This guy is AWESOME! So here's my story. Car wouldn't start in the morning, popped the hood, saw the cable going to the positive terminal was super corroded. I removed the corrosion and the connector just disintegrated, leaving no connection to the battery. Uh, oh.I managed to rig something up just to get the car started and I limped over to Burbank Auto Tech and I said, "Can you help me out?" He dropped what he was doing, took a look under the hood, grabbed some tools and had me back on the road in like 5 or 6 minutes! I said, "How much do I owe you?" He smiled and said, "Nothing." This place is awesome! I came here after being COMPLETELY taken advantage of at Valvoline, where I was charged $80 for a cabin filter!! Being a 26-year-old female, I know nothing about cars.... I needed a new serpentine belt for my car last week, and I decided to research how much it would cost. NAPA auto parts said a new belt was about $40, but I would have to install it myself- that was not going to happen-so, I did some more research on Yelp and came across this wonderful auto repair shop... I stumbled upon this place completely on accident when trying to take my car to the body/repair shop where I had previously had work done. I made a phone appointment, but when I arrived there to drop off the car, I was shocked to be told they were now solely a body shop, and had sold the repair shop and phone number to a new owner/location! After a quick phone call was made to get the new address, I was introduced to Onik, who has taken good care of my Mazda Protege for about 3 years now! So far I've had all four struts replaced, a new clutch, timing belt and brakes done.. all at reasonable prices and completed when promised! After reading all the Yelp review i went to this place and got super cheated.The mechanic was so rude and wouldn't even help me understand the problem of my car and just quotes the price saying breaks and rotars needs to be changed.I check with the other mechanics and said there no need of the rotars and just resurfacing it would do where in here i was asked for $120 more or the mechanic said he would guarantee anything . May be the management changed or i met the worng person . Just check will before you go there or wait for other reviews after me. hope this helps other yelpers and nt get cheated like me read more

I started going to this location after reading some yelp reviews, and I have to agree with everyone else: they are fair, efficient, and honest. Last time I went to get my car's oil changed, I said that I may need my brakes replaced because they were making funny sounds. Onik let me know that no, they didn't need to be replaced just yet - but at my next oil change, I should bring it in and have them replaced then. The fact that he told me NO about an extra $300 he could have received amazed me. Quite simply the best. The fact that they are located right near where I work means that I will only be going to Burbank Auto Tech for all my car needs. Also, I can never find store hours for them - but I've dropped off my car at 7:30 on weekdays, which seems to be generally when they open. Hope this is helpful!! read more

I am so glad I got onto Yelp before selecting a shop. I got a few over the phone estimates for a radiator & thermostat. They were all within $50 of each other. When I called Burbank Auto Tech, the man was very nice over the phone and really straightforward. In addition, he said that I could leave my car that night and drop the key (w/ my details) through the slot and pick up my car the next day. I ordered a rear tire online for my Suzuki V-strom and had it shipped to the shop. Onik called upon delivery and we set up an appointment for this morning at 8am. After reading the glowing reviews on Yelp I went to see Onik about my issue. Everything I read was true. He told me that my problem wasn't a big deal however he didn't have the machine to determine which hose was impacting the Service Engine light. I passed the emissions part of the Smog Check when I went to Pep Boys however because the Check Engine light was on it didn't pass completely. Onik offered to turn off the light (no charge) and told me to drive around for 50 miles and when I return he would see if it would pass the Smog Check. This guy is the real deal, fast and honest. I had a hard time driving 50 miles today so I will return tomorrow to see if my car passes. I have a 7 year old BMW and need some minor work done on it and I am thrilled to find an honest mechanic within walking distance of my home. read more
