honest and knowledgeable mechanic. read more

I bought a radiator in the past from these guys and I just took my Subaru in to see what was up with the over heating issue. Blown head gasket. Don't buy a Subaru btw!! Oh well. I was flushing the cooling system on my Italian motorcycle when the drain Bolt of my radiator came out with all the threads attached. This left me with a large hole in the bottom of one of the tanks. I removed it and brought it here and Steve explained my options to repair it. He took care of the problem and gave me the radiator back the next day. The repair has been working great. Saved over $300 by repairing this instead of buying a new one. read more

Steve is as good or better that his reviews. Take your car here in complete confidence. I was going to get rid of my '65 Cutlass because no one could solve the overheating problem. I can't tell you how much I spent at other places trying to get this fixed. (Really, I can't tell you. Every time I think about it I get gassy. Don't ask.) Steve fixed it! And, at a reasonable price. No more being stranded while it cools down - or radiator geysers of antifreeze. Some of what the other guys did might have helped a little? But Steve fixed it! Done. And, he went out of his way to get the parts. It's fun to drive again! Plus, I can take the kids in it because we actually get where we are going. Will never go anywhere else! read more

Steve is an expert and a fair professional. Worked on my RV and has been running cool ever since. I recommend him to everyone of my friends

Went a year without A/C and with summer starting again, it was time to bite the bullet. I initially got a quote from Steve and was not charged. I tried another shop looking for a quote knowing the issue since Steve already told me. That cost me $70 and in total was $200 more than what Steve had quoted me. I finally got my car back over to Burbank Radiator. It took a few tries with a wiring issue. Not Steve's fault, but he fixed it, and fixed it again. Good, honest and friendly, and knows what he's doing. I hope i dont have to see him again, but I would recommend anyone with A/C issues to go see Steve. read more

This is an honest American business. Steve is the owner and primary mechanic. He does an excellent job at an honest price and I was extremely happy with the service. He saved me more than half what one of the bigger shops was quoting, was easier to work with and actually replaced my radiator faster than they would have. I couldn't more strongly recommend Burbank radiator. read more
