Gotten taken advantage of with my transmission flush in 2020 when they used the wrong transmission fluid and my water pump/serpentine belt in 2024 which was I'm assuming bad/poor quality parts due to short life span. Had to replace both in the last few months and got charged way over the average cost for parts and labor. Ex: transmission flush in 2020 by Precision Motorsports I was charged $560, while last month in 2025 I was changed $430 at my new shop for the same flush with the correct fluid for my vehicle. Can't say enough good things about Harvey at Precision Motorsports, guy is straightforward, honest and trustworthy. I would echo the other positive reviews here, and also warn readers to be careful about the negative reviews on any business because a lot of times they are coming from competitors, or in the case of auto shops, people who simply don't understand how cars even function and blame a mechanic for a problem that has nothing to do with the work that was performed at the shop they are reviewing. I've been going to this place for years, and they have always bent over backwards to help me out. The level of personal service you get here is unmatched by any other independent shop I've used. I'm not going to sugarcoat this review, they have not always been perfect, but I have only had minor complaints at best, and if I do, Harvey addresses them and corrects any issue without complaint. I would not hesitate to take your car here if you are tired of paying through the nose for dealer service. If you are clear about what you want and what to expect from this kind of a shop, you will not be disappointed. Always, always be up front with a mechanic about what you expect from a shop, because mechanics are not mind readers! I was so screwed. And not in a way I'd prefer. I left Ventura for San Diego with a weird squeak sound in my front-right area of my car; by the time I got to LA, the sound was freaking horrible. Harvey ROCKS! He is the best. The most honest, trustworthy mechanic I have ever had. I found him becaue he saved my friend from replacing an engine. Another mechanic had told him it was shot and would cost him $1500 to fix. Harvey said, "what do you mean, it's this $50 part right here." Now, that's honest! I've been going to him for 9 years and he has never lead me wrong. I made the mistake this month of thinking that another mechanic should change the struts on my car. It was a little bit cheaper (cheaper parts), and when they asked for cash, I should have taken a clue. The other mechanic (Sunset Auto) broke a strut, fixed it with vice grips and had me drive off that way! Risking my life of puncturing a tire and getting into an accident! Harvey would never do that. Harvey from Precision Motorsports installed my Accel Coil Packs on my 2001 Expedition. Great Job for a reasonable price. If you have a Ford Truck that has coil packs and it has over 100K miles and the coil packs start going bad... Here is a GREAT TIP: REPLACE THEM ALL at one time. Not one at a time... I got all 8 high performance coil packs from Amazon.com for $180. Individually they cost more than $50 each and another $50 installation. Get them done all at once and save $$$$.
